- Are you ready?

- We sure are Jackson.

- One, two, three...

- [Barney] Woah, here we go.

- BJ, world famous detective, is on the job.

All I need is a good mystery to solve.

A-ha, a mystery!

There's something big and purple behind that tree.

What could it be?

- I found you Barney.

I found you too Sophie.

- Aw, man.

- Oh, you're both very good hide and seekers.

- [Both Kids] Thanks Barney.

- Hide and seek!

(giggles) I knew that.

- Oh, hi there BJ.

- [Both Kids] Hey BJ. - Hi guys.

- Oh, are you doing some detective work?

- Yes, but I need a good case.

- [Baby Bop] Hey, hey what are you doing?

That's mine!

- That sounds like Baby Bop.

- Oh, sounds like another mystery to solve.

- Let's go see what's the matter.

Okay, come on.

- [Baby Bop] My goodness gracious, Barney!

- Is something wrong Baby Bop?

- Something took a big bite out of my apple.

See?

- [Barney] I do.

- A-ha, a mystery!

Detective BJ is on the case.

Now tell me, was it a big animal?

Or, a small one?

- It was very big.

- This case is solved.

Sissy's apple was eaten by...

an elephant!

- Well it wasn't that big BJ.

- No, then it was...

a mouse.

- Well no, it wasn't that little.

- Well it was some kind of wild beast,

and I'm going to find it.

- You mean like a lion?

- Or a tiger?

- Or a bear?

- Oh my.

- Oh brother.

- I don't think we have those animals in the park.

But if we use our imaginations,

and pretend we're on a jungle adventure,

we'll see all sorts of things (laughs).

♪ We're going on a jungle adventure

♪ To see what we can see

♪ There's a lion and a tiger

♪ And a great big monkey, swingin' on the branch of a tree

♪ It looks like a chimpanzee

♪ Oh, here in the jungle you can hear the lions roar

♪ Rhinoceros and tigers and so much more

♪ Hear the snakes hissing in the grass below

♪ See the silly monkeys putting on a show

♪ The jungle is the place to go

♪ We're going on a jungle adventure

♪ To see what we can see

♪ There's a great big elephant taking a bath

♪ Getting clean as he can be

♪ I hope he doesn't step on me

♪ Oh, here in the jungle you can hear the lions roar

- I know I can solve this mystery

if I can just find some clues.

- Well, we know the animal likes healthy snacks

because it ate Baby Bop's apple.

- And, I think it has brown fur.

- A-ha, another clue.

- No, no wait.

It had white fur.

Oh no, no, no, no, brown and white fur.

- I see, can you think of any other clues?

- Well I don't know BJ.

I just heard something nibble my apple,

and when I turned around,

it hopped away.

- A-ha, the nibbling beast likes to hop.

- Oh, very good Detective BJ.

Can you think of any animals that like to hop?

I know you can.

♪ A fat green frog on a bright blue day

♪ Doesn't need fancy toys to play

♪ He bends down low, then jumps up high

♪ Now pretend that you're a froggy bouncing by

♪ And hop, hop, hop, hippity hop

♪ It's so much fun, you just can't stop

♪ Everybody's happy when they hop

♪ Way down under lives a kangaroo

♪ She takes much bigger hops than others do

♪ She bends down low, then jumps up high

♪ Now pretend that you're a kangaroo bouncing by

♪ It's so much fun, you just can't stop

♪ Everybody's happy when they hop

♪ Did you ever see a little bitty bunny run

♪ The way he gets around is a lot of fun

- [Dinosaurs] Bye now! Buh-bye!

- Okay, so this furry brown and white animal

likes healthy snacks and it hops.

- Oh, and it has long ears.

- A-ha, the mystery is solved.

- Your apple was eaten by...

a kangaroo.

- [Both] A kangaroo?

- Well, yeah.

Kangaroos are brown and white,

and they have long ears, and they hop.

- But BJ--

- A-ha, elementary my dear sissy.

I'll find that hopping snack nabber.

- Okay.

- Barney, do you think it was a kangaroo?

- Maybe it would help if we looked at some animal pictures.

- Oh yeah.

- Okay, here's the picture of the kangaroo.

- [Baby Bop] Well it does have long ears.

- And it hops.

- But the animal I saw had a small fluffy tail.

- [Barney] Like this rabbit?

They like healthy snacks,

and they hop, and have long ears,

and small fluffy tails.

- Oh, that's almost it Barney.

But the one I saw had droopy ears.

- Okay, droopy ears then.

Oh, like these bunnies?

- [Baby Bop] Oh, yes!

- They're called lop eared rabbits.

They're usually someone's pets.

- Oh, no.

Well the one I saw might be lost.

- Maybe we should try to find it.

- Okay let's go.

Come on.

- It's very important to take care of your pets.

Let's see how some of our friends

take care of their pets.

♪ Our hamsters and bunnies and turtles

♪ Our fishes and frogs

Oh Barney I don't see it anywhere.

- I think I know a way to find it.

Do you have any more of those healthy snacks?

- Well yes, are you hungry?

- No, but the bunny might be.

- Oh, okay.

- [Barney] I think these apples will be great.

A banana.

- [Baby Bop] A carrot for the bunny.

- Okay, we placed snacks at different places

all over the park.

- Yeah.

Oh look, the rabbit is back!

(both giggle with joy)

Well hello Mr. Bunny are you lost?

- Oh he's hungry, that's for sure.

- Oh, sissy I have good news.

I've looked everywhere, and the kangaroo is gone.

Your snacks are safe.

- Well shh BJ, you'll scare the bunny.

- What bunny?

- This one.

The one who ate my snacks.

- The one who,

oh bunny, I knew that.

- Hi Barney, hi everybody.

- [All] Hi there.

- Hey have you seen, Flopsy!

There you are.

Thanks for finding him.

- You're very welcome.

- Do you call him Flopsy because of his floppy ears?

- That's right.

- Very good Detective BJ.

His ears do hang low, don't they?

- [Baby Bop] Yeah.

(strange clanging sound)

Woah, what's that sound?

- I don't know.

It's sort of strange isn't it?

It's kind of mysterious too.

- Here's Barney, maybe he knows what it is.

- Oh hi Amy, hi Brian.

- [Brian] Hey Barney.

- Good to see you.

- Hi Barney.

(strange clanging sound)

Did you hear that Barney?

- Well, I certainly did.

What is that mysterious sound?

- We were going to ask you.

(strange clanging sound)

- I have never heard anything like that before.

Hmm, who do we know who knows all about sound?

- [Both] Riff!

- Oh, of course.

Maybe he can help us solve the mystery.

Come on.

- [Brian] Let's go.

- Hey guys, what are you doing?

- Hi Riff. - Oh hi there Riff.

- We just heard the most mysterious sound out here.

- We thought you could help us find out what it is.

It clinked and clanked sort of like--

(strange clanging sound)

- [All] That.

- A mystery?

Sounds like a job for...

Detective Riff!

- Oh boy!

Oh of course a detective can always use some helpers.

- Oh, that would be great.

(strange clanging sound)

There it is again, it's time to solve this mystery.

- What should we do first Riff?

- Well the first thing to do, is listen.

- Okay.

♪ We can listen to the sound of a frog in the water

(frogs croaking)

♪ Listen to a mommy talking to her daughter

- Come on Clare, let's go.

♪ Listen to the animals playing in the woods

♪ And listen to the sounds of our neighborhood

♪ And listen to the sounds of our neighborhood

♪ Listen to the sounds of the day and night

(various sounds)

♪ We listen with our ears, that's right

♪ That's right

♪ If we tried to listen with our eyes and nose

♪ Tried to listen with our fingers and toes

♪ We'd be all mixed up and never hear a thing

♪ We couldn't hear a bell ringing ding ding ding

(knocking noise)

- Hey, everybody listen.

- Now it sounds different.

- I wonder what could be making it.

- Well I don't know, but um,

I think it's coming over here, yeah.

- Okay.

(clanging sound)

- There it is again.

- Now it sounds different again.

- A-ha it's coming from the shed.

Come on, let's go check it out.

- Okay, here we go.

- Now, Detective Riff will solve the baffling mystery.

(clanging sound)

- Hi everybody, hi Barney.

- [All] Hi.

- So you're the mystery?

- Well, whatcha doin' Noah?

- I'm collecting cans to recycle.

- [All] Bye.

- Was that the sound we were looking for Riff?

- Well, that's a great question Amy.

- Man this is gonna be awesome.

I know Riff's gonna like it,

if I ever finish building it.

- Can you tell where it's coming from Riff?

- Oh, I think it's in the caboose.

Come on guys, let's go check it out.

Aw, there's nothing in here.

I can't find whatever it is that's making the sound.

- Don't give up yet Riff,

sometimes it takes a little time to solve a big mystery.

- But I tried Barney, and I couldn't do it.

- I believe you can Riff.

(strange clanging sound)

- There it is again.

- Whatever it is, it's close.

- Oh you're right Brian.

What should we do Riff?

- Sounds like it's outside.

Come on, let's go.

- Okay.

Oh, I can't wait to see.

- What, BJ?

- [All] Hi BJ.

- Hi guys.

- Wowzer, what is this BJ?

- It's a wind chime Riff.

I made it for ya.

Pretty cool, huh?

Check this out, when the wind blows,

it makes music all by itself.

- [Riff] Oh this totally tippity top BJ.

- It's like you always say,

you can music with anything.

- [Riff] I do say that don't I?

- Yeah ya do.

- [Riff] Alright, break it down.

♪ Take a metal can, turn it upside-down

♪ Pound on it like it's a drum, listen to the sound

♪ You can take two cups, add a little rice

♪ Now doesn't that sound nice
