01x03 - Lights, Camera, Beetles!

Post by bunniefuu »

- How we doing on time?

- Well, the party

starts in an hour,

and where are the insects?

- They're not just insects.

There are spiders too.

- So, what do I call them?

- You can call it Allie's

rolling birthday bug zoo.

What's up, Hector?

- Hey, Allie.

You can put your

tanks over there.

- They're called terrariums.

- Then you can set up your

terrariums over there.

Whoa, don't take the

lid off that thing.

- I got to take the lid off,

so kids can get a better look,

really examine them.

- Can they get out

of the terrariums?

- No, but I can take one out,

so you can examine

it more closely.

This is Preston.

- No, no, no.

Let's leave him in there,

and let's just set up the

terrariums over there.

- No need to be nervous.

- I'm cool.

I am cool.

- Okay, Preston.

Go over to the table over there.

Here we go.

- So cute.

- Perfect.

- That bug really creeps me out.

- What can we say?

We've got a cousin

who's funky for bugs,

and it's his birthday.

(Hector groans)

- You guys want to

help me with the rest?

- Sure!

- Definitely.

- I got Louis.

You guys grab Sarah.

- Aw, Sarah Bear-ah.

So cute.

- Preston's gone!

- No!

- I put him down

here two seconds ago.

Somebody must have taken him.

- Wait, who would

want a big bug?

- Francine Carruthers.

(Francine gasps)

That's her leaving on her bike.

- She took Preston.

He's my favorite.

Oh, I mean, you guys

are all my favorite.

- Oh, we've got to

find that beetle.

Hey, you guys!

(playful theme music)

Come on yeah

Feel the power

Feel the power

Yo and plug it in

So use it as directed

And expect to be respected

Just turn it on

That you belong

- Okay, what does

this beetle look like?

What are his characteristics?

- First, he's an insect,

so he's got the same

characteristics as all insects.

You know, six legs, and he's

got three sections to his body.

- Allie said Preston also

has two sets of wings

on account of he's a beetle.

- And, there they are.

- Look at him.

He's adorable.

- Adorable?

- Yeah.

See that horn's a

cute characteristic.

He looks like a

little rhinoceros.

- Okay, well

because of that horn

he's called a rhino beetle.

- Oh.

I could have been a bug namer.

- Guys, the party's gonna

start in minutes.

What are we gonna do?

- What would Francine

want with a rhino beetle?

(phone rings)

- Your phone's ringing.

- Oh, sorry.

It's Francine!

You better be calling to say

that you're gonna

give us that bug back.

- [Francine] Sorry, your

bug's in my new movie.

You're in it too,

and I'm the star.

Goodbye, Electric Company.

(Francine laughs)

- Oh no.

It looks like Francine's

making another one

of those ridiculous movies.

Let's go to her website.

- I'm already on it.

(screaming)

- The city is ruined.

Oh no, run!

Run for help!

The att*ck of the Gigantic Bug.

I'm Francine Carruthers.

This just in.

A gigantic bug is

attacking the city.

Can anyone stop the

fearsome insect?

Oh no!

What are we gonna do?

- [Danny] It's hopeless.

- It is hopeless.

What about the Electric Company?

They always win.

- Oh, we've got to

find that beetle.

Hey, that's me from before.

- She was filming us.

- I look so natural.

- The Electric

Company is on the job,

and if we examine

the situation closely

there's nothing to worry about.

They always win.

(Francine laughs)

(mock growling)

- That bug really creeps me out.

- Or, do they?

Come find me if you

dare, and by the way,

I'm hungry.

(mock growling)

The att*ck of the Gigantic Bug.

- Well Hector, that beetle

sure made a monkey out of you.

- Well, that's

really really funny.

- You really really think so?

- No.

So, the bug is calling us out.

- Let's examine the picture.

- The subway.

Let's go.

- [Keith] Yo, I'll

see you at home.

- [Lisa] Bye guys!

- [Jessica] See ya, Shock.

(hip hop music)

What time is it

It's time to have some fun

What time is it

It's time to have some fun

Fun

Fun

The time is right

to have some fun

'Cause the short U

sound has just begun

If you want that

walk to pick up speed

Then bust out the

"uh" and watch it run

When you munch on lunch

and you need a treat

The "uh's" got your

back with the sticky bun

If you just can't wait

to jump form your seat

Then unleash the "uh"

and have some fun

Fun

What time is it

It's time to have some fun

You know I'm a fan

of having some fun

- Cupcake.

Cupcake?

Cupcake.

(grunts)

Crust.

Crust.

Bing!

Cut.

Cut.

Cut!

Cut!

(grunts)

Grumble.

Grumble.

Grumble.

Grumble!

(beeping)

- Submarine.

Submarine.

Submarine!

(horn honks)

- [Narrator] Today on

the Big Face Face Off

it's Jessica versus Francine.

- In this duel I will

use the "uh" sound.

- I will use the

"uh" sound as well.

(rock music)

- Too much sun.

(Francine gasps)

I have an umbrella!

- I will build a hut

to shut out to the sun.

- I will cut a hole in your hut.

- I will climb onto

the hump of this camel,

and we will run to

a tub of icy water.

And, the water is

cool as a cucumber.

- Oh yeah?

I will jump into my own

tub of icy cold water.

This is not my lucky day.

- I'd like a pet, please.

Something small.

- How about a nice bug?

- Ew, I don't want a bug.

Something bigger.

- How about this?

- A jug?

No, no.

I want something I

can really care about.

- I've got something

everyone cares about.

- A drugstore?

What am I supposed to

do with a pet drugstore?

- Well for one thing, you have

to feed it three times a day.

- That's ridiculous.

A bug, a jug, and a

drugstore are not pets.

- You guys want

to go for a walk?

- "Er"

- "Ug"

Rug.

- Rug.

"Sn"

- "Ug"

Snug.

- Snug.

"Ch"

- "Ug"

Chug!

- Chug!

"T"

- "Ug"

Tug.

- Tug.

"B"

- "Ug"

Bug.

- Bug.

- Oh, so cute.

Hey, little guy.

- That bug is so ugly.

(hip hop music)

(ominous music)

- Of all the letters

in the world,

I think the letter H

is the most powerful.

In fact, if Manny Spamboni

were to be a letter,

I would definitely be an H.

You will see how some

letters bend at the mere will

whenever the H is near.

Let's take the letter T

which thinks it's so great

just because it makes

the "ta" sounds,

but add an H after it, and

it magically transforms

into the "th" sound.

Not so tough anymore, huh T?

With an H ten becomes then.

Tick becomes thick.

t*nk becomes Thank.

And, then let's not forget the S

which thinks it's

so smart and sassy

because it makes

the "suh" sound,

but then H comes along,

and sack becomes shack.

Sort becomes short.

Sell becomes shell which

is why Manny Spamboni

would definitely be an H.

(hip hop music)

- There it is!

- They're not here.

What now?

- Maybe Francine left

some kind of clue.

- There it is!

But, it's not from Francine.

- Wait, that's the

work of Danny Rebus.

- He must be in on it too.

- Come on, let's just

examine the Rebus.

- I got it.

We're a bananas?

- Yeah, a whole bunch of them.

- No.

I'm betting on bunch.

See, we're a bunch of...

- [Hector] Cow.

- [Lisa] Cowards.

- [All] We're a

bunch of cowards!

Run?

- [Francine] Hey,

Electric Company!

I got your beetle.

(suspenseful music)

- Let's go!

Where did she go?

- And, what was with that clue?

- Yeah, how does

Danny Rebus fit in?

- Come on, guys.

I got this one.

- Of course.

Francine couldn't

have done it alone.

She needed a cameraman.

- Yeah, but what's the

point of filming us

just running up and

down the streets?

(phone rings)

- Francine just sent me a link.

- This just in.

Electric Company

faces gigantic bug.

- Oh, there it is.

- [Francine] Hey Electric

Company, I'm over here.

- [All] We're a

bunch of cowards.

- [Francine] Run away,

you scare-dy cats.

- Run?

- No one can stop me now.

The city is mine.

Oh no.

Looks like the Electric

Company turned out

to be a bunch of little

scare-dy baby cowards.

But, I'm not scared.

Yes, it's up to Francine

Carruthers to stop

the att*ck of the Gigantic Bug.

(suspenseful music)

- She really bugs me.

(hip hop music)

Hey look at what I found

Want to share it with you

Transformer H

Can't wait to show you

all the things it can do

When it comes behind

the letter C S and T

It changes up the sounds

Stick around you'll

see what I mean

C all by itself

makes a hard sound

"Kuh"

Transformer H comes

around with a new sound

"Chuh"

It turns cat into chat

Case into chase

Cow into chow

I think you got it now

S

Oh yes

You don't have to guess

When it's all alone makes

a sound like a snake

Yes

But add the H and it's

a whole different thing

Sake turns to shake

Same turns to shame

And last but not

least is the T

By itself I tend to think

it is hard as can be

But when you add

the H you will see

Tick becomes thick

And tree becomes three

Transformer H

Come on

Transformer H

(hip hop music)

I got a pocket full of H's

that I'm not afraid to use

I keep a couple extras

in the laces of my shoes

So when I run into a cat

I can have a little chat

And if a bat is in my path

I can make him take a bath

Got a pocket full of H's

that I'm not afraid to use

Got a pocket full of H's

that I'm not afraid to use

And if you see my buddy Gus

I can always make him gush

One summer at the camp

I made him be the champ

I got a pocket full of H's

that I'm not afraid to use

I got a pocket full of H's

that I'm not afraid to use

- I love using my H's.

Hey!

(both laugh)

(hip hop music)

(ominous music)

- And, bring it to me.

The Electric Company

chickened out.

Luckily, I have a plan.

First I, the fantastic Francine,

will climb the tallest

building in the city.

Danny, the camera.

Danny!

The camera goes like this.

Is your heart in this?

- You know what, Francine?

I been wondering when we're

gonna get to my big scene.

You promised I could

help save the day.

- Right, yeah.

That scene was changed.

Couldn't be helped.

But, you'll see it's much

better now that it's just me.

Tough break, kiddo.

(drumbeats)

(Danny sighs)

- Dude, this is crazy.

They could be anywhere.

- We should just get back.

The party's about to start.

- Wait, Danny Rebus?

- What are you doing here?

- Francine promised me

a role in the movie,

a big role with lines and

a costume and a big song,

and do you know what she did?

Do you?

You'll never guess

in a million years.

- She cut you out of the movie.

- She cut me out of the movie!

Wait, did you just say that?

- It's not important.

- So, are you gonna help us?

- Help you?

Never!

- What if we make our own

movie and give you a part?

- Well, in that

case I'll help you.

- Sometimes if you

want things done right

you just have to do it yourself.

(drumbeats)

I tracked the gigantic

beetle back to its lair.

Now all that's left for

me, Francine Carruthers,

who has the personality

characteristics

that everyone loves,

is to trap the beetle

in a giant terrarium

and save the...

(leaves rustle)

Save the city!

(Danny growls)

(Francine screams)

The gigantic bug!

- Oh, don't run away.

There's nothing to be afraid of.

Ask me if I'm a bug

And I will say yes

I will thank you kindly

To think before you step

Wow wow

Bugs get a bad rap

It gets me so upset

'Cause that bug

you're trying to crush

Could be somebody's pet

Nature lover

Don't judge me by my cover

No no

Perhaps you think I'm ugly

But I'm just acting bug-ly

Come on now play

it for me one time

I'm not a humbug

I do not hum

That's right

I live inside

a big terrarium

Talk about it now

I'm a stag beetle

who has big fun

Say what

With six legs two sets of

wings and an outer skeleton

Hey nature lover

Hey nature lover

Don't judge me by my cover

You better not I won't

Perhaps you think I'm ugly

I don't

But I'm just acting bug-ly

Come on fellas

Hit it for me one time

- And, cut!

(both laugh)

(beatboxing)

Get down

Get up and go 'cause

guess who's in town

It's me the hard G

I'm no slouch

But everyone agrees that

I am a grumpy grouch

Afraid of no vowel

anticipate the scowl

You better be afraid

of my gargantuan growl

Gee somebody

needs to breathe

Gentlemen there's

no need to be mean

It's me

My name is soft G and I

generously rock the mic gently

I'm not giant bully

I am gentler than him

But don't test me 'cause

I've been to the gymnasium

Oops I mean gymnasium

Get out of our face or

we'll chew you like gum

But when we work together

as in garbage or gauge

You better be on guard

when we take the stage

Together it's magic

I guess I agree

Hard or soft we

both represent the G

(funky drumbeats)

- What's the game today?

- I don't know.

- How about "gr"?

Growl?

(all growl)

- "Gr" as in grow.

Growing!

- Grab my hand, come back here.

- Man, you have a great grip.

- Hey, look you guys.

I'm green.

- Hey look, I'm greasy.

- Hey look, I'm floating

in a bowl of gravy.

(all laugh)

- Move it, gravy.

- Oh, you know it grandma.

- You're great.

- You're great too.

- Let's get some grapes.

- You're great.

- I'm Special Agent Jack Bowser.

This is just grape.

I mean, great.

This place is about to explode,

but I can't cr*ck

the code to get out.

Help me read this.

Greg was grateful, so he gave

a grape to the giant giraffe.

Greg was grateful, so he have

a grape to the giant giraffe.

(alarm sounds)

(expl*si*n)

- [Narrator] From the

makers of The Big Artifact

and The Huge Artifact comes

The Gigantic Artifact.

- Let's examine this map, Doug,

so that we can

find the artifact.

- Oh, you mean that

really important object

from a long time ago?

- [Narrator] They excavate.

- Keep digging, Doug.

- I'm digging, Dad.

- I dig the way

you're digging, Doug.

- Keep excavating.

- [Narrator] And

then, they examine.

- It's gigantic!

- I think we're gonna

need a bigger bag.

- [Narrator] The

Gigantic Artifact.

Can you dig it?

- [Keith] Okay,

so what happened?

- [Jessica] Let's

examine these insects.

- [Hector] This one's a beetle.

- [Jessica] Hey you guys!

- [Lisa] We have

to find that beetle

- [Narrator] Ring ring.

- [Francine] That

beetle is gigantic.

- [Hector] Whoa, that

beetle is gigantic,

like really big.

It's bigger than a car.

- [All] To the subway.

- [Lisa] What are the beetle's

characteristics again?

- [Jessica] It has six

legs and two sets of wings.

- [Narrator] Ring ring.

Gigantic beetle.

- [Lisa] Run!

- [Francine] Danny,

you're fired.

- [Danny] Hey Francine.

(Francine screams)

Examine this insect,

a beetle so fly.

Check my characteristics

as I pass you by.

(cheering)

(hip hop music)

Come on fellas

Hit it for me one time

(all laughing)

- And, cut!

Yeah!

That's this guy.

Okay, okay, okay.

Whoever wants birthday

cake, follow me.

(crowd cheers)

- Danny.

I had no idea you were so good.

- Well, I guess now you know.

- Wasn't I totally believable

when I was pretending

to be scared?

- Well, you had me convinced.

- You know, I'm

starring in a new movie,

and there's this little part

that I think you'd

be perfect for.

- I don't think so, Francine.

I think we learned today

who needs to be in

the starring part,

and so if you will excuse me

I have to spend a little

time with my fans.

Who loves the big bug?

Who loves the big bug?

- Big bug!

- [Crowd] Big bug!

Big bug!

Big bug!

Big bug!
