The Amazing Race

12 teams began

a race around the world.

Go!

From Germany to Jordan

and Italy to Iceland.

After triumphs

- tears

- Why is this so hard?

frustration

and facing fears

I'm really scared.

nine teams came up short.

Aastha and Nina.

Tim and Rex.

Rich and Dom.

Linton and Sharik.

Glenda and Lumumba.

Abby and Will.

Quinton and Mattie.

Marcus and Michael.

Aubrey and David, you have been

eliminated from the race.

Now only three teams remain.

Separated at birth,

recently-united twins

Emily and Molly

began their race with a goal.

Being on the race gives us

a unique opportunity

to make up for 36 lost years.

- As their bond grew

- This is more than

just a race

for a million dollars.

This is a personal journey.

so did their

racing abilities.

Oh, my God!

When an injury threatened

to end their journey

- This is k*lling me.

- Okay.

the twins persevered

and battled their way

into the final three.

Derek and Claire

started the race with a bang.

You are

the first team to arrive.

Oh, my God! Let's go!

But the dating couple

soon hit obstacles.

I can't even watch anymore.

I'm doing something wrong.

Finding a strategic edge

wherever they could

and conquering their fears.

We got it.

I was so scared.

The couple regained their spark

to earn a spot

in the final three.

We're one third of the way.

From the start,

Luis and Michelle embraced

each leg with laughter and joy.

All right, baby,

you got to get out and push.

Push it, babe!

But the married couple

wanted more.

We're not a middle-of-the-pack

team. That's not who we are.

From then on,

Miami became a dominant force,

winning three legs.

-Back-to-back, baby. Back-to-back.

-Back-to-back

- You are team number one.

- Yes!

But still having

fun along the way

I love this!

- as they stormed their way into the final three.

- Let's go.

Nine teams have been eliminated,

and now only three have

a sh*t at winning

$1 million

andThe Amazing Race.

Emily and Molly,

Derek and Claire

and Luis and Michelle

will now head

3,000 miles south to Nashville

for a final showdown

in Music City, USA.

This is Nashville,

capital of country music,

birthplace of bluegrass

and home to the Grand Ole Opry.

Teams will start the leg

just outside the city

in the small town of Lynchburg.

Whew. I love you guys.

- All right.

- Let's go.

We want to start a family.

Having that money

would do so much for us.

- Yeah.

- We're ready to take it home.

Good luck.

I mean, I think fate

definitely brought us here.

- We're meant to win this.

- Yes.

Let's do this.

This is the only leg

that matters.

- Let's go, baby!

- "Route Info."

"Welcome to Tennessee and

the Jack Daniel Distillery."

- "Properly label and bottle."

- "Properly label and bottle

"30 bottles

of single barrel whiskey

- to receive your next clue."

- "To receive your next clue."

Guaranteeing a flavorful

spirit is one thing,

but before this Tennessee

whiskey hits the shelves,

it has to be

perfectly presented.

Teams need to label and pack

30 bottles ready for shipment.

Once they've received

a final quality check,

they'll be boxed up

and teams will get a clue.

- Let's go.

- All right.

- Yep.

- Okay.

All right, let's go.

"One of you will label,

the other one will pack."

- So you want to label, I'll pack?

- Okay.

You want to label

or you want to pack?

I think I will pack,

because label sounds

a little more finesse.

Do you want to pack or label?

- I want to pack.

- Okay.

Hoppity hop.

Follow me this way.

- All right.

- Okay.

Follow me, please.

Yes, sir.

- You got this?

- Yes.

- Just kind of look at it.

- Okay.

- That's where we can package them.

- Yeah.

Molly had suggested

when we were going in

that she wanted

to do the boxing,

so I went straight to labeling.

You got this, Claire. Come on.

We have to put labels on

bottles of whiskey and tag them.

I got to tag it

so Derek knows, uh, it's mine.

So one of us has to label,

and the other person is packing

all of them into boxes.

Derek, how am I doing?

Two of yours got denied,

but everything else is good.

- Okay.

- If you can send 'em faster

Okay.

Get over here. You're mine.

Sweating. I'm a little shaky.

This one's bad.

- Michelle?

- Yes.

They're not getting approved.

Molly has a bunch here approved.

I think you're doing

something wrong, baby.

So, right now I'm looking

at Molly and Emily's setup,

and they have

more bottles approved

than we do.

So I think Michelle's just doing

something wrong down there.

She just has to figure that out.

Look at the failed ones.

Look at the failed ones.

They're right there.

All the failed ones are there.

Yeah, look at those.

- Okay. Got it. Got it.

- Look at yours.

All right. All right.

Emily, I need nine more.

All right.

Claire, yours

aren't getting passed.

You have, like,

five that didn't get passed.

Your top label

has to get better.

- Your top label has to be flat.

- Okay.

Flush.

Michelle,

do you see what's wrong?

- Yes!

- Okay.

Molly, how are we doing?

I need just one more.

Can I have a check, please?

We're halfway through,

and they're done.

Thank you. Emily, come.

- You got the clue?

- Okay.

"Route Info."

"Drive to the Korean

Veterans Memorial Bridge

in Nashville

to find your next clue."

- All right.

- Let's go.

All right, Claire,

you need to send

you need to send, uh, two more.

Okay.

- All right, Claire, we're

good. We're good. Okay.

Luis, how are we doing?

- We need more, babe.

- We need more.

I am, I am, I am.

Oh, my God, Emily was so speedy.

-Appreciate it. Thank you, Brian.

-Okay, thank you.

- Get the bag.

- Yep.

One more, baby.

One more.

I'm not nervous.

Having a good time.

Just gonna enjoy myself.

Take it step-by-step.

We're good. Come, come, come.

Let's go.

Hey, Chris,

you want to give us a check?

- Yep. You're good, you guys.

- Awesome.

Awesome. Thank you.

- We're only five minutes behind, baby.

- Thank you. That's fine.

Uh, okay.

Oh, man.

- Is there a map?

- I don't see a map.

Okay, maybe we just have to go.

There they are.

We'll definitely need to stop

and get directions.

I should have been faster

than them. I'm sorry I wasn't.

No, dude. Don't sweat it.

We're literally

right behind 'em.

We're back in our classic game,

following.

Derek and Claire

are following us.

Luis and Michelle

are right behind them.

Should I stop

at this gas station?

Yes.

Oh, they're stopping

at a gas station for directions.

I don't think that's a bad idea.

- Let's just stop here, too, then.

- Okay.

How do we get to Nashville?

- 82.

- 82?

- 231 and 24.

- Okay.

- Okay.

- 82, 231 and 24.

We have a place that

we're trying to get to

- inside of Nashville right now.

- Okay.

Koreans Veterans

Memorial Bridge.

Let's go.

We're gonna catch up.

We're gonna catch up.

We'll get

some directions down here.

- Oh, everybody's here.

- Everybody's here?

- Yeah.

- All right.

- Yeah, we're looking for the Korean Veterans

- Let's go. Let's go.

- Let's go, let's go.

- Okay, okay.

They're right behind us.

Hurry. Just hurry. Hurry, Derek.

Let's do this.

For a million dollars, baby.

- Turn right.

- Turn right?

It said turn right

onto Flat Creek Parkway.

Smarter not harder,

and we're still in the lead.

We got this.

Right on Flat Creek. 13 miles.

As we were

finishing getting directions,

Michelle and Luis pulled up.

They should at least

be a little bit behind us.

We're basically

all at the same spot,

same place right now.

- Okay.

- Thank you so much, guys.

- Thank you. Appreciate you.

- All right. See you.

We got to catch up.

24 West.

Okay, so we're

the shortest team in the final.

We're the oldest team

in the final.

And we're the most female-est.

Most female.

- We're the only all-female team.

- Yes.

I'm feeling good. I wish

they weren't all following us.

- We're not too behind,

baby. It's okay. Yeah, yeah.

- We're good.

- We'll make up after.

Oh. We're so good.

We're coming after y'all.

We're coming after y'all!

May the green lights

be on my side today.

We really thought Luis

and Michelle would be

our toughest competition.

Molly and Emily, they are,

like, scrappy underdogs.

And everyone likes

an underdog to win,

but when

you're not the underdogs,

you're kind of like,

"Stay under."

Wow. This is gonna

be a tight leg.

We just need to look for

an opportunity to pull ahead.

I'm assuming this is the bridge.

Look for marked parking.

There's marked parking.

Right there, to the right.

God, I'm gonna miss it?

- Yep. We just missed it.

- Damn it.

- Okay. That's okay.

- There are no cars there.

Derek, we're

looking for parking.

- I think I see something.

- You see it?

- Yeah, on the right.

- Yeah, right there.

- All right.

- We're the first car.

Come on.

- I see the clue box.

- Okay.

We just passed

the marked parking,

so we're trying to figure out

how we can turn around quickly.

- Oh, maybe I can make a U-turn here.

- Good.

We're so close, baby.

Yeah, yeah, we're right here.

I'm ready to run.

You got the keys, baby, right?

- Yeah.

- Let's go. Let's go.

We keep making these little

mistakes again and again.

We're, like, losing our lead.

Oh, my God.

- Let's go, Claire.

- Do it.

- "Roadblock."

- "Roadblock."

If you're looking

for the perfect 360-degree view

of downtown Nashville,

then this might be it--

300 feet

above the Cumberland River.

But teams will have no time

to take in the view.

They have to climb up here

to get a clue--

a guitar pick--

before rappelling

back down to their partner.

You got it.

We're the first team

to get to the bridge.

Luis and Michelle

are right behind us,

but this

is an opportunity for us

to get a little bit of a lead.

"Michelle must

perform this Roadblock."

- Okay.

- Go.

Derek's there now.

Everyone's there?

Great.

Why do we keep doing this?

You got it, Derek.

- You can do it faster than Michelle.

- For sure.

How's your leg?

It's okay.

"Emily must perform this."

Emily and Molly just got here.

They're right behind us.

It's a close race.

Everybody's five minutes

within each other.

It's gonna be a good battle.

Emily has rappelled already

for the castle challenge.

She also rock climbs and rappels

on her own at home,

so she's no stranger

to doing this.

Good.

The pressure's so high.

All the teams are

really neck-and-neck right now.

It looks like it's-it's

gonna be a race to the top.

Yeah, babe!

The physicality of it

was actually pretty intense,

because at first,

it was basically

like a 50-degree incline.

You're just

climbing straight up it.

I was pretty, like,

out of breath,

which I was kind of happy for,

'cause then I was like,

"Well, that means

Emily and Michelle

are definitely

gonna be out of breath."

Hopefully that's encouraging.

Let's go, baby!

I get up to the top, and

there's supposed to be a clue.

So I'm looking around, and

I see a misplaced guitar box.

And I'm like, "Okay,

well, this has to be something."

I open it up, and there's, like,

five misplaced picks.

I look closely at the pick,

and it says "Gibson Garage."

So I think that's my clue.

We're in first right now.

I think I did that climb

pretty fast.

Seems like no one else

is really up yet.

Oh, my God.

I started

to climb the bridge at first.

so I would grab the sides,

and I would pull myself up.

It was very exhausting.

Come on, baby!

Let's go, Emily!

The climb up,

in the beginning, was great.

And then we started

to get a little higher,

and I was

getting a little bit nervous.

I wasn't trying to look down,

but I kind of peeked over

and saw down.

It's like, "All right,

hold it together. Keep going."

Oh, my God.

- Walk across here.

- Keep your hands here.

- Keep your feet on the ground.

- Oh, God.

You're gonna

lower your body weight

onto this rope right here.

- All right.

- Excellent.

Michelle actually

started climbing before me,

but she wasn't there

at the top when I arrived.

Is there something I'm supposed

to do when I'm up here?

- Okay. It is 100% you.

- Okay.

Derek's coming down now.

Michelle should

be coming down soon.

I-I don't see her, but

I've rappelled before.

It's a more physical rappelling

where it's using more of, like,

your forearm muscle

to try to pull yourself down.

I got to find the clue.

Oh.

Derek went fast.

I feel like we should

have been closer than this.

I'm exhausted.

Oh, my God.

I was just exhausted.

Like, I have no idea how

I'm gonna power through this.

And I finally noticed that

I could just walk up the thing.

Then when I figured it out,

I was like,

"I lost some time now."

Derek, you crushed it.

We have to go

to the Gibson Garage.

Hey.

Oh, I'm so tired.

- yourself around. Okay.

- Okay.

Is that Emily?

That's Emily.

Yeah, girl! Looking good!

I don't know,

maybe she got stuck up there.

I don't know.

I don't know what happened.

Maybe she

couldn't find the clue.

All right.

And we're in last.

I have to wait?

Oh, man. Already

Oh, man, I'm an idiot.

I thought that because

Emily got there first

she had to go down first.

Wow.

I was waiting there

that whole time.

I could have

probably gone down with her,

and I hadn't gotten the clue.

Let's go, baby! That's my wife.

That's her.

There you go.

Move your arms faster, baby.

Let's go. Good job.

All right,

we're five minutes right now

behind Derek and Claire.

Just a few seconds

behind Emily and Molly.

Good job, sugar. Good job.

- You look tired.

- I'm exhausted.

"When you arrive

at the Gibson Garage,

"park in

the marked parking area,

then find

your next clue inside."

What do you think?

Gas station.

So, go into the city.

Did you see where

Derek and Claire went?

No, I did not.

- We need to figure out somewhere to ask for directions.

- Yeah.

-All we need to do

-Can you help me find

- is find the Gibson Garage.

- Gibson Garage on your phone?

- I'll give you this

- I love you.

Okay, fantastic.

Thank you, guys.

I have guitar picks in my hands.

This was Emily's clue

at the top of the bridge.

They say

"Nashville Gibson Garage."

So we're hoping

to figure out where this is.

I thought we should go

towards the city and ask.

Wait, was that it?

Should I go back?

I can't see.

I don't know what we're doing.

Oh, my God.

Yeah, this is it.

This is it.

Okay, okay, okay. Park, park,

park, park, park, park.

Okay.

Let's go, let's go, let's go.

Clue should be in here.

Hi.

Oh, that's so fun.

The singers are here.

- Hi. Oh, thank you so much.

- Hi. Thank you so much. - You're welcome.

"Route Info."

According to one study,

there are more musicians

per capita in Nashville than

any other city in the world.

And when it comes to guitars,

a lot of musicians agree

that a Gibson

is the cream of the crop.

Teams need to deliver three

of these prized instruments

to musicians performing

at different h*nky-tonks

around Lower Broadway.

Once they complete

their deliveries,

they'll get tickets to the

Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

Thank you.

- Good luck, you guys.

- Thank you.

"Carefully remove one electric

and two acoustic

from the wall of guitars

and place them in your cases."

We need two Gibson acoustics.

"Whiskey. Wildhorse. Tootsies."

They're all the same.

Uh, we are taking

two Gibson acoustic guitars,

an electric guitar,

and we're gonna go deliver them

to the h*nky Tonk Row.

Precious cargo.

I'm so confused.

I can't believe this.

- Oy.

- Do you want to go back to that gas station?

Yeah.

It's up to you.

I mean, we have

to go to the gas station.

We have to ask somebody else.

We don't know

where the hell we are.

Oh, my God.

One more time.

Ooh, excuse me, girls.

Can we use your cell phone

to find the Gibson Garage?

Come on, dude. Come on, come on,

come on, come on, come on.

"When you arrive

at the Gibson Garage,

park in the marked area."

- Okay. Let's go, let's go.

- Claire, Claire, Claire.

- Parking there.

- Oh, there's Derek.

- There's Derek and Claire.

- Yeah.

Wow. They just got here.

Oh, my God.

This race is so freaking tight.

It's insane.

Can we ask you guys

for some directions?

- Please.

- Por favor.

It's inside.

- Hey.

- Hey. What's up, y'all?

Oh, my gosh. Thank you so much.

- I know you! Oh, my God!

- I know you guys.

- How you guys doing?

- Oh, my gosh. Hi.

Good.

- Yeah, hurry up. Hurry up.

- Oh, my God.

So we get to the Gibson Garage,

and we get greeted by Jen

and Caroline, and we love them.

- We remember them from the all-star season, season 24.

- Yeah.

Let's go.

We know nothing about music.

It's in our soul already.

It's in our body.

We don't need to read music.

- We dance to music.

- Yeah.

But we do not

play any instruments at all.

Is this an acoustic?

It's Gibson.

I feel like an idiot.

What did make us feel good

was that we were second now.

All right, let's go.

- Cross the bridge.

- Oh, my God.

Oh, my God

Okay. Thank you.

Thank you.

- Oh, my God.

- I can't believe this.

We went the wrong direction

on the bridge, and now

we need to go back the right

direction on the bridge.

It is what it is. We're

making mistakes, like always.

We're competing

with two very strong teams,

so the margin for error is,

like, almost zero.

And we just made a huge error.

- We just need to get out so Luis and Michelle don't see.

- I know.

Come on.

Uh, we go towards Broadway.

- Broadway

- Right!

- Is Broadway this way?

- Take a right!

Derek!

- What?

- We're taking a right.

No. Broadway's this way.

That's back to the bridge.

Okay.

I am very conscious

that I am a very bad runner.

All right, let's go, Claire.

Come on, run.

- This way?

- Yes.

- We are in the lead.

- We just saw Luis and Michelle.

They could be sprinting

up to us at any moment.

This is the final leg

for a million dollars.

So I can't be a weak link.

Claire, this is it.

We just got to turn the corner.

All right.

- Gibson Garage

- All right, there it is.

Oh, that is a huge delay.

This sucks.

Where's the marked parking?

Is it to the left?

Yes.

Where's the entrance?

- Y'all are doing awesome.

- Yes.

Since we got

the last three guitars,

we knew that

we were the last to leave.

These are so heavy.

This is not gonna

be great for my knee.

Excuse me. Excuse me.

Come on, Claire.

I'm trying.

So we just have to carry these

guitar cases into Nashville

and deliver them to

three local bars on Broadway,

where every single tourist

in America seems to get drunk.

Excuse us! Excuse us!

You have to try and, like, weave

your way through the crowd.

This is Tootsie here.

Got a beautiful Gibson for you.

Beautiful.

Whiskey Bent is next.

Right in the middle.

- Little sweaty?

- Yes.

Let's go.

Pardon, cowboys!

Oh, God.

Thinking about my leg.

My legs are not

holding up very well,

but I wasn't giving up.

We're still in it.

Maybe we can outsmart

Derek and Claire

and Luis and Michelle.

This is so heavy.

Tootsie's!

- Tootsie's?

- Oh, across the street.

We got to cross the street. Go!

I was already tired

from the bridge.

Just one guitar was so heavy.

And I was exhausted.

It was hard.

- Hey.

- Hi.

How you guys doing?

- Good, sir. Thank you.

- Good to go.

- All right.

- Let's go.

Excuse us, excuse us.

Sorry, sorry.

Excuse us! Whiskey Bent.

Hello, sir.

- Thank you.

- Let's go.

- Excuse me.

- One left.

Oh, my God.

We're almost to Tootsie's.

Excuse us. I'm sorry.

We got heavy guitars

and we're in a race

for a million dollars.

Hi.

- Hi. How are you?

- Uh, tired.

Okay. Thank you.

All right, Whiskey Bent.

Excuse us. I'm sorry. Excuse us.

Wildhorse?

- Down that way, on the right.

- On the right. Thank you.

Sir.

Got something for me?

Yeah, I do.

I got a beautiful Gibson.

Perfect.

We just delivered

our third and final guitar.

Thank you.

Okay.

We need to go

to the Municipal Auditorium.

We need to find that right now.

Can I use your phone to look up

the Municipal Auditorium?

- Yeah.

- Thank you so much.

How do I spell "municipal"?

Baby, look out for Whiskey Bent.

- Right there, right there!

- You see it? Let's go.

Awesome.

Wildhorse is on this side?

They can't tell you.

It's second.

- It's Second Avenue, though.

- Second Avenue.

All right, Claire,

we want to go straight.

No, north. We're going north.

- North on Second Ave.

- It'll curve.

- Thank you.

- Thank you.

Come on, come on. Let's go!

- Let's go! Come on!

- All right! Let's go!

Sorry, I'm intense right now.

It's fine. This is it.

This is it

for a million dollars.

- Just keep going straight.

- Okay.

Let's cross.

Derek.

Claire, this is for

a million dollars.

Excuse us. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

How far down?

I don't know.

Do you--

Oh, I see it right there.

Whiskey Bent.

- Got it?

- Okay, let's go.

What's the next one?

- Uh, the last one.

- Wildhorse.

Go, go, go, go. Fast.

Fast.

Hey, boss.

- Where's Wildhorse at?

- Wildhorse?

- Wildhorse.

- This way, sir.

To the right? The

other side? To the right?

I see it. Black and gray.

Black and gray sign.

Excuse us. Excuse us.

Do you have something for me?

- Yeah.

- Wildhorse.

Thank you.

Now where do we go?

We go back?

They give us our clue.

- The girls?

- Yeah.

She has our clue.

Thank you so much.

Thank you so much.

- You got it!

- Let's go! Let's go, guys!

- Municipal Auditorium.

- We have to find it.

I see it, Claire.

Municipal Auditorium.

Is this the entrance?

Let's go. Come on.

Is this it?

It's right up here, Derek.

- "Route Info."

- "Route Info."

This is the most

recognizable piece of music

on The Amazing Race,

composed by John Keane in 2001.

Teams need to bring this

sequence of notes to life

using this giant floor piano.

Each one of these 48 keys

corresponds

to an image and a note.

If they can figure out

the chronological order

of things they encountered

during theirAmazing Race,

they will bring

the theme to life

and get their final clue,

sending them to the finish line.

"Press the keys to view images

"from your race

around the world.

"When you think you're ready,

press the pedal

to lock in your answers."

We walk into the auditorium,

and there's a huge keyboard

laid out on the floor.

We're trying to locate images

of places we've been.

We didn't see that.

We saw that.

Come on, Claire.

Come on. You got this.

Okay, keep going. No.

No. Okay.

And every note that you play

will bring up an image,

and some of these images

will bring back

a leg of the race.

-Others of them will try

to throw you off. Mm-hmm.

- No. No.

- Yes.

- There's the cube, Derek.

- Oh, we found the cube.

We saw that.

No.

- Yes.

- Gracias.

- Mega Leg.

- Mega Leg.

- It's this one.

- What is that? F?

- Yeah.

- Okay, okay. C-sharp. F-sharp.

Fortunately,

Derek has played piano,

uh, for most of his life.

So Derek's able

to read the keys,

and that's kind of how

we're memorizing the notes.

- This is A. Okay.

- Okay, that one.

Let's go!

Yes.

- We're in Petra!

- Petra!

This was your box, right, Derek?

Yes, that's exactly it.

You got it!

What are you playing right now?

What? Play it again. B.

It's C, F, G, D, C. That's five.

And then A, D, F,

G, B, E.

Okay, that's 11.

- Do you have to play 'em order?

- Yes.

Okay. Which one do you want?

I want the box with the chicken.

C, F, G, D.

Beautiful. Okay.

And then leg two was Austria.

Where's the flag?

- G.

- Yeah.

Beautiful.

Yes. Oh, thank you.

This is our last one.

Yeah, right here.

Here you go.

- Thank you.

- Thank you.

Come on, Emily.

Okay, ready?

Leg four was the statue.

Where's the statue

with the chisel?

- Uh, C, F

- It's over here.

- G, D.

- It's okay.

No.

- Okay, find the

- Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry.

We need to find the chisel.

That's the Citadel.

- Let's just find the chisel.

- B.

Okay. That's it. That's it.

C. Okay, C, F, G.

They just got here.

Go. Run this way.

- Michelle and Luis just showed up.

- Okay.

We just have to get this.

"Press the keys

to view the images."

- Okay.

- "When you think you're ready,

press the pedal

to lock in your answers."

We got their second place still,

so we could catch up.

And when I got there, I knew

that it was a memory challenge.

And I was like,

"I'm ready for this.

I know every single place."

You can test me and ask me

about places.

I know where everything is.

Now, the problem: we're not

musicians at all.

So we had this huge keyboard

that we had to press the keys,

and then the images pop up.

It was difficult.

Eleven images.

So you want to go one at a time?

Scorpions? We never saw that.

- Okay, you keep pressing them.

- Nope.

Volcano. Iceland.

Oh, my God.

Do you know where we're going?

- Oh, clue!

- We can go this way.

"Press keys

on the giant keyboard

"to find 11 images

of people, places and things

you've seen on your race

around the world."

-So, Munich. We got to do Munich. Munich.

-Munich.

Munich.

And then this is Iceland.

Oh, my God. It's a stick shift.

No idea how

to make this car move.

This was

- Do it again.

- One.

That one.

Okay. So, I'm gonna remember

the first five, baby.

Luis told me that

he wanted to do the first five.

- Yeah.

- So he was practicing on his own.

And then I started

learning the other ones.

And then we realized

when we pressed

the black thing to try it,

there's only 11 seconds.

But for Luis to run

and do the first five,

there was no way

- that he was gonna be able to do it.

- There was no way.

- So we had to change our strategy.

- Yeah.

- So, it was just tough.

- Try now.

- Okay, this is our attempt.

- This is our attempt.

- D.

- G, C, C, D.

- Okay. It's D-sharp.

What did you pick? Let's go.

It's not that, then.

Okay.

E, G, C

C, D.

That's not it.

That's not Petra.

- It is Petra.

- So we play all 11 of the notes,

and we think they're correct.

So we hit the pedal,

and we're putting them in,

and we start seeing X's.

- We're pretty sure that the photos are right.

- Yeah.

We're running out of time.

The time's counting down.

Oh.

We go through a couple of tries

before we realize,

"Oh, it's counting down.

We only have

11 seconds to do this."

That's one second per picture.

And this keyboard is huge.

Wait. Okay, wait.

- So we have to do it superfast, Claire.

- Okay.

Now it just became

a test of speed.

And you have to work in sync

to get all the keys

in under 11 seconds.

We need to figure it out,

so we can, like, jump on it.

Okay. B, G.

B, G, C.

I'm not sure if this is the D.

- It is. It is. It is.

- It is? Okay.

Ready? Munich.

That's right. Firenze.

Um, that was right.

This is really hard.

We weren't as fast

as I would have expected,

so there was a little bit

of stress that slowed us down.

I feel like

- Oh, my God.

- How is that possible?

Oh, I keep

hitting the wrong one.

No, no, no,

I have 'em here. It's this.

- Two, two, two.

- One, two?

- No. Two.

- Oh, no, no, no.

- No. Baby, baby.

- Oh, we missed this one then.

I did-- We did miss that one.

- We missed a lot of them.

- You got to go in order.

Sorry, sorry, sorry.

Is that yours or is that mine?

Um, we're.

Okay, let's just do something

wrong. All right, sorry, sorry.

Just can we just focus?

Oh, my God. Okay.

I'm sorry.

- Derek, can we just focus?

- Okay.

I know mine. I know mine.

- C.

- Nope.

Oh, God. I am stupid.

Okay.

You, you, me.

Sorry, I double-hit. Let's go.

Claire and I now know

the chronological order,

but we can't get 'em all

within the 11 seconds

without making a mistake.

All right, just be very careful.

So, we're trying to figure out,

like, kind of, like,

a zone defense now.

Claire's covering the right side

of the keyboard. I got

the left side of the keyboard.

We just have to get this.

We're so close. Okay.

Almost there.

- I went too fast.

- You got to wait for me.

I went too fast.

- Damn it.

- Oh, my God.

One, two

Baby, hold on.

There's more keys.

- There's more keys.

- Oh, my God.

Our strategy is to look at

all the pictures and

start getting them in order.

Then we notice the black keys

are pictures, too.

You got to be kidding me.

And once again,

we're not musicians.

Like, I know there's black keys,

but I just forgot to press 'em.

That set us back, you know?

So we had to start from scratch.

-Okay, that's fine. Let's start over.

-All right.

Oh, my God.

Almost there.

- I'm just forgetting every time we do it.

- It's okay.

- All right, ready?

- Ready?

Sorry. Sorry.

Claire: You. That's it.

That's it. That's it.

Oh, my God. Let's go.

- Come on, come on

- Come on. Let's go!

They got it.

That takes forever!

Unbelievable.

Thank you.

- Thank you so much.

- Thank you. Rip it.

"Route Info."

"Race to the finish line.

Make your way

to the Mother Church

of Country Music." Go, go, go.

This is the Ryman,

the Mother Church

of Country Music,

which formerly housed

the Grand Ole Opry

and will now serve

as the finish line

in this historicAmazing Race.

The first team

to arrive to this stage

will win $1 million and

The Amazing Race.

Go, go, go. Let's do it.

- Good luck, good luck.

- Good job, guys.

Let's go!

Just hurry. Hurry, Derek.

- Let's try it again.

- Okay.

Ready? I go first.

Go.

One more time.

Hopefully we'll get it.

Four. Five.

We just have to go faster.

- Oh, my gosh.

- Please, please, please.

They got it.

Concentrate. Focus. Let's go.

Oh, my God.

That was grueling. Thank you.

Oh, my God. Our last clue.

- Come on, Em.

- Can't give up.

Whatever. Let's keep doing it.

We got this. Go.

- Can you help me with directions?

- Yeah.

- Can you put something into your phone?

- Sure.

The Mother Church

of Country Music.

I know nothing

about country music.

- Can we ask somebody?

- Yep.

- Ryman Auditorium.

- We're so close.

Can we use your cell phone

to look something up?

Please. We're in a show

to win a million dollars,

and we're in a race,

and we're about to win.

All right.

- Fourth Ave. Okay.

- It's a big red building

Oh, thank you. Thank you.

Fourth Ave. Thank you so much.

- Broadway.

- Okay.

- Thank you so much.

- Thank you.

Okay.

- Oh, my God.

- This might be a footrace, Em.

Let's go. This is it!

Let's go.

- I need you to just push it.

- Okay.

- This is a lot of running.

- I'm so proud of you.

I'm sorry.

I just got a really bad cramp.

- It's okay. Can you walk?

- Yeah.

Oh! Oh, my God. Are you okay?

- Are you okay?

- Is this it? Is this it?

Ryman. Right here.

It's right here.

Let's go.

Yo! We made it!

Oh, my God.

I love you so much.

I love you so much.

I love you.

23 days,

eight countries, 16 cities.

Derek and Claire,

I am pleased to tell you

that you are the official

winners of The Amazing Race.

Congratulations.

- I love you.

- So, how does it feel

to have run with all these

competitive teams and to know

that you are the official

winners of the race?

This really feels like

one of the most

competitive seasons

of The Amazing Race, I mean,

I've ever been a part of

and definitely I've ever seen.

It's just such an honor

to be standing here with you

and all these great competitors.

It takes two

to get to the finish line.

It takes teamwork.

Derek was my rock

this entire race.

There's no one else in the world

that I would have

wanted to race with.

He is just

an amazing, amazing man,

and I'm so proud

to be standing next to him.

The reason I started

dating Claire in the first place

was she reminded me

of just, like,

how much

a human could be kindhearted.

I saw that

every single leg of the race.

Truthfully, we didn't even know,

like, how we were gonna

work together as a team.

And I think going

through all these legs together,

we learned so much about

how we can, uh,

really provide for each other

so that we can have

a stronger connection.

New relationship.

A nice financial kick to

the start of your relationship.

So, what's gonna happen now?

You know, there's something

I've been wanting

- No.

- I'm kidding.

He's kidding. He's kidding.

- Wow.

- I packed the bag.

I know there's no ring there.

Uh, you don't joke

about those things.

In all seriousness,

what is the future for you guys?

Really, this million dollars

is the first start

of our lives together.

Uh, we're planning on

getting an apartment,

- moving in together and figuring

out the rest of our lives.

- Mm-hmm.

I think this

gives a little feeling

of validation

to our relationship.

Claire and I

met on Big Brotherlast summer,

uh, and started dating

immediately.

And now

we're getting thrown into

this, like,

very stressful environment.

There were times where

I was like, "I'm not really sure

how we're gonna

make it out of this."

Even though life is gonna

give us very complicated things,

we're gonna be able

to work through it.

All right, let's try it again.

Two, three, four, five,

six, seven, eight,

nine, ten. Hit it.

- Yes!

- Got it!

We did it!

- Yes!

- Oh, my God.

That was exhausting.

Let's do it. Finish it.

Thank you. Thank you.

- Thank you.

- Appreciate you, man.

Good job, baby.

Let's go!

Here's the Ryman.

Is this it?

- Yes, this is it.

- Right here, right here.

We did it.

What an absolutely

incredible run you have had.

I just want to congratulate you.

I mean, against the odds,

again and again,

you just kept on going.

Nothing would stop you.

I'm running

this race with a woman

I just met a year ago.

She looks just like me,

and we just got second place.

- It's incredible.

- It's so amazing.

One last one.

I love you.

You've been

running with this leg.

I could not have done it

without this woman, though.

She really pushed me

and she took care of me.

I would have given up

many, many legs ago.

So I need that

for the rest of my life.

I needed her to be as successful

as I can be in this lifetime.

And I'm so happy

we found each other.

Wow.

-Thank you, Amazing Race. Everyone.

-Thank you. Thank you, everyone.

Cast, crew, like,

all of you guys.

Seriously, this-this

means the world to us.

Has anybody else got tears

in their eyes? 'Cause

The highlight for me

was the Pit Stops

and just rolling

on the floor, laughing.

We came into this race

knowing that

however far we got,

we were coming out winners.

We're coming out of this closer

than I ever dreamed we could be.

That is worth

More than a million.

- You certainly made up for lost time on this race.

- I was just gonna say.

- This had to make up for 36 years. Absolutely.

- Yes, we did. We did.

Yeah!

Yeah!

Yeah!

Luis and Michelle,

you ran a really tough race

right up to the end.

We're so happy to be here,

even if we got third.

First leg, I was like,

"How are we even

gonna get to top three?"

And just to be here,

I'm just so happy.

It was this year in January,

we were watching season 33

and she looked me and she said,

"How great would it be

if we go on Amazing Race

right before we start a family?"

I was like, "Let's do it.

Let's have a great time."

And to come this far, it just

I'm so lucky to meet all of you.

To meet everybody.

-I love you all. I love all you guys.

-I love you guys.

Michelle, obviously,

you've got a partner who

- He's got a lot of energy, this man.

- Yes. I love it.

Since the day I met him,

he has made me laugh.

He's the life of the party,

and that's what

we wanted to do in the race.

Enjoy each other.

Enjoy the race.

- I got to give props to my beautiful wife right here, Phil.

- Yes, please.

- She is my soulmate.

- Stop.

She is my

She's-she's my partner in crime.

I love this woman so much.

If I wasn't married to her,

I'd get down on my knee

and marry her again.

I just love her.

We didn't win the million bucks,

- but we have so many memories.

- Yes.

Our future son,

future daughter, they'll say,

- "Hey, look how cool your parents are."

- Yeah.

It was such a great adventure.

All right,

come on up, everybody.

Our relationship has only

grown stronger and stronger,

and I didn't even think

that it could be any stronger

than what it already was.

And, like, I love this guy,

and I'm so happy

that I did it with him.

Mm

Mwah.

You know, we got time

together that we otherwise

never would have had.

We have a lot

to continue to learn

about one another,

but we're so happy

- we came. Yeah.

- I'm so happy we did this.

I think, you know, this is

maybe, like, our TV

happily ever after, uh,

but really, this is just

the second chapter

of our relationship together,

and hopefully we still have

a really long book to go.
