( Emma gasps ) M-Mr. Minerva?

Man: If you answered,

I assume you’re an escapee.

- I have to make this quick...

- Emma: Right,

- Minerva: so listen carefully.

Ray: It’s a recording.

James: My real name

is James Ratri.

I used to be...

affiliated with

the farm system there.

One day, I realized

between humans and demons

was barbaric.

That children

were being sacrificed for it

became unbearable to me,

in the books going to the farms,

hoping that the children

would find their way

I was betraying them.

and had to run away myself

or face execution.

I don’t know how many of you

there are there,

but I wish I could have

been there to meet you.

I wish I could have seen

your faces, heard your voices.

I know you must have suffered

so much to get there,

but I’m so proud you did.

You can live here forever

if that’s what you want,

or if you want to go

to the human side,

all you have to do

is open the pen

and type

the following password,

F-U-T-U-R-E.

The people there

will take you in,

and you’ll be safe.

( clock ticking )

Emma: Mr. Minerva

was on our side,

even though he never met us.

He set this place up

with everything we’d ever need

to live here

for as long as we wanted to.

He guided us here,

and he can guide us

to the human side, too,

if we want.

All we have to do is choose.

Ray: It’s up to us from there.

Thoma: Whoever was

here before us,

I wonder if they made it.

Lannion: I hope so.

( display crackling )

( Christie sighs )

- ( Don gasps )

- Christie: It’s a map!

Gilda: Right,

but who cares about that?

Emma: This is our chance

to get to the human side.

Ray: First thing, we have

to make this place livable

and start planning.

Then we’ll go back

to Grace Field

and get Phil and the others.

We’ll get the kids

from the other Houses, too,

and bring ’em back here.

Then we’ll all go

to the human world.

Emma: Mm-hmm. And we won’t stop

’til everyone’s free.

We have to do this

for the sake of all the kids

and for Norman’s.

( Ray sighs )

Emma: I promised him

that I wouldn’t let

any more kids die

and I wouldn’t stop,

not ’til I got our whole family

off the farm and somewhere safe.

Emma: If you have any

suggestions for stuff to eat,

It’d be great to eat red meat

once in a while.

Emma: Like he said,

we can’t make those things,

but I can go and try to find

something new to hunt.

Ray: Well, for one thing,

Both: We wanna go, too!

handle ourselves out there!

Emma: We’re not having

Don: We better catch something,

’cause if we don’t,

we can have a healthy dinner

of plants and nuts.

( Don chuckles )

start heading back.

they’re safe to eat?

to taste ’em first.

Ray: I’ll try it with ’em.

( clock ticking )

Thoma: Okay.

( all swallow )

( Thoma and Lannion grumble )

Don: It’s been ten minutes now.

Emma: How do you guys feel?
