- I'm looking for Nick, have you seen him?

then you can try to find us Whitney.

- All right, Nick stamp your foot and count to three.

Now Beth, touch your toes and count to four.

- Oops, Beth, you forgot to say "Barney, may I?".

- I always forget.

Now Whitney, turn in circles and count to five.

- Barney, may I?

- [Kids] Barney, may I?

- You come and find us.

I know that because that's how old I am.

And then, wait, oh wait a minute,

I forgot where I was.

Wait a minute, I'm all mixed up.

What comes next?

This isn't so easy.

Barney, this is very hard.

I need some help.

- Oh well, what's wrong Baby Bop?

- Well, I can't play this game

because I don't know how to count to .

- Maybe we should play a different game Baby Bop.

- But I want to play hide and seek.

- Then you hide and Nick can be the one to find us.

- Yeah, I can count to .

- I wish I could too.

- Oh, would you like to learn?

We'd be glad to help you.

(children agreeing)

- What's a good way to teach Baby Bop her numbers?

- Hm, well, oh why don't we start with a number rhyme?

Rhymes are a great way

to help you remember things.

- Um Barney, I think you better do that again.

- [Barney] Okay.

and help with the shopping.

- Oh shopping is a great way

to learn about numbers and counting.

- Maybe we can take Baby Bop to the store

so she can practice counting.

- Why don't we set up some pretend shops in the caboose?

(everyone cheering)

- I'll be a shop keeper.

- [Girls] Me too.

- [Barney] That's a great idea.

(slow whimsical music)

- I have my purse and some pretty coins.


I'm ready to go shopping Barney.

- Oh, where would you like to start?

- Um, let me see, oh there.

- Oh, okay.

- Oh I want to buy a hat.

I like hats.

- I know you do.

- Good day, may I help you?

- I'd like to buy a hat please.

- Take a look, I have plenty to choose from.

- Oh, yes you do.

Look at all of those.

Oh and this, oh that's cute.

Oh, looky, I want the princess hat.

Oh it's so pretty.

How much does it cost Barney?

- This sign says that each hat costs five coins.

- Uh oh, I can't count that high.

- Look Baby Bop, there are five jewels on the hat.

- Oh, that's right.

Let's try counting them together.

- [Everyone] One, two, three, four, and five.

- Oh, very good.

- Now, I can help you count five coins.

- Okay, here let me get them out of my pretty purse.

There they are.

Here we go.

- [Baby Bop And Nick] One, two, three, four, five.

- You did it Baby Bop.

- Should I put your hat in the bag?

- Oh no, I want to wear it now please.

- I'll help you put it on.

- Okay.

- [Nick] There you go.

- Oh why Baby Bop, you look just like a princess.

- Thank you Barney.

- Oh another store.

- Let's go, more shopping, yeah.

- Oh, um, well thank you and goodbye.

- You're welcome.

- [Barney] Oh wait for me.

- Welcome to my bookstore.

- I see lots and lots of good books.

I wish I could read all of them.

- Oh, that's a lot of books.
