♪ Step by step yes, clue by clue ♪

♪ Let's think it through, ♪

♪ it's, it's Blue's Clues and you! ♪

Oh, hi, come on in.

I am so glad you're here.

I could really use your help.

I can't figure out how Blue's feeling.

[sad barks]

How do you think Blue's feeling?

[sad barks]

[kids] She's sad.

She's sad.

How do you know?

[sad barks]

Oh, she is making sad noises.

And her face has a frown.

And her ears are droopy.

Blue, are you sad?

[sad barks]

Blue is sad.

Oh no. Why are you sad, Blue?

[sad barks]

Okay,

we can play Blue's Clues

to figure out why Blue is sad.

♪ We are going to play Blue's Clues, ♪

♪ because it will really help Blue ♪

So, Blue's paw prints will be on the clues.

Blue's Clues.

Okay paw print, it's time to go,

but it was really nice to-

Oh no, the paw print looks sad too.

[kids] Paw print!

Right a paw print.

Cause that's the first...

[kids] Clue!

Yeah, a clue!

Then we put it in our?

[kids] Notebook!

♪ Put it on our Notebook cause they're whose clues? ♪

♪ Blue's Clues! ♪

♪ We got to find another paw print, ♪

♪ that's the second clue. ♪

♪ Put it on our notebook ♪

♪ cause they're whose clues? ♪

♪ Blue's Clues! ♪

♪ We got to find the last paw print. ♪

♪ That's the third clue, ♪

♪ we put it in our notebook ♪

♪ cause they're whose clues? ♪

♪ Blue's Clues ♪

You know what to do.

♪ We sit down in our Thinking Chair ♪

♪ And think, think, think ♪

♪ Cause when you use your mind, ♪

♪ Take a step at a time, ♪

♪ You can do anything. ♪

Okay, so we need to figure out why Blue is sad.

Hmm...

Have you seen Blue?

[sad barks]

[kids] Yes!

Oh, which way did she go?

[kids] That way!

Aw poor Blue, it's really tough being sad.

[kids] A clue!

Something at school?

[kids] It's a clue!

Oh, you see a clue.

Whoa! You see a clue?

Where?

[kids] Right there! Over there!

There it is!

On this tower of blocks.

Whoa, hey!

You know what we need?

Our handy, dandy...

[kids] Notebook!

Notebook! Right.

Okay, so a tower of blocks.

First, four little squares

on the bottom,

then three squares above those,

two more squares above those,

and one square at the very tippy top.

There.

A tower of blocks.

Hmm, so why could Blue be sad

with a tower of blocks?

Hmm. Well, I think we need to find more clues to figure this out.

[distant shouting]

Did you hear that?

[shouting]

Ahhh!

Oh, my. Well. Hey, what's the matter, Fred Felt Friend?

I'm feeling...

[Screams]

What? What is Fred feeling?

[shouting]

[screams]

[kids] Scared!

Scared. How do you know?

Oh, right.

Because his eyes got really big

and his mouth was kind of was like eeee.

[laughs]

See he was scared because his sister was scaring him

with that mask and those bleep blop noises.

Bleep blop! [giggling]

Don't scare me, Felicia!

I'm sorry, Fred.

Aww.

Fred got a hug.

How do you think he's feeling now?

[giggling]

[kids] Happy!

[Josh] Yup, happy!

Let's go find some more Blue's Clues!

♪ Mail time... Mail time. Mail time... Mail time! ♪

The mail's here!

♪ Mail time! ♪

♪ Here's the mail it never fails, ♪

♪ it makes me want to wag my tail, ♪

♪ when it comes, I want to wail ♪

♪ mail! ♪

See our faces? We are feeling so excited!

We love when the mail comes.

I'm feeling proud today

because delivering the mail is an important job!

Hey, we just got a letter.

Hi, Josh, do you know what makes me happy

when I'm feeling sad?

My puppy!

[sad barks]

But Blue is still sad.

[sad barks]

We really need to find some more clues

so we can figure out why Blue is sad, let's go!

♪ We are looking for Blue's Clues ♪

[kids] A clue!

You see a clue? Where?

[kids] There!

Oh! There!

Blue's friend Magenta is a clue.

Well I think we need to write this clue down

in our handy, dandy?

[kids] Notebook!

Notebook! Right!

Okay...

So you know,

I think I'll use this magenta crayon

for our Magenta clue.

Ok, Magenta.

First a circle for Magenta's head,

two ears,

an oval for her body,

four legs,

a tail,

a triangle nose,

two eyes, and her mouth.

Magenta, okay so,

what was our first clue?

[kids] Tower of blocks!

A tower of blocks, yeah.

And now our second clue is Magenta,

so why could Blue be sad

with a tower of blocks

and Magenta?

Do you think something happened with Magenta?

I think we need to find our last clue

so we can figure out why Blue is so sad.

[sad barks]

Come on!

[sad barks]

Blue.

It's your photo album from school.

[sad musical barks]

Let's go!

♪ Blue skidoo we can too! ♪

Whoa!

Wow!

It's Blue's school!

[humming]

[humming]

[barks]

Oh, hey, Blue.

This orange kitten is painting.

Looks like she's feeling pretty happy.

[humming]

She sounds pretty happy too.

[gasps]

[barks]

- Oh no. [barks]

Look, look what happened.

Oh. How do you think the orange kitten is feeling now?

[sighs]

[kids] Sad.

[barks]

Yeah. Sad.

Because she's whimpering, and her face is frowning.

Oh, what should I do?

Well what do you think the orange kitten should do?

Should she stop painting and give up?

Or should she get a new piece of paper and paint again?

Which do you think she should do?

[kids] Paint another picture!

I think I'll paint another picture now

and make it even better!

[happy barks]

Yeah, right because if you just sat there

and stopped painting, you wouldn't have a painting

to bring home.

True!

[barks]

Oh!

Hey that was a pretty tough situation!

[barks]

Let's go!

Cool, a story!

Let's listen.

The duckling felt really sad,

and then...

[barks]

[sighs]

[barks]

Whoa, how do you think purple kangaroo is feeling?

[kids] Sad.

[grunts]

[kids] Mad.

Sad, and mad!

What do you think he should do?

Should he tell Magenta how he feels

so they can share the story?

Or should he grab the book back?

Which do you think he should do?

[kids] Tell Magenta how he feels!

Mmm hmm...

I want to tell you how I feel,

sad and mad.

Because it's not nice to grab the book.

[barks]

Would you like to share the book with me?

[barks]

Now that's a great idea!

To share.

Come on.

[barks]

♪ We are looking for Blue's Clues. ♪

[kids] A clue!

Boo hoo!

Oh no, are you sad too?

[kids] No, a clue!

Oh, phew!

I would be so sad if you were sad too.

[kids] It's a clue!

Oh, a clue!

Where?

Over there!

Oh, on the blocks!

What happened to those blocks?

[kids] They fell over!

Oh, right.

Ok so they're kind of like our first clue.

A tower of blocks

only now they're a fallen down tower of blocks.

Hey, you know what we need?

Our handy, dandy?

[kids] Notebook!

Notebook, right!

Ok a fallen down tower of blocks.

We have three squares on the bottom,

and then some falling blocks...

There.

A fallen down tower of blocks.

Well that was our last clue.

What are we ready for?

[kids] Thinking chair!

Oh! Right! Thinking chair.

Let's go!

[musical barks]

Okay, now that we're in our thinking chair,

let's think!

Hey, will you help me?

You will? Great!

Thanks.

So, we're trying to figure out why Blue is sad.

What's our first clue?

[kids] A tower of blocks!

A tower of blocks.

Yeah!

And now our second clue is... Magenta.

And our third clue is

a fallen down tower of blocks.

Hm, so why could Blue be sad

with a tower of blocks,

Magenta

and a fallen down tower of blocks.

Well, if Blue built a tower of blocks

and then Magenta came over to play with them?

Then... Then what happened?

[kids] Magenta knocked down the block tower!

Oh, so you think

Magenta knocked down Blue's block tower!

Would that make Blue sad?

[barks]

Yeah!

Blue built a block tower and Magenta knocked it down

and it made Blue sad!

We just figured out Blue's Clues.

♪ because we're really smart! ♪

[sad barks]

Okay, Blue now that we know why you're sad,

let's figure out how we can help you.

[doorbell rings]

Who do you think is at the door?

Who is it?

[happy barks]

Oh, Blue, look, your friend Magenta's here!

[Sad barks]

Oh no it's okay Blue, we're here to help.

[happy barks]

Will you help too?

Great!

[barks]

Oh look!

Blue and Magenta want to play with, uh oh, blocks.

Come on.

[barks]

Blocks, like our clues.

[barks]

So how do you think Blue feels now?

[barks]

Yeah, probably a little bit nervous.

[barks]

Okay so now Blue is building

a block tower.

[barks]

Oh, Magenta knocked down Blue's tower.

Oh, I can't look, that makes Blue sad.

And me too.

What do you think Blue should do?

[both barking]

Blue is telling Magenta how she feels.

That's good.

[both barking] - Oh. Now I'm getting nervous!

[both barking]

What do you think Blue should do now?

[barks]

Blue is telling Magenta, "No".

Oh. Now I think Magenta is feeling sad too.

[barks]

And now Blue is giving Magenta

her own blocks to knock down!

[barks]

That was a great idea!

How do you think Blue's feeling now?

[kids] Happy!

Happy! Yeah! Blue's happy!

And, Magenta's happy too!

Are you?

Oh good! Yeah. Me too!

[both barking]

Aww, good job Blue and Magenta,

you worked it out!

[barks]

Oh!

You're welcome!

I love you too.

[barks]

Now it's time for so long.

♪ But we're going to sing one more song ♪

[barks]

♪ Thanks for doing your part ♪

♪ You sure are smart, you sure worked hard ♪
