- Whoo! It is really warm outside today.

- [barks] - Smell that air.

- BLUE AND JOSH: [sniffing]

- Oh. - [barks]

- And these flowers. - [barks]

- BLUE AND JOSH: [sniffing] Ahhh!

- Wait a minute.

The flowers are blooming. - [barks]

- [bird singing]

- The birds are singing. - [barks]

- [gasps] Blue!

Today is the first day of...spring!

- [barks]

- Hey, Blue! - [barks]

- We gotta do something special today to celebrate.

What do you want to do on the first day of spring?

- [barks melody

- Oh. Oh, of course! [laughs]

We'll play Blue's Clues to figure out what Blue wants to do

on the first day of spring.

♪ 'Cause it's a really great game ♪

Yes! Mm. Now remember,

Blue's paw print will be on the clues--

You know what we need for Blue's Clues?

- KIDS: Notebook! - Notebook. Right!

- SIDE TABLE: Josh! Over here!

- Huh?

- Oh! Hey, Side Table.

- ♪

- You're outside!

- Uh-huh! It's the first day of spring.

I'm so excited.

Here's your...notebook!

[giggles]

- [laughs] Thanks, Side Table Drawer.

- You're welcome!

- ♪

- I'm really gonna need your help today to figure out

what Blue wants to do on the first day of spring.

You will help me, right?

Oh, you will? Great!

To play Blue's Clues, we gotta find a?

- KIDS: Paw print! - Right! A paw print.

'Cause that's our first?

- KIDS: Clue! - Yeah, a clue!

And we put it in our?

- KIDS: Notebook!

- ♪ Put it in our notebook, 'cause they're whose clues? ♪

- JOSH AND KIDS: ♪ Blue's Clues

- ♪ We gotta find another paw print ♪

♪ 'Cause that's the second clue ♪

♪ Put it in our notebook, 'cause they're whose clues? ♪

- JOSH, KIDS & BLUE: ♪ Blue's Clues

- ♪ We gotta find the last paw print ♪

♪ That's the third clue

♪ Put it in our notebook, 'cause they're whose clues? ♪

- You know what to do.

♪ Sit down on our Thinking Rock ♪

♪ And think, think, think

♪ 'Cause when you use your mind ♪

♪ Take a step at a time

- All right? Let's look for clues outside!

- ♪

- ♪ We're looking for Blue's Clues ♪

Hold on.

[gasps] Googly eyes!

I love googly eyes!

Ooh.

- KID: A clue! - KID: A clue!

- Hm? Oh, yup! I see you!

Oogalah boogalah! [chuckles]

- KID: [giggles] No, a clue!

- Huh? Oh! You see a clue?

Where?

Hm.

- KID: There! - KID: On the eyes!

- On the--

[gasps] Oh!

The eyes are our first clue!

Hey, you know what we need?

Our handy, dandy?

- KIDS: Notebook! - Notebook! Right.

[hums to self] Okay.

So, eyes.

Two circles like this.

And smaller circles we color in for the pupils.

There!

Eyes.

Huh. So what does Blue wanna do

on the first day of spring with eyes?

Hm.

Oh.

Well, we'll need to find two more clues

so we can figure this out.

- FELICIA: Brr.

- Felicia? Come on.

- FELICIA: Hi, Jo-o-osh! - Hi, Felicia.

- [shivers] I want to go swimming,

but I think I'm in the wrong season.

[shivers]

- What season is Felicia in?

Hm.

- KIDS: Winter!

- It's winter. [gasps] Yeah!

- FELICIA: Winter's too co-o-old to swim!

- Well, we'll help you get to a hot season. Hm.

Hop on, Felicia.

- [shivers]

- Oh.

Which season is the hottest?

Winter, spring, summer, or fall?

- KIDS: Summer!

- Summer! Right!

- Thanks! - Here you go.

- [Hawaiian-style music playing]

- Oh, look! There's Fred! And he's raking--

- FRED: [grunts] - --those shells?

- I don't wanna rake shells. I want to rake leaves!

Lots of colorful leaves!

- Hmm.

There aren't any leaves to rake during summer.

But we can help! Hop on, Fred!

- Woo-hoo!

- Mm. Ooh.

Which season has lots of leaves on the ground?

Winter, spring, summer, or fall?

- KID: Fall!

- ♪

- Fall! Yeah!

I can rake, rake, rake!

Aw, thanks!

- No prob-- oh, Phaedrus?

- [sniffing]

- Where are all the blooming tulips?

- Oh!

I think Phaedrus is in the wrong season too!

Oh!

- Yeah!

Tulips, here I come!

Can you put me in the season where tulips have bloomed?

- Sure we can.

[humming]

Hm.

In which season do we see lots of tulips bloom?

Winter, spring, summer, or fall?

- KIDS: Spring!

- [gasps] Yeah! Spring!

Tulips bloom in spring!

We love spring.

- Tulips, yes! Here I come!

[sighs] Thank you.

[sniffs twice] Happy spring!

- Happy spring to you too!

I am so glad we were able to help our felt friends.

[gasps] But we still need to figure out what Blue wants to do

on the first day of spring!

We really need to find two more clues.

Come on.

- ♪ The grass is green, the sky is blue ♪

♪ It's the first day of spring ♪

♪ And I see...

- KIDS: A clue!

- Actually, I was gonna say--

♪ I see daffodils

That's a great song, right?

- KID: A clue! - KID: A clue!

- Oh. Oh! You see a clue!

Where?

- KID: There! - KID: In the sky!

- In the sky?

[gasps]

Hm.

I see lots of clouds, but no c--clue!

Hey!

Our clue is the sky.

Well, we need to put this clue in our handy, dandy?

- KIDS: Notebook!

- Notebook! Right.

[hums to self]

[clears throat] So, the sky.

We'll draw some big, fluffy clouds...

like this.

And then fill in the space all around them...

like this.

There! The sky.

So--ooh. What was our first clue?

- KID: Eyes!

- Eyes, right!

Hm. And now our second clue is...the sky.

Hm.

So, what does Blue wanna do on the first day of spring

with eyes and the sky?

Hm.

Oh. Maybe.

Well, I think we need to find our last clue just to be sure.

- MAILBOX: ♪ Mail time, mail time, mail time, mail time... ♪

- The mail's here!

- MAILBOX: ♪ Mail time

- ♪ Here's the mail, it never fails ♪

♪ It makes me wanna wag my tail ♪

♪ When it comes, I wanna wail

♪ Mail! ♪

- [barks]

- ♪

- Happy spring!

- Oh!

- BLUE AND JOSH: [inhale deeply] Ahh!

- Here's your springtime letter!

- Thanks, Mailbox. - You're welcome.

- We just got a letter!

I can't find my other monarch butterflies.

Can you help me?

- Oh, of course!

We'll help you find the monarch butterflies.

- We're all the same species, so they look just like me.

- Oh. All right! So let's look closely.

- KID: Orange and black!

- BLUE: [barks]

So monarch butterflies have orange and black wings

just like her.

Let's go find your other monarch butterflies!

- [barks]

Hmm. Which are the monarch butterflies?

- KID: The ones with orange and black wings!

- JOSH: Yeah! They look just like you!

They must be monarch butterflies.

- MONARCH MONA: Oh, yes! You found them!

- Hi! I'm Blue Bottle Bruce.

I need help finding

the other blue bottle butterfly species like me!

- Sure thing!

So, I could really use your help.

Let's find those blue bottle butterflies!

- Yes, let's go!

Oh! And we still don't know what Blue wants to do

We need to find our last clue.

- ♪

- [crickets chirping]

- KID: There! - KID: On the star!

[gasps] Oh!

There it is!

There's a clue on the star.

You know what we need?

Our handy, dandy?

- KIDS: Notebook!

- Notebook! Right.

[hums to self] Okay.

And...

[clears throat] So, a star.

I'll draw a line up, down, and then a line up, across,

and back down.

There! A star.

So--wait a minute.

We have all three clues.

We're ready for our--

- KIDS: Thinking Rock!

- --Thinking Ro--oh, right!

Thinking Rock! Let's go.

- ♪

- Okay, now that we're on our Thinking Rock,

let's think!

So, we're trying to figure out what Blue wants to do

on the first day of spring.

And our clues are-- [clears throat]

Eyes.

The sky...

and a star.

Hm. So what does Blue want to do

on the first day of spring with eyes, the sky, and a star?

Oh. Oh, oh!

Maybe she could want to put eyes on all the stars in the sky!

- KIDS: No! - [barks "No"]

- No. Right.

Well...Blue could look with her eyes.

Yeah, yeah!

Maybe she could be looking at something in the sky.

What could Blue be looking at in the sky?

Hm.

- KID: Looking at the stars!

- [barks "Looking at the stars"]

- Looking at the stars. [gasps] Yeah!

Oh, Blue wants to look at the stars in the sky

on the first day of spring! - [barks]

- We just figured out Blue's Clues!

- What did you wish for? - [barks]

- Oh.
