Post by bunniefuu »

Narrator: The fact that there are those after Main and her strong mana has come to light.

Ferdinand: Main's mana is unbelievably great.

Ferdinand: But if she can't control it, she is a danger to herself and those around her.

Ferdinand: If she is deemed dangerous, Main will be dealt with.

Narrator: Meanwhile, a blue-robed priest she had never seen before

Narrator: appeared before her as she gets ready to head to the Spring Prayer.

Sylvester: Squeak "pwee" for me.

Sylvester: Well? Go on! Squeak.

Sylvester: Go on, go on.

Ferdinand: Clearly, he has a terrible personality.

Ferdinand: Just go ahead and humor him.

Main: Pwee!

Sylvester: Excellent.

Sylvester: Now, keep squeaking!

Main: Pwee! Pwee! Pwee...

Ferdinand: Sylvester.

Sylvester: Come on, come on...

Ferdinand: Main is weak. If you tease her too much, she will die.

Sylvester: What's this supposed to be?

Main: Please give that back!

Sylvester: Whoa, there.

Main: Give it back... please!

Main: Come on... I asked you to give that back.

Main: That's the hair stick that Mom, Dad, and Tuuli made for me!

Main: I hate guys like this!

Damuel: Apprentice Priestess!

Sylvester: Hey, I was just teasing her a bit.

Ferdinand: You can get it back in your hair, can't you?

Main: Yes. Thank you kindly.

Karstedt: Go play with Damuel instead of Main. He won't break as easily.

Ferdinand: That's how Sylvester is with everyone. Don't let it get to you.

Sylvester: Oh, fine.

Sylvester: Want to play, Damuel?

Damuel: Um, please, no!

Ferdinand: Hm... This should do.

Karstedt: Then let us go.

Ferdinand: Damuel, pick Main up.

Ferdinand: Sylvester and Karstedt, I need you to carry these.

Main: Sir Damuel, I'd like you to keep some distance from that blue-robed priest.

Damuel: I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Ferdinand: Karstedt will lead.

Ferdinand: Sylvester and I will be in the back, putting Main and Damuel in the middle.

Main: That's Fran and the others who left earlier.

Main: I wonder if we're going to the winter estate

Main: that's in the farming village closest to the south gate.

Sylvester: Move!

: What the?!

Villager: Wow!

Villager : So cool!

Main: Is the Spring Prayer an event where priests show off various tricks for the farmers?

Karstedt: You don't need to learn anything from him.

Ferdinand: We will now begin the Spring Prayer.

Ferdinand: Mayors, come forth.

Main: Goddess of Water, who brings upon healing and change, Fruhtrane,

Main: and the twelve kindred goddesses at her side...

Main: The God of Life, Ewigleben, has freed thine sister,

Main: the Goddess of Earth, Geduldh. Now, aid her in bringing new life upon this land.

Main: We offer you an invigorating song of joy.

Main: We offer you our prayers and gratitude,

Main: and ask for your pure protection in return.

Main: May you bless all of the life upon this land with happiness.

Main: It's green.

Villagers: We offer the Goddess of Earth, Geduldh, and the Goddess of Water, Fruhtrane,

Villagers: our prayers and gratitude!

Ferdinand: We offer the gods our prayers!

Villagers: We offer the gods our prayers!

Ferdinand: Thus ends the Spring Prayer.

Ferdinand: Follow the will of the gods and live righteously along with the bounty of new life.

Ferdinand: We offer you the gods' blessings.

Main: Where are we?

Ferdinand: This is Baron Blon's summer estate.

Main: Nobles who have been put in charge of watching over farming villages by the lord

Main: spend their time living in the estates in the farming villages

Main: from the Spring Prayer to the Harvest Festival.

Black,Sign: {\fad( , )}Taxes

Main: In the winter, they return to the nobles' district and give their yearly reports and taxes.

Main: So, going around to the farming villages and interacting with the farmers

Main: during the Spring Prayer is very important.

Ferdinand: That building there is where the nobles live, and the annex is where we priests will stay.

Ferdinand: Arno should have already gone by to have it opened.

Arno: Welcome back.

Arno: I would like to get dinner started, but there are only two dining halls.

Arno: What would you like to do?

Ferdinand: We can all eat together in the larger dining hall.

Ferdinand: Just make sure that Main and Sylvester are seated away from each other.

Arno: As you wish.

Ferdinand: All of you should get properly dressed and meet in the dining hall.

Rosina: Welcome back, Lady Main.

Rosina: First, let us get you changed.

Main: I feel alive again.

Rosina: You look beautiful, Lady Main.

Main: Thank you.

Rosina: Hugo and Ella were working very hard on your meal.

Main: Wait, why?

Rosina: They didn't want to be outdone by another chef.

Main: That just means I need to work harder, as well.

Karstedt: Ah...

Karstedt: Once you're properly dressed, you actually look no different than a noble lady.

Main: You are far too kind, Lord Karstedt.

Ferdinand: You have become far more refined during the winter.

Main: Thank you kindly.

Ferdinand: Though I see that you still wear your heart on your sleeve.

Main: You always give too much praise and critique at once, Head Priest!

Ferdinand: Oh mighty King and Queen of the endless skies...

Ferdinand: who doth grace us with thousands upon thousands of lives to consume,

Ferdinand: O mighty Eternal Five who rule the mortal realm,

Ferdinand: I offer thanks and prayers to thee, and do take part in the meal so graciously provided.

Sylvester: Mmm... This smells great.

Sylvester: Why are you the only one with a different meal?

Main: Fran, do you know?

Fran: Because someone else prepared your food.

Main: Because I had someone else prepare my food.

Main: They're using the smaller kitchen to prepare it.

Main: My chef is extremely talented.

Sylvester: Wh-Why are you eating?!

Main: Huh? What do you mean?

Ferdinand: Sylvester was interested in your food, Main.

Main: What? That's what he meant by it smells good?

Main: How was I supposed to know that?

Main: I wouldn't mind giving you half.

Sylvester: H-Half?!

Main: You can't possibly be suggesting that you wanted to take all of a poor commoner's meal...

Sylvester: Half will do just fine.

Main: Now, if you'll please excuse me.

Main: Gentlemen, please enjoy the rest of your meal.

Sylvester: wait.

Sylvester: Let us talk about trading chefs.

Main: Lord Sylvester,

Main: they are chefs who we're borrowing from someplace else.

Main: I cannot make any decisions regarding this trade.

Sylvester: Then I will negotiate with whoever they work for.

: Who is it?

Main: Lord Sylvester, merchants can't say "no" to nobles.

Main: That would end up being an order.

Sylvester: I see.

Main: They are going to be the chefs of a restaurant that will be opening soon.

Sylvester: Ah, a restaurant?

Main: Preparing to open the restaurant and properly

Main: training the chefs involves a lot of money and people.

Main: If you enjoyed their food,

Main: please consider becoming a patron of that restaurant.

Sylvester: Very well. I'll do just that.

Main: Thank you kindly.

Main: For the rest of the night,

Main: we played the harspiel, and...

Karstedt: Since everyone is showcasing their talents, allow me to show you mine.

Main: ...we also saw a sword dance. It was a very long night.

Sylvester: That was cool, wasn't it? Now, praise me.

Main: It was lovely...

Sylvester: You didn't actually mean that. Try again.

Main: I was forced to to praise him over again three times, and I became exhausted.

Main: The next day, we handed over a small holy grail

Main: that we'd poured our mana into at the Dedication Ceremony.

Main: After that, we went around to five different winter estates in a day.

Main: Then the next day, and the day after that, we continued to go to winter estates.

Ferdinand: We'll be going to see Viscount Gerlach next, but we'll be heading to him by carriage.

Main: What? A carriage?

Ferdinand: Let us regroup with the others.

Ferdinand: use this to hide your face.

Ferdinand: Viscount Gerlach is quite interested in you.

Ferdinand: He wanted you to stop by during the Spring Prayer.

Ferdinand: He is very close with the high priest.

Ferdinand: Be on your guard.

Main: So that's what he meant.

Viscount Gerlach: Ah, thank you for coming all this way, Lord Ferdinand.

Viscount Gerlach: Is that the apprentice priestess I've heard so much about?

Ferdinand: Yes.

Viscount Gerlach: You will be staying the night, won't you?

Viscount Gerlach: We will offer you nothing but the best.

Ferdinand: No, we will be staying with Count Leisegang tonight.

Viscount Gerlach: I see.

Viscount Gerlach: That's too bad.

Main: Head Priest...

Main: I don't think I'm feeling very well.

Ferdinand: Then you should go to bed early tonight.

Ferdinand: I will leave the medicine I have prepared with Fran.

Main: Thank you kindly.

Main: This is an attendant's room, but it's very comfy.

Main: I slept so well! I feel all better!

Fran: Good morning, Lady Main.

Fran: This may seem sudden, but the head priest would like to see you.

Ferdinand: Bandits entered here late last night.

Main: Bandits... You mean thieves?

Karstedt: Not quite. We believe they wanted to kidnap you.

Karstedt: Two men snuck into my room last night.

Main: I see. Of course, they wouldn't think the person they're trying to kidnap

Main: would be in an attendant's room.

Karstedt: I tried to catch them as soon as I saw them, but...

Main: Did they get away?

Karstedt: No.

Karstedt: I caught one, let Lord Ferdinand handle him,

Karstedt: then I went after the other one.

Karstedt: He managed to get on a horse and flee.

Karstedt: I was about to pursue him with my highbeast,

Karstedt: but then he and the horse exploded.

Sylvester: The one we captured took his own life as Ferdinand was disarming him.

Main: No...

Ferdinand: We considered not telling you about this incident,

Ferdinand: but we decided it'd be best if you knew what was going on

Ferdinand: since they're after you.

Ferdinand: I'm quite certain that Viscount Gerlach is behind this.

Ferdinand: Be careful, Main.

Main: There's no chance that the culprit is actually Count Leisegang?

Karstedt: No. This is my mother's family home.

Karstedt: They wouldn't dare try to harm someone in my company.

Main: I ate my breakfast, though it went down with difficulty,

Main: and finished my morning and evening duties.

Ferdinand: Now, let us regroup with the carriage.

Main: It's finally over.

Karstedt: An att*ck!

Ferdinand: We will go first.

Main: Sir Damuel, let's hurry, as well!

Damuel: I cannot catch up to their speed with my mana.

Main: Then go ahead and use my mana, too!

Damuel: Thank you!

Main: What is that black thing?

Damuel: That is a God of Darkness barrier.

Damuel: Mana-based att*cks won't work against it.

Damuel: One of the attackers must be a noble!

Main: Head Priest! If mana won't work against the carriage,

Main: please use magic to blast those men away!

Sylvester: Wait! They might just be men from this domain.

Main: Fran and Rosina are more important!

Main: If I pray to the gods, I can use magic, can't I?

Sylvester: Stop her at once!

Ferdinand: I cannot.

Sylvester: What do you mean?!

Ferdinand: But I can at least give her some direction.

Ferdinand: Main! Pray to the wind!

Main: Goddess of Wind that rules over protection, Schutzaria,

Main: and the twelve kindred goddesses at her side...

Ferdinand: keep going so that the God of Darkness barrier continues to devour your mana.

Main: Hear my prayer and grant me holy power!

Main: Grant me a shield of wind that will ward away those who wish to do us harm!

Man A: What the?!

Karstedt: Well done.

Main: I know, right?!

Main: Way to go, shield formed by the power of the Goddess of Wind, Schutzaria!

Damuel: I sensed some mana from the forest just now!

Ferdinand: We will go investigate the forest.

Ferdinand: Damuel, continue protecting Main in the air.

Damuel: Yes, sir!

Sylvester: No!

Main: Huh?

Sylvester: Ferdinand!

Sylvester: Take this!

Main: That was so scary...

Ferdinand: Of course, he would do that.

Sylvester: You stay here, Ferdinand.

Sylvester: We might be dealing with the decoy over there.

Ferdinand: Understood.

Sylvester: Come, Karstedt!

Karstedt: Yes, sir!

Ferdinand: What he did may seem violent, but we are prioritizing your safety.

Main: Huh?

Ferdinand: will you pray with me that they are successful in battle?

Main and Ferdinand: May the God of w*r Angriff, kindred of the God of Fire, Leidenschaft, protect them.

Main: It looks like a phoenix.

Karstedt: Such power.

Main: The carriage! Is the carriage safe?!

Ferdinand: It's perfectly fine.

Main: Oh, thank goodness.

Ferdinand: What's the matter, Main?

Main: Head Priest, I'm out of mana.

Ferdinand: You're out of mana?

Rosina: Lady are you awake?

Main: Rosina...

Rosina: You mustn't move too suddenly.

Rosina: You must have pushed yourself rather hard.

Main: Is everyone okay?

Rosina: Yes. Everyone is fine.

Main: Thank goodness...

Main: By the time I woke up again, the head priest had brought me my medicine.

Ferdinand: Drink this.

Main: He said he'd work on the flavor,

Main: but it was still absolutely awful.

Main: From what I heard later, apparently they didn't know who set up the dark barrier.

Main: Mostly because Lord Karstedt's att*ck turned everything in the area to dust.

Main: Was that because of our prayers?

Ferdinand: It may be.

Ferdinand: Keep quiet until you're spoken to.

Main: Okay...

Ferdinand: You do far too many things that put you in danger.

Ferdinand: You had magical items with you this time, so when we offered our prayers to the gods,

Ferdinand: a spell activated.

Ferdinand: If you had lacked magical items,

Ferdinand: your mana would've lost control and you would've d*ed.

Main: What?!

Main: Wait, didn't we do this all before?

Ferdinand: I'll say it as many times as needed.

Ferdinand: If your mana leaks out of your body until it begins to flow out all at once,

Ferdinand: your body, the vessel, cannot sustain itself.

Ferdinand: Your skin will start to bubble,

Ferdinand: much like when you boil water.

Ferdinand: Once your skin can no longer hold it in, it'll burst, and your flesh—

Main: I can't hear you! I don't want to hear it!

Ferdinand: Hey! I wasn't done talking!

Main: I'm sorry! I'll never do it again!
