[Amy Allan] There's this thing
and it's really, really big.

And it feels bad.

Very dark.

I could see yellow eyes,

and this thing was,
like, seven foot tall.

[Amy] It was summoned
by somebody.

Bad, bad witch.

[Wandah] This person
did bring something in here,

and when she left,
she left it here.

So, I wanna talk
about the bloodbath.

Their bodies were taken out
and buried in unmarked graves.

This thing could cause mayhem

and hell and death
and destruction.

This is my passion,
this is my dream,

and he is not running me out.

[Amy] Whoever
the [bleep] this is

definitely didn't want me to
come here and find this out.

Man, I don't like this.

There's this thing
that comes up.

And it's bad.

Very bad.

It tries to prevent me
from going in.

And I was like,
"Okay, that's weird,"

and it was like
really, really big.

Like huge.

[exhales deeply]

Sorry, I am not
totally feeling well.

[door creaking]

[Amy] Whatever this is,

it's driving me insane.

[Steve DiSchiavi] I'm here in
the city of Madison, Alabama,

just outside of Huntsville.

I got a call
from a lady named Lisa

who owns a metaphysical shop.

Now, you'd think people
in that line of work

would be okay
with the paranormal,

but Lisa sounds scared.

She says something is
attacking her and her customers...

...and threatening
to destroy the business.

She says if we can't help her...

...she's gonna shut
the whole place down.

So, Lisa, this is quite
a shop you got here.

But you've got this problem,

and when we spoke on the phone,

it sounded pretty bad.

What the hell's going
on in this place?

[Lisa] I'm scared
for my customers.

It's escalated to the point

where people are being
ran out of here, att*cked,

scratched, pushed, touched.

Customers are leaving,
not coming back.

I'm sorry.
- [Steve] No, don't be.

You know what, it's not easy
to have to deal with this.

And I keep apologizing
to my customers...

...and, "We're gonna fix it,
we're gonna fix it,"

and I keep apologizing
and I'm tired of apologizing.

Yeah.

All right, so, Lisa,
it's obviously a metaphysical store.

[Lisa] Mmm-hmm.

What exactly are you
guys doing here?

[Lisa] We sell our crystals,

I do the handmade soy candles.

Uh, we have a palm
reader, tarot reader,

we have an energies reader,
we try to help people,

and guide them through
their life path.

So, do you run this
place by yourself,

you got a staff,
what's going on?

This is a picture
of all my staff.

This is Wandah,

she does all
the magnificent artwork.

Of course, that's me, and then
that's my husband, Ed,

he's the carpenter.

Then Carolyn, she does
the energy sessions.

So, Lisa, do me a favor
and, uh, give me a list

of, uh, what you guys
are experiencing here.

[Lisa] We're hearing voices.

We've been seeing
shadow figures.

It's physically
attacking some of us.

[Steve] Okay.
- Especially the customers.

Like the lady
that got scratched.

She was upstairs in that room up here...
- [Steve] Okay.

...and she came flying
down the stairs,

I could hear her run,

she said, "You got
a witch upstairs,

and she doesn't want me here,"

and she flew out that door.
- Really?

Yeah.

Are you guys doing seances,
Ouija board stuff,

summoning the dead,
breaking their balls, you know?

No, sir.

[Steve] Okay.
- I do not allow that in my shop,

but I had a medium here.

I'll be totally honest,
that's when the activity

really got out of hand,
after she left.

[Steve] Okay, that could
be really important.

We'll see what Amy says.

Would it be easier just
to close shop and move on?

If I had to shut
this place down,

it would literally
break my heart.

Okay.

You've got my back,

and I don't want
to be scared anymore.

[chuckling] Okay.

[Lisa] I'm sorry, I didn't think I do this.
- [Steve] Yeah.

I just wanna say you
guys just don't know

how much it means
to me that you're here.

[Amy] I'm seeing
that huge thing.

It's not that old.

Like, it's been here
since, like, the s,

and it was summoned by somebody

to cause problems.

Like, I feel like
it's coming in here.

I don't like it.

I just heard, "Witchcraft,"

and it feels bad,
negative, very dark.

I feel like somebody here
likes practicing this, like...

...dark magic and,
like, has made, like,

a relationship with this
evil [bleep] thing

that's been here
for a long ass time.

So, there aware of it?

This person was
always practicing, like,

not good magic, and this thing,

you know, they,
like, came together.

This person is...

...not a, not a good person.

Do you have any idea
what this person's...

...relationship is
to the place here?

Maybe they work here?

I will say this,
whoever the [bleep] this is...

...definitely didn't want me to
come here and find this out...

...because that thing
tried to prevent me

from even going into the room
to meet dead people.

So, it seems we're
deeper into the store here.

So, what's going on?

Well, we've got security footage

of the back door flying open,

and nobody was around that door.

Okay, we're talking about
this door back in here?

[Lisa] Yes.

[Steve] You said you caught it
on video surveillance, right?

[Lisa] Yes.

Whoa!

All right, this looks like it
might have been a storm,

was it windy that day?

A little bit, yes, it was windy,

that's why when the stuff
flew off the shelves,

I attributed that to the wind.

[Steve] Right, but could the
wind have blown the door open?

[Lisa] No, it's deadbolted.

The only way to open that
door is with a key.

Right, and you're sure nobody went
back there, opened it up by accident?

No, sir.

Okay, anything else?

I'll be at the register,

and something will come up

and start tapping
on the back of my head.

Is it a...

No, no, it's not hard.

It was more like,
"Hey, I'm here."

Okay.

And every once in a while,
I feel like somebody's...

...got my gut in a grip.

It's like somebody's
squeezing me inside.

And how long does the pain last?

Just a few seconds.
- Okay, but enough to get you...

Yeah, enough to get
my attention,

and it'll go away.

[Steve] All right, so,
anything else you can tell me about?

Well, my motion
detector went off,

so, when I got up,
I checked my phone,

and lo and behold,

I saw a child
in the middle of the store.

Unfortunately, I do not
have the footage anymore.

It was wearing a nightdress,

curly blondish hair,
seven or eight years old - Okay.

Did it look solid or was
it an apparition?

It was an apparition.

Okay.

[Amy] I was shown...

...a little boy.

So, about five years old,
I guess.

Wouldn't speak.

So, with this kid,
I start, like,

I keep swallowing
and swallowing and swallowing,

it's, like, okay, maybe it was
a drowning death of some type.

This kid pops out, okay,

and he's like, "Ha, ha, ha!"

But I think that the living
somehow hear this,

like, I think they would hear
laughter or something up here.

Talking.

He's angry. Angry little kid.

He wants attention, and this
is causing problems.

What kind of problems?

Breaking things,
moving things...

uh, and throwing things.

Okay, Lisa, so,
why'd you bring me

to this part of the store?

[Lisa] Because that's where

everybody feels
the most uncomfortable.

I won't go up there...
- Okay.

...unless I absolutely
have to.

Okay, so, what's happening that
makes you so scared up here?

Every time I come
down those stairs,

I feel like something's trying
to push me down them.

How often does that happen?

Every time.

All right, anything else?

Now, I think something from
upstairs followed me home.

One night I was
making my candles,

and all of a sudden,
I feel this branding burn

on my leg...

Okay.
- ...and when I looked down,

the scratches started forming
right in front of my eyes.

I was scared out of my mind,

but I got the feeling
from behind me,

and when I turned
around and looked,

I could see yellow eyes

and this thing was,
like, seven foot tall,

and it felt so evil
and so creepy.

It just, it scared the living
nightmare out of me.

Well, maybe it's trying to
show you what it's capable of

or look like to scare you.

Well, I could also
hear in my head,

"I can do what I want to you."

It was a very, very deep,

gruff, rough voice.

Like something out of a--

[in low voice]
"I can do whatever I...

I mean, just the growl
in the voice.

All right, so, what do
you think this thing wants?

Whatever the hell it is.

I think it wants
to hurt somebody.

Especially me.

Okay.

[Amy] That huge thing that
was summoned creeps me out.

So, it was very, very large,

and, uh, like skeletal-ish.

Didn't have, like,
legs or anything,

it just kinda ended
with a lower spine.

So, it had, like,
a long spinal column,

there was, like, no nose,

you know, it's pretty
skeletal looking,

but there's still
some kind of...

...flesh, I guess.

Long white hair just kinda...

...crazy, and so anyways,

it, like, wraps a spine
around me

and is trying to prevent
me from going in.

Was it ever human?

If it was, it's, like, evil now.

Like, there's no...

...humanity left in it.

I mean, what would you
call it at this point?

Evil.

[Steve] So, Ed, I was talking
to wife, Lisa, earlier,

and, uh, she's really
concerned about

the paranormal
activity in this place.

What are your thoughts on that
as far as what she's telling me?

[Ed] Well, I'm really concerned
about her safety here.

I'm really, uh,

hoping y'all don't find
anything bad here

because it's really bothering her
and I'm really concerned about that.

[Steve] So, as far as
experiences go,

have you had any?

[Ed] When I was
doing renovations,

I would hear some voices.

Like, you think
you hear something,

and you turn around
and there's nothing there.

Did it sound like
the voice was aggressive

or just normal?

Just normal.

Just like a low voice.

But I couldn't even
understand what it was saying.

Is there anything else
you can tell me about?

Yes, one time I was
working upstairs,

and I turned and looked and saw
a man standing on the stairs.

So, what, you got
a good look at this guy?

Yes, yes, he was a very
big, hefty, rough guy.

I could pick him out of a lineup.
- Okay.

He was a well-built man.

He had an overcoat on,
beard, mustache,

kinda rough looking, unshaven,

uh, a flat-brimmed hat.

Any idea what time period this
clothing could have been from?

It looked to be about
th Century clothing.

[Steve] Okay.

So, we're gonna try to figure out
what the hell's going on here,

but let me ask you a question,

if anybody tells your wife
that, you know,

"This place can't be fixed,
you gotta get the hell out of here,"

what's your thoughts on that?

Uh, if it can't be fixed,

then, yeah, we'll probably
try to find another place

because I don't need anything
bad to happen to my wife.

[Amy] So, there's some
dude running around.

He doesn't stop running.

He keeps running around,
running around, running around.

[sinister whispering]

He was here before,
he's here now.

He's almost solid white.

Kind of misty, but solid.

Living people are seeing
him as this, like, thick fog,

uh, in the shape of a person.

They would see him, like,
coming from over there,

running through,
running through.

A lot of movement
with this dude.

So, he's causing problems.

[Steve] So, guys, I appreciate
you meeting me up here.

When I talk to Lisa, she wanted
nothing to do with coming up here.

Are you guys worried about her?

I am sincerely
worried about Lisa.

She's trying to keep
it together.

[Wandah] She's trying...
- Okay.

...but she's growing weaker.

Yeah.

So, when you are up here,
what kind of feeling are you getting?

Feel like someone
is right there...

...and they don't
want you here.

It's kinda creepy.

Wandah, when you're here,
do you feel the same way?

Yes, I do.

What's it feel like for you?

It feels like there's
a presence around me

and that they're
watching what I do.

So, Wandah, what else
have you experienced?

Hearing knocking on the walls.

Nobody on the other side,

and they'll knock three times.

Okay, now these are thick walls.
- Mmm-hmm.

What do you think that is?

I think it's maybe just
letting me know

that we're not alone in here.

So, Carolyn, anything else
you could tell me about it?

[Carolyn] Yes.

There was a day where a
picture that I had in my room

just fell on the floor
and went over the table

on to the floor.

And this picture was hanging?
- Yes.

So, like it got flung?

Yeah.
- Right. Right.

So, when I was
talking to Lisa earlier,

she mentioned there had
been an employee here

who was doing her own stuff

that might have been inviting
the wrong type of spirits in.

Do you think that is what might have
caused some of the problems here?

I feel that this person

did bring something
in here very wrong,

and when she left,
she left it here.

She didn't send it back.

Okay, and now, do you think this is
something she was doing on purpose

or that she didn't realize
what she was doing?

I think she did it on purpose.
- Okay.

[Amy] That guy who's
running around,

he just seems really...

...strung out.

What the [bleep] his problem?

[sinister whispering]

Ooh, I don't like this guy.

I'm getting something
big happening.

Uh, people are panicked,
they're freaking out,

they're [bleep] terrified.

I'm getting way
too much information.

I'm getting a lot of people
that are scared,

they're scared, they're
panicked, and they're...

...freaking out.

Mmm...

[Steve] So, I'm heading
over to meet a local historian

who reached out with some
news that blew me away.

She discovered Lisa's store
was moved from another state...

...and that first location
was the scene of a brutal bloodbath.

Well, Jacque,
thanks for meeting with me

and helping me out with this
case, I appreciate it.

Okay, so, let's get
to the cabin's original location,

where was that?

[Jacque Procter Reeves]
It was in Taft, Tennessee.

Okay, so, how far is Taft
from my client's property?

About miles. Just over
the line into Tennessee.

Okay, so, it's pretty close.

Very.

Do you know
when the cabin was built?

It was first documented in ,

although some
of the family descendants

believe it was built
in upper s.

Okay, so, the cabin at some point
comes to my client's property.

Who lived in it when it was
first built in Tennessee?

At that time it was
William Bartlett Milam...

Okay.
- ...and his wife Lucinda.

And when he passed away,
it went to the second son, Wiley.

[Steve] Okay, so, what do
we know about Wiley?

[Jacque] Wiley was
in the Confederate Army,

serving with Army of Tennessee.

[Steve] I mean,
there's a lot of history here.

[Jacque] Yes.

So, I wanna talk
about the bloodbath.

What's that all about?
What happened?

Sometime before ,

four Union soldiers
entered into the cabin,

and they were k*lled
by someone using

what they called
an Arkansas toothpick.

It was a stylized Kn*fe
from that era.

[Steve] So, we know that Wiley
served with the Confederates.

[Jacque] Right.
- And were they there for him?

We do know that
the Union soldiers

could go into anybody's house

and take whatever provisions
that they needed

or they could take whatever
valuables the family had,

and they could send
them back north.

They call that foraging.

Right. Today we
call it robbery.

That's right
- [chuckling] Okay.

So, we don't know exactly
why they were k*lled.

Only that they were not welcome.

We do know that their
bodies were taken out,

and buried in a family
cemetery in unmarked graves.

Okay, so, we got cabin
that was in Tennessee

about miles
from my client's property

where four people were
stabbed to death, basically.

Then it's moved
to where my client is,

and I'm curious
if my client knew

what the hell she was getting
into when she bought this place.

[Amy] That dude, the dude
who runs around...

...I'm getting a,
something big happening.

Uh, people are panicked,
they're freaking out.

Something about a robbery.

Uh, like a robbery gone wrong.

Uh, hearing that very loud.

And then that evil thing,
it caused...

...possibly a big fight

that k*lled a lot of men.

Four people that d*ed

that it directly had something
to do with their death,

and I think it's caused
a lot of issues.

[Steve] This is unusual,

but I just got a call
from a woman who owns a farm

near the spot where Lisa's
store was first located.

She tells me a bunch of people are
buried in unmarked graves on her land.

Says the place used
to be a poor farm,

and the conditions
were absolutely brutal.

I gotta see this
place for myself.

So, Shari, what kind of people
were sent to this poor farm?

Basically, a place where
they would send people

whether they were poor
or had some indigent problem

like some kind of disability

and they couldn't
support themselves

or some kind
of physical ailment,

and they just, their families
couldn't care for them.

So, how long was it run
as a poor farm here?

It moved out here in ,

and it run nearly years.

It closed down in .

So, on the phone,
you mentioned the conditions

were horrible here. How so?

[Shari McGraw] The conditions
were pretty rough at times.

Here's a couple
of newspaper articles.

[Steve] Urgh,
covered with vermin.

So, these guys were
living in terrible conditions,

it sounds like.

[Shari] Yes.

Typically, when you came out
here, you d*ed here. - Right.

There was about
to people

according to these
two reports here

that d*ed out here.

You know, back then they had
caskets that they kept on hand

so that they were prepared for
when someone would pass away.

[Steve] Outside
of natural causes,

what else did some
of the people die from here?

Back then, people d*ed of things

that are treatable today
like pneumonia.

They had dysentery, cholera,

you know, they could die
of mental illness even.

[Steve] It's too bad.
This is a beautiful property,

but the history's
pretty shameful.

[Amy] I feel sick.

Lots of illness.

Yeah, sick. So sick.

I'm feeling it
from a lot of people.

[cameraman] Is it any
particular kind of illness?

I wanna say something like

hot and cold chills,

nausea, um,

maybe flu

or, like, dysentery.

This is multiple people
being affected by this? - Yeah.

Particular time span?

s.

I don't think that living people
would feel very well being...

...in this space at all.

Horrible nausea.

Horrible stomach issues.

Uh, like, painful heart issues.

Oh, God, not good.

Not good.

[exhaling deeply]

[Steve] So far, I have
a client worried sick

for the safety of her
employees and customers...

...and a cabin where four
people were stabbed to death

and buried in unmarked graves.

But I wanna see
if there's anything else.

Searching through old records,

I come across an article
about a young girl

who was brutally m*rder*d
by her jealous husband

just down the street
from Lisa's property.

I reached out to a retired copy
I know who lives in this area.

He pulled some files
on this case for me,

and says the victim
never got real justice.

Shannon, it's good
to see you again.

So, before we get
to this tragic m*rder

that you talked
about on the phone,

what do we know
about the victim?

Well, the victim in this case
is female Florence Moore.

In , she married a man
named Harry Retus.

The marriage license
says she was ,

well, that's a lie, she was .

Okay.

Do you have any idea what
kind of relationship they had?

Well, it was a very
tumultuous one.

Within a few months
of the wedding

she had moved back home to mama.

All right, Shannon,
let's get to the homicide.

What happened?

On April th of ,

Florence went out
with another man,

James Thomas Binford, age ,

and as they were coming
home from the date,

they have no idea that Harry is
waiting in the bushes with a shotgun.

Not feet away of 'em,
a shotgun blast rings out,

hits Florence in the stomach.

What about this guy James
she went out with,

what happened with him?

Well, instead of hanging around
to help with the investigation,

he goes home and goes to bed.

[chuckling] Okay.

All right, so, he's a real,
uh, stand-up guy, this James.

All right, so, we know
the husband did this sh**ting,

did they ever catch
up to him that night?

They got him pretty quickly.

Okay, what happened?
Did he confess?

Not initially.

Initially, he denies any
involvement with the sh**ting,

but eventually he breaks
down and tells 'em

that he still loved Florence
and that he sh*t to scare her,

he didn't mean to hit her,

and even tells the deputies
where the shotgun is.

And they come back out
to the scene,

they find the shotgun under the house
right where he said it would be.

Okay, so, we got a confession,
we got the m*rder w*apon,

sounds like a pretty good case.

Yeah, they also find footprints
out there where Harry's hiding.

Now, when we spoke on the phone,

you said something about her
not getting justice, the victim.

Well, not really.

He was charged with capital
m*rder, but he takes a plea deal

and deals it down to m*rder two,

and he gets years.

So, he gets years, how much
time does he actually do?

Well, he actually does .

When did he get out?

He was paroled in .

In , he was pardoned of it.

For what reason?
- I have no idea.

What happens after that?

Well, he lives to

where he dies
on Valentine's Day.

That's a little ironic, right?

Right, Cupid and the reaper
got him at the same time.

[Amy] Whoever summoned
that huge evil thing,

they meant to do it.

Do you have any idea what they're
trying to do with this thing?

Curse people. They can send
it to people to cause harm.

Uh, they can do death magic.

I mean, they can do
whatever they want.

They're, like, willfully trying
to mess with people? - Yeah.

Yeah, they're not, like,
messing around and accidentally--

No!

Yeah, when you're doing
[bleep] like that,

you're summoning, you're [bleep]
working with dark energies all the time.

What kind of effects could
those actually have?

Uh, it could k*ll somebody.

Uh, it could [bleep]
up their lives.

It could go
on for generations, I mean...

...depends on who they're pissed
at and why they're doing it.

Bad, bad witch. Mmm.

I saw a lot of horrifying
things on my walk,

but two concerned me the most.

First, the tall evil thing.

The lower part of it
was all spinal column.

Then I'm looking at it
like this, okay?

And it hunched over,

uh, with its face,
like, in my face.

But it was wrapped around me.

It has a rib cage,

uh, that's all skeletal.

The arms were all skeletal

up until you get to its head.

And the hair goes all the way
down the spinal column.

Next I described
the dead little boy

having a tantrum
and breaking things.

He had, uh, like,

a small round head.

Uh, chubby upper cheeks.

The eyes were pretty big,

very mischievous look.

He was average weight.

Oh, his eyelashes
were even longer.

Amy, is this what you saw?

Yes.

[Steve] Now that Amy and I have
completed our investigations,

we're ready to reveal
our findings to each other

and our clients
for the first time.

So, ladies, I'd like
you to meet Amy.

Now, this doesn't
happen too often,

but she had a hell of time
during the walk,

and asked us to move the reveal,
so that's why we're here.

Um, Amy meet Lisa,

she owns the place
you did the walk in,

and this is Wandah,
one of her employees.

Now, I don't even know
if you realized it,

but you were walking
through a metaphysical shop.

Hmm, okay,
that explains some stuff.

[chuckling]

The shop is Lisa's
lifelong dream,

but activity is so bad,

she doesn't know if it's
even safe for her customers

or employees to be there.

So, unless Amy's got some
questions for you guys,

she'll tell us about her walk.

[Amy] So, it was
a difficult walk.

There was so much energy there

and around it.

There were a lot of people,

and they were very, very sick.

I got that these people
were from around the s.

I think the living would feel,
uh, more often than not, sick.

Having the hot and cold
like I did, nausea,

and a lot of really
painful stomach issues.

And now you know why
we aren't there.

So, Lisa, do me a favor
and tell Amy about feeling sick.

I just start feeling
really nauseous,

I get really bad migraines.

Wandah, do you ever
feel sick at work?

Yes, I have.

I get a lot of nausea...

[Steve] Right.
- ...and actual burning up.

[Steve] Well, Amy, the first
thing you should know,

the building where Lisa's business
is has actually been moved.

The cabin was first
built in the s

up in Taft, Tennessee,

which is about miles
away from here.

Now, as far as
the sickness you felt,

when it was in its
original location,

the cabin was right next to
the Lincoln County poor farm.

Now, lots of people were sent there,
the poor, the sick, the mentally ill,

basically, society's outcasts.

People suffered from every
disease known to man.

A lot of dysentery, flu,
tuberculosis, stuff like that.

Now, so many inmates
d*ed on the farm

they kept a rotating
supply of caskets on site.

They don't know for sure...
- Mmm.

...but up to people were
buried in unmarked graves

from to .

Now, do you think this has anything
to do with the sicknesses you felt?

Oh, yeah.

Do you guys know about this
place being near the poor farm?

No, sir. No.
- [Wandah] We knew nothing.

[Steve] Really?
- We did not know that part of the history.

But it actually explains a lot.

[Steve] All right,
so, what else?

Yeah, the next thing is
this little dead child.

The way he appeared to me,

he looks pretty recent.

Like, I wouldn't put him
earlier than the s.

He told me he was five.

He's angry and he does act up.

He wants attention, and this
is causing problems.

What kind of problems?

Breaking things,
moving things...

...uh, and throwing things.

[Steve] Lisa, do me a favor
and explain to Amy

what happened when the door
came flying open.

I'm the only one that has a key,

and it's a bolt lock.

It flew open and things
started flying

and all hell broke loose.

[Steve] This was actually caught
by the store's surveillance camera.

I'll just cue this
video up for ya.

[Lisa on video] Whoa!

[Amy] Wow!

Oh, damn!

[Steve] Lisa, didn't you also see
a kid on your security camera?

[Lisa] Yes.

Through the camera
we saw a child

reaching for the ball

like it wanted
to play with the ball.

[Steve] She saw this
from her app at home,

but unfortunately didn't
keep the recording.

So, we don't know
what the kid looks like.

So, I did have a sketch
done of what I saw.

He looks like
a little rat bastard.

[Wandah] Ooh!

[Wandah] He looks like
the trickster I talked about.

[Amy] So, you've seen him?

[Lisa] Yeah, we call him
the trickster in the cabin.

He goes around just
knocking things down.

Yeah, just misbehaving.

[Lisa] "Hey, I'm here,
notice me"

is the feel I get sometimes.

I get poked at the back of my
head when I'm at the register.

But I've had a few
customers being touched.

That sounds like something
this little kid might be doing.

Yeah.
- [Steve] Yeah. Okay.

Okay, so, anything else?

There was this guy.

He was always moving,
running, running, moving.

I saw him really as a very, uh,

thick, white kind of fog
in the shape of a man.

He's got issues,
he's got problems,

I don't know what they are

'cause he wouldn't frickin'
stop long enough to say much,

but I definitely would think

that you guys
would have seen him.

He may make people
feel sick and anxious,

and there was a lot
of fear and panic with him.

We've had our share
of panic att*cks.

He doesn't quite understand

what happened to him,

and he absolutely can
interact with the physical environment.

Generally think he would
be freaking people out.

Lisa, you had
mentioned the customers

might be experiencing
what this guy might be doing

and running out of the shop.

[chuckling] I could see that.

I've had customers being
slapped across the face.

Mmm, okay.

And another lady
got scratched on her leg,

and they've not come back.

And it's been over a year,

and these people are
not coming back into the shop.

Scared 'em to death.

[Steve] So, Lisa,
when I spoke to Ed,

he told me about
an apparition he saw upstairs.

Yes.

My husband, Ed, saw this
apparition appear on the stairway,

and he was about ' ", '",

wearing a duster,
dark hair and a hat.

Could that be this guy?

Yeah.

Anything on him
when he was alive?

There was a large event

associated with him.

There were four people k*lled.

I kept getting,
"A robbery gone wrong,"

and a male
in particular being like,

"Oh, my God,
this is actually happening."

I spoke to a local historian

who told me about
a deadly att*ck

that reminds me of what you saw.

Uh, it happened some
time during the Civil w*r.

At that time, Wiley Milam
owned the place,

and he was a Confederate soldier.
- Urgh.

[Steve] Four Union
soldiers enter the cabin,

they were coming
to take supplies.

Back then it was
called foraging.

It Brooklyn
we call it a robbery.

The Milams fought back.

All four Union soldiers
were stabbed and k*lled.

Now, they were dragged
out of the house,

and buried in unmarked graves
in the Milam family cemetery.

Mmm.

So, I'm curious if this
guy you saw running around

has something to do with this.

[Amy] I really can't
say for sure,

but it's interesting.

Okay.

[Amy] There's this
other thing there.

It's not good.

I just call it, I, I,
you know, the evil thing.

This thing was huge.

I mean, I would say
about eight feet tall.

I don't know if it
was ever a human,

but, like, because now
it's just lost all humanity,

it's just this nasty thing.

It does not have legs,

the spinal column goes
all the way down,

but it has ribs.

It had, like,
this white crazy hair.

It's pretty much skeletal

except there's some
skin still hanging on.

I did have a sketch done

of what it was trying to do
to me to prevent me...

from going, moving forward.

If you weren't freaked out
before, you will be now.

[Lisa] Wow.

I feel like I'm being squeezed.

Mmm-hmm.

[Amy] Yeah,
that would be this thing.

It's not good.

That is definitely what's
causing our problems.

Definitely.

[Lisa] Carolyn and I
came to see the building,

and the very first time
that we walked in,

we both felt this heavy
oppressive feeling,

and we both got off balance,

and it was like something
literally was trying

to push us right
back out the door.

Yeah. Yeah.
- "You're not welcome."

That would be this thing.

Ooh, wait a minute, you, uh,

you mentioned about something
when you went home,

what you saw.

Yes, I saw this huge,

gigantic seven-foot thing,

and it had glowing yellow eyes,

and told me he can do
whatever he wanted to me.

I was hysterical crying.

So, could this thing
follow her home?

Mmm.

I had never been
so scared in my life.

But why is it at the shop?

It was summoned to cause chaos.

When I went upstairs,

I heard, "Witchcraft."

This is not positive witchcraft,

this is somebody
practicing the dark arts.

Because they are
a dark art practitioner,

they formed a relationship
with this thing.

I don't know if they're
conscious of it or not.

This person has always
dabbled in this, okay?

You had a former employee

who was bringing dead
people into the shop.

Right?

Yeah, she claimed
to be a medium.

Mmm.

She was bringing them in,
but not sending them on.

Her calling in the dead,

I wasn't comfortable with that.

After she left,

uh, things started picking up.

Oh.

Now, you mentioned it's evil
and lost its humanity...

Yes.

...but what's the big
thr*at with this thing?

Left unchecked,

without throwing up barriers,

this thing could cause mayhem

and hell and death
and destruction.

That [bleep] is not winning.

[Wandah] No.
- [Lisa] He's not winning. Mmm-mmm.

This is my passion,
this is my dream,

and he is not running me out.

[owl hooting]

Okay, guys, you finally
know what you're dealing with.

A rat bastard kid...

...the guy who runs
around like a meth head,

and this big
monster-looking thing.

Question is can you
get rid of it,

and if so, what's it gonna take?

For that answer, I'm gonna
turn it over to Amy.

[Amy] First thing
you're going to do

is get rid
of the tall evil thing.

Okay, so, every night
for one month,

burn frankincense and myrrh

at the approximate center
of the location.

This thing will be
absolutely repelled by this.

And I would do this,
anybody that it's followed,

do it at your house as well.

Then, uh, as far as
the running man

and the dead child,

it would be great
to find a medium

who will move on the dead
that are there, okay?

This medium would
go inside the location,

and just put out a call,

"Okay, any dead
people who are here

who would like to move on,
let's do this."

[Steve] And that will
kick this bratty kid

and the running man
out of the store?

Yeah.

Are they about to feel better after
she starts implementing these?

Yeah, it'll take some time,

but you should feel better
and better and better.

Oh, my God, you guys just
took ten tons off me.

Are you gonna do what she says?

I'm on board %.

Thank you so much.

[Wandah] Yeah. - Because you
kept, you kept the family together.

[Wandah] We really do.
- We get to keep our shop.

I'm so happy.
- [Amy chuckling]

[Lisa] I'm so happy.

I was so scared.

I was so scared.

Thank you very, very much.

We got your ass, we got your number...
- [Wandah] Mmm-hmm.

...we got your ticket,
and you're done. You're done.

[Amy] I'm glad I was
able to deliver good news

to Lisa and Wandah.

If they follow my advice
to remove the tall evil thing

and call in a medium
to move on the dead,

I believe their shop
will be a lot safer

for their employees
and customers

for many years to come.

Hi, Amy and Steve.

Just to give you an update,

uh, we took Amy's advice.

Everything here is calmer,

better, nobody's getting sick.

We called the lady in,

and within minutes,
she had the cabin cleared, the door closed,

and that nasty thing
upstairs is gone.

And we really, really,
really appreciate

everything you did for us,

and things are much better.

We don't have customers running
out the door screaming anymore.

And Lisa's happy.

And I'm very happy.

Thank you very much, guys.

Thank you.
