I'm Hubba Hubba, talking

to you from Hoobland,

and I'm about to send

four of my favorite Hoobs

down to Earth, to find

out all about you,

for my great Hoobopaedia.

- Well, hey.

- Ah.

♪ The Hoobs are here ♪

♪ It's a glorious day ♪

♪ Hoobs ♪

(roller squeaks)

♪ Roll the Hoobopastry flat ♪

♪ Backwards, forwards ♪

♪ Just like that ♪

(Tula hums)

(Hooboberries rattle)

- Ah, Hoobiberry pie.

Groove's absolute favorite.

He'll be so pleased.

(roller squeaks)

(Hooboberries rattle)

♪ Never stop ♪

♪ Then put the pastry ♪

♪ On the top ♪

(Tula gasps)

Hoobigalooby!

Who's been eating

my Hooboberries?

(buzzing)

Probably that fly.

- Tula.

- Hmm?

- Did a little fly

come buzzing this way?

- He did, Iver, but please,

will you let him out?

I think he's been

eating my Hooboberries.

- There he is.

- Oh, I'm sure he hasn't.

He's only just come in.

Isn't he Hoobacious?

- No, he's annoying.

Any minute now,

he'll eat some more.

Shoo!

(Iver gasps)

- I wanted him to stay.

I wanted to watch him fly.

Oh, well.

I suppose we should think

up a question Hoob News.

Fancy being able

to fly, like that.

- I'm sorry, Iver, but he

can fly like that outside.

Flies fly outside,

not in our Hoobmobile,

where he'll eat my pie.

(Tula gasps)

Groove!

(Groove grunts)

- I'm sorry, Tula.

I couldn't help myself.

- There, you see,

it wasn't the fly,

and now he's gone.

I do wish we could

find something else

that might fly inside

the Hoobmobile.

Do you have a collection

of things that fly, Groove?

- No, actually, I don't,

but I do have a collection

of things that don't quite

fit into my other collections,

but hey, (grunts)

they're Hoobigroovy anyway.

(Iver laughs)

(Groove sighs)

- There, then.

Oh, what about this?

Broken old Hoobicup.

- Well, we could give it a try.

- Mm-hmm. Ready?

- Yes.

- Fly away, Hoobicup.

(cup crashes)

(Tula squeals)

- What was that?

- It was a Hoobicup

that wouldn't fly.

- Well, I don't

think we should go

throwing things

around like that.

It could be dangerous.

For one thing, it

might damage my pie.

(Groove grunts)

- Your Hoobipie, oh!

- You're right, Tula.

We must concentrate on

thinking of a question.

I must forget about the fly.

- No, Iver, it would be

great to find you something

that would fly inside

the Hoobmobile.

- Yeah, what can fly

inside the Hoobmobile?

- [Distant Voice] Hubba,

Hubba, Hubba, Hubba,

Hubba Hubba Hubba Hubba

- What can fly inside

the Hoobmobile?

That is a Hoobly-groobly

question, Hoobs.

Just the sort of thing

that Hoobs everywhere

will want to know.

- Oh, it's certainly the

thing I want to know.

- I'll be able to put all

sorts of things about flying

into my great Hoobopaedia.

- Hoobigalooby!

So where do we start?

I know, let's see if we can

work out why things fly.

- Well, I'm sure I

could help you there.

Let me see what I've got.

(Hubba Hubba hums)

Oh, now, this might

give you a start.

(mellow instrumental music)

Well they're not flying.

No, no, no.

The fish aren't flying, either.

Aha, but that's flying.

Whoop, whoop, whoop.

That's flying.

Oh, how lovely.

Ah, off it flies.

- Well there were lots of

things that didn't fly.

- And lots of things that did.

- And the things that

did fly all had something

that the things that

didn't fly didn't have.

(Groove chews)

- What?

- [Iver and Tula] Wings!

- Yes.

- So, that's why the

Hoobicup didn't fly.

It has no wings.

I like the butterfly best.

Look, we can put my

pie in the Hoobistudio

when we do Hoob News.

- Uh, does this mean

we don't get to eat it

until much later?

- No, we don't, Groove.

- Aw.

- You've had quite enough

Hooboberries as it is!

- Well the sooner we

answer the question,

the sooner we can eat the pie.

- Oh, right.

What can fly inside

the Hoobmobile?

How about a bird?

- No, I think birds prefer to

live outside, like the fly.

- Okay, a butterfly.

- No, I think the

butterfly's with the bird

and the fly on this.

- An airplane?

- Too big.

- A Hoobipie?

- No wings.

- Ah, but it has got wings.

- Yes, but they're not flappy

out-to-the-side wings, Tula.

Things that fly have flappy

out-to-the-side wings.

- True.

Hey, I'm going to make

Hoobloads of wings

to decorate the studio, too.

- And I'll look after the pie.

We're going to be able

to eat it very soon.

- [Iver and Tula] We will?

- Yes, because I have an answer.

- [Iver and Tula] You do?

- Yeah.

I'm going to invent a machine

to fly in a Hoobmobile.

It'll have wings like

a butterfly or a bird,

and it will be very, very small.

- Well that is great, Groove.

I suppose all we do now is wait.

(hand thumps on table)

Just leave it with me.

- [Distant Voice] Hubba,

Hubba, Hubba Hubba, Hubba

- Tula.

- Well, how about a

story while Groove

designs his flying machine?

I've got one here from a

Tiddlypeep that might tell you

a bit more about

things that fly.

Go on, take a look.

(otherworldly music)

- [Child] Once upon a time,

there lived a rich

and powerful king,

and his beautiful

daughter, the princess.

Three princes from

a nearby kingdom

were in love with the princess,

and wanted to marry her.

They were brothers.

One day, the king

said that the brother

who could bring him the most

wonderful and amazing thing

would be allowed to

marry the princess.

The brothers went away to search

for wonderful and

amazing things.

Ahmed, the youngest, brought

the king a magical apple.

Any sick person who

smelled the apple

was made better at once.

(king laughs)

Ali, the second brother,

brought him a spying tube.

You told it whatever

you wanted to see,

and it showed it to you.

Hussein, the eldest

brought a magic carpet.

You sat on it, and it took you

wherever you wished to go.

(triumphant music)

The king marveled

at these thing,

and did not know how

to choose between them.

Now, the princess was on

a long journey far away.

So, the king asked the spying

tube to show her to him.

(whimsical music)

He looked into the tube,

and saw that she

was very, very ill.

When Hussein heard this,

he quickly asked Ali

to give him the magic apple.

Then, he sat on the

carpet, and made a wish

to go to the princess.

At once, the carpet

flew him to her.

Hussein told her

to smell the apple,

and straight away, the

princess got better.

(princess sighs)

(king laughs)

The king and the other

two brothers agreed

that Hussein should marry her,

for without his magic

carpet, they would never

have been able to help her.

(whimsical music)

- Oh, that's it!

Everyone! Everyone!

The answer to what can

fly in a Hoobmobile is-

- A magic carpet!

- Yes.

- And we must have a

magic carpet somewhere

in the Hoobmobile, but where?

♪ Where, where, where ♪

♪ Where ♪

- Here's where.

It was in my collection

of flattened fairy things,

so I don't have to invent

a machine after all.

- All right.

Here goes then.

I'm going to be like Prince

Hussein in the story.

Hooble, dooble, jump!

Okay, magic carpet.

I'm ready.

- Um, maybe you

should ask it nicely?

- Ask nicely.

Oh, yes, of course.

Please, magic

carpet, will you fly?

Well, I'd be really

grateful if you would,

oh good and wise magic carpet.

If you would be so

kind as to take off

around the Hoobmobile.

In your own time, of course.

- But the sooner the better.

Then we can eat the pie.

- Uh, uh, uh.

It's not going to happen.

- Wait a minute.

Maybe it isn't flying

because it has no wings.

- Ah, yes it does.

- Oh! (grunts)

(Iver lands)

Tula, you are the Hoobiest

groobiest Hoob in Hoobland.

Lets fix them on.

- Yeah, maybe I should

keep working on my machine,

just in case.

- Right, Hoobifix.

(lively piano music)

- Hoobifix.

- Oh. (laughs) Thank you.

(Hoobifix squirts)

- Can I have a Hoobiwipe?

- Hoobiwipe.

(Hoobiwipe squooshes)

- There, just...

Done!

Now, watch this.

(Iver lands)

Please, carpet.

I wish to fly around

the Hoobmobile.

Please.

- Flap the wings, Iver.

Flap the wings.

- Come on, carpet.

Prepare for take-off.

Yes.

Yes, that's it.

That's it, we're off.

We're flying.

- Um, Iver?

- Huh? Oh.

(Iver lands)

- Ow.

- I don't think the carpet's

the answer, after all, do you?

- The problem is,

wings or no wings,

it's not a magic carpet.

- Oh, Iver.

Let me give you a Hoobledigger.

Hoobledooble.

Digger, digger, digger,

digger, digger, digger, digger.

(Tula laughs)

- Thanks, Tula.

A Hoobledigger always

makes you feel better.

- Yeah.

You'll feel much better, once

I've finished my machine.

- [Distant Voice] Hubba,

Hubba, Hubba, Hubba

- It's Hubba Hubba.

- You'll feel much

better after the visit

to the Tiddlypeeps, Iver.

Why don't you ask

them if they can help?

- That's a great

idea, Hubba Hubba.

Let's go.

Come on.

- I'll carry on with

my machine design,

if it's all the same with you.

- Seat belt.

- Mm-hmm.

- [Iver and Tula] We're

off to see the Tiddlypeeps.

(whimsical music)

- [All Children] Yeah!

- [All] Hoobledoob,

Hoobledoob, woop, woop, woop!

- Now, we're trying to find

out about things that fly,

and we've heard that you

might be able to help.

- Our kites fly.

- Do they?

But they haven't got wings?

- They don't need wings.

They need the wind.

- Oh, so how do they work?

- Well, somebody has the kite,

while the other

person has the string.

- I see.

Someone's at the kite,

and way down there,

there's someone on the string,

but what happens next?

- The friend lets go, and

the wind makes it fly.

- I see.

That is truly Hoobacious.

- We're gonna fly kites, now.

Do you wanna come?

- Oh, I'd love to,

but I've got to

get back to the Hoobmobile.

- [All Children]

Hoobletoodledoo!

- Oh, yes.

Hoobotoodledoo.

Tula?

Groove?

Could you ask Hubba Hubba to

order a kite from Hoobnet,

and I will see you

in a Hoobiminute.

(bright lively music)

I can't wait for

our kites to arrive.

Then we can test it out.

- I really can't see what

all the fuss is about.

The question is, "What can

fly in the Hoobmobile,"

and this is the answer.

- Oh, it's fantabihooby, Groove,

but I still think the

kite's the answer.

I'm sure of it.

♪ Ooh-Ooh ♪

♪ Many things we have seen ♪

♪ A kite feels just right ♪

♪ It just might ♪

♪ Fly inside the Hoobmobile ♪

(alarm rings)

- It's here!

- I'll just carry

on with my design.

You know, just in

case we need it.

(Iver laughs)

(Tula gasps)

- I know.

Let's fly it, come on.

You take the string,

and I'll fly it

up into the wind, okay?

- Um, what wind, Iver?

- Oh, yes, I've forgotten.

There's no wind

indoors, is there?

A kite needs wind.

- Never mind.

It'll look lovely in the studio

when we do Hoob News, with

all these wings I've made.

- Hoob News?

Oh, we must find

an answer quickly!

- Or you could just

relax and leave it to me.

- [Distant Voice]

Roma, Roma, Roma.

- It's Roma.

I bet she's found out what

can fly in the Hoobmobile.

Hoobledoop, Roma.

- Hoobledoop, Hoobs.

Now, I'm about to take a

ride in a hot air balloon.

You can see all these beautiful

hot air balloons behind me.

I'm in the basket,

and up above me

is the big balloon.

Now, a big flame has been lit,

and this will heat up all

the air in the big balloon.

When air gets hot, it rises,

so the air inside the

balloon will heat up,

and in a moment, off we'll go.

- So, does it have wings, Roma?

- Wings?

No, of course not.

A balloon would look

ridiculous with wings.

Here comes my pilot, now.

He's gonna get in with me.

Cooey!

Come on baby, light my fire.

Whoa!

(flame roars)

This is Roma Hoob, taking

off in a hot air balloon.

- Oh!

- Okay, so maybe we could

make a little hot air balloon

to fly inside the Hoobmobile.

- Well, maybe, but

we'd have to fill it

with hot air, which would mean

lighting a fire inside.

Bad idea.

- Very bad idea.

- And Hoob News is coming

up in no time at all,

and we've got

absolutely nowhere.

- [Distant Voice]

Hubba, Hubba, Hubba.

- Hoobledoob, Hoobs.

Don't you think another

trip to the Tiddlypeeps

might be fun?

- Fun, but not

entirely necessary,

because in a couple of minutes,

I, Groove, will have the answer.

We'll be eating that Hoobipie

in the blind of a Hoobieye.

- Well, just in

case your machine

isn't ready in time, Groove,

another visit to the

Tiddlypeeps won't hurt.

Come on, Tula!

(ignition rings)

♪ We're off to see

the Tiddlypeeps ♪

♪ On the road we go ♪

- Listen, come

I want to talk to you.

We need your help again.

We've been finding

out about flying,

and how some things

that fly have wings,

and some don't.

Now the problem

is, we need to find

something that can fly

inside our Hoobmobile.

- What's the inside

of a Hoobmobile like?

- Well, it's like the

inside of a very big bus,

only more Hooby, but

it's still far too small

to fly things like an

airplane or a kite in.

- We know something, Iver.

- Do you?

- [All Children] Yes.

- And we can make it right now.

- Can you? What is it?

- [All Children]

A paper airplane.

- A paper airplane?

(lively music)

Wow.

Oh, how do they work?

- Watch.

- Oh, that is just what we need.

Oh, Hooby galooby.

Can I take this one

back to the Hoobmobile?

- Of course, Iver.

(Iver gasps)

- Thank you.

Oh, thank you.

Hoobletoodledoo.

- [All Children]

Hoobletoodledoo.

(Iver mimics airplane flying)

(children laugh)

(whimsical music)

- Hoobacious, or what?

- Hoobly groobly.

I knew the Tiddlypeeps

would know the answer.

- Are you guys ready for this?

- But, Groove, we-

- Now the answer

to the question,

"What will fly in

the Hoobmobile?"

is tada!

- It's a

- [Iver and Tula]

Paper airplane!

- Yeah, like mine.

- And mine.

(Iver and Tula laugh)

- Hoobihooray for Groove.

- [Iver and Tula]

Hoob, Hoob, hooray!

Hoob, Hoob, hooray!

- Oh, it was nothing.

- Wait, it's time for Hoob News!

Bring your design, Groove.

Come on, come on!

(whimsical music)

- Hoobledy-poop to all

you Hoobs, out there.

Welcome to Hoob News, a

show for Hoobs everywhere.

I'm Iver.

- I'm Tula.

- And I'm Groove.

- And today, we've all

been asking the question,

- What can fly in

the Hoobmobile?

- [Iver] We decided that

everything that flies has wings,

but we hadn't seen

anything that could fly

inside a Hoobmobile,

until we came across

- [Tula] A magic, flying carpet.

- [Iver] But, it turned out,

even if you make a carpet wings,

it will only fly if it's magic.

- [Groove] Then I decided

to invent something

that could fly

inside a Hoobmobile.

- [Iver] And I found out

that some things that fly

don't have to have wings,

after all, like kites.

- [Iver and Tula] But, what

they do have to have is wind.

So, they're no good

in a Hoobmobile.

- [Tula] Roma told us about

hot air balloons that fly.

- [Iver] But you need to

fill them with hot air,

which would be

dangerous indoors.

Then some Tiddlypeeps

came up with this

Hoobacious little

airplane made of paper.

- [Groove] Which is

exactly like my invention,

which has wings, and doesn't

need wind or hot air.

- So, there you have it.

The answer to the question,

"What can fly in

a Hoobmobile?" is,

- [All Hoobs] a

Hooble-dooble-duper

paper airplane.

(Hoobs cheer)

- Well, it's thanks to

Iver, Tula, Groove and Roma

for giving Hoobs

everywhere a little peep

into the world of peeps.
