Hola, I'm Diego.

Do you like parades?

Me, too!

And today there's a Carnaval parade!

ALL: ¡Carnaval!

Lots of places have Carnaval parades

with floats, balloons and confetti,

but you can't have Carnaval without music and goodies.

And at some Carnavales, we dance the samba!

ALL: ¡Samba!

Clap with me while we dance the samba.

( samba music resumes )

♪ Come on and clap with us

♪ Clap, clap, clap

♪ It's a samba, samba, samba

♪ Clap, clap, clap.

( music ends )

Great clapping!

( beeping ) Hey, that's my video watch.

Do you see who's calling me?

Right!

That's my cousin, Dora the Explorer.

And look, there's Boots!

Diego!

Boots and I are on top of the mountain

waiting for Linda the llama

to bring the baskets

with goodies and music for the parade.

But she's not here!

Uh-oh!

Without the music and goodies,

there can't be a Carnaval parade!

Diego, Linda the llama must be in trouble.

You've got to rescue her, Diego.

Don't worry, amigos, I'll find Linda.

I need your help finding Linda the llama.

Come on!

Our special camera, Click, can find Linda the llama!

Say "Click."

( camera clicks )

We need to find Linda the llama

or there won't be a Carnaval parade.

Llamas sound like this:

Let's zoom through the forest

and listen for the animal that goes: ( lowing ).

( animal squawking )

DIEGO: Does this sound like a llama?

No!

That's a scarlet macaw.

( animal whistles piercingly )

DIEGO: Does this sound like a llama?

No!

That's a sloth.

( animal lowing )

DIEGO: Does this sound like a llama?

Yes, that's it!

To take a picture of the llama, say "Click"!

( camera clicks )

Got it!

Now, you tell Diego you found the llama.

What did you find?

The llama?

You found Linda the llama.

We've got to see why she's in trouble.

We can do that if Click zooms out.

Say "zoom"!

¡Ayúdenme!

( lowing )

Oh, no!

Linda the llama is stuck in muddy mud!

And her Carnaval baskets with goodies and music have fallen!

We've got to help Linda the llama out of the muddy mud

and find the Carnaval baskets!

Come on, amigos!

¡Al rescate!

Clap your hands with me.

Clap, clap, clap.

Clap, clap, clap.

Clap, clap, clap.

Clap, clap, clap.

Great.

Let's call to Linda the llama.

Say ( imitating lowing ): "hum-hum."

Hum, hum.

ALL: ♪ Go, Diego, go!

♪ ¡Vamos, Diego, vamos! ♪

♪ Al rescate, amigo ♪

♪ To the rescue, my friend

We made it to the mountains!

But I don't see Linda the llama.

LINDA: ¡Ayúdenme!

( lowing )

Hey, that sounds like Linda the llama!

Do you see Linda the llama?

There she is!

Let's call to Linda to tell her we're coming!

Say "hum, hum."

( lowing )

No te preocupes, Linda.

¡Te rescataremos!

Linda the llama is stuck in the muddy mud.

To get Linda the llama out of the muddy mud,

we have to push her out!

I need your help to push.

Put your hands out in front of you and help me push!

Now, push!

You helped me push Linda the llama out of the muddy mud!

Great pushing!

¡Gracias!

¡Gracias, Diego!

De nada, Linda.

Let's call my cousin, Dora.

Dora, we found Linda the llama!

That's great, Diego!

But, Diego, where are the baskets

with music and goodies?

Don't worry, Boots, we'll find the baskets.

Will you help me find the baskets?

Great!

( samba music begins playing )

Do you see a basket?

There it is!

But it's way up high on top of that bush!

Look!

Llamas have long necks.

Linda the llama is stretching

her long neck to get the basket.

We have to help Linda the Llama.

Will you help Linda get the basket?

Great!

Let's all stretch our necks like llamas to get the basket.

Stretch! Stretch!

Stretch! Stretch! Stretch...!

We got the basket with the yummy treats!

But we still need to find the basket full of instruments.

Come on!

( samba music resumes )

Hey, I hear special musical instruments.

They're coming from behind the wall.

Come on, we've got to stretch to get the basket.

Stretch your neck way up high like a llama!

Stretch! Stretch! Stretch! Stretch!

Stretch...!

Do you see the basket with musical instruments?

All right!

( fanfare plays )

Great stretching like a llama!

¡Gracias, Linda!

De nada.

( fanfare plays )

These are special instruments we can use to play the samba

at the Carnaval parade!

¡Carnaval, Carnaval!

Come on, amigos!

¡Vámonos al carnaval!

♪ Come on...

♪ And clap with us

♪ Clap, clap, clap

♪ It's a samba, samba, samba

♪ Clap, clap, clap.

( music ends )

Look!

There's the mountain where Dora is!

But before we can get to that mountain,

we have to cross the bridge!

( animal growling )

¡Mira, un puma!

Uh-oh, a puma!

The puma might try to eat the Carnaval goodies.

But look, there's a gate on the other side of this bridge.

We've got to get Linda past that gate

so we can keep the puma away from the goodies.

Linda speaks Spanish,

so to tell Linda to go fast, we say "¡rápido!"

Say "¡rápido!"

Again-- "¡rápido!"

We need to go faster!

Say "¡más rápido!"

¡Lo logré, lo logré!

We made it, we made it!

Thanks for helping Linda the llama.

You are great at speaking Spanish.

( watch beeping )

That's my video watch.

Diego, it's almost time for the Carnaval parade.

We've decorated the whole town,

but we still need the baskets of goodies and music.

Okay, Dora, we're on our way.

Come on, amigos.

Let's go to Carnaval.

We need to get past this tall grassy field.

Yum!

A mí me gusta la hierba.

Llamas love to eat grass.

Linda can get us through the grassy field

by eating her way out.

Come on.

¡Espera, Linda!

She's so fast.

We'd better hurry.

Hey, I can't see Linda the llama.

The clouds are too low.

But we've got to find her.

I know.

Llamas love to hum, and they can hear really, really well.

Will you help me hum like a llama?

Great.

Say "Hum, hum."

Louder.

Hum, hum.

( Linda lows )

I hear her.

That's Linda the llama.

If you see Linda the llama, say "llama."

Diego, Diego!

Linda!

You helped me find Linda the llama.

Great humming.

Vámonos, amigos.

Look. That's where Dora and Boots are waiting

for the Carnaval parade.

¡Carnaval, carnaval!

We've got to get to the top of that mountain.

Llamas are great at climbing

because they have padded feet.

Do you see Linda the llama's strong padded feet?

Great.

We need to climb like llamas

to get to the top of the mountain.

Remember, Linda speaks Spanish.

To tell Linda to climb,

we sing the Spanish word "sube."

Can you sing ♪ Sube? ♪

Great.

Sing "Sube" with me.

♪ Sube. ♪

♪ Sube... ♪

♪ Sube. ♪

♪ Sube... ♪

♪ We need to climb and we can't stop ♪

♪ Until we reach the mountaintop ♪

♪ We're climbing like all llamas do. ♪

We made it all the way to the mountaintop.

BOBOS ( in background ): Bobos, Bobos!

( Bobos laughing )

That sounds like the Bobo Brothers.

Those naughty monkeys are always causing trouble.

Tell me if you see the monkeys.

Yeah, there they are.

Whee! Whee! Whee! Whee!

Goodies. Goodies! Goodies. Goodies!

( whooping )

Goodies! Goodies!

The Bobos are heading for the Carnaval baskets.

We have to stop the Bobos.

To stop the Bobos, say "Freeze, Bobos."

BOTH: Oops! Sorry.

We really wanted to go to Carnaval, Diego.

Don't worry, Bobos.

You can come to Carnaval, too.

Carnaval is for everyone.

Yippee! Yippee!

Yahoo! Yahoo!

BOTH: ¡Carnaval, carnaval!

Let's go.

Diego, you made it.

Here are the baskets

with the special instruments and treats.

TOWNSPEOPLE: Carnaval goodies!

Buen trabajo, Linda.

That llama sure is strong.

And we don't have anyone to pull King Momo's parade float.

King Momo is the king of Carnaval.

He always rides in his special parade float.

DORA: And here he comes.

( crowd cheers )

( grunting )

It's too heavy for me to push.

Too heavy!

Too heavy!

What are we going to do?

We need a strong animal to help us pull the parade float.

What strong animal can help us pull the parade float?

A llama, right.

Linda, ¿nos puedes ayudar?

Sí, sí, yo puedo ayudar.

Great!

Linda the llama will pull King Momo's parade float.

Let's all cheer for Linda the llama.

Say...

ALL: Linda the llama!

DIEGO: And look, King Momo is here.

Yes, it is I, King Momo,

King of Carnaval.

Carnaval looks so beautiful.

Linda carried all the goodies and instruments

all the way up the mountain.

Llamas are very strong.

Gracias, Linda.

De nada.

And Linda is going to pull

your special Carnaval float, King Momo.

Perfecto.

Diego, why don't you and all your friends ride

on the float with me?

( others cheer )

( samba music playing, fireworks whistling, popping )
