03x12 - Best Laid Plans

Post by bunniefuu »

This really is the middle
of nowhere, isn't it?

Yeah, well, consider it a gift.

No passing cars means no witnesses.

No one to send up a flare to Grey Flag.

This is bad.

We're already on thin
ice with Captain James,

and now we've laid
two dead bodies at his feet.

One that's connected to Grey Flag...

- ... and the other that's...
- And one that is directly

connected to me. Yeah.

There's no coming back
from this, is there?

I guess...

... we shouldn't have run down
theories behind his back,

no, but we've looped him in now.

You know, we-we didn't
ask for permission...

But we're gonna beg for forgiveness.

Cap.

Trey.

Hey.

Wait... What are you... ?

What do we got, Cap?

It's Hyde.

What?

Wait-wait-wait, okay,
hold-hold on a second.

Hyde-Hyde, what?

It's Andrew Hyde.

A-Andrew Hyde?

Who's Andrew Hyde?

Trey's way into Grey Flag.

Or at least he was.

We got a lot to talk about.

Yeah.

The Feds provided this house so
we can work the Grey Flag case,

steer clear of any

Fenton-type moles at HQ.

All right, C-Cap?

Why didn't you tell Cassie and me?

What, you think we're too close to it?

I was ordered to exclude you both.

You...

Sean had done recon on Cassie,

abducted you and your brother.

Look, I-I actually wanted to tell you.

You're two of my best, you know that,

but FBI wouldn't bend.

Yeah, until tonight.

All right, so here's where we're at:

Trey has gone under
to infiltrate Grey Flag.

Wait, what?

His insubordination,

his DPS hearing and f*ring...

it was all an act.

And it was a pretty damn good one,

if I do say so myself.

Uh, sorry,

how long has this plan been underway?

Well, our old friend
Federal Agent Tessa Graves

reached out right after Cordell's run-in

with the Grey Flag chemist.

We thought that att*ck
was the end of them,

but FBI spotted pockets of activity

resembling their MO across the country.

We're talking nationwide now?

No, they're not really organized yet.

But, uh, underground chatter

named Texas as the home base.

Feds suspected they were still operating

in the shadows.

That's when they called
to set up a meeting.

Undercover mission was
approved on Thanksgiving.

- Thanksgiving?
- After the storm cleared,

Trey and I met with the Feds.

By then, we knew

Trey had to be the one,
the only one, read in on this,

especially after Cassie let it slip

that you two opened up
the Grey Flag evidence.

But, look, that is what it is, right?

And we are where we are,

and now that we're here, the four of us

need to act like one Ranger,

all right?

Right hand always knows
what the left hand's doing,

and vice versa.

The lies, the defiance, the secrets,

it's... in the past.

Well, not exactly that far in the past

since you just told us ten seconds ago.

And, uh,

you're cool with this, you're solid?

I got this, Cass. I mean,
I've held my own

around guys like this
back when I served.

But at the end of the day,

it's... it's Cap's call.

Yeah, right.

Yeah, Cap's call.

And, uh, now we know

we're all in the same
circle of trust together.

All right, Tommy Adams

was off the grid for, like, years.

How'd you guys find his place?

Julia, Julia Johnson.

She had a source

who knew how to locate Tommy.

She's in D.C. right now.

She'll be headed back soon.

- Julia Johnson, huh?
- Yeah.

You still in contact with her?

Uh, yes, sir.

All right, reach out to her,

see if she turned over
any new Grey Flag stones

while she was gone.

No need to mention Trey.

You realize this means that
what Tommy told me is correct?

Someone is hunting my Marine unit.

And not just someone,
but it seems to be Grey Flag.

- Yeah.
- And now there's just one left.

Yeah, me, so I'm the last one
on their hit list.

But wait, if Grey Flag wanted you dead,

why not just ice you when they
had you chained up at Westvale?

I don't know. All I know is
that whatever they want,

uh, it certainly includes
a personal vendetta against me.

Yeah.

Which is why our support for Trey

needs to come at a safe distance,

especially yours, Walker,
and that's an order.

Look, you're too close
to the whole thing, man.

Contact Julia, see what
she knows. You can help out

without making everybody else a target.

Captain's orders. You got it.

Okay. Listen, any Intel

that can affect this operation
needs to be shared

immediately and completely.

Right hand, left hand.

Do we all copy that?

Copy.

Yes, sir.

Copy.

All right.

Oh, thank you.

Hey.

Open it, Cassie.

- What's it say?
- "For the boot:

Oswald - - - Springdale".

Okay, what does that mean?

- - - . : .

It's m*llitary time. It's : a.m.

"For the boot". Boot
is slang for "recruit".

Yeah.

Whoever's texting Andrew

must be referring to Trey, so that...

That means that this is the instructions

for Trey's first Grey Flag assignment.

Okay, so we got a time

and we have a street... Springdale.

Let me check this street real quick.

Springdale Road.

It's a pretty big street.

Now, "Oswald".

As in...

- Lee Harvey?
- Lee Harvey Oswald.

Dealey Plaza, sh*t JFK
from a book depository.

Check if there are any
on Springdale Road.

Or, uh, libraries, more likely.

All right, I'm on it.

Search libraries on Springdale Road.

Yeah. There's one library
on Springdale Road,

and it's been abandoned since .

Well, that's got to be the place.

Tomorrow, while Walker's with Julia,

Cassie and I will keep an eye on Trey.

- All right.
- Okay.

All right. Hey, um, as someone
who's been under before,

just do what's best for the case.

Don't get attached to anyone.

You'd be surprised how
a sad story can pull you in.

All right. Appreciate that, Walker.

- You got it.
- Yeah.

All right, everybody,
get some sleep tonight.

Tomorrow is day one. Fresh start,

clean slates.

Let's do it.

Isn't Biscuit just the cutest?

Aw, the sweetest, too.

Uh, Stella, why are you here so early?

God, the option to sleep in

is completely wasted on you.

Early risers get first pick
of breakfast meats.

Aw, dang it.

Yeah, there's extra bacon in the oven.

I asked Stella to come here to help me

work on the look-book
for the horse rescue.

Yeah, it's going to have each
horse's story and profile

and then some basic care
instructions for beginners.

Yeah, can I take a look
at these instructions?

Now that I've got
a stake in this venture,

I'd sure like to make sure
that everything's squared away.

Now, I have all the paperwork.

I can put a laminated copy
in the binder.

Well, I think your dad
just wants to make sure

that you have a clear vision

of what you want to accomplish

with this Walker Rescues venture.

I want people to feel fulfilled

when they take care of the horses,

like I did when I was doing

community service at the horse stables.

Wasn't that court-mandated?

Way to miss the point.

Yes, and I would like
to show how powerful

equine therapy can actually be.

Chelsea and Donna
both had different methods,

but maybe we could hire them

as remote consultants to
further shape our programming.

We have the funds for that?

We're gonna put a donation
button on our website.

Yeah, because who wouldn't
donate to a horse charity?

It's about humans helping horses.

And horses helping humans.

We can throw together a pitch

and make a list
of organizations to approach.

You know, I'd be happy

to help you craft a mission statement.

You may only get one chance
to get a yes,

and so you got to be
effective and focused.

You do realize that I was on

a few non-profit boards, right?

And you guys should
do something really cool

or crazy that makes you unforgettable.

You know, I think it'd be sick

if you guys threw, like,
a-a photo booth for horses.

You know, have big props

like big sunglasses and
mustaches to put on the horses.

Why would you put a mustache on a horse?

Uh, it was just...

You guys are enemies of innovation.

Coming.

- Hi. Come in.
- Hey.

Thought about bringing flowers,

then I felt like it wasn't exactly

your vibe, but I didn't

want to come empty-handed, so...

- a sandwich.
- Sandwich.

For me?

Thank you.

I'm sorry about Tommy.

Yeah, yeah. Uh, me, too.

Can I, uh,

get you something to drink?

- I'm good, thanks.
- Okay.

So, uh, when'd you get back from D.C.?

Late last night.

I linked up with
a friend at the Pentagon

- about Tommy's theories.
- Yeah?

He's leaving a USB drive
for me at our dead drop.

Miscellaneous files on your unit.

Just like that?

So...

he's just leaving you
all this without question?

He owes me.

And I told him I'm writing
a story to expose the truth.

Journalism is kind of
punk rock that way.

No rules,

all justice.

All justice?

Not sure all journalists
share your philosophy.

You're not wrong,

And I'm not even sure
what'll be on those files.

Could be key evidence

or could be a whole lot of trash.

Right. Well, either way, uh,

I'm not really looking forward
to revisiting my past, you know.

At least not that part of it.

'Cause of your mission over there?

Uh, Coop's death.

Coop's death did a number on me.

Uh, you know, I'd never had someone

so close to me die.

Especially not the way he d*ed.

You were just a -something kid.

Yeah, I know, but

even with Tommy, I mean,

he and I hadn't talked in however long,

and it all just came back, you know?

Like, uh, like I was back there.

I'm not

sure why I'm telling you all this.

Well, I've been told
that I'm a good listener.

I guess in your line of work,
you'd have to be.

Julia,

I am choosing to trust you.

Enough to believe that you're genuinely

trying to help me find anything
to take Grey Flag down.

I can't promise those files
will be remotely helpful,

but I promise I do want to help.

And not out of pity, but because

no rules, all justice, you know?

That, plus you don't need
to hear my sad stories.

Please, I've heard a million.

Even, uh, lived a few, too.

Morse code?

Like when we met, in captivity?

Too soon?

Just trying to be of some comfort.

Anyway, don't you
think we're past the point

of speaking in code?

Yeah.

"Dropped". Let's go.

Let's go.

Ah, Mr. Golden. It's good to see you.

Hey there, August Walker.
Mind giving me a hand?

- Yeah, sure thing.
- Thanks, dude.

I didn't realize that you were the one

throwing the BYOB event today.

Oh, yeah, just a casual mixer
for some key players

in some non-profits and foundations.

It's a breezy way to score
endorsements for the mayor.

Favors are currency, after all.

"Favors are currency".

I've never thought about it that way.

Speaking of favors,

are you sure you don't
want me to see what I can do

to help expedite your bar's
liquor license paperwork?

Okay, personally, I would love that,

but, um, yeah, my dad's
just been real strict

about following the TABC's process,

same as every other business.

Dad's a little stubborn, huh?

Yeah. Yeah, he, uh, can be,

but I'm used to it.

It's just a part of being
a Ranger's son, I guess.

Yeah, well, just because that's
how things are always done

doesn't make 'em suck any less, huh?

Yeah. Yeah.

Hey, is, uh, is Cassie coming around?

If she is, I got to warn
the guys in the back

to keep the queso flowing.

You know, I don't think so.

Cassie and I stopped seeing each other.

Ah, dude, I'm...

I'm really sorry about that.

Breakups are the worst, you know?

I'm not sure you can call it a breakup

if we never officially started.

Hey, a relationship is a relationship

if it was real to you, right?

I've never thought of it that way.

Fortunately, work's been keeping me

pretty busy, you know?

Distractions and all that?

Yeah, yeah. Um...

Hey, my sister and my uncle,

they're-they're looking for donors

to get their horse therapy
business off the ground,

and I was, I was wondering if-if maybe

I could invite them by.

Yeah, of course.

Happy to make introductions.

Awesome.

You must be Trey Barnett,
Andrew's security consultant?

Yeah, that's me.

Lana Jones. Pleasure.

Dial for the boss.

It's the only number in there.
The only one we need.

High praise from Andrew.

He mentioned you're itching
to get back in action

after the Rangers put you on ice.

Yeah, those white hats
wouldn't know talent

if it roundhouse-kicked
them in the head.

Well, Andrew swore you can handle

much higher-level work
than being lookout,

but higher-ups want to know
you're not above simple tasks.

A test of ego.

There's no ego here. I'm your lookout.

k*ller.

Any questions?

- No.
- Good,

'cause that was another test.

All right, all you have to do now

is just keep watch while I go inside,

deal with some buddies.

If things go awry,

handle accordingly.

All right, sounds easy enough.

Didn't think Trey's
first play undercover

would be turning his neck
degrees every six seconds.

Yes, I am so glad we've got

these security cameras to
capture every precious moment.

Hey, um,

it's not lost on me

that what Trey and I have been doing

smells a lot like what Miles
and Fenton put you through.

When you brought me on,

you said you would
always be straight up.

It's why I put the badge back on.

I really did want to
read you guys in sooner.

FBI shut it down.

And then, after you got caught...

... lying, um, I couldn't
really defend you, you know?

Yeah, I know, I get it.

I know I can be a little enthusiastic.

Just a smidge, you think?

No, your out-of-the-box
thinking is an asset.

It really is.

Just, you know, before you spring

one of your out-of-the-box plans,

give me a heads-up.

All right, I think I can manage that.

Your vision for Walker Rescues
aligns perfectly

with our organization's efforts,

and I love how it touches
each generation

in your household.

That really says something
about your values.

Well, we're a very tight-knit
family, Georgia.

I'll draw up your grant paperwork

when I'm back in the office.

Expect to hear from me next week.

Thank you so much.

- Of course.
- Yeah, thank you. Very excited

- to get started on all this, yeah.
- Absolutely.

- Take care.
- Thanks.

- Congratulations, you two.
- Golly.

Listen, I'm glad you got
the right funding

to follow through with your plans.

I'm proud of you both.

Honestly, Gramps, you might
have been our secret w*apon.

Yeah, she really liked that
every generation was involved.

Yeah, well,

the presentation that Mawline helped

- you two craft didn't hurt.
- Let's grab some drinks, Bon.

I think this deserves a toast.

Shirley Temples all the way around?

- Yeah, sounds good.
- Yes.

Yeah, all right.

Hey, great job today.

You, too.

And I was thinking we could
use the donation money

to get some rehab equipment
for the horses.

I bet we could find a good deal
on vibration plates.

Or a solarium, if we
really wanted to splurge.

Or I think a better use of the funds

might be to hire those
consultants so we can offer

equine therapy sooner than later.

The horses need their
therapy, too, though.

Understood, but there's
a way to go about that.

You know, I had a whole
team managing my budget

for my D.A. campaign.
I picked up some stuff.

I could go through
our potential spending

and divide the funds accordingly.

Okay, but...

I thought we were equal partners.

As in, we're going to talk
about all this,

- right?
- Right.

Because it feels like
you're just deciding

what to do with the money right now.

Everything okay?

We're-we're just talking.

We're just trying to
figure out how we can get

what we want out of this, that's all.

I thought we were on the same page,

but, I don't know, maybe I wasn't

being realistic or something.

No, no, it's all possible, it's just...

I think we just need to figure it out.

Th-There's nothing wrong
with having differing passions.

Look, your granddad
is already helping you

with the horse part of Walker Rescues.

Why don't you let me
help out on the people part?

You know, I can take on operations,

budgeting, organizing,

what have you,

which will give you a chance to focus on

your shared vision,

whatever that evolves into.

And, yes, mission statements can change.

Well, that sounds good, right?

I mean, I think it is
important to remember

why we started this in the first place.

We wanted to help people.

Horses and humans.

Welcome aboard, Mawline.

Thank you.

- Cheers.
- Cheers.

I know Coop was important to you.

He was important to his family, too.

It might be nice to have that
conversation with Ms. Cooper.

You know, share some memories of him.

My memories of Coop
and our time in Afghanistan

haven't really left such
a nice feeling lately.

This is the spot.

Okay. All clear.

Guess we're headed down memory lane.

Okay.

Wow. Okay. You weren't kidding.

Uh, how-how did your source,
uh, get all this?

Couldn't tell you.

It's going to take a while

to decrypt them all
before we can see them.

Okay.

But I've got an idea
how we could k*ll time.

Where did you say
Ms. Cooper lives again?

I-I don't think she wants to see me

as much as you think she does.

Why don't we just try, you know?

You could show up, see how it goes.

Not empty-handed, though.

Bringing a gift always helps. Here.

- What, like a sandwich?
- Funny.

Let's look at her socials,
see what she likes.

All right.

Oh.

What?

She d*ed?

Last week, it says.

She went gently in her sleep
from natural causes.

She was... .

I guess we can add that

to the list of things I won't
be able to make right.

Why don't you say what
you wanted to say aloud?

Like, if she was here right now,

what would you say?

I don't know. That's the problem.

I mean, not that there's anything

I could say to her right now,

but even when she was with us,

and I went to her house with Cassie

to speak with her, I guess I thought

I would just walk in
and look her in the eyes

and talk with her about her son.

I blanked. I guess I froze.

Couldn't do it.

If you didn't freeze...

if you had a chance, what would you say?

Okay, um...

I would say...

I'd talk to her about Coop's flag.

I'd tell her why I kept it
all those years.

You know, it was the only

personal item left afterwards,

and, uh...

our unit would take it
on missions with us,

you know, to-to keep his memory alive.

It even got burnt
in an att*ck months later,

but I still kept it.

I-I held on to it. I didn't
want to leave it behind.

I didn't want to leave him
behind, you know?

Um...

And then, when I got back stateside

with it...

I hid it away

because...

Yeah, I've put away plenty of things.

Hiding them from myself

but keeping them to remember, to relive.

It's one way to cope, I guess.

But it was wrong of me

to keep that flag when
it should have gone

to Coop's next of kin.
It was selfish of me.

I lost a friend, yes, sure.

I lost my mentor,

but Ms. Cooper

lost a son.

There's closure we get ourselves,

and there's closure we...

give ourselves.

Sometimes that's got to be good enough.

Lana, Lana, hey, what happened?

What happened? Are you okay?

You just never know
when these type of guys

might blow up.

But don't worry, I got my sh*ts in.

Is the product in hand?

Hey, Lana, Lana-Lana got the briefcase,

but she caught a b*llet.
If I don't get her

to a hospital, she's gonna bleed out.

We need that briefcase in the next hour.

Sombra Heights.

Hey! Wha...

Damn it.

Lana, Lana, stay with me.

Stay with me, all right?
I've just got to find something

to stop this, uh, to stop the bleeding.

Then we're gonna have
to figure out the rest later.

Do what you got to do, boot.

Hey, hey.

Trey doesn't have anything
to stop the bleeding.

What are you doing?

We both know he's
not going to let her die.

Perez, where are you going?

Cap, I have an out-of-the-box impulse

to run out there and bring this to Trey.

Any objections?

Hand off the gauze, come right back.

- Come right back.
- Yes, sir.

Sir. Sir, is she okay?

Do you need any assistance?

Yeah, she's good,
she's good. I got this.

Cass.

Who's sh**ting?

Hey, no, no, no, don't worry about it.

Nobody's sh**ting, okay?

You just focus on breathing.

- Are you hit?
- It's just a graze.

How bad is it?

- Let me see.
- It's fine, Cap.

It just grazed me.
The vest took most of it.

It looks worse than it is.

We got lucky.

We got very lucky.

Cap, I'm sorry,

I would have come right back

if it wasn't for the rogue sh**t.

Thanks.

Never should've let you go out there.

Hey.

I knew what the risks were.
Don't take this on.

Do we have any idea who the sh**t was?

I'm checking the database right now

for matching facial features.

Okay.

Just like that, we got a hit.

- Yeah?
- Chris Wayne.

Chris Wayne. I know that name.

Yeah, he was busted a couple times

for selling C- on the black market.

C- ?

That must be what Lana
meant when she said

these guys might blow up.

So, it could be that
the briefcase Trey's delivering

to Grey Flag is filled with C- .

- Hey.
- Hey.

Here.

Oh, thank you.

Of course.

You, uh... okay?

Yeah, you okay?

Yeah, yeah, of course. Yeah.

Um, okay. Um, yeah.

We're okay.

I mean, in the grand scheme of things,

we are most likely not okay as people.

- Fair. Right.
- But you and I, just now?

Yeah, we're good.

Good.

Well, look at that. Talk about timing.

I guess the files are decrypted.

Want an exclusive sneak peek?

I, um... I-I do, but I should

probably wait to go through it
with the rest of the team.

Captain's orders. Right
hand, left hand, all that.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

Okay, you planning to write an exposé?

I wouldn't jeopardize your case.

Maybe after you end Grey Flag for good.

It'd be one hell of a story.

Yeah.

Julia, um...

... thanks for today.

I mean, thanks for,

you know, listening to my sad truths.

Don't mention it.

Happy to listen and...

all of it.

But I bet there are
other people in your life

that want to hear your
sad truths all the same.

I'll see you.

You made it.

Cutting it close.

Yeah. Well, uh,

I hit the car pool lane.

Something came up.

- She got hit?
- Yeah.

How is she even okay right now?

I wondered the same thing.

Barnett just came prepared,
combat gauze and all.

Yeah. Uh...

Once a medic, always a medic huh?

Yeah.

Couldn't ask for a better lookout.

That's impressive, Barnett.

The boss is gonna hear about this.

I wouldn't be surprised

if you get an invite up to the compound.

We'll be in touch.

Absolutely.

Cass? Cassie, hey.

What happened?

Trey's mission went
a little off the rails.

A b*llet grazed me,

- but I-I'm fine, seriously.
- A b...

- Cap...
- Walker?

I'm fine.

What'd you find?

Okay. All right.

Well, um, uh, Julia's source

dropped some files
on my old Marine unit,

so if Grey Flag is coming after me,

something here might tell us why.

Okay. That's perfect. I'll check it out.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

Oh, um, actually, um...

Can I talk to you about something?

- Uh...
- Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

- Come on.
- Yeah, yeah.

I just wanted to talk to you about, um,

when we went to visit
Coop's mom's house.

Okay. Do you want to sit?

Sure, sure. Um...

So...

I-I didn't...

actually speak with her.

I-I didn't even see her.

When I was in there, in her living room,

with pictures of Coop everywhere,

I...

I don't know, I-I couldn't figure out

what I could possibly say

to change the facts of what happened,

so I... I left.

I left the flag there.

Why did you feel like
you couldn't tell me that?

I think I have an idea.

I think I was, um...

I think I was ashamed.

I...

I am ashamed.

- Oh.
- On...

our final mission together,

Coop, uh, gave an order
that separated him

from the rest of the unit.

I-I didn't agree with it,
but I stood down.

You know, he was my commanding officer,

even though he was the one

that always was riding
me to trust my gut,

- I-I stood down.
- You were following orders.

I get it.

And when Coop was separated from us,

he held off enemy fire, um,

as long as he could.

And then there was an expl*si*n.

Uh...

And Coop was k*lled.

He never made it home.

Which is why the flag was so important.

And I-I-I didn't tell you.

I didn't know how to tell you,

but I-I wanted you to know.
I want you to know.

You know, same page, all that.

Yeah, same page.

And I know how you feel about secrets...

This is something that
you had to deal with

in your own way, in your own time.

Is there anything else
you wanted to tell me?

I'm sorry, Cass.

No, we're good, partner.

- Hi.
- There he is, man of the hour.

Hey.

Excellent work, Barnett.

The FBI's very happy.

Thanks, but, uh, there's no need
to make a big deal of it.

I mean, we barely made it

- on time, so...
- Hey, hey.

You saved the girl,
you made the delivery.

You got the job done, okay?
It's why you're here.

Yeah, well, I was just doing,
uh, what's best for the case.

Wow, just take the compliment, Trey.

We're back to some good,
old-fashioned teamwork, right?

Teamwork.

Barnett, you good?

Talk to me, man. What's up?

Look, guys, I know we got the win today,

but I still have somebody else's blood

- all over me. You do see that, right?
- Yeah.

- Look, Trey, I'm sorry...
- No, no, no, Cass.

I don't even want to hear
it from you right now.

What you did with the combat
gauze was extremely risky.

Hell, you even got sh*t for it.

I'm starting to realize

why undercover assignments
are usually ran solo.

Walker, what did you tell me?

Do what's best for the case,

and don't get attached to anyone.

- Right, but...
- All right, well, for me,

you guys are my attachments.

Guys, I need to do this one alone.

Look, at this point, it might be
the safest thing for everybody.

Walker's already keeping his distance.

Cassie, you should do the same.

All right, listen,

I think I'm getting called up
to Grey Flag's compound.

I'll gather more Intel while I'm there

until this mission is complete.

And I think they're prepping
for something big.

Okay, if Cap thinks this is safest,

and this is what you want, Trey,

then we'll respect your decisions.

Can I get a, uh, club
soda and lime, please.

Thank you.

Hey, Mr. Golden. Um...

Hey, I just wanted
to say thank you so much

for helping me help my family.

They just scored their first donation.

It was, um, Happy Horse Trails.

Ah, that's great news.
That's great news, August.

I'm glad I could help out.

Hey, between you and me,

I went ahead and reached
out to my friend at TABC.

We're gonna speed up
The Side Step's paperwork.

Wow. Um, are you sure?

My-my dad might get upset, right?

Your dad doesn't need to know.

But if he does get up in arms,
he can come to me.

Happy to fall on my sword.

Thanks, Steve.

Ah, um...

Well, thank you so much.

Man, you're-you're so connected.

Even today, it was really cool
watching you work the room,

and I'd-I'd love
to learn how to do that.

Well, you can.

It's a learned skill. How about this?

Why don't I swing by the ranch sometime,

help you work on your communication?

- Yeah?
- Yeah, of course.

You know, self-awareness, social
skills, that kind of stuff.

If memory serves,
you could use some help

in that department.

Well, that'd be dope, man.
I-I'd love that.

Sounds good. See you then.

Hmm.

I think I found something.

drone footage.

And I-I don't know
what I'm looking at here,

but it matches the story
you told me, Walker.

About the night Coop d*ed.

- Play it. Yeah.
- Yeah?

This was just recovered
from Mossad intelligence.

Now, could that have been Coop?

Whoa.

Wait a minute. What is that?

Wait, wait, you...

You don't think he...

He wouldn't have survived that, right?

No.

No.

Even if he did...

the injuries he would've sustained,

and being alone in the desert like that,

there's no way he would've survived.

There's no way.

Man, it's nice digs we got here.

I'll take you to your barracks, Barnett.

Training starts tomorrow.

You ready?

Tomorrow, brother, I stay ready.

Thanks for the lift, buddy.
