all the musical
instruments came alive!
They loved nothing more than
to play beautiful
music together,
conducted by an old grand
piano called Major Sharp.
But there was a
little horn called Pop
who was never
allowed to join in,
because he always honked
at the wrong time.
- Honk!
- You don't listen to the music.
- [Storyteller] Sneered
the Double Bass,
- You just play
when you want to.

At last, Pop plucked up enough
courage to ask Major Sharp
if he could join in.
- You can play with the others,
so long as you wait for
your turn in the tune.
- [Storyteller] He said.
So the band started to play.
Soon, Pop began
to get impatient.
Just as the violin broke into
her solo, Pop honked loudly.
- Honk!
- Pop!
- [Storyteller]
Shouted Major Sharp.
- If everyone played
when they felt like it
the music would just sound
like a terrible noise.
- Sorry,
- [Storyteller] Said Pop.
The band was coming to
the end of the tune.
Pop thought he had
been left out again.
A little tear
dropped from his eye.
But at that very moment,
Major Sharp gave the nod
for the little
horn to get ready.
Pop stood up, listening
to the other instruments,
and waited for the
right time to play.
Then Major Sharp
gave Pop the signal,
and the little horn gave
the loudest honk he could.
- Honk!
- [Storyteller] All the
instruments cheered.
- That was the most perfectly
timed honk I've ever heard!
- [Storyteller]
Said Major Sharp.
Pop smiled.
Now he knew that the tune
always sounded better
when he waited for the right
place in the music before going
