Hello, oliver.

- It's "ollie."

- Whatever.

- ♪ Can I ask you a question?

- You just did.

- Oh.

Well, here's another.

♪ Who was the first animal you ever saved? ♪

- Oh, that's easy.

♪ The first animal that we ever saved was an ant ♪

- Nuh-uh, ming-ming.

♪ It was a worm

- ♪ An ant - ♪ a worm

- ♪ Ant - ♪ worm

- Actually, it was neither.

All: huh?

- ♪ The first animal that we ever saved ♪

♪ Was ollie

Both: ollie?

- Get out of town.

- ♪ It's true

♪ It was you

- Oh, yeah, pig?

How come you know so much?

- I'll show you,

And it's "guinea pig."

- Well, sooorry.

- ♪ For a long time, I've been collecting things ♪

- Collecting things? - Like what?

- ♪ Want to see 'em?

All: yeah!

- ♪ Then without further ado

♪ I present to you

All: ooh.

- ♪ The wonder pets museum

- Hunky-dunky.

Look at all this old junk.

- It's not junk, ollie.

These things tell the story

Of how the wonder pets got started.

- Well, how did the wonder pets get started?

- Well, a long time ago,

It used to be just me in the classroom.

I had a nice life, but I was kind of lonely.

I remember it well.

- It's time to go home, everyone.

- Bye, linny. - See ya, linny.

- Linny's my favorite hamster.

- She's a guinea pig.

[Door closes]

- [Sighs]

♪ Every day, I do the same thing ♪

♪ The kids and the teacher leave ♪

♪ And then I start to sing

♪ Alone

♪ Alone, no one to share with me ♪

♪ The things I see and do

♪ I need a friend or two

♪ I love my life, you see

♪ And I'll live it happily

♪ I wish I didn't have to be

♪ Alone

[Sighs]

I wish I had a friend.

[Sniffing]

[Sighs]

- Hello? - [Gasps]

What was that?

[Gasps]

Oh, my.

Please take care of this turtle.

He needs a lot of love.

Hi. I'm linny.

What's your name?

- Turtle tuck. - Whoa.

Great. Um...like to hug, don't you?

- Oh, yeah.

Wow.

What is this place?

- This is where I live.

Welcome to classroom. Take a look around.

We've got a lot of things I think you'll like.

- ♪ Linny, I see blocks and a doll with stripy socks ♪

♪ And look at that, a pretty wooden trike ♪

- Wow, good eye, tuck.

- Good eye. Yeah.

I do have a good eye.

♪ I also love when things look pretty ♪

- Pretty?

- ♪ Like pretty dolls with pretty shoes and hair ♪

- Oh.

- ♪ I like to change their clothes ♪

♪ And arrange them all in rows

♪ Making things look pretty shows you care ♪

There.

- Wow.

Good eye, tuck, for...fashion.

- [Laughs]

Dance with me, linny.

Whoa.

[Dolls squeaking]

- Oops.

I guess I'm pretty clumsy too.

- You're great just the way you are, tuck.

I'm so glad to have you as a friend.

[Pedals squeaking]

♪ Exercise, exercise, exercise

- Linny.

- What's wrong, tuck?

- Come quick.

- Wow.

- What is it, linny?

- I think it's...it's...

An egg.

The kids must have gotten a new pet for the classroom.

- An egg?

Hello, egg.

[Egg cracking]

Uh-oh. I think I broke it, linny.

- No, tuck. The egg's about to hatch.

- ♪ Hello, world

Let's get this party started.

Oh, hey.

What's the matter?

Never seen a duckling before?

- A what-ling?

- Did I pronounce my words clearly enough for you?

- Um...

- Hi, I'm linny the guinea pig,

And this is my friend turtle tuck.

- Ah, pleased to make your acquaintance.

♪ Ya, dah, dah-dah, dah

♪ The name is ming-ming

♪ Ming-ming duckling

♪ The greatest creature that you've ever met ♪

♪ Behold the marvel that is me

♪ So full of charm and energy

♪ And I'm not even grown up yet ♪

♪ I'm flipply and cute

♪ And beautiful to boot

♪ And best of all, I absolutely know it ♪

- Great.

- ♪ You must be so glad you found me ♪

♪ Since the world revolves around me ♪

♪ I'm great and I can't wait

♪ To show it

[Feet tapping]

♪ Cha

Wait.

What are these things?

- I believe those are your wings, ming-ming.

- "Wings" you say?

"Wings."

There's something special in that word.

Wings.

♪ Do these make a bird a bird?

Linny, tuckster.

- It's tuck. - Whatever.

Look.

♪ I can fly

♪ Linny the guinea pig and turtle tuck ♪

♪ Get a load of the flying duck ♪

♪ Down there on the ground you're stuck ♪

♪ But I can fly

♪ I can fly

♪ I can-- - that's enough.

- What's the matter, tuckster?

- It's tuck, and what's the matter is you're a showoff.

- I take that as a compliment.

- Linny, if ming-ming stays, I'm leaving.

- And if he stays, I'm leaving.

- Hold on, you two.

Let's all calm down.

Tuck--

♪ Take a deep breath

- [Breathing heavily]

- And ming-ming--

♪ Count to three

- One, two, um... Little help?

- Three. - Three.

- I know you've gotten off to a rough start,

But I really want us all to be friends.

Both: "friends"?

- Friends.

Will you give it a try--

♪ For me?

- Okay, linny. - Sure. Fine.

- Great.

I'm sure you'll be friends once you get to know each other.

♪ When you got to know someone who's got a different style ♪

♪ They do things differently than you ♪

[Trumpet blaring]

♪ When you get to know someone

♪ It takes a little while

♪ But soon they'll make you smile ♪

♪ Yes, it's true

♪ Sometimes you like one thing

♪ And they'll like another

♪ But you can still learn to get along with each other ♪

♪ So when you get to know someone ♪

♪ The more time you spend

♪ The sooner that someone

♪ Will be your friend

[All laughing]

- Hey, we look like superheroes.

- You're right.

Good eye, tuckster.

- I'm just so glad you guys are friends now.

- Hey!

- Did you say "hey"?

- I didn't say "hey."

Did you say "hey"?

- No way. Linny?

- I didn't say "hey." - Hey!

Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!

- It's coming from the classroom next door.

Come on, guys.

- Hello. Over here.

Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!

- Hey. - Oh, hey.

I'm ollie the bunny.

- Yeah? And?

- And I want to get out of here.

♪ Free me

Please? Come on, guys.

Let me out. Please?

I'll be your best friend.

- Well, I guess I'll let him out.

- Wait, linny.

I've got a bad feeling about this one,

Even worse that I had about tuck.

No offense, tuck.

- Ming-ming, we have to let ollie out of his cage.

- Yeah.

♪ Listen to the pig

- "Guinea pig." There you go, ollie.

You're free.

So what do you want to do, ollie?

- Yay! Whoo-hoo!

- Oh, boy.

- We better follow him.

Ollie!

- ♪ Boy, you guys got a lot of stuff ♪

♪ Look at all this awesome stuff ♪

♪ Toys and stuff and games and... ♪

♪ Stuff

Whoo-whoo-whoo!

♪ You guys don't know how lucky you are ♪

♪ Everything I've seen so far is hunky-dunky-awesome ♪

Wow.

♪ A car

- It's not a car.

It's a rocket ship.

- Oh, no. Ollie's getting inside.

- Be careful, ollie.

That rocket isn't easy to fly.

- Relax, pig.

Rabbits are natural-born fliers.

♪ For goodness' sakes

♪ How do I hit the brakes?

Wha!

- Oh, no.

- ♪ Ollie's hanging from the ceiling ♪

- ♪ Get me down

- Come on, guys.

Hang on, ollie. We'll save you.

[Grunting] ♪ I can't reach him

- Whoa!

I'm slipping!

- Ollie's gonna fall.

- ♪ This is se-wious

Ooh, that's pretty catchy.

- Guys, we can save ollie if we work together.

- What do you mean "work together?"

- You know, we each have a job, like...

♪ Teamwork

- Hey, that's pretty catchy too.

- Thanks.

- Tuck, you stand on my shoulders.

Ming-ming, you stand on tuck's shoulders and grab ollie.

- You got it.

- We did it.

- Give me a hug, ollie.

- Okay, that's enough.

Thanks for saving me, guys.

You were amazing.

- I was amazing.

- But we almost didn't save you, ollie.

The only thing that worked was teamwork.

Both: teamwork?

- Hey, you guys look just like superheroes.

- Wow. You're right, ollie.

- Of course I am.

Well, see ya.

- Ming-ming, tuck, I think we really could be superheroes.

Both: huh?

- If we use teamwork,

I bet we could save all sorts of animals in trouble.

♪ Before I met you guys, I was all alone ♪

Both: ah.

- ♪ Things are harder when you're on your own ♪

♪ But look at us

♪ I mean, just look at us standing here together ♪

♪ See what I mean?

♪ We're part of a team

- Part of a team? - Yeah.

♪ When you're part of a team

♪ You can get things done

- Like what?

- ♪ All sorts of jobs that are much too big for one ♪

♪ When everyone does their part ♪

♪ With a little luck and a lot of heart ♪

♪ Then your problems aren't as big as they seem ♪

♪ You can do anything when you're part of a team ♪

- Wow. I did it.

- Nope. We all did it...as a team.

- Linny, you're right.

Let's be a team and help save animals in trouble.

- Sounds good to me.

- Great.

Now we need to think of a name for our team.

Both: hmm.

- I know.

♪ Why don't we call our team the pretty pets? ♪

- Pretty pets?

- ♪ Yeah, 'cause we're pets and we're pretty ♪

♪ Linny, let's

- Hmm.

- ♪ Linny, I don't know about you ♪

♪ But to me, that name is so floo-floo ♪

- Well, what do you want to name our team?

- How about the--

♪ Super singing power pets?

- That's a nice name, ming-ming,

But I don't know about "power pets."

- I wonder what we could call our team.

- That's it. "Wonder."

We'll be the wonder pets.

- Not bad. - Great, it's decided.

Out team will be called--

♪ Ming-ming's wonder pets

- Nah, just "the wonder pets."

- I tried.

- Linny, now that we're the wonder pets,

How do we know which animals need to be saved?

- That's easy. We'll ask 'em.

Yo, animals. - Huh?

- ♪ I ask you, who needs a rescue? ♪

I think they're all safe, actually.

- Ming-ming.

- Well, if animals are really in trouble,

They'll just call us.

- Call us on what?

We don't have a phone.

[Jingling]

- ♪ The can

♪ The can is winging?

- I guess we do have a phone.

- Hello?

- [Indistinct mumbling]

- You want to order a pizza?

- I'll handle this.

This line is for emergencies only.

[Jingling]

- [Gasps]

Listen.

- [Moaning]

- ♪ It's a little baby whale on a beach in nova scotia ♪

Look.

- [Moaning]

- Poor baby whale.

- We need to help her get back into the ocean.

- ♪ A baby whale stuck on a beach ♪

- ♪ This is se-wious

- ♪ We have to help her

- ♪ Let's save the whale

All: ♪ let's save the whale

♪ Let's save the whale

Whee!

Oof.

- I thought we were gonna land in that box.

- What do you want? It was our first try.

- Wonder pets, we need a way to get to the baby whale

In nova scotia.

- Let's build a boat, linny.

- Good idea, tuck.

- No, let's build something that can fly.

- Okay, ming-ming.

- ♪ Let's build a boat

- ♪ Something that can fly

- ♪ Boat - ♪ fly

- There. It's a boat that flies.

♪ I call it the boatfly

- Hmm. How about the flyboat?

- Ooh. That's even better.

The flyboat.

- It's great, linny--

♪ But it's not quite pretty enough ♪

Hang on.

I'm finished.

It stands for "wonder pets."

Both: ooh.

- Hop in the flyboat, wonder pets.

We've got a baby whale to save.

- We are coming to save you, baby whale.

[Crashing sounds]

Ouchie.

- One more time.

- How's she handle, linny?

- Great,

But I can't find a way out of the classroom.

- Linny, if I may,

I've got a good feeling about that chicken.

- Careful, ming-ming.

We're gonna crash.

- I'm betting he swerves first.

[All screaming]

[All sighing]

Don't ask me how I knew.

I just knew.

[All cheering]

- So... - Yeah.

Want to drive, linny? - Sure.

- Tuck, turn on the radio.

- There is no radio.

- Well, we could sing a song instead.

- Good idea, tuck. I'll start.

♪ Wonder pets, wonder pets

♪ We're on our way

- Um...

♪ To help a baby whale and something, something day ♪

- How about--

♪ And save the day

- Yeah.

♪ And save the day

- Um... Oh, I got it.

♪ We're not too big, and we're not too tough ♪

- Hey, speak for yourself.

- And you're big and tough?

- Let's just say I've got the right stuff, tuckster.

- Hey, that's good.

♪ But when we work together, we've got the right stuff ♪

- Great. Let's sing the whole thing.

All: ♪ wonder pets, wonder pets ♪

♪ We're on our way

♪ To help a baby a baby whale and save the day ♪

- ♪ We're not too big

- ♪ And we're not too tough

All: ♪ but when we work together ♪

♪ We've got the right stuff

- Go, wonder pets.

Here, you guys put your hands on top of mine.

- Oh, yeah. - Got it.

All: go, wonder pets! Yay!

- We're in nova scotia, wonder pets.

- I see the beach, linny.

- Good eye, tuck. Let's land.

All: whee!

- [Moaning] - it's the baby whale.

- But where is she?

- Found her.

♪ Hello, little baby whale

♪ Good-bye, little baby whale

That was easy.

Let's go home.

- Um...ming-ming?

- Ah. Whale.

- Don't worry, baby whale.

We'll get you back into the ocean.

- [Moaning]

- I know.

Let's put the whale in the flyboat

And fly her back to the water.

- Great idea, tuck.

- Hop in, whaley. You're traveling first class.

- Oh, I guess she's too big to fit in the flyboat.

- [Moaning]

- Oh, no.

The baby whale really needs to get back into the water.

- ♪ This is se-wious

- Are you gonna be saying that a lot?

'Cause I'm not wild about it.

- We'll see.

- What we need is teamwork.

- Oh, yeah, teamwork,

Just like we learned to do in the classroom.

- Maybe we can use the flyboat to pull the whale

Back into the ocean.

- Great idea, tuck.

You push the baby whale towards the ocean.

Ming-ming, you tie the seaweed to the baby whale's tail,

And I'll tie the other end to the flyboat.

♪ Linny, tuck

- ♪ And ming-ming too

All: ♪ we're wonder pets, and we'll help you ♪

- ♪ What's gonna work?

- ♪ Teamwork

- Wait. I wasn't ready.

Ask that again, linny.

- ♪ What's gonna work?

Both: ♪ teamwork

- ♪ What's gonna work?

Both: ♪ teamwork

- We did it. We saved the baby whale.

- [Calling]

- Oh, thank you for saving my daughter, wonder pets.

[All singing]

- You're welcome, papa whale.

- All that saving made me hungry.

This calls for some rutabaga.

- Some what?

- Rutabaga.

It's a turnip mixed with a cabbage.

So?

- Um... - What else you got?

- Oh, how about some celery?

Both: yeah!

- Well, wonder pets, it looks like our work here is done.

- Bye, baby whale. Bye, papa whale.

- Good-bye, wonder pets.

[All calling]

- And that's how we became the wonder pets.

- Wow, that's a lot of history.

- Yeah, I feel so old.

- ♪ We've been doing this a long, long time ♪

♪ It's true

♪ But there's nothing in the world ♪

♪ I'd rather do

Both: ♪ me too

- ♪ Every pig and every zebra

- ♪ Every mollusk - ♪ and amoeba

- ♪ We'll always be there to save the day together ♪
