Xavier: ♪ Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum! ♪ Shhh!

Xavier/Yadina/Brad: Wooohooo! Wheeee! Whaaaa!

Brad: Ah-aaah! Ayyy!

Xavier: Hey there! Welcome to the show!

Yadina: Today we're meeting an amazing artist: Michelangelo!

[blop]Brad: Ugh!

Michelangelo was an Italian painter and sculptor,

who was born over years ago.

Xavier: A sculptor is someone

who molds material into art.

Yadina: Like a statue made out of wood, or metal, or clay

[gasps] or even stone!

Brad: Oo-oh-ooh!

What could we mold this into?

Xavier: I have an idea...

[tapping]

Yadina: [off screen] Nice work, Xavier!

Now, time to START THE SHOW!

[click]

Yadina [off-screen funny voice] Hey, Goldie.

Do you know what the ocean said to the shore?

[off-screen funny voice] I don't know, Fin-eas,

what did the ocean say to the shore?

Yadina: [off-screen funny voice] Nothing. It just waved!

Yadina/Xavier: [giggle] Brad: [claps] Wooohooo!

These puppets you made are super neat, Yadina!

Yadina: It took me a whole week to make them!

But it was totally worth it.

Xavier: Mhm! Mom are Dad are gonna

love our puppet show tonight.

[fish puppet voice] It'll be a splash!

Wahoo! Woo woo woooo!

Without any water.

Brad: Maybe I could help with that.

[thinking] Hmm...

Oh! I could make you a set for the show!

Xavier/Yadina: Cooooool!

Brad: It'll be a water wonderland,

with waves that actually...

wave!

Yadina: [giggles] That looks fishtastic, Brad!

Dr. Zoom agrees.

Xavier: [fish puppet voice] Us, too!

Brad: Great! I've never made a puppet set before,

but I'm sure I can get it done in NO TIME!

[kaplunk]

♪♪

[thunk] Oh!

♪♪

[excited] Yes! [thud]

Two words.

Oy and vey.

[frustrated sigh]

How am I gonna finish this for the puppet show tonight?

Yadina/Xavier: [gasp]

Brad: Um...wait, no! I can make it - look!

[grunting]

See?

[thud]

[sighs]

You can say it.

Xavier/Yadina: To the Secret Museuuum!

♪♪

Brad: Heeeyy! Wait for me!

♪ [playful music]

♪♪

Xavier: Are you ready?

Brad: [hesitant] Here we go...

Xavier: I wonder who the Secret Museum will send us to meet?

Yadina: And where we'll go?

Brad: And whe-- [gasps]

[loud footsteps]

Whew!

Uaaaah! Wait up!

Yadina: Look out below! Xavier: Wooohoooo!

Xavier/Yadina: Hi, Berby! Berby: [blarp]

Brad: Hi, Berby! Berby: [bleep bloop]

Oof!

Xavier: [excited humming] Berby: [whoooo]

Xavier: We're getting something!

It's a...

hammer?

Brad: Maybe the Secret Museum

wants me to smash the puppet set to pieces?

Yadina: I wonder who it belonged to?

Xavier: Michelangelo.

That's who we're going to meet!

Yadina: In Italy, in ?

Brad: Wait! That's over...

[mumbling]

[gasps] years ago!

Uuuaaah...

Yadina: I wonder...

...how this kid with the beard and hammer

is going to help us build Brad's puppet set?

Xavier: Only one way to find out!

Ready for adventure? Yadina: Ready!

Brad: Can I just send one of the fish puppets in my place?

[resigned sigh] Ready.

Berby: [bleep blarp bloop] [wahooo]

Yadina: [off screen] Here we go!

Berby: [blarp bloop]

Xavier: It's happening! Yadina: Hang on Dr. Zoom!

Xavier: Woohoo!

Brad: Whoah!

Berby: [bloop blarp]

♪♪

[zap!]

Brad: Whoah! Uh-uuh-uah!

Aaah! We're under the ocean! [big breath]

Yadina: Woah. So many fish paintings...

Brad: [long exhale]

Michelangelo: [speaking Italian] No, non va bene.

No, no, no, no.

No! Non va bene!

Berby: [blarp]

Xavier: That's our guy! Michelangelo.

Thanks, Berby. Berby: [bleep blarp]

Michelangelo: No, no, no! No, no.

Non abbastanza pescoso.

Xavier: But...what's he saying?

Yadina: Xavier, we're in Italy.

He's speaking Italian!

We need the translator!

Xavier: Oh! Right.

[giggles]

I got this.

Michelangelo: Tropo squamoso... Too scaly...

Eh, not scaly enough...

Ummmm...too dog-like.

[sigh] None of these are right.

Xavier: Excuse me, Michelangelo?

Um, did you draw all these?

Yadina: Cause we think they look pretty good!

[whispers] They are supposed to be fish, right?

Brad: Um... Michelangelo: [chuckles] Yes.

And thank you, but,

I want to draw a fish that's better than good.

I want it to look...real!

Brad: Oh I dunno, I think they're real enough

to fool some pretty smart cookies.

Michelangelo: They're close. Maybe...

But I'll have to spend more time on it.

Brad: Looks like you've already spent a lot of time on it.

Michelangelo: True. But,

genius is eternal patience.

Yadina: Huh?

Michelangelo: That means,

doing something well takes time.

Yadina/Brad: [understanding] Ohhhhh!

[distant chatter]

Michelangelo: Hmmm--

Aha!

And sometimes it takes 'field work'.

C'mon!

♪♪

Hmmm...

[gasps]

♪♪

Yes.

Look! Look! Look at the shape

of these scales!

The way the eyes bulge!

Brad: Eeyahh!

Michelangelo: How they wobble when you wiggle them.

Wobble, wobble, like this!

This and THIS! Brad: Oh!

Are we sure that taking all this extra time

to draw one little fish, is really worth it?

Xavier: I dunno, Brad.

You'd have to ask-- Michelangelo: [off screen] YES!

[triumphant laugh] YES!

This is exactly what I wanted. Look!

Brad: [off screen] It looks so...

real.

Yadina: Now it's like we're under the sea.

Michelangelo: Thank you!

I knew I could do it.

If I was patient, and took my time.

Hmm--

Mhm.

Brad: How is this going to help me

build the puppet set for tonight?

Oh! Should we ask Michelangelo

to paint us one instead?

Berby: [Uhn uh]

Xavier: I think that's a no...

Brad: Uaaaah!

[zap]

Oof!

Xavier: Oah, ugh! Brad: Ugh.

Whoaaaah! Where are we?

Uaaagh!

WHEN are we?

Berby: [blerp]Xavier: Berby says we're still in Italy,

years later!

Yadina: [gasps] Look!

There's Michelangelo.

Xavier: And there's the hammer thing, from the Secret Museum!

Yadina: Hi, Michelangelo!

Are you going to paint a really BIG fish this time?

Michelangelo: [chuckles] No, I'm going to make a copy

of this old sculpture for my art class.

Brad: Waaah!

You sure you just don't want to do another fish?

Michelangelo: Quite sure.

Well...here we go!

Xavier: Um--

But won't this take-- Yadina: Forever?

Michelangelo: It may take a long time.

[effort]

But I want to do a good job.

And doing something well, takes time.

Brad: Uh...

How much time are we talking?

♪♪ [hammer tapping]

Hmm-- Yadina: I'm hungry...

[yawns] Xavier: I'm tired...

♪♪ [hammer tapping]

I love pizza!

Brad: I wanna eat in Italy every day.

Yadina: ♪ Do do do! Do do do!

[giggles]

Brad: Breathe in... Yadina: Ommm...

Xavier: Ommm..

♪♪ [hammer tapping]

Brad: Oh!

[sleepy] Michelangelo? Is your sculpture fin-- WAHH!

Yadina: Whoa. It's finished!

Xavier: And it's even better than the one

you were trying to copy!

Brad: Also...scarier!

Michelangelo: Uhh...I think.

Yadina: How'd you do it? It took so long!

We kinda, sorta, well... we fell asleep.

Michelangelo: That's how I did it!

By taking my time.

Brad: Riiight!

Like how you took your time to paint the fish.

Or Yadina took a week to make her puppets.

Because doing something well takes time!

Yadina? Xavier?

Could you wait a few days to put on the puppet play?

I'm just gonna need a bit more time to work on the set.

Xavier: Totally. Yadina: Of course, Brad!

Brad: Thanks for your help, Michelangelo.

Michelangelo: Okay! Ciao!

Xavier: Bye! Yadina: Keep up the good work!

Brad: Berby, let's go home.

Berby: [whoooo]

[zap]

♪♪

Brad: YES! Yadina: [giggles]

[off-screen fish voice] Welcome, welcome...

to our sea-tacular play

about three fishy friends

who go on an adventure...

Through friendly waving waaaaaves!

Xavier: Our puppet play was a hit!

Yadina: Especially the awesome set.

Brad: It's all thanks to Michelangelo.

Some of his paintings and sculptures

took YEARS to make.

They inspired artists

all over the world.

Yadina: Even Dr. Zoom was inspired...

All: [giggle]

Brad: Dr. Zoom, It looks just like you!

Xavier: Thanks for joining our awesome adventure

to meet Michelangelo.

Yadina: Who used to be a kid,

just like you and me.

Brad: So kids like you can change the world!

Yadina: I am Yadina.

Xavier: I am Xavier.

Brad: I am Brad.

And I know doing something well takes time,

just like Michelangelo.

Xavier: Vroom-vroom-vroom! Vroom!

Vroom-vroom-vroom! Vroom!

Incoming!

[break noises]

Hi, everyone!

Welcome to the show.

Today we're meeting--

Uh, Brad? Yadina?

You can stop now!

Brad/Yadina: [sigh of relieve]

[exhausted breathing]

Xavier: As I was saying,

today we're meeting someone

who raced cars like this one

over one hundred years ago.

Dorothy Levitt.

Back then, cars had only just been invented

and most people didn't know how to drive.

Dorothy wrote a book to help teach other women.

Yadina: I bet her book could teach boys

how to drive their own cars, too.

Xavier: Totally! But I bet

I know one thing Dorothy didn't.

Brad: [panting] What's that?

Xavier: How to start the show! [panting]

[click!]

I'm so excited to try skateboarding!

I can't wait to zip down those, uh-

rampy-thingies...

Slide across those bar...

uh, whatsits!

Yadina/Brad: [confused] Whatsits?

Xavier: Y'know... what they're doing.

- Woohoo!

- Wooh!

Xavier: [gasps] Yeah!

Woah...

Brad: Xavier, you miiight wanna take a lesson or two

before you try that.

Xavier: Thanks, but no thanks, Brad.

I know how my skateboard works:

one foot on the board,

the other pushes off

and gravity does the rest!

Oooh!

WHAAAAH! [tumbling]

Oooh-oh!

Brad/Yadina: [cringing]

Xavier: Ooof!

I, uh...slipped.

But I got this.

Wah! Uaaaah!

Aaaah!

[grunting]

♪ Woaaaaah!

[sliding sound]



[sliding sound]



Uah!

[sliding/squeaking sound]

[bonk!]

Yadina: Are you okay, Xavier?

Ugh! Aaaah!

Xavier: [sighs] I'm okay.

But, I don't know what happened.

I thought I knew what I was doing, but I...

[sigh]

Skateboarding is impossible.

Yadina: Maybe lessons aren't such a bad idea?

Xavier: [sad sigh]

I think I'll just go home.

Yadina: [gasps] Brad,

are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Well, if you're thinking that you REALLY hope

we can help Xavier without travelling through time

because it always makes you dizzy,

then, yes.

Yadina: To the Secret Museum!

Xavier: The Secret Museum? Yes!

It can turn me into a master skateboarder!

Brad: But, Yadina...

that's the opposite of what I was thinking!

Heeeyyy! Wait for me!

Xavier: I wonder who the Secret Museum will send us to meet?

Yadina: And where we'll go?

Brad: And when.

Yadina: [gigles] Woah!

[cuckoo clock chimes] Brad: Uaaah!

Yadina: Look out below! Xavier: Woohoo!

Xavier/Yadina: Hi, Berby! Berby: [burrs]

Brad: Hi, Berby! Berby: [burrs]

Ugh! [bam!]

Xavier: [humming] Berby: [burrs]

Xavier: We're getting something!

Brad: It's a... mirror?

Xavier: Maybe the Secret Museum is trying to make me feel better

by showing me what a great hair day I'm having?

That's who we're going to meet!

Dorothy Levitt.

Yadina: In England, in the year .

Brad: [calculating] That's...

over years ago!

How many years are in years?

[groans]

It's still years.

Xavier: I wonder how Dorothy Levitt will turn ME

into a wicked skateboarder.

Yadina: Only one way to find out...

Xavier: Ready for adventure?

Yadina: Ready.

Brad: Have you considered trying to learn

checkers instead, Xavier?

There's a lot less falling involved...

[innocent giggle]

Ugh! Berby: [burrs]

[deep breath]

Ready.

Berby: [burrs]

Yadina: Here we go!

Brad: It's happening!

Yadina: Hang on Dr. Zoom!

Xavier: Woohoo!

Brad: Whoaaaa!

Berby: [burrs]

All: Upf!

Berby: [burrs]

Brad: Blah! Hah, one of my better landings.

I'm getting good at this.

Brad/Xavier/Yadina: Eek! Aiii/Agh/Oof.

Brad: [embarrassed giggle]

[distant horse whiney]

Xavier: [gasps]

A horse!

Berby: [burrs]

Yadina: And Dorothy Levitt.

Thanks, Berby.

Berby: [burrs]

Yadina: Hello!

Can we please pet your horse?

Dr. Zoom loves horses.

Dorothy: Yes, of course.

I'm Dorothy.

And this is Sugarcube.

[horse neighs] She's very gentle.

Do you wanna go for a little ride?

Xavier: That would be awesome!

Alright!

[struggling]

Uaaah!

Almost...

[effort]

Dorothy: I think this might be your first time riding a horse?

Xavier: WAAA--Oof!

What gives you that idea?

Dorothy: [giggles] Here.

Stand on this stool.

Xavier: Egh!

Dorothy: [off screen] Now lift your leg over her body.

Xavier: Oough!

Dorothy: And then, pull yourself to the centre

so you feel comfortable.

Xavier: [gasps] I'm on!

Dorothy: Exactly!

When you're learning a new skill,

it helps to start with the basics.

Once you've got that down,

you can work your way up to walking...

Aaah!

[tsc-tsc]

And galloping...

And then jumping!

Xavier: [gasps] Woah!

I totally get why the Secret Museum sent us

to meet Dorothy Levitt.

So I can trade in my skateboard for a horse!

Berby: [burrs]

Yadina: Pretty sure that's a 'no'.

Brad: Ah ah ah, AHHH!

AIIII!

[dizzy groan]

Yadina: Are we at a horse track?

Berby: [bleep blarp]

Xavier: Berby says it's years later.

Berby: [bloop]

[engine rumbling]

Yadina: We're at a race track!

Xavier: [gasps] And there's Dorothy!

[gentle tapping]

Yadina: Dorothy!

You traded your horse in for a...

[uncertain] car?! Dorothy: Yes! Sort of.

Not many people have one of these,

or even know how to drive,

but I LOVE driving.

Xavier: You race cars?!

Dorothy: Indeed I do.

I'm about to race this car in a few minutes.

Brad: Are you nervous?

[engines clicking, revving]

Dorothy: Not at all! [nervous giggle]

Because first, I learned the basics.

I learned all about how cars work,

like how much gas to fill it with,

how to make sure the cap is on...

ugh...tight.

And I learned what a nice healthy engine

should look and sound like.

[engine revs]

Just right.

Hop in!

Yadina: Cool! Xavier: Alright!

Brad: Ummm--

[nervous sight]

Dorothy: Next I learned how to drive the car.

[car humms]

Now, after lots of practice,

I'm ready to race!

Mind holding this for me, please?

Xavier: A mirror?

[to friends] It's the artifact from the Secret Museum!

Annoucer: [off screen] Racers ready!

In three, two...

Brad: Wait, wait, wait!

Are we racing right-- Annoucer: [off screen] One!

GOOOOO! Brad: Noooooowwwwwwwwwwww!

[crowd cheering]

Yadina: Wheee, Dr. Zoom!

Xavier: Woohoo!

[rattling/sputtering] Brad: What's that noise??

Please don't tell me it's our car...

[rattling/sputtering]

[rattling/sputtering] [loud engine hum]

Dorothy: [helpfully calling] Excuse me,

your gas cap is loose!

You should tighten it for the next race.

[rattling/sputtering] [loud engine hum]

[to friends] When learning a new skill

it helps to start with the basics!

[to Xavier] Mirror, please.

Xavier: Oh!

Yay! We passed them!

Dorothy: Yes!

Xavier: Woohoo!

[crowd cheering]Annoucer: [off screen] Dorothy Levitt wins the race!

Dorothy: I won!

Brad: [gasps] She did!

[then, relieved] And the race is over. Oh, finally.

Dorothy: What a race!

Yadina: That was so fun!

Xavier: Dorothy is a really good driver,

just like she was a really good horse rider.

[realize] Ooooh!

The Secret Museum thinks

I should give up skateboarding

and race cars instead!

Brad/Yadina: What?!

Xavier: [laughs] Just kidding.

Dorothy was able to do all those amazing things

because she learned the basics first.

So, that's what I should do with skateboarding!

Berby: [burrs] Xavier: Berby, let's go home.



Ok, what's next?

Teen: Bend your knees a little and tip over the rim,

but use your arms to balance.

Xavier: Do you think I'm ready to go?

Teen: Totally.

And remember, it's cool to wipe out.

Just get back on the board and try again.

Feel ready?

Xavier: You bet!

Now that I've learned the basics.

Here I go...



Woohoo! I did it!

Yadina: Woohaaa! Brad: Xavier!

Brad: Mind teaching us the basics?

Xavier: [giggles] Of course!



Uah-ugh!

Once we learned the basics of how to skateboard,

it made learning tricks way easier.

Brad: Or just not falling way easier.

Xavier: Woohoo!

Dorothy Levitt became an incredible racer,

who broke speed records in cars AND boats.

Brad: And she really did use a mirror

to see behind her when she was driving!

Looong before rear view mirrors were invented for cars.

Woooah! Brad: Woaa-aah!

Yadina: [giggles]

She also inspired a lot of people,

especially women,

to learn how to drive.

Even a super turtle!

Xavier: Thanks for joining our amazing adventure

to meet Dorothy Levitt.

Yadina: Who used to be a kid,

just like you and me!
