‐ Previously,
on "The Bachelorette"...

‐ Systems are a go
to meet Clare!

‐ 31 men endured quarantine
and COVID tests

to meet Clare Crawley.
‐ Whoo!

‐ Clare, my name is Dale.

‐ But in a shocking
turn of events,

Clare found love
at first sight with Dale.

- ‐ Will you marry me?
- ‐

Yes.

‐ What the just happened?

‐ But 16 men were left
feeling cheated

of an opportunity to find love.

‐ Why am I here?

‐ I still haven't, like,
fully comprehended

what the hell's going on.

‐ It just feels like
there's some

unfinished business here.

‐ What is next for us?

‐ So for the first time
in "Bachelor" history,

a new Bachelorette was summoned,

giving them an unprecedented
second chance at love.

And tonight...

Tayshia's journey begins.

‐ I'm really nervous
'cause I haven't been

in this position, you know?

One of my fears is if they
were gonna be accepting of me.

‐ Full transparency, like,
I had feelings for Clare.

‐ I really wasn't even sure
if I was gonna stay.

‐ I don't know about Tayshia.

‐ Some of the guys might
view me as a second choice.

I never wanna
feel that way again.

‐ Sorry to interrupt.

But I do have to tell you,

everything is about to change.

‐ You're kidding me, dude.
‐ Don't do this right now.

‐ And then...
‐ Hello.

‐ ‐ Clare and Dale return

to tell all.

‐ It's just been

a dream come true.

Everything he was looking for

was everything
I was looking for.

‐ But are the rumors
really true?

There's skepticism out there.

Did you lie
to all of Bachelor Nation?

‐ Um...

‐ It's all coming up tonight
on "The Bachelorette."

‐ We all‐‐we all came in here,

looking for someone like Clare,
uh, who's strong

and independent, and I think
that the next person

who walks through that door
is gonna be similar to Clare

and where they're at
in their life.

‐ I just want to be with someone

who's kind and genuine.

If I can get that,
I'll be a happy man.

So it's been
a roller coaster so far.

You know, we started off with
Clare as the Bachelorette,

and then she fell in love
with Dale.

You know,
we all thought it was over,

but Chris is giving us
another opportunity

to find love.

‐ I'm just ready,
and I'm thinking about

how this first conversation
is gonna go.

And I just can't wait
to meet her.

I'm just more ready
than I've ever been

to just, like, fall in love

and build something real
with someone,

but I have no clue
who the girl is right now.

‐ I'm excited to get
this thing started.

‐ Yeah.
‐ Same.

‐ Oh, my goodness.
‐ Holy...

‐ What?
‐ Oh, my God.

‐ Yo.
‐ Yes.

‐ Hey!

‐ Well, hello.

‐ Hi, guys!

‐ How you doing?
‐ Loosen up.

It's all good!
‐ Yes, yes.

‐ Oh, man.
‐ Hi.

‐ Hello.
‐ I'm Tayshia.

Nice to meet you.
‐ Get in there.

Let's get in there.
‐ Hello, hello!

‐ How are you?
‐ I am good.

Thank you.
Hi.

‐ Wow.

‐ Oh!
‐ Riley‐‐nice to meet you.

‐ Riley, nice to meet you.

‐ She's beautiful...

couldn't be better.

‐ Sorry.
I'm a little hot.

Nice to meet you.
I'm sure you all are‐‐

well, you guys are all hot too.
So...

‐ Hey, all right.
‐ Hello!

‐ What's up? I'm Zac.

You've never seen
jaws drop like...

I'm like, "All right,
this is gonna be good."

‐ Hi.

‐ Hello, hello.

‐ I'm Tayshia,
and I'm here for all of you.

‐ Whew!
‐ Ooh.

‐ So... I'm excited, you guys.

I have to say, if you could
have told me a week ago

that I was gonna be right here,
standing in front

of all of this,
I would have been like,

"There's no way."

But I cannot...

share my gratitude enough,

and thank you, guys,
for staying here.

I know you guys
have been through a lot.

I know exactly what it feels
like to be in your position

as well as...

I'm really nervous too
'cause I haven't been

in this position, you know?

But I will tell you, if you guys

give me the honor
to get to know you‐‐

I know you guys have put a lot
of yourself out there already,

but I really, really hope
you guys don't close off.

I want to lean into this,
and I want you guys

to also lean into it.

First of all,
we gotta have a b*mb summer.

So cheers to that.
‐ Whoo!

Let's go!-

But also, I wanna find love.
Do you?

- Yes.
- Okay.

Well, if this is what's coming,
I can't wait.

So if you're ready
to start the journey...

- Cheers me.
- Cheers.

‐ Cheers.
Oh, gosh, look at this.

‐ Cheers.
‐ Cheers.

‐ Tayshia's just amazing‐‐

it's just her presence
and her energy.

Like, as soon as she walked
in the room,

she was just so confident
and happy,

but I need to learn
more about her.

Hello.-

‐ So my name's Ivan,
by the way‐‐

if you didn't catch it earlier.
‐ Ivan.

Okay, I'm Tayshia.
‐ Yeah, yeah.

Nice to meet you, Tayshia.
‐ Nice to meet you.

I have to say, you look good.
‐ Thank you.

No, you look
absolutely stunning.

‐ Oh, thank you.
‐ Yeah, yeah.

‐ Honestly, looking around,

you guys are all incredible.

I don't even know where to
begin, to be honest with you.

‐ Yeah.
‐ So‐‐well, you were here

for Clare, essentially,
in the beginning.

‐ Yeah, mm‐hmm.
‐ So were you just open

to the idea just to see
what was out there?

‐ Yeah, exactly.
Like‐‐like for myself,

um, love, like, it can come
in any sh‐‐from anywhere.

Right?
‐ Absolutely.

‐ Um, doesn't matter race, age,

or anything like that, so, like,

I came in with a open heart,
open mind.

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ But, like, just going through

that process and, you know,
her finding, you know,

quick connections with
other people, I was just, like,

trending downward,
and, honestly, I felt like

I was about to go home soon
and whatnot.

So, like, having you here,

you are definitely
more my speed.

‐ ‐ You look gorgeous.

I'm so excited to be here,
and, uh... I'm somebody

who's, like, really open
and authentic and genuine,

and I'm gonna give this 100%,
for sure.

‐ I love that.

‐ I am really interested
to find out

who she is, where she comes from

'cause you can't deny,
you know, the beauty.

You can't deny the energy
that she gives off.

‐ Yep.
‐ When Tayshia walked

in the room,
it was so unexpected.

‐ You look good.
‐ Ah, you look better.

‐ Thank you!

‐ I just really want her,
you know,

to get to know me,
and I hope, you know,

we can build a connection.

Where you from?
‐ I'm from Orange County.

‐ Orange County, California?
‐ Yes.

‐ Oh, okay.
‐ Where are you from?

‐ Me?
I'm originally from Detroit...

‐ Wow.
‐ And I now live

in New York City.

‐ Interesting!
‐ Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Um, what do you do?

‐ Well, um, I travel quite a bit

for work and for pleasure.
‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ Um, but I'm‐‐‐
‐ Sounds like fun.

‐ I mean, how could you hate it?

‐ Yeah, I know, right?
‐ You can't hate it.

Um, but I'm, like, more so

in the beauty
and lifestyle space.

‐ All right.
Cool, cool, cool.

‐ What about you?
‐ Me?

I am a medical malpractice
defense attorney

in New York City.

‐ Wow!
‐ Um, yeah.

I do that with some, um,
you know,

personal injury stuff,
and then I have a small,

like, sports practice.

Keeps me busy, to say the least.

‐ I mean, I would assume so.
‐ Yeah, yeah, yeah.

But, um, luckily for me,
they let me take a break

to come out here
to meet you, of course.

‐ I was on the fence
about whether or not

I wanted to stay or if I wanted
to take my chances

just going home
and trying to find something

on my own, where I have
a little bit more control,

but this process
has been proven to work,

and I'm happy I made
the decision to stay.

I was not expecting Tayshia
to‐‐to walk through the door.

This is so crazy.

I have so many questions
for Tayshia

'cause I don't know
anything about her.

Can't wait to actually
chat with her a little bit

and get to know her.

In the theme of honesty,

I‐‐I really wasn't
even sure if I was gonna stay,

to be honest.
‐ Really?

‐ I was‐‐I was really
on the fence about it,

but, like, you came in...
‐ Aww.

‐ With your smile
and your, like, big‐ass eyes

that are, like, the most
beautiful thing I've ever seen.

‐ Oh, thank you.
‐ It's just...

It's a different level
of excitement

that brings me back, you know?

‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ I like her
way more than Clare already.

‐ ‐ Like, I‐‐I could

say that honestly already.
‐ Yeah.

‐ I'm way more attracted to her.

‐ You might have
way more in common.

You vibe well and...
‐ For sure.

‐ You know, she's closer
to your age too.

‐ This gave me new life, man,
and I just feel like it's‐‐

like, I really‐‐
‐ You can see it

in everybody too.
‐ Dude, it's crazy.

‐ Oh, my God, I was w‐‐I feel
like I went through

the wringer the first, like,
eight, nine days.

‐ Oh, my gosh.
‐ Yeah.

‐ Wait, what happened?
‐ Well, it was just a lot.

‐ Was it?
‐ I think I came in

with a lot of expectation
because I had the buildup

of, like, the four months
of thinking about who it was

and who I was gonna meet.
‐ Yeah.

‐ But I think coming into this,
it was so much better

coming with no expectation,
and so I'm just‐‐

it's gonna take a little bit,
so be patient with me.

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ But I promise

if you‐‐if you are, like,
the real me will start to,

like, come through,
and I'll be more fun and...

you know what I mean?

I'm very relieved.

This just feels
so much more real

in just one interaction
with Tayshia

than it was in
four interactions with Clare.

‐ What has your experience
been like so far?

‐ It's a been a‐‐it's been a‐‐
to be honest,

it's been
an emotional roller coaster.

‐ Has it?
‐ You know, full transparency,

like, I‐‐I did‐‐
I had feelings for Clare.

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ And, you know, I trusted her.

I let my walls down
a little bit,

and, you know, to have that
kind of taken underneath me

was kind of‐‐it's hard.
And I still do have feelings,

um, so it's‐‐it's tough.

To completely‐‐
be completely honest,

it was, like,
around 3:00 today

where I thought I was
still gonna go home

'cause I just still didn't know
exactly if I was ready

to, like, just flip on
a new switch.

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ But I know

that I'm still here
for the right reasons.

I'm here to find what exactly‐‐
what I'm looking for

and‐‐and give that, you know,

that love that I know
I can have.

There are feelings
still there for Clare,

but this excites me.

Tayshia excites me.

She's gorgeous.
She's beautiful.

She's giving everybody
the chance that we all deserve.

‐ How you feeling?
‐ I'm feeling good.

How are you?
‐ Good, I'm feeling great.

Yeah.
‐ I mean, you have to love‐‐

I mean, you look great.
‐ I mean, jeez, I'm‐‐

‐ But‐‐ ‐ I'm the weirdo in

the turtleneck.
You're like,

"Who is this guy?"
‐ No!

I‐‐I‐‐personally, I love it.
‐ Thank you, thank you.

‐ You got style.
‐ Thank you, yeah.

I got called, uh, Steve Jobs
already.

‐ Oh, my g‐‐they're jealous.
‐ Or‐‐yeah, they're jealous.

They're jealous.
‐ Let 'em hate.

‐ How‐‐how are you, uh,

with this whole
new, crazy process?

‐ You guys are taking me
by storm.

I was not expecting all of this.

‐ Yeah.
‐ I was nervous,

but I'm loving this.
‐ Right.

‐ How has it been for you?
‐ It's been good.

It's been good.
It's, um‐‐haven't had, uh,

a super deep connection
thus far.

So just getting
this second chance

within this experience
is amazing,

and, um, you know...
‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ Just seeing you walk in,
uh, and just being in awe

is, uh‐‐is everything I could
have asked for and even more.

‐ Good!
‐ So‐‐yeah, yeah.

‐ Honestly, I'm stoked about it.

Hi!
‐ Hey.

‐ There he is.
‐ How you doing?

‐ I'm doing amazing.
How are you?

‐ Sorry to interrupt your time,

but, uh, I need to borrow you
for a second.

‐ All right.
Sorry about that.

‐ That's all right.
That's all right.

‐ I'll see you later.
‐ Chris is more important.

Absolutely.
‐ Good seeing you.

‐ Good to meet you.
‐ Bye, good meeting you.

Hello.
‐ Hey.

How you doing?
‐ I'm good.

‐ What a night.

‐ Hold‐‐hold on, hold on,
hold on.

‐ Well, I know
you're having a great night,

but I do have to tell you
everything is about to change.

‐ What is this nonsense, man?

‐ Well, let's see what we got‐‐
what we got.

‐ ‐ So you know how

you just met 16 guys?

‐ Yes.

‐ Well, did you really think
that that...

Was the only group of guys
you were gonna meet tonight?

‐ Oh, my gosh.

You're kidding!

‐ There's another limo
full of men

pulling up right now.

‐ Oh, my word.

‐ We got a limo.
‐ You're kidding me, dude.

‐ Don't do this right now, man.

‐ So, Tayshia,
let your journey continue.

‐ Okay, thank you.

‐ Enjoy.

‐ We can't just, like...
‐ Couldn't be that easy.

‐ Be smooth sailing
for one second.

‐ No.

‐ Is there more than one?

Do you see any other bodies
in there?

Tayshia!-

‐ We got a‐‐we got a whole‐ass
limo out there.

‐ Stop, stop, stop, stop,
stop, stop.

‐ Swear to God.
‐ Don't do this.

‐ Are you serious, bro?
‐ Swear to God.

Big‐‐big‐ass limo

looking like it's full of men,

but I haven't‐‐didn't see
anything yet.

‐ This is ‐ Wow.

You don't know
what to expect again.

You don't know who's walking
through the door,

and it's not fun for anybody,
regardless.

‐ Starting over again
is, um‐‐it's not easy, man.

‐ A limousine pulls up
full of new guys.

That's a bit of a curveball,

but they're gonna have
to come in with their A game.

‐ Hi!
‐ Hey, how are you?

‐ I'm good.
How are you?

‐ Spencer.
‐ Tayshia.

‐ Nice to meet ya.
‐ Nice to meet you.

‐ Look at you.
You look amazing.

‐ Oh, thank you so much!

‐ Well, I just wanna
let you know

that this is a very pleasant
surprise that you're here.

I know it's very unexpected,

but I've heard
great things about you.

‐ Well, thank you.
‐ Super excited

to get to know you, and I guess
I'll see you inside.

‐ Sounds good!

He is hot‐‐ like, hot, hot, hot.

‐ Who is this guy?
Is that Brandon?

‐ Hello, hope you guys are
ready for a few more.

‐ What's up?
‐ Spencer.

‐ Nice to meet you.
‐ Nice to meet you.

‐ Welcome.
‐ Thanks, guys.

‐ Welcome, welcome, welcome.

‐ So which one of you guys
scared away Clare?

‐ The‐‐the person
you're looking for is not here.

‐ Jeez.

‐ If had a first impression,

I'd give out to Spencer.

‐ How many of there
were you guys?

‐ You'll see.
‐ Okay.

Well, all right.
We'll see.

‐ Oh!

‐ Hi!
‐ How are you?

‐ I'm doing great.
How are you?

‐ I'm good.
‐ Good.

‐ How you feeling?
It's nice to meet you.

‐ Oh, it's so nice to meet you!

‐ So I'm Montel.
It's nice to meet you.

‐ Nice to meet you as well.
‐ Uh, the little bit

that I've heard about you‐‐

I'm just so excited to get

to spend time with you,
but it was

super nice meeting you.
‐ Okay, sounds good.

‐ All right.
‐ So nice meeting you.

‐ I'll see you inside.
‐ Okay.

That's great.
‐ All right.

‐ That's a bit up
that some of these guys

are getting intros before
we haven't even met her yet.

‐ Yeah.

Look at that smile.-

‐ Wow.
I could see it from inside.

‐ Is that right?
‐ Yes.

‐ Well, thank you.
‐ How you doing?

I'm Peter.
‐ I'm Tayshia.

‐ Nice to meet you.
‐ I really couldn't have

dreamt of a better night one.

I'm really lucky.

‐ Whew!
You are beautiful!

‐ Well, I'm not worried
about him.

‐ Yeah.
‐ I mean, you wanna

be nice to them, but, like,

who the are these guys?

‐ How you doing?
I'm Noah.

‐ I'm Tayshia.

‐ Nice to meet you.
‐ So nice to meet you.

These guys are so handsome.

Like, I could get used to this,
you know?

‐ You know where my heart is
from the start.

‐ Oh, my goodness.

It's‐‐it's b*ating,
and it's b*ating quite fast.

What more could a girl ask for?

Not much.

‐ Good to meet you.
‐ Good to meet you too.

I'll see you inside.
‐ Sounds good.

‐ It's been a good night.

I couldn't be happier.

Uh...
‐ I just wanted one more look

before I go in.-

I can't with this guy!

Oh, God, he's gonna be trouble.
I already know it.

‐ What's up, man?
I'm Zac.

‐ How's it going?
Noah.

‐ Nice to meet you, Noah.
‐ Nice to meet you.

‐ Hey.
‐ We all look good!

‐ 'Sup, Noah?
‐ Jeez!

- ‐ I'm Ben.
- ‐ Four more

walked in the door.

Are they actually here
to, like, meet her?

I‐‐I can't tell
'cause the one dude

seems like he's just here
to be an.

‐ It's definitely
an interesting dynamic

given how y'all know each other,

and we're just, like,
four dudes showing up.

‐ There was a‐‐a stanky‐ass
energy in the room

because there's a sense
of pride amongst these 16 guys.

All that's promised here is
an opportunity to find love.

Outside of that...
all bets are off.

‐ May the best man win.

‐ Yep.
‐ Yes, sir.

‐ Here we go.

‐ Oh, she's coming in.
‐ Uh‐oh.

‐ Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
‐ Oh, there she is.

- ‐ What's up?
- Hey!

‐ Hi, hi!
‐ Hey.

‐ Lovely to see all of you here.

Hi!

Well, we kind of shook it up
a little bit.

I'm so excited
there's new faces in here.

There's still a lot of people
I need to get to know,

but the night is, honestly,
blowing me away.

I did not expect any of this,
so keep it coming.

Let's keep going.

Is that okay?
‐ Let's have a good time.

‐ Yeah?
‐ Let's get started.

‐ Hi.

Hello.

Wait.
‐ Hold on now.

‐ I'll be back.
‐ Oh, wow.

‐ Oh, Spencer.

‐ It's honestly

because this random kid
shows up,

and he's literally
been in the house

for three minutes
and has the nerve

to‐‐to cut in front of the guys

that haven't spoken with her
tonight,

that have been
waiting patiently.

I'm pissed.

‐ Well, I hope you're half
as nervous as I am.

‐ Don't be nervous.
Why are you nervous?

‐ This is wild.
This has been so wild.

‐ Okay, so where are you from?
You said San Diego?

‐ San Diego.
‐ You live San Diego?

‐ Yes.
‐ Or you're from San Diego?

‐ Well, I moved there
when I was 12, so it's home.

‐ Okay.
‐ Yeah.

I'm 30, by the way.
‐ Okay.

‐ How old are you?
‐ I'm 29.

‐ Okay, perfect.
‐ It's good.

‐ Yeah.
‐ We're good; we're doing good.

Okay.
‐ Yeah, okay.

Um... big beach guy.

‐ You are?
‐ Love surfing.

‐ Okay.
‐ Yeah, all that jazz.

‐ I don't know how to,
but, like...

‐ We could work on that.
‐ Okay.

‐ Yeah.
‐ Are you a good teacher?

‐ Yeah.
‐ Or are you just gonna,

like, throw me in?

‐ We'll see, we'll see.
‐ Oh, God!

‐ Maybe s‐‐maybe a little bit
of entertainment there.

But we'll see, yeah.
‐ Oh, no.

Okay, I can have fun.
‐ Yeah.

‐ It's fine.
I just don't wanna drown.

‐ You'll be all right.
‐ Okay, okay.

‐ I'll save you.
Yeah.

‐ Spencer‐‐he's really nice,

he's super sweet, and he's cute.

He's definitely a guy
I would go after.

‐ I'm kind of how you are.
‐ I'm itching to get in there.

‐ Yes, exactly how you are.

I can't relax, like,

for the rest of the night
until I do.

‐ At this moment,
the only thing I know

about Tayshia is,
she commands a room

when she walks in.

She's got this vibrant energy

that just is captivating.

But, like, by adding, you know,

even just a couple extra guys,
it's like,

I'm concerned that I won't get
an opportunity

to speak with her and, like,
make an impression on her.

‐ Chris.
‐ Fellas.

‐ How we doing?
‐ Oh!

‐ Here we go.
‐ I'm good.

‐ That's when it gets real.
‐ Okay.

‐ Here we go.
‐ I think you guys

know what this is about by now.

‐ All right.
‐ My dawg.

‐ Let's go.

‐ See you boys in a little bit.
‐ All right.

‐ I'll see you.

‐ This is the most excited
I've been

since I've been here.

Getting the First
Impression Rose would mean

everything to me at this point.

First Impression Rose,
I really want that tonight

'cause I'm‐‐I'm gonna be here
for the long haul.

I really feel that way.

‐ That's the goal,

to‐‐s‐‐to get the rose
and keep moving forward.

‐ Clare gave her
First Impression Rose to Dale,

and now they're, you know,
off on their honeymoon.

Clearly,
the First Impression Rose

does go, you know, a long way.

‐ I think
the First Impression Rose

reminds us all
that everyone's time here

is something that we earn.

I need a rose tonight
to stick around,

to have a group date,
to have an individual date.

This is life and death.
This is the rose.

This is the opportunity
to get to know her.

‐ Let's go!

‐ There's three new guys.
It's just us versus them.

They are basically no rules.

‐ Oh!
‐ Oh, my God!

That's a lot of blood!

‐ I'm staying positive.

Whether it's that rose
or one during the ceremony,

that's‐‐that's really
my primary focus

for the rest of the evening,
and nothing would

make me happier at this point.

Tayshia is gorgeous,

but I also need
to get to know her.

So I'm hoping I get a rose,

whether it's
a First Impression Rose

or a rose during
the Rose Ceremony.

I'm focused on finding love,

and I'm ready and willing
to explore that with Tayshia.

‐ Don't mind me
with the little glass of water.

‐ You had me at,
uh‐‐you had me at

the, uh, "b*mb‐ass summer"
and that little shake.

‐ Oh, is that right?
‐ Yeah, that was‐‐

‐ You like that?
‐ Yeah, that was a‐‐

that was a good start.
That was a good start.

I'll take it.
‐ Well, yeah.

I feel like this is, like,
all very serious,

and we're looking
for something serious,

but also, you have to have
a little fun.

‐ No, I agree.
It's like,

I didn't know, like, anything
about any of this stuff.

‐ I love that.
‐ And I just, like,

showed up here,
and, like, I've felt like

I'm supposed to be here
since day one.

‐ Really?
‐ Yeah.

So just the fact
that you're here now,

and it's, like, this huge
breath of fresh air,

and it's, like, this new energy,

we're all pump‐‐
we're all pumped.

I'm pumped.
So...

‐ Well, I love to hear that.
‐ Yeah.

New beginning.
‐ Okay.

‐ New beginning.
I have one too.

You know the deal;
throw it over your shoulder.

‐ Throw it over‐‐okay.
We're making a wish,

and we're not saying it
out loud.

‐ Absolutely.
So here's the deal.

We make the wish...
‐ Okay.

‐ We see what happens here...
‐ Okay.

‐ And then someday,
we get to tell each other

what the wish was.
‐ I'm in.

Okay.
‐ All right?

‐ Promise?
‐ Yes.

‐ Okay.
‐ You gotta...

‐ Oh.
‐ Come on.

‐ Okay, I'm ready.
‐ Come on, ready?

Three, two, one.

‐ Wait.
I loved that.

Okay, I really hope
it comes true.

Where'd it go?

‐ Yeah, usually these things
are, like, littered

with quarters everywhere, but...

‐ Maybe that means
ours are special.

‐ Fresh wishes.
‐ Zac and Tayshia.

‐ I like that.
I like the sound of that.

‐ Zac's interesting.

I don't know if it's his accent.

I don't really know.
He just seems intriguing.

I mean, I think I'm off
to a great start.

‐ Loosen up.
‐ Do you wanna know a fun fact?

‐ Okay, let's hear it.

‐ I played cornhole
my night one.

‐ Really?
‐ Yes!

‐ No way.
‐ In‐‐in a really‐‐well, yeah.

‐ I had no‐‐I‐‐
‐ It really helped.

‐ Honestly, I had no idea.

‐ I feel like this is, like,

a really good group of guys.

This is a field day.

I'm having the best time
of my life.

‐ You have no idea
how long I've waited

for just this moment,
so I'm happy for it.

‐ Well, guess what.
‐ Yeah.

‐ We'll‐‐we're just getting
started,

so don't stress about it.
‐ I love that.

I love that.
I love that.

Can't wait for more moments
like these.

‐ They're all so welcoming,

and I feel like
they want to tell their story.

They want to talk and open up.

‐ I have 11 kids in my family,
so 10 brothers and sisters.

‐ Hold on.
Wait.

What?

‐ Yeah.
‐ There's 11 of you?

‐ Yeah, there's 11.
I actually have a twin too.

It's me and my twin.
‐ Wait, what?

Okay, there's so much going on.
Wait, I love it.

‐ Casually.
‐ Okay.

‐ So‐‐
‐ You have a twin brother.

‐ I have a twin brother.

‐ One by one by one,

it's just, like,
such good conversation.

‐ I book bands at a music venue.

‐ Okay, so you're, like,
into the whole band thing,

music thing.
‐ Yeah, yeah, yeah.

‐ So usually, you're probably
not wearing a suit.

‐ I never wear a suit.

I had‐‐I had to buy this
to come here.

‐ Well, you look good in a suit.

Is that‐‐

Well, you look good.
Great investment.

‐ Oh, thank you.
Thank you.

‐ Yeah.
‐ So do you; so do you.

‐ Thank you very much.
‐ Yeah.

‐ Everyone that I meet,

I wanna get to know more,
and I truly

don't know what I'm gonna do.

‐ You've probably been up
all day, but...

‐ Yeah.
‐ Do you wanna do

a little dance?
‐ Oh, my God.

I'd love to!
‐ All right, so I just‐‐

‐ Are we gonna dance right here?

‐ We'll just go‐‐yeah, like,
a little back and forth.

‐ Oh, this is cu‐‐
‐ There's no music,

but we're just close.

‐ Can we make our own?
‐ We can.

And I'm supposed to twirl you,

and then somehow dip you.
‐ Oh.

‐ So you go out.
‐ Mm.

‐ And then you come back
towards me.

‐ Okay.
‐ Now you give me your hand.

‐ Okay.
‐ And you go back.

‐ Okay.
‐ And then I bring you

back up.
‐ Whee!

That was good!
‐ I've never done it before.

‐ You‐‐never?
‐ Swear.

‐ I am having
truly the best night one

I think I could have
ever dreamt for.

Hey, hey, hey.

‐ Whoa!
‐ How are ya?

‐ What's up?
‐ Oh... not much.

The guys are incredible,

but I feel like one guy
stood out a little bit more

amongst all of the men tonight.

I would like to take Spencer
really quickly.

‐ Of course.
‐ Wanna chat?

‐ Of course.
‐ Okay.

‐ All right.
‐ Oh.

‐ Hey, Spence, what the?

‐ I don't know.
‐ Uh‐uh.

‐ So I will say,
the second you got‐‐

got out of the limo, my heart
did kind of skip a b*at.

So...
‐ I'll take it.

I'll take whatever I can get.-

You're a person
I wanna keep around,

and I‐‐I'm really interested
to get to know.

So, Spencer,
will you accept this rose?

‐ Absolutely.
‐ Okay, good.

I think it actually goes...

Okay.
‐ Got it?

‐ It looks good.

First impression of Spencer...

Is he's so attractive.

He took me by surprise
because, honestly,

like, that's just how I felt
the second I saw him.

I think he's the first person
that I kind of was like,

"Oh, my gosh."

Yeah, I want to get to know him.

‐ Spencer.
‐ Congratulations, Spencer.

‐ Oh!
‐ Thank you.

‐ Spencer came in, new guy,

got the First Impression Rose,

and now, there's
a Rose Ceremony tonight.

People are going home.

‐ I'm not ready to go home.

Having a fresh start
to not even getting a start,

like, it would just be‐‐
oh, it'd be awful.

‐ I guess, first off,
I'd like to say thank you,

just because
I didn't know really

what to expect coming in here.

But I will say that you guys

welcomed me with open arms,
and I couldn't have asked

for a better night one,
and I'm really excited

for what I have in front of me.

I feel like the love of my life
is definitely in this room.

And I believe this is generally
where the Rose Ceremony starts.

‐ Correct.

‐ So...

I'd like to cancel
the Rose Ceremony...

and continue
all of our journeys.

‐ Love it.
‐ Hell yeah.

‐ Yeah.
‐ I think that sounds

like a good idea.
Yeah?

‐ Whoo!
‐ Sounds great.

‐ Sounds good.
‐ Okay, good.

‐ Enjoy the rest of the night.

‐ All right, see ya.

Okay, so it's just us now.
‐ Hey.

‐ All right.

‐ I didn't know what to expect

coming into tonight.

I was so scared that the guys

wouldn't be so open,
and I didn't know

if they had a lot
of invested feelings for Clare.

So I'd like to toast
to all of you

for opening up your hearts
once again,

really putting yourselves
out there

'cause I am here to accept
every single one of you.

I actually really do feel like

my husband could be
in that room,

so I'm excited.

It's a phenomenal start.

Like, again,
I don't even know why

I was ever nervous.

Cheers to love.

- Cheers.
- Cheers to us.

Tayshia!

‐ Hey!
‐ Oh, my!

‐ We went through a lot
with Clare,

but with Tayshia,
it's‐‐it's a new day.

‐ The most shocking season
of "The Bachelorette"

is just beginning.

‐ It got hot real quick.
I need to calm down, actually,

'cause I'm so excited.

‐ I'm coming here

with the purest of intentions,

and I just want you guys
to be real.

Come on, Ben!
I got married and divorced

at a really young age,
and I feel like

this is my time
to really dive in deep

and find my life partner.

Taxi!
‐ Yeah!

‐ ‐ I'm 100% convinced

that Tayshia could be my wife.

‐ Tayshia's my dream girl,

and I could see myself
falling in love with her.

‐ Tayshia.
‐ Yes?

‐ I am falling in love with you.

‐ ‐ We're both biracial,

and, you know, we have this

beautiful love story developing.

‐ Look at that.

‐ I definitely feel like
my husband's here.

I am so genuinely happy.

I'm trying to think
of something wrong,

and there's nothing wrong.

I can't do it anymore.

I just can't.

‐ It's not always easy to see
a wolf in sheep's clothing.

‐ He hasn't once said anything
that differentiated

his feelings from Clare
and Tayshia.

‐ Oh, my God.

‐ It's not easy
to see her upset.

‐ It's so unfair to Tayshia.

‐ She is probably, in her head,

trying to figure out who is.

‐ It's only a matter of time
before she realizes the truth.

‐ I'm truly giving it a chance,

and it's more
than what I've ever

opened up myself to,

but, also, I have
to follow my heart.

I definitely have been
falling for you.

‐ Why him?
There's something wrong

with this guy.

As your father,

it's my job to protect you
from making

possibly the biggest mistake
of your life.

This journey has been
such a whirlwind of emotions.

The fear of divorce will, like,
forever stay with me,

and I never wanna experience
that heartache

that I experienced
in my last marriage.

It's just, like, a lot.

It's, like, a lot.

I'm really trying.

Oh, my God.

Like, I'm really trying.

‐ Hello, Bachelor Nation.
I know.

This is unexpected.

Tayshia, our new Bachelorette,

just started her journey
to find love.

You should be watching
Tayshia's first dates

as her love story begins,
but we can't do that right now

because there's something
that needs to be addressed.

We need to talk about
what was one

of the most dramatic
turn of events

in "Bachelorette" history.

It's what has
all of Bachelor Nation,

all of social media, and every
talk show on fire right now.

After only two weeks of dating,

our Bachelorette Clare
made the dramatic decision

to break up with all of her men
in order to pursue

a relationship with one man
and one man only: Dale.

Clare followed her heart,
and ultimately

it was the right decision.

She and Dale are in love
and happily engaged,

but how they arrived there
in two short weeks

has left Bachelor Nation
with many unanswered questions.

Is Clare and Dale's love story
too good to be true?

Was this really a documented
case of love at first sight?

Or, as many
in Bachelor Nation believe,

did Clare and Dale have contact
before the show started?

Did they communicate in any way
at all with each other

before Dale stepped out
of the limo that first night?

Well, we're gonna get answers

to all of these questions
tonight,

when Clare and Dale join me
on this stage,

and we're gonna start
with Clare.

Clare, come on out and join me.

Hello.
‐ Hello!

‐ It's good to see you again.

‐ So good to see you.
‐ I feel like

it's been forever.
Have a seat.

‐ I know, right?

‐ How's it going?
‐ So good.

So good.
‐ Last time I saw you‐‐yes‐‐

you were just getting engaged.

Is this the ring?
‐ This is the ring.

‐ Let me see.
Damn!

‐ Is it not amazing?

‐ How many channels
does that get?

‐ Right?

Enough.

‐ Wow.
Look at the smile on your face.

It's good to see.
‐ Thank you so much.

‐ Uh, how's everything going
with Dale?

‐ It's just been
a dream come true.

Every time I wake up,
my mind almost reverts

to old patterns of, like,
"What did I do

to deserve this‐‐this man?"
‐ Yeah.

‐ And I look over,
and he's like, "I love you."

And I then change my thoughts
to, like,

"I waited my lifetime
for this."

‐ Yeah.
Um, let's go back

to the very first night.
‐ Uh‐huh.

‐ What was that moment like

when he stepped out
of the limo‐‐

the first sight you got?

‐ It just felt like everything
else in the world disappeared.

Everything went dark around us.
It was just him and I.

That's what it felt like to me.

‐ Was it love at first sight?
‐ Absolutely.

I felt like on some planet,
somewhere else, like,

we've just known each other.
‐ Yeah.

‐ And I can't put words to that.

I still can't, and it's crazy
because I think

even though I had a really
strong connection with Dale...

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ It doesn't negate the fact

that these guys were putting
everything into it.

And there was a connection
with them as well,

but I just kept
catching myself going:

"But when do I
get to talk to Dale?"

You know?
And I kept thinking about him

and our conversation
in the back of my brain...

‐ Yeah.
‐ And that feeling

that I got from him was like,

"Wow," you know?

‐ Let's go to that day‐‐
proposal day, proposal night.

‐ Yeah.
‐ You were so nervous.

Why?

‐ I was scared
because I've never, ever

had a man show up.

In past relationships,

when things get difficult
or when it‐‐

things get challenging
or‐‐I mean,

even hard things in life,
when my mom got sick, um,

it was like, "I'm gonna let you
deal with this own your own."

‐ Right.
‐ And I've always had

that strength that I can
take care of myself,

and I've got this,
but I want a man to say:

"I'm gonna be here,
right with you

while you've got it."
‐ Yeah.

He showed up for you.
‐ Yeah, and that was

the whole point of this.

It wasn't hanging on, like,

"I need to get proposed to."

I just need to know
that he would never...

leave and never let me down
on that front.

‐ Well, it was
an unbelievable proposal.

Should we bring him out?
‐ Yes.

‐ All right, let's reunite
this happy couple.

Ladies and gentlemen, Dale.

Hello!-

‐ I gotta give...
‐ Yes, first the lady.

‐ Does that seem familiar?

‐ You look beautiful.
‐ Mm, thank you.

‐ Hi, nice to see you again.
‐ How you doing?

Ooh!
‐ Have a seat.

‐ It's a long time coming, huh?

‐ Uh, con‐‐congratulations
again.

‐ Thank you.
‐ Can you believe

this happened?

‐ Yeah, it's a lot to,
uh‐‐to take in,

but, uh...

‐ I lived this
through Clare's perspective.

‐ Yeah.
‐ I know her feelings

when you stepped out
of the limo.

‐ Yeah.
‐ She's like,

"My husband just walked in."
‐ Hey.

Hey, yeah, I‐‐I heard.
A little birdy told me.

‐ He did.
‐ She said it.

No, she's told me.
‐ So, I mean,

did you feel the same?
‐ Yeah.

‐ Was it love at first sight?
‐ It was hands down

love at first sight.

Like, I was just taken back
by how beautiful she was.

But, like, my biggest worry
coming in was,

"What if she doesn't like me?"

- And after the moment...
- ‐

‐ That I met her,
hugged her, spoke to her,

I was like‐‐that I‐‐like,
"I'm not going anywhere."

‐ When you found out
that Clare had ended it

with all the other men...-

‐ And it was just you...
‐ Yeah.

‐ What were you thinking?
‐ It's so weird

how we play things
in our mind before they happen.

Throughout this entire process,

Clare and I were
truly saying the same things

without even knowing it.

Like, every time in life

when I really needed somebody
the most,

like, I always felt like
I was left hanging.

‐ That sounds familiar.

‐ And at the base
of everything with her

in its truest form, like,
we love each other,

and we had that, and, like,
it was, like, undeniable.

And I was like...

"Let's do this."-

That's where this is, like,
so magical to me‐‐

is that everything
he was looking for

was everything
I was looking for,

and there's never been
anything that he has shown me

or made me feel like
that he is not gonna

not show up for me.

Like, last night‐‐last night,
I was having...

Like, he doesn't even realize
he did this for me.

But, like, last night,
the worst anxiety ever...

And you showed up

when I was pacing
around the pool with anxiety.

And he just grabbed my hand

and paced with me
around the pool.

That's all I've ever wanted‐‐
is a man to show up for me,

not only when it's easy

and not only when it's good
and fun and pretty

and ball gowns and all that,
but, like, show up

when I'm in my yoga pants
and no makeup,

and my hair is in a greasy knot.

Like, show up for me.

And he's done that
every single time.

Like, you've done that
every single day for me.

‐ Yeah, and‐‐and you've done
the exact same for me.

‐ You have been searching
for so many years‐‐

not just the seven
I've known you, but...

‐ Yeah.
‐ As you said,

your whole adult life‐‐
to find something

so amazing, so lovely.

‐ Yeah.

I just‐‐I know...

Without a shadow of a doubt...

this is everything that my dad
has ever wanted for me.

The only thing he ever wanted
and asked for

in his dying words was
to make sure that I'd be okay.

‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ And I've made sure
that I'm okay this far,

but now I have this man
to be there alongside of me,

to ensure
that even if I am not okay,

he's there to back me up,

to make sure that I'm okay.

And that's all my dad
ever wanted for me.

I know he's proud
and would be so...

Over the moon for this.

‐ You made him proud,

and you found a man
that's gonna show up for you.

‐ Yeah.

‐ And I am so happy for you two,

but you guys know
there's skepticism out there.

‐ Oh, yeah.
‐ Yeah.

‐ Bachelor Nation has questions.

‐ Yeah.

‐ They wanna know if you guys

communicated before, met before.

How could this
have happened so fast?

Are you guys finally ready
to answer those questions?

‐ Oh, yeah.
‐ Bring it on.

‐ Yeah.
‐ All right.

‐ Yes ‐ We're gonna bring it on

when we come back.

‐ Welcome back.

I am here with our newly
engaged Bachelorette, Clare,

and her fiancé, Dale.
‐ Yeah.

‐ First of all,
it's good to see you guys

so happy,
and congratulations again.

But let's talk about this.

There are those
in Bachelor Nation

that just don't believe
that this is possible,

that it happened like this,

that it was love at first sight.

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ What does it feel like

to have people question you

and question this relationship?

‐ I think I'd be lying
if I said it... didn't hurt me

because here is something
that I finally found

that makes me
so incredibly happy,

like, to my core, to finally
feel this type of love

that I have been craving
and wanting.

Like, I just wish people

can be happy for us.

‐ I'm gonna ask you guys
once and for all,

did you guys communicate,

talk, meet, text‐‐anything‐‐

before that first night?

Did you lie
to all of Bachelor Nation?

‐ 100% no,

and I can wholeheartedly
attest to this

on my dad's grave.

There was never, ever
a single ounce

of contact, communication
through friends,

through outlets,
through phone numbers,

through any sort of source
of anything.

‐ Yeah.
‐ And I think that, to me,

is, honestly, one of the most
beautiful things.

‐ Clare and I never once spoke,
never communicated,

never talked, never texted.

‐ It was after we got engaged
that he was like,

"Can I have your number?"

Like, "Yeah, you can have
my number."

‐ I didn't‐‐and I didn't
get her number‐‐yes.

It was, like, uh‐‐we‐‐it was

before I was gonna
finally go home.

‐ Yeah.
‐ It's unprecedented.

It's never happened
in the history of the show.

We've had amazing love stories.
‐ Yeah.

‐ Never actually
two weeks later,

"Shut it down.
We're engaged."

‐ That's the thing, though.
‐ And‐‐

‐ That's the thing that people

aren't understanding
and putting into play‐‐

is that...
‐ Yeah.

‐ This has never happened
in the past

because this whole season
has never happened in the past.

‐ These are extraordinary times.

‐ Yeah.
‐ Yeah.

‐ We've never had a pandemic

in the past before.

‐ That's part of this.

For four months,
we all waited...

‐ Yeah.
‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ And anticipated starting,
and, yes,

you were on social media,
and you had that access

to each other...
‐ Yeah.

‐ And we usually
don't have that.

‐ I followed a lot of the guys
on the down low

to see how they spent their time

and what they were doing,
and Dale was the one

that was being a strong man

but opening up
and being vulnerable.

And I think people
need to think about that

when they're thinking, like,
"Two weeks?"

Yeah, I understand that.

It was fast‐paced,
but this is the first time

a 39‐year‐old woman
has sat up here

and been chosen
to find the man of her dreams

out of this many men, and I know

exactly what I'm looking for
and exactly what I want.

I've done nothing but respect
this entire process,

and I cannot
reiterate that enough.

‐ Well, you blew it up
a little bit, but‐‐

‐ I respected it

and things happen,
but I've never not

not appreciated this
and not put my whole heart

and everything I believe in
into this.

Like, I'm so happy.

Like, how he makes me feel
is literally, like,

sunbeams out of my heart, like,
into the world,

and I know
that sounds so stupid,

but I just feel it to my core.

And whether it took one day
or ten days

or two weeks or two years,
like, this man makes me happy.

‐ You love this man.
‐ Yeah, absolutely,

and I tell him that
over and over

and over and over again.
‐ She says it a lot.

‐ I tell him
I'm so obsessed with him.

‐ The‐‐the feeling is mutual,
and I, you know‐‐again,

coming into this,
you think, like,

"Is this possible?"
Like, it is, but there's more

at work than I could
ever explain.

‐ Yeah.
‐ And I love her

with every ounce of my being,

and the most exciting thing
is what we have coming up.

‐ What is next for you guys‐‐
moving in together, wedding?

What's up?
‐ I think, like, you know,

obviously‐‐ ‐ Babies!

‐ Uh... really, like, we've‐‐

we've talked a little bit‐‐
‐ Dale, you just‐‐

you just skipped right over
that.

- "Um..."
- Yeah, yeah, babies.

‐ You just skipped right
over that.

‐ No‐‐ ‐ Are we‐‐are we having

babies first, or are we gonna

get married first?
‐ Well, whatever!

‐ Yeah, we're gonna
get married first.

‐ Whatever happens.
‐ Uh...

‐ We're just happy to, like,

start our lives together...
‐ Yeah.

‐ And to get to know each other
more and more and more.

‐ Well, I now
pronounce you engaged.

‐ Hey, hey.
‐ You may kiss your fiancée.

‐ Ah!
‐ Ooh!

I love you.
‐ Me too.

‐ Mm.

Oh, God.-

‐ Hello!
‐ So happy for you guys.

We have an amazing love story
here,

and we might have another
amazing love story building

as Tayshia's met the men.

Her dates are about to begin.

Could we, for the first time
in the history of this show,

have two engagements on one
season of "The Bachelorette"?

‐ If she found what I got,
I am thrilled for her.

‐ Hey, it's 2020;
anything can happen.

Congratulations, guys,
wish you all the best.

And when we come back,
we will dive back

into Tayshia's journey
to find what Clare found.

We'll be right back.

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ Doin' it, doin' it.

‐ One of the most beautiful
human beings

emerges from the pool.
‐ Oh, hey, guys.

‐ This is for time with Tayshia.

There are basically no rules.

‐ Oh!
‐ The loser goes home.

‐ Last night was so much fun.

I just feel like
the guys were so welcoming,

so sweet,
ready to get to know me.

And then this morning,

I was starting to get
a little bit in my head

about me being
the new Bachelorette.

I do have a little sense of fear

that these guys can still be
a little bit hung up on Clare,

but I feel like it's really
easy to get overwhelmed.

So I'm just gonna, like,
go on a date today,

and we'll see how it goes.

‐ Last night, we invited
some‐‐some new brothers

to the party, I guess.
‐ "Invited."

‐ "Invited" ‐‐I don't
if we invited you all.

‐ We crashed it.
We crashed it.

Y'all came anyway.-

‐ We went from 16 guys
to 20 guys,

and not only that, we have
a whole new Bachelorette.

So everything
you thought you knew

is out the window, all right?

‐ I'm excited about Tayshia.

I want that rose,
and I want the opportunity

to get to know her better.

‐ Chris!
‐ Hey!

‐ Yeah.
‐ My boy.

‐ Y'all come on over.
‐ Ha‐ha!

There he is!

‐ How's everybody doing
this morning?

‐ Pretty good.
‐ Feeling all right?

‐ Yeah.

‐ Tayshia arriving last night
was a fresh start,

and, uh, Bennett, you got
a smile on your face already.

‐ Yeah, of course.

She has a incredible energy

that's contagious,
and we're all feeling it.

So...
‐ She just brought, like,

new energy and gave me life,

and, um, I'm just so excited
going forward now

to‐‐to really make this happen.

‐ I'm glad you guys
got to meet Tayshia,

and I want you guys
to get to know her even more,

so we gotta get started.

This week,

everybody's getting dates.

‐ Whoo!
‐ Let's quit wasting time.

Let's get back to it.
‐ Oh!

‐ First date card is right here,

and, uh, I'll see you guys soon.

‐ Thanks, Chris.

‐ First date with Tayshia.

Honestly, I hope my name

is gonna be on‐‐
on the date card

because I'm really just
looking forward

for the opportunity
to connect with her.

‐ Blake, Riley,

Zac, Jordan...

‐ That's what
I'm talking about, baby.

‐ Noah...
‐ Yes, sir.

‐ Peter, Kenny, Jay...

- Eazy...
- ‐

‐ Spencer‐‐"Here's to
a second sh*t at love"‐‐

Tayshia.

‐ Hey.
‐ All right, boys,

ready for this date?
‐ Let's do it.

‐ Let's get it.
‐ I'm pumped.

We've been given this gift
in the form of Tayshia,

which is an amazing, beautiful,
mesmerizing woman,

and I'm ready to receive her.

‐ Oh, my goodness.

‐ Hey!
‐ Oh, my!

‐ Whoo!
‐ Okay.

‐ It got hot real quick,
and I'm not talking

about this 120‐degree heat,
if you know what I'm saying.

‐ Oh, hey, guys.
‐ Yo, she‐‐she is bangin'.

Like, it's crazy.
‐ Whew!

‐ Oh, my God.
She's perfect.

‐ Oh.

‐ Welcome to Palm Springs.

‐ Literally looks like
"Baywatch" ‐‐

a perfect "Baywatch" scene.

‐ Hello!

How are you guys feeling
this morning?

‐ Great!
‐ Great.

‐ Good?
How's the heat getting to you?

Is it‐‐is it too much?
‐ It just got hotter.

‐ It's hot?
So you wanna get in the pool.

It looks kind of good.

‐ Yes.
‐ All right.

This is what you're gonna wear?
‐ No.

‐ No, no, no.
‐ Okay, let's see

what I'm working with.
Take it off.

‐ Get it!
‐ Yes, yes, let's get it.

I was really excited
to see them today,

and they did not disappoint.

Everyone looks just as good

in their swim trunks as they did

in their suits last night,

and I'm here for it.

Flamingo!
‐ I'm good.

I'm good.

You see people chirping in
Tayshia's ear here and there.

Everybody's trying to, you know,

vie for her attention.
‐ Can you breathe?

‐ Can you swim?
Can you swim?

The que‐‐the question

I have is, can you swim?
‐ Of course.

‐ Yeah?
‐ Yeah.

‐ Pay time.
‐ Ah, no!

‐ Oh!
‐ Oh!

‐ Whoo!

‐ What's up, everybody?
Come on over!

‐ Tayshia,
she's a beautiful woman

worth fighting for
whenever the time comes‐‐100%.

‐ Well, I‐‐I‐‐I hate
to break up a good time.

I know you guys
are having a blast.

I feel like... we could
kick this up a notch.

‐ Oh, yeah.
‐ Yes, sir.

‐ Let's do it.
‐ Little competition.

‐ Turn me up.

‐ How 'bout a little
splash ball?

‐ Okay.
‐ All right.

‐ Hey.

‐ I'm gonna break you guys up

into two teams, and, of course,

you guys know what's at stake‐‐
time with Tayshia.

‐ Oh.
‐ Okay.

‐ Losing team‐‐
you're headed home.

You guys go,
head to the locker rooms...

‐ God!
‐ Get dressed.

‐ Chris Harrison said

we're gonna compete,
some kind of basketball game

in the pool.

The losing team
is gonna go home,

and the winning team's gonna get

to spend the evening
with Tayshia.

And that's why I will
do whatever to win.

‐ Here we go.
Speedos.

‐ Oh, boy.
‐ Is there names in it?

‐ Oh, no, that's a 36, though.
I ain't a 36 waist‐‐

I can tell you that.
Team uniform

is entirely too small Speedos.

‐ Ten, eleven...
‐ This is what you see up top.

I don't know what you see
down below,

but there's a lot on the line,
which is the opportunity

to spend extra time
with Tayshia.

Let's go!

‐ Hello, Bachelor Nation
and welcome back

to La Quinta, California.

What an amazing event
we have set up for today:

Tayshia's Splash Ball
Spectacular!

All right, let's get down
to the action.

Tayshia, you gonna
toss in the ball?

‐ I think I can do that.

You guys ready?

‐ Take it!

‐ I'm not gonna lie.
I don't know

which team I want to win.

Come on, Kenny!
‐ Kenny jacks it up.

‐ Come on, Jay.

Come on, boys!

Oh.

‐ Tip that in!
‐ Oh, my gosh!

‐ Oh!
‐ There we go!

‐ Five guys to win
are the five that are gonna

spend the night with Tayshia,
and the other ones

will be going home
for the night.

I know what that is all about,

on the losing end.

In dodgeball, I stripped down,

walked home naked.

It's not happening tonight.

‐ Put it up there!
‐ Nope.

‐ Oh, Jay!

‐ It's not looking good for us
at this point.

I wanna see T.
I wanna get that time.

‐ Blake rebound,
kicks it out to Kenny.

He doesn't wanna sh**t.
‐ Come on, Kenny.

Come on, Kenny!
‐ But he puts it up,

sh*t, and they are finally
on the board!

‐ One point!
‐ Green team!

‐ Kenny gets a quick sh*t.
We're all on edge.

This is for time with Tayshia.

There are basically no rules.

‐ Come on, guys.
‐ Wait a minute!

‐ What?
Hey!

‐ Spencer's not afraid
to be aggressive.

Noah jacks one up...
‐ Oh.

‐ From a distance.
Riley with the rebound.

Spencer is uber aggressive.
‐ Wait!

‐ Me and Spencer,
we're going at it.

The loser goes home,
and I'm just hoping

I don't lose to Spencer.

‐ Oh!
‐ Oh!

‐ Spencer has been cut.
‐ Oh, no!

‐ He was chirping all day.

We got after it a little bit.
His face hit my elbow.

‐ Oh!

‐ Wait.
What happened?

Oh, my God!
That's a lot of blood!

‐ Good, clean fun.
‐ Are you okay?

‐ Yeah‐‐no.
It's‐‐it's cool.

‐ Well, you're kind of intense
in there.

‐ ‐ You gotta be careful.

‐ Yeah, yeah.
‐ He milked it a little bit,

but, I mean,
that's what pretty boys do.

They gotta sit on the side
and get pampered‐‐

you know what I'm saying‐‐
for a little bit,

but that's all right.
‐ Your team is winning,

so then I get to see you
tonight.

‐ I know; I know.
‐ At the other end of it,

Spencer might have needed

a little sh*t in the mouth.

He's been a little attitude

since he got in the house,
you know?

It was fitting.

‐ Let's go!

Kenny back over to Jordan.
Jordan with the jump sh*t...

‐ Yes!
‐ And finds the bottom

of the bucket!
‐ Whoo‐hoo!

‐ One minute!
One minute!

‐ Zac is not letting go
of the ball.

See how I hold on, Tayshia?-

I love it!
‐ I never let go!

‐ I love to see it!

‐ Spencer still scrappy.
‐ Yeah, let's go!

Let's go!
‐ Both teams leaving it all

in the pool today.
‐ Oh, there's Noah.

‐ Good defense.
Riley.

‐ Oh, oh, come on.
‐ Let's go!

‐ Come on, Spencer.
‐ Spencer with the easy layup!

You wanna call it down, Tayshia?

Ten seconds.

‐ Ten, nine, eight...
‐ Blake, Blake, Blake, Blake!

‐ Seven, six...
‐ Put it up!

‐ Five, four...
‐ Kenny on the fast break.

Kenny on the fast break.
‐ Three, two...

‐ Oh, great defense by Eazy.
‐ One!

‐ Ball game!

Blue team!

‐ Big win.

Blue team, we really dominated.

Put it on the books.

‐ I love, love, love,
love the energy

the blue team had.

Green team,
you guys really tried.

‐ So, Blue team,
congratulations.

‐ Oh.
‐ You guys are about to enjoy

an incredible barbecue...
‐ Oh.

‐ Open bar...
‐ Yes!

‐ Oh.
‐ Time with Tayshia.

‐ Oh.
‐ Green team,

you get to enjoy
a nice walk home.

‐ ‐ That sucks.

Another date,
and I don't get to, you know,

hang out with the girl.

So... here we go again.

‐ Blue team, enjoy this time.

Green team, you guys
will miss out on some

hot dogs and hamburgers,
but you'll be back tonight

for the after‐party.

‐ We love ya.

‐ I got you, guys.
Don't you worry.

‐ All right, guys, head on out.
We'll see ya later tonight.

‐ Got a trophy,
get to hang out with her

a little bit longer,
and just looking forward

to tonight, continuing to have
more success,

some more victories,

hopefully‐‐hopefully
get the Group Date Rose.

‐ Good job, guys.
I'm so proud of you.

You guys wanna...
‐ Thank you.

‐ Get some drinks
and go have some burgers?

‐ Yes.
‐ Yes.

‐ Going into tonight,

there's gonna be
more tempers flaring.

There's gonna be more emotion.

‐ Cheers to victory.
‐ Cheers!

‐ I wouldn't be surprised
if it gets

a little intense tonight.

Where's my date?

Saddle up.

‐ You kind of come off like a.

‐ There's a little bit
of animosity,

a little bit of jealousy.
‐ Guys like you,

we call you lunch meat.
‐ I'm here for Tayshia.

I don't really care
what these guys think.

‐ Jason?
‐ Yes?

‐ Wha‐‐these past couple
of days have been hard for you.

‐ Yeah.
‐ What‐‐what's going on?

Where's your‐‐
where's your head at?

‐ The girl last night
that I met, Tayshia...

she deserves someone who's
gonna give her all the love.

I don't know
if that's right now for me.

‐ Yeah, it does seem like
that your mind is still

in a certain place right now.
‐ It is.

I have feelings for Clare still.

And I feel awful
because you know why?

I'm hanging on
by a piece of floss.

It's not fair to Tayshia.

If I'm gonna be here,
she deserves all of me.

I'm fighting still,
but I don't know

how much more I have left,
and I'm just being

brutally honest with you, man.

It's just hard to move on
from Clare,

someone I had feelings for.

I can't just flip
an on‐and‐off switch

with somebody else.

‐ Don't mind me.
I'm gonna get that for y'all.

First one‐on‐one.

‐ I'm afraid that I'm gonna
get the one‐on‐one

'cause I don't know

if I'm ready for that right now.

‐ "Brendan, let's start
our journey to fall in love."

‐ sh**t.
‐ "Love, Tayshia."

‐ The first one‐on‐one
with Tayshia‐‐

the validation is huge.

It's real.
It's getting super real for me.

That's big.
‐ Oh, ho.

‐ There you go, sir.

‐ Let's see if I can get
some sleep tonight

because, right now,
I'm‐‐I'm on cloud nine.

That's huge.

‐ What's up, y'all?
‐ Yeah, right?

‐ So how was the barbecue?

‐ Did we miss
some good hot dogs and burgers?

‐ Yeah, it was great.
‐ Cold hot dogs and burgers,

I'm told?

‐How‐‐weren't the burgers great
earlier

and the hot dogs?

‐ Did they serve you?
‐ Double‐double?

Were they gentlemen
and serve you?

‐ No.
‐ They didn't, did they?

See?
Slipping up.

‐ We were able to have fun
tonight.

It was really fun seeing
your guys' competitive side.

You guys brought it today.
I'm really, really proud.

But let's continue all this.

I obviously wanted to hang out

with all of you
and get to know you guys more.

So the night is just beginning,

and I think we should
have a good time.

‐ Absolutely.
‐ Absolutely.

‐ Cheers to that.
‐ So toast to a good night.

Cheers.

‐ When Tayshia walks
into a room,

it's like,
we have, like, a unspoken,

like, swag about us.

Like, we both are, like,
smiley and giddy

and, like, joking,
and, like‐‐I don't know.

I just‐‐I just need that
energy, um, from my partner.

‐ How are you doing?
‐ How‐‐I'm good.

How are you doing?
How's your night?

‐ I'm great.

I have nothing
to complain about.

I feel like
you make me, like, giddy.

You know what I mean?
‐ Really?

‐ Yeah.
‐ 'Cause you make me

kind of giddy.
There's something about you.

You have, like,
an infectious personality

and, like, energy,
and I'm like‐‐

I'm‐‐I'm digging it.
‐ I'm d‐‐listen.

I'm digging it as well.
Like, no, I'm‐‐

‐ Just a little bit, though.
‐ No, it's‐‐it's crazy.

Like, I feel like
you walk into the room,

and you have me, like,
completely.

‐ Oh.
‐ And, like, I see it.

Like, I‐‐I feel like
I just met my wife,

and, like, I feel like,
you know, this could be

a crazy love story.

And, like, as corny
as that sounds‐‐

but, like, maybe that's what
it's supposed to feel like.

And, like, maybe
this was‐‐literally

this crazy pandemic and 2020‐‐

like, maybe this was all
meant to be, you know?

‐ Yeah.
‐ So...

‐ I appreciate that.

‐ Um...
‐ Thank you.

‐ No, thank you.

‐ No, it's good
to have you here.

‐ Yeah.
‐ I feel like I need you.

I need you.
‐ I got you.

‐ I feel, like, at peace.

Eazy came out
of his shell tonight,

which was a pleasant surprise.

He's just one of those guys
that has an infectious energy

that you kind of just
wanna be around.

And all the guys

that are on the date today
are awesome,

and I'm actually really excited

to just dive a little deeper
and get to actually know

some of these guys.

Okay, so you're 36.
‐ 36.

‐ And... relation‐‐
‐ What do you wanna know?

Lay it on me.
Come out with it.

‐ I just wanna know, like...

ha‐‐like, have you found
any‐‐like,

why are you still single?

Like, how are you here,
still looking for love?

You know what I mean?
‐ I just haven't found it.

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ I haven't found it yet.

How are you still single,
more importantly?

‐ I don't know.

I just really know what I want,
and I feel like

there's not really men
around wh‐‐where I live.

‐ Really?
‐ They're just boys, like,

chasing things.
‐ Right.

‐ And, like, as much
as I wanna grow with someone...

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ I don't wanna, like,

teach 'em how to be a man,
you know?

‐ Well, the good news is,
I think that, like,

I know what I have to offer.
‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ I believe, like, experience
is our greatest teacher.

You know?
‐ Yeah.

‐ And, uh, I'm just excited.

I'm excited to be here
and be hanging with you,

and it's gonna be
a good journey.

I'm pumped.
‐ I think so.

I think we're just getting
started, to be honest.

Yeah.-

Everything with Zac
is just really comfortable.

He's, like, a pleasant surprise.

He just feels like a man to me.

It makes me feel reassured

that there are connections
to be made,

and there is chemistry.

I have definitely noticed
that you are

putting yourself out there.

‐ Thank you.

I'm extremely happy about that.

‐ Yeah.
‐ I'll give the manners‐‐

that credit to my mother.

She raised me to be a gentleman.

‐ I just have real men,
and they're so nice.

You want kids?

‐ I do want kids.

Uh...
‐ How many kids do you want?

‐ Um, I just want two daughters.

‐ Oh, my God.
‐ How many children

do you want?
‐ Honest answer?

‐ Yeah, sh**t.
‐ Five.

‐ Wow!
‐ I know.

‐ All right.
All right.

Got a whole
basketball team going.

‐ That's what I want!

I genuinely like all these guys.

They're making me smile
and laugh.

So you started off
a little bit shy, I feel like.

‐ Yeah.
‐ And then you came out.

‐ But once I'm, like,
comfortable with you,

I am open, especially with you.

It's just very easy, you know.

‐ I think we're off
to a great start.

‐ I agree.

‐ My heart is all over
the place.

I have a lot on my plate...

in a good way.

‐ The group date went well‐‐
got the W, obviously.

Um, I'll be interested to see
who gets that rose.

That'll be the ultimate W.

‐ Spence, I think I owe you
for my cracked ribs.

‐ I think we're even, dude.

If you need any more,
let me know.

‐ Here.
Hold on.

I'm just gonna speak freely.
This is no‐‐

‐ Please do, yeah.
Please do.

‐ To try to put it
in layman's terms...

‐ Yeah.
‐ And don't take this

the wrong way.
‐ Okay.

‐ You kind of come off like a.

‐ Okay.

‐ Obviously, we're not
all here to be friends,

but we all do have
to live together.

‐ I didn't even know‐‐I had‐‐
honestly,

I had no idea that you guys‐‐
‐ Well, that's a lie.

I mean, like, you were
stirring it a little bit,

"What's up, guys?"

Like...
‐ I'm not going out of my way

to make enemies with anybody,
but, like, I'm gonna be

true to the reason why I'm here.

Like, Tayshia
is the primary objective.

‐ Where I'm from,
a guy like Spencer‐‐

pretty boy‐‐he's lunch meat.

We didn't grow up
with a whole lot,

but what we had
was fried baloney.

That man
is fried baloney sandwich

with the mayonnaise all day.

It wasn't what you said.
It was just

the way you said it.

I see guys like you every day.

It's rough enough
in my particular area

that when we come across
guys like you,

we call you lunch meat.

‐ Okay.

‐ Because you like to talk
a lot of.

And I know you're the new guy.

If I'm off‐base,
you can let me know.

But if I am on‐base,
and you wanna with me,

we can go.

‐ Okay, noted.

Their argument for me
being a is weak.

I can totally tell there's
a little bit of animosity,

a little bit of jealousy
because I'm doing well

with Tayshia.

‐ Hey.
‐ How are you?

I just have to keep it moving,

all gas, no breaks,
and get that Group Date Rose.

‐ Well, I just brought you
some ice

just in case your lip
was swollen.

Oh, you're so sweet.-

‐ I wanted to say,
when you came over,

like, checked on me
during the game,

that was super sweet.

‐ Oh, good.
‐ I appreciate it.

‐ You and Riley were a little,
um‐‐

‐ We were getting after it
a little bit.

‐ Yeah.
‐ Yeah.

‐ But is that because
that there's beef there,

or it's just
you guys were just competitive?

‐ I would say given the fact

that you were so kind to give me

the First Impression Rose...
‐ Yeah.

‐ There's a little bit
of mixed feelings there,

but, uh, I don't really care.

‐ Well, that's good.

‐ Okay.
‐ I'm like...

‐ I'm gonna give you

a little side kiss.
‐ Oh, this is cute.

'Cause your lip.

‐ Yeah.
‐ Let me check it.

It's pretty big, actually.

‐ I am very stoked.

It's good to know I have
a good reading on Tayshia.

I'm feeling pretty confident
in myself,

and I've got this in the bag.

And I love it.

‐ Well...

I guess there is a rose
that needs to be given tonight.

‐ For sure.

‐ Spencer, you fought for me
literally today,

and I thank you for that
'cause it shows

that you really care.

Zac...

you really surprised me today,

and I had a really
good conversation with you.

And I'm really excited
to continue

to get to know you.

Eazy, I wanna say thank you
to you as well

because, um, our conversation‐‐
you really opened up to me,

and you were honest
and vulnerable,

and that's all
I've been asking for.

So with all that being said,
um...

Eazy,
would you accept this rose?

‐ Always.
‐ Okay, cool.

‐ Eazy.

‐ I did get the rose.

I'm definitely in my feelings.

So, yeah, it's exciting.

It's just fun and carefree,
and it's like‐‐

it's just powerful.

‐ So I'll see you guys later.

‐ Everything is literally
falling into place,

and the greatest love story
ever, like,

maybe I'm living it right now.

‐ Good night, y'all.
Have a good one.

‐ Good night.
‐ Good night.

‐ Congrats, my man.
‐ Yeah.

It felt good, man.

‐ Tonight was good.

I didn't know what to expect

for it being
my first group date,

but I think it went really well.

I'm starting to actually
make connections

with these guys,
and it was a fear of mine

that I wasn't going to.

I was scared that
these guys could still be

emotionally hung up still
on Clare.

So it feels good
that all of them, like,

truly wanna be here
and are here for me.

‐ I had a chance
to talk to Jason.

He's going through something
right now.

I think it's obvious.

‐ It sucks to see him struggle,
really.

‐ Yeah, he's in‐‐
‐ He's in a tough spot.

‐ Tough, tough position.
‐ Very tough spot.

‐ Yo!
‐ How's it going, guys?

‐ Hey, man.
‐ There he is.

‐ ‐ So glad you came in.

We were‐‐we were
just thinking about you.

‐ ‐ I, uh‐‐I love you guys.

Yeah, I came here
not knowing what to expect.

This journey lead me down
to feelings for a girl,

and I think I, you know‐‐
I fell in love with Clare.

And unfortunately,
I just can't put

my whole heart into Tayshia.

She doesn't deserve that,

and, um, neither do you guys.

You guys deserve to given
all the time you deserve,

and I'm not gonna take that
away from you guys or her.

So it's just‐‐
it's not respectful

for me to be here anymore.

‐ The fact that you
can be so honest...

and you can think about
the other human beings here...

Mm‐hmm.-

‐ And Tayshia...

You are such a stronger man

walking out of here
than when you walked in here.

- ‐ For sure, bro.
- ‐

‐ ‐ Dude.

‐ I love you, bro.
‐ Mm.

‐ For some reason,
in the back of my head,

I still have feelings for Clare.

‐ Love you, man.
‐ Love you guys too.

It's crazy how impactful
those moments

where we did
spend together were.

I opened myself up.
I became vulnerable.

I became emotional.
I trusted her, and she's gone.

I'm human,
and my feelings are hurt.

So unfortunately,
I can't just flip a switch

and say, "Tayshia, here I am.

Let me go start
this journey with you."

I wanted to, but I can't.

‐ Hey!
‐ Hey, how are you?

‐ I'm good.
How are you?

You wanna come in?
‐ Good, I'd love to.

‐ Pleasant surprise.
‐ I'm sorry to barge in here.

‐ No, please.
‐ It's late on a Sunday.

I know.

‐ Come in.

What's going on?
‐ W‐‐I wanted to come

and chat with you a little bit.

It was so refreshing
to have you come in

the other night, and I'm really
happy you're here.

‐ Thank you.
‐ But...

I took this‐‐this journey,

um, not knowing what to expect.

I let my walls down...

And I think I fell in love
with‐‐with Clare.

And, um, unfortunately, um...

she chose somebody else,
and, I, uh‐‐

my feelings for her were real.

And, um, you deserve

someone amazing,

and you deserve someone
who's all‐in.

And, um, unfortunately, uh...

I can't‐‐I can't do this
anymore.

Well‐‐okay, number one‐‐I wanna
thank you for coming over

and saying all of that,
but I just don't want you

to close off on other things

because it didn't work out
with her.

‐ Right.

‐ Because you could be
passing something else up

that's great.
‐ I know.

I just feel like
in my heart right now,

I just can't give that.

‐ And I‐‐I will say that this
is one of my fears that I had,

coming into this...
‐ Yeah.

‐ Knowing that Clare
was previously with all of you.

And I didn't know if you guys

were gonna all be invested
in a relationship with her

at‐‐when I came, you know.
‐ Yeah.

‐ So this makes me sad
that, you know,

it is exactly
what I was fearing.

‐ Well, can I‐‐can I stop you?
‐ Yeah.

‐ Those 19 guys don't feel
what I have.

‐ Yeah.
‐ They're here for you.

They're not here for Clare.
‐ You're such a sweetheart.

‐ I promise you
you're in good hands

with one of those guys.

So I'm really sorry

that I can't be here for you.

It sucks.

This is‐‐this is really hard.

‐ I'm gonna let you do
what you wanna do,

and I'm gonna wish you
the very best.

‐ Thank you very much.

‐ Okay.
‐ All right, come here.

Good luck.
‐ Oh, my God.

That was a man that was
working through his emotions.

I was not expecting that at all.

I'll walk you out.
‐ All right, sounds good.

‐ I'm being a little selfish,

but‐‐I don't know‐‐I feel like

he could have been a really
good guy to get to know.

It really sucks, to be honest.

And it kind of makes me
a little worried

about the rest of the guys.

‐ Uh, just got really real.

Jason, he, uh, decided to leave.

‐ No.

‐ Tough, man‐‐
kind of a b*mb drop.

I wonder, you know,
how she's feeling with that.

‐ I was feeling better
about things,

but now I'm, like,
second‐guessing everything.

I would hate to truly have
feelings for someone,

and then, like, find out
they have reservations.

I mean, I've been on such a high

that I didn't even realize
that some of the guys

might view me
as a second choice.

I never wanna feel that way,
and I have in the past.

I just hope that
none of these guys

make me feel that way again.

‐ It's weird without
Jason being here.

He's normally the loudest guy.

It's just an odd feeling.

‐ I wondered why he was
walking around to me, like,

saying his goodbyes.
He was like,

"Listen, brother,
if I don't see you anymore..."

‐ ‐ I was like, "Damn.

Are‐‐are you‐‐are you dying?"

Like, what's going on,
my brother?

‐ But the good thing is,

you know you're one step closer

to being the right person
for Tayshia.

‐ Unfortunately,
Jason did leave last night,

and that was one of my fears
coming into this‐‐

that the guys
were here for Clare.

And I don't wanna feel that way.

I don't wanna feel like
the second choice.

So today, on my first
one‐on‐one with Brendan,

I definitely need
the reassurance

of knowing that Brendan
is focused on me.

‐ You know, I've been here
for a couple weeks,

but I feel like, um, this
is kind of my first day here,

and I couldn't be happier

to have a full,
uninterrupted day,

uh, just to get to know her.

‐ What did the date card say?
‐ Spill it.

‐ You know, "Get ready for
the journey to fall in love"‐‐

something like that.

‐ Oh!

‐ Come on.

‐ What the‐‐

‐ Oh, my...
‐ What is happening here?

Where am I at?-

‐ What?

‐ Oh, my God.
‐ What the hell?

‐ Hey, guys.

‐ She came in on that horse,
and I was like...

I mean, wow.

She is looking stunning.

‐ How you guys doing?

‐ Tayshia looks sexy.
She looks hot.

I would have loved
to switch lives with Brendan

for the day today.

‐ Where's my date?

No more horsing around
for you with them.

You're gonna come with me.
I wanna make sure

Brendan's ready to get
back in the saddle

and do this journey with me.

We're gonna have fun.
So saddle up.

‐ You look beautiful.
‐ You gonna join me?

Thank you.
‐ Ride on‐‐ride on back?

‐ No, you got your own.

Brendan's gonna be amazing
on a horse.

A guy that can rock a turtleneck

can rock anything,
to be honest with you.

So a horse is right up
his alley.

You're doing really well,
you know,

for this being your first time.

‐ Thank you.

Thank you.

‐ You're my first one‐on‐one.

‐ I know.
I was a little shocked,

a little speechless,
to be honest.

‐ Really?
‐ But, yeah, yeah, yeah.

If I could have, like,
manifested this any better,

like, you actually
being the Bachelorette‐‐

you know, just your whole look,
your vibe, your energy,

uh, is, like,
right up my alley, 100%.

‐ Really?
‐ Yeah, no, you're, like,

more my type, my style
in every way.

So I'm‐‐ ‐ Really?

‐ Yeah, yeah,
I couldn't be happier.

‐ Oh, that is the sweetest!

Honestly, that makes me
feel so good.

‐ Tayshia looks
absolutely beautiful

in her little hat.

You know, so I wanna kiss her
absolutely,

but waiting
for that right moment.

I wanted to kiss her
the first night,

and then Chris Harrison snuck in

and took her away from me.

So kind of had thoughts

while I'm riding the horse,
like,

"Should I make the move here?"

‐ Hey there!
‐ Oh, look who it is!

‐ There he is.
‐ Hola, amigos!

‐ Hola!
‐ Cómo estás?

How are you?
‐ You look hot up there.

Can I interest you in the, uh,
famous Harrison margarita?

‐ Yeah!
‐ Absolutely.

You know, I always
love to see Chris.

Yeah, Chris‐‐Chris is my guy.

Thank you, Chris.
‐ Here you go.

‐ But I'm just excited
to get back to it

and, um, just talk
and get to know each other.

‐ All right, you guys have fun.
Be careful!

‐ Cheers, Chris!

Certainly make that
riding a horse

looking good, Tayshia,
to be honest.

‐ Do I?
‐ Ice cream!

Ice cream!
‐ Oh, my...

‐ Who wants some ice cream?

‐ Chris Harrison
keeps popping up.

You know,
every time we're getting

a little closer to the kiss,
and, you know,

yeah, it's kind of frustrating.

‐ Bye!
‐ Thank you, Chris.

‐ Thank you!

‐ How are your butt cheeks
feeling?

Mine are already a little sore,
but‐‐

‐ Are they really?
‐ Cold coconuts!

‐ Look who it is!
‐ That guy's amazing.

I'm just gonna be honest.

Uh, he needs to kind of give me
some space

and‐‐and let me do my thing.

‐ You never know
when I'll pop up next.

‐ I was gonna say, are we
gonna run into you again?

We'll see.
‐ But I'm gonna

make it natural,
and the kiss is gonna

be at the perfect time,
whenever it does happen.

‐ Oh, my gosh.
This is perfect.

‐ Yeah, this is nice.

‐ I'm really, really,
really happy

Brendan came on the one‐on‐one
with me today.

I don't know.
I'm excited about him.

‐ How you feeling?
‐ I feel good.

‐ Yeah?
‐ How 'bout you?

‐ Good, good.
‐ He's patient

and kind and seems very humble.

And I feel like I, like‐‐
I'm, like, constantly

staring at his lips,
but I also feel like

he's staring at mine.
So it's like‐‐I don't know.

I'm not worried about it.

‐ Um, you know,
there's something, like,

I wanted to do night one

that I didn't get a chance
to do.

So I just wanna, um...-

Honestly...

round me up, cowboy,
because I am ready

to go home with this man.

I'm tell‐‐I'm telling you
right now.

Brendan is everything.

Obviously, I can have
a good time with him,

like, a fun time with him,
but tonight, I wanna know

why he is still single.

So we'll see how the rest
of the night goes.

‐ Isn't this place so pretty?

‐ This is beautiful.

Today was one
of the best days I've had

in a long, long time.

Look at this.

I'm absolutely starting
to have feelings for Tayshia,

and I think this could be
the beginning

of something amazing.

‐ Thank you.

‐ But tonight,
I need to tell her

that I have been married before

and, um‐‐and since divorced.

And I don't know
how Tayshia's gonna take it.

Not everyone wants to be
with someone

that's already been married.

They want that experience

to be, you know,
the first for both people,

and so, yeah,
I'm definitely nervous.

I'm concerned that I could be
going home tonight.

‐ ‐ What an amazing day, huh?

‐ I know.
Today was fun.

‐ Yeah, today was awesome.

‐ Did you have a good time?
‐ Yeah.

It was a special day for me...

‐ Good.
‐ And getting to know you

a little bit more.
‐ I feel like‐‐okay,

so on night one,
I feel like I couldn't

really get a read on you.
I didn't know

if you were nervous...
‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ Or if you just have, like,
this, like,

cool, collected demeanor
about you,

but I think you're just, like,

a really relaxed, chill guy.
‐ Yeah, yeah.

‐ And I feel like
I probably do need

someone that's a little bit
more quiet...

‐ Yeah.
‐ And, like, just more calm

because I can get
a little excited.

‐ That's okay.

Nothing wrong with excitement.
That's okay.

No, I mean, this is‐‐yeah,
this is who I am,

and, you know,
there's certainly, like,

better‐looking guys,
smarter guys in the house,

and I know, like,
being well‐rounded

isn't necessarily sexy,
but I think I really am, like,

um, you know, really,
true husband material.

‐ You're very handsome as well,
so I wouldn't count that out.

‐ Thank you.
Thank you.

Okay, so the first night,
I was talking to you,

and then we kind of got
interrupted,

but I was wondering,

like, how you got here.

Like, what were
your past relationships like?

How are you still single?
What‐‐

‐ Yeah, yeah.
‐ What's your story?

‐ Yeah, so, um,
I do have a little baggage

that, uh, you know, um,
has been a journey for me,

and‐‐and, um, you know,
so I do have something

to‐‐to tell you.

Uh, yeah, you know,
in my early 20s,

I‐‐I did get married, um,

and it was a high school
sweetheart situation.

You know, our families
had been close

since elementary school,
and we've known each other

for that long,
and there was no cheating.

There was no, um, abuse
or‐‐or, like, addiction

or any‐‐any of those‐‐ ‐ Right.

‐ Those crazy things.

But, uh, we really, you know,

fell out of love,
and‐‐and, um, you know,

I didn't really know who I was
without her,

and she didn't really know
who she was without me.

And we, you know,
did a counseling,

and‐‐and, um,
it was definitely hard for me

knowing that, um, you know,
I failed to a certain extent.

‐ Mm‐hmm.

And, like, how was your family?

Were they trying
to encourage you

to go fix it, or...?

‐ Yeah, you know, just divorcing

seemingly over nothing,
uh, you know,

was ridiculous for them
to comprehend,

and, uh, I would have, uh,
stuck it out, um,

at least initially, in my mind,

but then she came
to the realization

that maybe children
weren't‐‐weren't in her future.

And being a father
is really, like,

all I've ever wanted in life,
and, um, so we obviously went

our separate ways.

Um, so...

‐ Well... do you wanna know
my thoughts?

‐ Yeah, absolutely.

‐ Um...

I'm actually a little bit
more understanding

than you probably think.

‐ Okay.

‐ Um,
and it's because I actually

got married at a young age too.
‐ Oh, wow.

Okay.
‐ I married a guy

that I met in college,
and I also had lost myself

in my marriage.
‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ Like, my identity was him,

but, um, unfortunately,

there was infidelity
and other issues, um,

not on my part.
‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ And then we got divorced,

and I too felt like I failed.
‐ Mm‐hmm.

‐ And I too felt embarrassed
and ashamed

and that fear of, "Our parents
are gonna be upset."

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ "Our friends are

gonna be upset."
So I know exactly

what you mean.
‐ We have a little more

in common than, like‐‐

‐ A little bit more in common
than you think.

‐ Than‐‐than I thought.
Okay.

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ Yeah, so, um, we can

really relate on that level
and that, you know, I'm just‐‐

not‐‐not that I'm‐‐I'm glad
you went through that,

but, yeah, it‐‐
‐ You can kind of breathe

a little bit.
‐ Yeah, I can breathe

a little bit and‐‐and, uh,

know that you're not gonna,
like,

kick me out the door right away.

So...

‐ No.
‐ Not just yet.

‐ I was nervous to tell you.

‐ Look at that.
We're‐‐

‐ Isn't it crazy
how life works out?

‐ It's‐‐yeah, it's insane.
It's insane to‐‐to know

that we've both
gone through things,

and it's all
brought us here tonight

is special, and hopefully
it means something.

‐ This is exactly
where I'm supposed to be.

‐ 100%.
‐ So hopefully you feel

the same way.
‐ Yeah.

No, cheers to being

exactly where we should be.

‐ ‐ 100%.

‐ Getting divorced
is a really big deal.

I thought I was dying
when I was‐‐

when I was going through it.

So it was really therapeutic

to hear him saying
all the words that my heart

has, like, felt
the past two years.

I felt like I wasn't alone.
Like, I don't know.

We just kind of bonded
on a different level.

‐ I do wanna ask you, uh,

is that something
that you see in your future,

children and‐‐and a family?

Or is that, uh...?

‐ Yeah, I definitely
wanna have kids.

‐ Okay.
‐ In fact, I probably wanna

have more kids than you think.-

‐ Um...

So I can't wait to be a mom.

‐ How many kids are we talking?
What do we‐‐

what do I have to prepare for?
‐ I mean... like, five.

Five, okay.-

Is that a lot?
‐ No, no.

That doesn't‐‐that doesn't
scare me.

‐ That doesn't scare you?
Okay, good.

‐ No, that doesn't scare me.

‐ We're already
on the same page.

‐ We're on the same page.
‐ Look at that.

‐ We got that.
Yeah, we got that.

‐ So let's see.

There's this thing...

‐ That's important.
‐ This beautiful, little rose,

and... um, I'm so happy

you were able to open up to me,
and you feel comfortable enough

to just let me in.

The fact that we were able
to actually bond on it...

‐ Mm‐hmm.
‐ Means so much to me.

So... Brendan,
would you accept this rose?

‐ Absolutely, yes.
‐ Yay!

‐ Thank you.
I'm on cloud nine right now.

This is certainly the best date
of my entire life,

the best day of my entire life.

Good, thank you.
I appreciate it.

‐ Of course.
‐ Thank you.

I'm so happy to be here
with you.

‐ But the night's not over,

and I actually have
a surprise for you.

‐ Okay.
‐ So will you come with me?

‐ A surprise?
Absolutely.

‐ Okay.
‐ Let's go.

I didn't even understand

that I could feel this way,

but, uh, after
this one‐on‐one date,

I really can, like, start to see

that this could be the first day

of the rest of my life.

Look at how beautiful
this‐‐the moon is

and glistening off the water.

That was a surprise.

That's amazing.
‐ Oh, my God!

‐ All right, they're definitely
sharing a moment right now.

‐ Ohh.
‐ What a date.

They come on horses...
‐ Right?

And then leave with fireworks.
‐ And leave with fireworks.

‐ Damn.

I'm jealous.
‐ Oh!

‐ I love it!
‐ This is just for us too.

‐ Kissing Brendan feels like
I'm kissing my person.

Like, I feel
really connected to him.

I don't know.
I feel like I could marry him,

which is so bizarre.

I don't even think
I've felt this way ever.

Today was just really magical.

I don't even know how
to describe it any other way.

You can't describe it
any other way

except for "magical."

I finally feel like
I'm the Bachelorette,

and this is what I'm here for.

I know I'm gonna find the person

that I'm truly
supposed to be with.

My God.

Whoo!

Oh, my gosh.
Look at you guys.

‐ The journey continues

next week
on "The Bachelorette."

‐ Tayshia is looking
for a grown‐ass man.

‐ I could get used to this.
‐ I could be a main course

for breakfast.-

‐ I definitely want her
for myself.

‐ That was good!
This is the life

of the Bachelorette.
What can I say?

‐ I enjoy every second
I get with you.

‐ I'm trying to have
the best love story ever.

‐ Every moment is precious,

so I'm gonna fight
for what I want.

‐ This is battle.

‐ Blood, sweat, tears, regret.

‐ The medics are heading over.

‐ And then Noah
hopped the fence.

‐ All hell is breaking loose.
‐ He's trying to push himself

on to the group dates.

‐ I think it's immature
to do that.

I'm not gonna let this go.

‐ Tayshia's a smoke show.
‐ What woman wants

to be called a "smoke show"?
You're a fraud.

- You're a phony.
- That guy!

‐ The needs to stop.

I'm not taking any more, dude.

‐ I'm bringing
my inner wolverine out.

‐ It's gonna get bloody.

He's not waking up tomorrow
after this.

‐ It's all coming up next week
on "The Bachelorette."

- ‐ Let's talk about Noah.
- ‐

Noah was a curveball.

Uh, you know...-

Was that mustache real?
‐ Yeah, I don't know.

Uh, you know,
uh, it's not "Movember."

‐ It's a totally unremarkable‐‐

‐ It just doesn't fit his face.

‐ I don't understand it,
you know.

‐ It's just odd.
‐ Yeah.

‐ And the guy's had
plenty of time

while he's been in quarantine

to shave the off his lip.

I'm not sure
what this guy‐‐like it‐‐

like, maybe that's a thing
in Oklahoma.

Like, I don't know.

Um, I‐‐I just don't‐‐I don't
really see it with Noah.

I'll be surprised if Tayshia

or any eligible Bachelorette

as beautiful
and as charismatic does.

And so I'm really hoping
that he has a personality

that just kind of overshadows...

‐ The 'stache?
‐ His look.

I'll put it that way.-

Yeah.

‐ I echo the sentiments on that,

but I think I'm just gonna
call him "the 'Stache"

from now on.-

‐ That'll do.
