- Today we're in the arctic, up here.

Hola! I'm diego.

- And I'm alicia.

- And I'm baby jaguar.

Raow, raow!

- We're here to visit a rescue home

For some really special animals.

The animals that live here

Can move through snow, ice, and water.

What animals are these?

Baby jaguar and seals: seals, seals, seals!

-Si,these are ringed seals.

- 'Cause we have rings on our back.

[Upbeat music]

- ♪ We're ringed seals

♪ On land, we wiggle and flop

Together: whee!

- ♪ We wiggle and wiggle and flop and never stop ♪

- ♪ Don't stop - ♪ don't stop - ♪ don't stop

- ♪ This is the coolest place we've ever known ♪

Seals: ♪ we love our ringed seal rescue home ♪

♪ In the sea, our flippers wiggle from side to side ♪

- Look at me!

Seals: ♪ diving in and out of ice holes ♪

♪ Fills us with pride

♪ This is our wiggling, flopping, diving zone ♪

♪ We love our ringed seal rescue home ♪

♪ Now, we know that this may come as a surprise ♪

- Surprise!

- ♪ We're going to grow to twice this size ♪

- Pass the fish!

Seals: ♪ but until we can be safe all on our own ♪

- We love our home!

Seals: ♪ we love our ringed seal rescue home ♪

[Applause]

- Raow, raow!

Hey, these seals sure love the rescue home.

- They sure do.

All these seals had to be rescued

When their snow caves melted.

- Their snow caves protected them

From the snow, ice, and even polar bears.

- Without their snow caves, they didn't have homes.

That's when we brought them all to the rescue home.

- Bark, bark! Help!

Bark, bark! Help!

- Hey, that sounds like an animal in trouble.

- Yeah, it sounds like a baby seal.

My special camera, click, can help us find the baby seal.

Say, "click."

- ♪ Say, "click!"

♪ Take a pic

♪ Say, "click!"

♪ I can see and hear the animal in trouble ♪

♪ Zoom in through the forest and out to the sea ♪

♪ To find the animal, just call on me ♪

Hi, I'm click the camera.

We need to find the baby seal.

Seals sound like this.

- Bark, bark!

- Let's zoom through the icy coast

And find the animal that goes...

- Bark, bark!

- Yowl, yowl!

- Does that sound like the baby seal?

No!

That's an arctic fox.

- Hoo, hoo!

- Does that sound like the baby seal?

No!

It's a snowy owl.

- Whistle, whistle!

- Does that sound like the baby seal?

No!

It's a beluga whale.

Let's keep looking.

Remember, ringed seals sound like this.

- Bark, bark!

- Bark, bark!

- Does that sound like the baby seal?

Yes, it does.

You found a baby ringed seal.

Now, you tell diego you found a baby ringed seal.

- What did you find?

A baby ringed seal?

- Look, the baby's snow cave is melting.

- Growl!

- And there's a polar bear.

The baby ringed seal

Doesn't have her snow cave to hide in.

- Diego, you better hurry.

She's really far away.

- Come on!

We've got to rescue her

And bring her to the ringed seal rescue home.

- Diego, we'll get everything ready for the baby ringed seal.

-Esta bien,alicia.

I'll call you when we've got her.

[Lively music]

My snowmobile can turn into a jet ski.

In english, we say, "transform."

In spanish, we say, "transformate."

Say,"transformate."

Louder! Transformate!

Vamonos, amigos.

Let's go rescue the baby ringed seal.

Let's cheer for the ringed seal.

Say, "ringed seal!"

Ringed seal!

- ♪ Go, diego, go

- The baby ringed seal should be nearby.

When you see a baby ringed seal, say, "baby ringed seal."

Yeah, there she is.

- Growl, growl!

- And there's the polar bear.

- Ringed seals are afraid of polar bears.

The polar bear's getting closer.

We've got to get the baby ringed seal

Away from the bear...fast!

But the ice is too thin.

I can't get to the baby ringed seal.

We're going to have to help her get to us.

Ringed seals move over snow and ice by wiggling.

Can you wiggle?

Great!

Let's show the ringed seal how to wiggle to us.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!

It's working.

Keep wiggling.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!

Faster!

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!

- Yay!

You helped me wiggle fast.

Hi, baby ringed seal.

I'm diego. We're animal rescuers.

- Hi, I'm susie.

My snow cave melted, and now I don't have a place to live,

And there are a lot of polar bears out here.

- Aw, don't worry, susie.

We'll take you to the seal rescue home,

Where it's safe and there's lots of ringed seal friends.

- Ooh!

Friends, friends, friends.

Wow, I want to go there. I want to go there!

- Alicia, I found the baby ringed seal.

-Fantastico, hermano.

The seals can't wait for the baby to get here.

- We'll get there soon, alicia.

Come on,amigos!

Let's take susie to the seal rescue home.

- Home, home, home!

I'm going to meet lots of new seal friends.

Oh, I can't wait. Can't wait!

- Growl!

- Uh-oh.

That sounds like the polar bear's nearby.

Where's the polar bear?

Yeah, there she is.

- Grr!

Growl, growl!

- Oh, no bears. No bears.

- Susie doesn't want to run into the polar bear,

But she doesn't know which path to take.

Is the polar bear on the first path

Or the second path?

The second path,correcto.

- So I have to go this way. This way!

Whoa!

- That water's pushing her towards the polar bear.

We've got to help her.

To get away from the bear,

Flap your arms like flippers from side to side like a seal.

Flap, flap, flap!

Mas rapido!

Flap, flap, flap, flap, flap!

[Upbeat music]



Hey, where did susie go?

There she is.

Aw, you don't have to hide anymore, susie.

We made it past the polar bear.

- I did?

Yay, I made it past the bear!

I made it past the bear!

- Hooray!

You helped susie find her way through the icy path,

And you swam super fast.

- You moved your flippers just like me,

And I was super fast.

Super fast!

[Laughs]

Yeah! Come on,amigos.

Let's take susie to the seal rescue home.

- Home, home, home!

[Rumbling noise]

[Laughs] I think susie's hungry.

Seals love to eat shrimp, and they can use their whiskers

To find shrimp on the ocean floor.

- Mmm, shrimp.

Yummy, yummy, yummy!

- Their whiskers can find things just like our fingers.

[Laughs]

Susie's still a baby,

So she doesn't know how to move her whiskers.

Let's all do it.

Make whiskers with your hands, and move your fingers.

Move your fingers. Move your fingers.

Did susie find shrimp?

No, that's a snow boot.

- [Laughs]

I can't eat that.

- [Laughs] let's try again.

Move your fingers. Move your fingers.

Move your fingers!

Did susie find shrimp?

Yeah, she found some shrimp.

- Mmm.

Thanks for helping me.

- And now she's all ready to go.

- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

New friends, new friends, right, diego?

- [Laughs] right.

Vamonos, amigos.

[Beeping]

Hey, that's my storm tracker.

Looks like there's a snowstorm headed our way.

Whoa!

Susie!

Susie?

I can't see her with all this snow.

We've got call out like ring seals to find her.

Say, "bark, bark!"

Louder.

Bark, bark!

- Bark, bark! Bark, bark!

You found me! You found me!

- Great animal calling.

- You sounded just like me.

- Yay, the snowstorm blew away!

- And I'm going to get to my new home

With all my friends.

- Come on,amigos.

Let's take susie to the seal rescue home.

- Home, home, home!

- ♪ Go, diego, go

♪Vamos, diego, vamos ♪

- Look, we're almost to the seal rescue home.

- I'm coming, diego.

- Let's help susie get out of the water.

Let's cheer for her.

Louder!

Leap, ringed seal.

- Thanks for helping.

- Wow, susie really wants to get to her rescue home.

Grr!

Oh, the polar bear is coming!

The rescue home seals made ice holes around their home.

Ringed seals can use ice holes to hide from polar bears.

Quick, we've got to find them.

If you see a hole for susie to hide in,

Say, "hide."

Hide!

- Grr!

- The bear is still coming!

Let's find another hole for susie to hide in.

Hide!

- Grr? Grr.

- Hide!

- Growl!

Growl, growl.

- The polar bear's stuck in that hole.

She needs help.

- Growl!

- Don't worry, polar bear.

We're animal rescuers.

We'll help you.

Mi papialways tells me,

"Ayuda a todos los animales, diego."

I should help all of the animals.

We've got to help the bear.

I'll just shovel the ice around the bear,

And she should be able to break free.

- Thanks.

- Polar bear, this is the ringed seal rescue home.

There are lots of ice holes around here.

It's not safe for you here.

- Oh, I don't want to fall into those holes.

- Susie doesn't know it's safe to come out.

We're going to have to call out like ringed seals.

Say, "bark, bark!"

Louder!

Bark, bark!

- Is she gone, diego?

- Yeah, the polar bear is gone for good.

- Yay!

Seals: bark, bark! Bark, bark!

- Are those my new friends, diego?

- They sure are.

Are you ready to go into your new home?

- Yeah, yeah, yeah!

- [Laughs]

Come on.

[Upbeat music]

- Look, diego's back.

- With a baby ringed seal.

- They're here. - They're here. - They're here.

- Hi. - Welcome. - Hi, baby ringed seal.

- This is susie.

- Hi, susie.

I'm baby jaguar.

Raow, raow!

- Hi.

- Susie, you can live here until you're big and strong.

- And get your rings.

- [Laughs] yeah.

When you're big and strong and get your rings,

You'll be ready to live in the icy coast,

Just like a big seal.

[Lively music]

- ♪ This is the coolest place we've ever known ♪

- ♪ They live in snow caves where they can hide ♪

- ♪ And we splash with our flippers ♪

♪ From side to side

- Come on; let's all flap like ringed seals.

Move your flippers from side to side.

Side to side, side to side.

And flap, flap! Flap, flap, flap!

All: flap, flap. Flap, flap, flap!

- ♪ We wiggle and flap over ice and snow ♪

- ♪ And we all know how to say hello ♪

- Adventure complete.

- We brought susie, the baby ringed seal,

To the ringed seal rescue home.

Seals: hooray!

- You're great at helping animals.

Where it's really hot or really cold?

Correcto!

Ringed seals live where it's really cold.

- Did diego save the baby ringed seal

From a melting ice cave or a muddy river?

Si,from a melting ice cave.

- To get away from the polar bear,

Did the ringed seal hide in trees or in ice holes?

Right, in ice holes.

- We've almost finished the puzzle.

Did diego take the baby ringed seal

To the icy rescue home or the rain forest?

Yeah, to the ringed seal rescue home,

Where she could be safe with all her friends.

- Yay, we solved the puzzle!
