are visiting the Neighborhood for the first time.

Welcome to our home!

Valentina: [to Mom] Aw, it's so good to see you.

Mom Tiger: How was your trip?

Valentina: Oh, great...

Juan Carlos: We rode the train

and I saw snow for the first time!

And then Trolley brought us here...Ding! Ding!

Daniel: Ding! Ding!

Daniel/Juan Carlos: [giggle]

Juan Carlos: Whoa!

Look at all the snow!

Daniel: There are lots of things

I want to show you in my neighborhood.

See? The Clock Factory...uhm,

and the Music Shop...

But first-- let's go play in my room!

Mom Tiger: Daniel, I know you're excited

to show Juan Carlos our neighborhood,

but our visitors just got here.

First, we push the snow to the walls...

and today, I'm at the museum to learn about clocks.

Danielle: Hey, Lyric!

I heard you want to learn how clocks work.

Lyric: That's right! Danielle: Alright, perfect.

You came to the right place.

Alright, so we've got some small models of clocks here.

Around the outside, we usually have numbers,

or something to represent numbers.

And that helps us count time.

And then we've got a long hand,

and that's gonna tell us the minutes.

We've got a shorter hand,

that's gonna tell us the hours.

We actually have a big mechanical clock.

[off screen] But it's cool because you can see

what's happening inside.

Do you want to come check it out?

Lyric: Yes.

Danielle: Alright. Let's go see it!

Check out this clock!

This is a mechanical peg clock.

And it's all opened up so that we can see

what's happening inside of it,

and how the clock moves and functions.

Every clock needs an energy source, right?

My little watch has a battery in it;

you're gonna be the battery for this clock, okay?

You're gonna put some energy from your body, into the clock.

[off screen] Going to lift up a big heavy weight,

and then gravity's going to do the work

of pulling the weight down. And as the weight comes down,

the pendulum will start to swing and start to turn the gears.

And each of those gears is going to turn something else,

and then finally we'll get to the hands of the clock,

and it'll start to measure time.

Ooh! It's when all the clocks at the Clock Factory chime

and move at the same time!

I can't wait to see Chime Time...

...and ride Trolley!

Daniel: [gasps] We should walk to the Clock Factory!

We can get there sooner!
