[All] Zigby!

(Upbeat Music)

Oh, are you sure it isn't time for a snack?

We just finished breakfast McMeer,

you can't be hungry already!

Ha, my tummy is always hungry,

and not only that, it never stops being hungry!

Even when I'm sleeping, I dream about food.

[McMeer Sniffs]

I can even smell food now!

[Bertie Sniffs]

I can't smell any.

Look! Meer is right, Zara is having a tea party.

Food!

[McMeer Panting]

Whoa!

You must be Mister McMeer, how do you do?

Uh, um well thanks!

[Laughter]

Laurence and I are having a tea party

without you and friends.

This is Alphonse and his family.

At your service.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Mister Zigby.

Uh, thanks! Same to you, Alphonse.

And I've heard a lot about you, Mister Bertie.

You have?

Would you care to join us for some tea and snacks?.

Don't mind if I do

McMeer, they're for everybody!

Oh-ho, do eat up, there's plenty for everyone.

We ants love collecting food.

Great! Cause I love eating it.

It's just a shame we don't

have anywhere to store our food.

You don't? Why not?

Sadly, our home was washed away by the rain.

Aww, poor ants!

Don't worry, it'll only take us

a week to build a new nest. Right chaps?

A whole week?

It won't take you that long if we help.

Are you sure you're not trotting into trouble Zigby?

We don't know anything about building ant's nest.

This won't be like any other ant nest, Bertie.

It'll be bigger, and better!

Lot's of rooms, windows, and stairs!

It'll be an ant castle!

Ta da!

Presenting Alphonse's ant castle!

Wow! It really is just like a castle.

And thanks to everyone's help,

we built it very quickly!

Look, there's a playground for the little ants.

Aww, how cute!

Zigby!

No need to worry, Bertie.

Our ant kids are settling right in.

(Upbeat Music)

Night night, ants.

AntsNight night, Mister Zigby!

There, Pokey, our favorite bed-time snack.

Warm milk and cookies!

Now, all I need is our favorite story book.

Now, where is it?

No, not that one,

Ah, here it is.

Huh? That's strange, Pokey.

Where's our snack gone?

(Calm Music)

You'll never believe it!

Our bed-time snack disappeared last night

when I wasn't looking!

Maybe someone snuck in and took it?

Well someone snuck into my nest

while I was asleep and

took all the mango muffins I'd baked for breakfast.

Really? You mean there's none left for us?

It's okay McMeer, we'll find something to eat.

Just as soon as we worked out

who the midnight snacker is!

Or midnight snackers!

Maybe it was the ants,

they said they liked collecting food.

Bertie's right, there's a lot

of hungry mouths to feed there.

But they're our friends.

They wouldn't take our food without asking.

Zigby's right, friends wouldn't take food

without asking.

Well, if it's not a friend,

who else could the midnight snacker be?

Uh

Bertie's right, who else could?

I know how to sort this out,

we'll simply ask Alphonse.

(Upbeat Music)

No, no, no, Mister Zigby.

Of course not, but I promise you,

I'll help you find that sneaky snacker

or my name isn't Alphonse Ant!

Okay Alphonse, thanks!

This talk about food is making me so hungry

I could eat anything, even-

Crumbs!

Well, I suppose so...

Wait, I know those crumbs.

They're from my mango muffins!

Midnight snacker must have dropped them last night!

Hm, right in front of the ant castle.

No it's not the ants,

somebody else must have dropped the crumbs.

What are we going to do?

We'll have to find the mysterious snacker somehow.

No, I mean, what are we going to do about breakfast?

[Stomach Grumbles]

Sorry, I fell asleep before supper last night.

Missing supper always makes me extra hungry.

Let's have breakfast now.

And tonight, I'm going to cook us a special supper.

Hear that tummy? Zigby's cooking us

a special supper tonight!

What do you say to that?

[Stomach Growls]

[All Laugh]

(Calm Music)

Mm, pumpkin soup and corn bread for supper, Pokey.

Let's get McMeer and Bertie.

[Owl Sounds]

[Knocking On Door]

McMeer? Supper is ready!

Look at that, Pokey.

McMeer's fallen asleep before supper again.

[McMeer Snores]

Aww, poor McMeer, he's so hungry

but he's so sleepy as well.

Maybe I'd better leave him.

(Calm Music)

Bertie?

Who's there? Ouch!

It's Zigby, uh, what are you doing?

I'm taking all the food out of my nest

so the snacker won't find it

if he comes back tonight.

You can never be too careful.

Well, supper's ready!

(Calm Music)

[Zigby Gasps]

Oh no, the snacker's struck again!

Crazy coconuts, we've got to find

that snacker before all the food

on the island disappears.

Let's think about the clues.

We know the snacker always snacks at night.

And only snacks on food that's been left out.

So, where will the snacker find food

that's been left out tonight?

I don't know, but I'm so glad I took

the food out of my nest and put it in the bushes.

Oh dear!

My nest ! >> Your nest!

We sneak up, and catch the snacker

while they're eating our food.

[Crickets Chirp]

It's the snacker!

Don't worry Bertie, it's just a cricket.

A very big cricket!

Wait for me!

Shh, something's moving over near your nest.

Uh, it's okay, it's just a leaf.

That's no leaf, that's

[In Unison] Alphonse!

And he's holding a cookie crumb!

You were right!

Alphonse is the midnight snacker after all!.

No, No!

Of course not, let me explain Mister Zigby.

It happened earlier this evening.

[Alphonse] I was keeping a look out

for the midnight snacker,

when suddenly, I saw a figure leaving your house

carrying what looked suspiciously like food!.

So I cunningly disguised myself

and followed the figure into the jungle.

[Both] - Uh-huh.

Yes! Hoping to catch the snacker

right in the act of snacking!

But alas, I was too late, all I found was this crumb.

Well, there's one crumb, maybe there's more.

[Zigby] Cool bananas! There's a whole trail.

It should lead straight to the midnight snacker.

Lets follow it!

[Snoring]

What's making that awful sound?

[Snoring Continues]

It's McMeer!

He's asleep, and he's walking.

Sleep walking!

And sleep carrying Al's cake!

Look, now he's sleep carrying the cake

[Alphonse] into his burrow!

[Zigby Laughs]

Looks like we found our midnight snacker.

(Upbeat Music)

[All Laughing]

Congratulations, Mister Zigby.

For solving the mystery of the midnight snacker!

Yay!

At your service, Mister Alphonse.

From now on, Bertie and I

are going to make McMeer a big supper

before he goes to sleep!

Yippee! No more sleep snacking for me.

[All Cheering]

AlphonseWhat a remarkable idea.

(laughing) What do you mean you can't find me?

(gentle piano music)

One, two, three, four. (groans)

Not another slippery slide!

Can we stop playing steps and slippery slides?

I'm not getting anywhere. Ooh -- I know a better game

called eat the mango.

Uh, how do you play that?

There are two rulesfirst, you find a mango,

then you eat it!

Isn't that just called lunch?

(laughing) Oh no, it's completely different.

I eat at least two mangoes for lunch!

LaurenceZigby! Zigby!

Oh, it's not fair, Zigby.

I never win any games.

I don't wanna play games ever again.

(panting) Oh, come on Laurence, it was easy!

Everyone knows these yellow flowers don't grow

on that kind of bush!

See? It's not fair.

Zara always wins.

(music)

What if you just let Laurence win every now and then?

But that would be hard because he's no good at games!

Hey, of all my best brilliant ideas so far,

this one is the best!

I'm going to find a game that Laurence is really good at!

Are you sure you're not trotting into trouble again?

Laurence is very little.

What if there aren't any games that he's good at?

Oh, don't worry Bertie! There are so many games,

I'm sure we'll find one. Come on Zara,

let's get Laurence!

I've got a great idea for a game for Laurence!

Will you help me make it, Bertie?

Is it the mango game? Because then we could just eat

mangoes without playing the game.

Nope, it's completely different.

(playful music)

(singsongy voice) I'm a Hippopotamus dressed in pink,

and I jump, what do you think?

I can do the tap dance, I can do the splits!

I can do the wiggly jiggly just like this!

(laughing)

Your turn, Laurence.

But I'm not a hippopotamus!

You don't have to do what Celine did!

Just jump up and down.

All right, it does look like fun.

Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this -- oh, whoops!

(laughing) Oh Laurence, not bad,

but you need to work on your landing! (giggling)

(calm music)

Are you sure we should be making this game so big?

Yeah! This way, everybody will get to play.

Anyway, I'm hungry. Let's have lunch.

You only just had morning snack!

Did I say lunch? I meant let's play a quick game

of eat the mango!

(twinkling music)

This game doesn't have any ropes, does it?

Because I don't like ropes...

No, Laurence, banana darts is a great game for everybody!

You'll love it. You have to toss the banana darts

and get them to stick onto the board.

Try and get them in the middle!

Zara will show you how easy it is.

(upbeat music)

That's a three, and a six,

and a bullseye makes twenty points! Well done, Zara!

Laurence, are you ready?

Not quite, the darts are very sticky,

and they keep getting stuck on me!

It's okay Laurence, we'll try another game!

(upbeat music)

We've only just started, Laurence, there's plenty

more games to try.

Yeah! Like guess the animal. It's easy!

One of us pretends to be an animal, and the others

have to guess what it is!

Like this.

(meowing)

Um, I know this! It's a...

Cat! Next!

(croaking)

Oh, that's a --

A frog! Do another one!

(blowing horn)

Ooh, this time I've got it! It's an --

I know! Elephant!

Uh, Zara, remember that time you b*at me at a sack race

on the beach and it felt so great?

Ah, yeah! I won by heaps!

Well, wouldn't it be good

if Laurence could feel great like that as well?

So, you're saying I should let him win sometimes?

Okay, Zigby!

Where's Laurence?

He went that way.

(playful music)

(groaning) All those games are just too hard.

I'll never find a game I'm good at.

(panting)

Of course you will, Laurence!

Of course you will.

(twinkling music)

LaurenceWow, look at that!

It's called steps and slippery slides.

When you land on a step square, you climb up the steps.

And when you land on a slide square,

you actually get to slide down a real slide!

So it's fun, even when you're losing.

(exclamations)

Maybe we should have stuck with eat the mango.

Crazy coconuts. We still have to find a game for Laurence."], index ,…}

But we've tried every single game

that everyone on the island knows.

That's it, Bertie! They're other people's games,

invented by them, to play and win and have fun with!

Yeah! Of course Laurence doesn't like them,

it's like he's trying to wear someone else's shoes.

They don't really fit!

Or someone else's hat! It's just not comfortable.

Cool bananas! All we have to do is make up a game

especially for Laurence!

Get ready to play the exciting new game

made especially for Laurence. It's called Laurencing!

(together) Yippee!

It looks very complicated.

Are you sure Laurence will be able to do it?

(laughing) As sure as I am stripey!

It's cleverly designed so only Laurence can win!

So that means we're all going to lose! Okay?

(all speaking at the same time) That's a good idea!

Great!

First, you have to run through here.

Ready, set, (whistle blow)

(laughter)

Now you have to go under the rope --

And get all dirty? Not me.

Now for the wall climb. You have to carry

two banana darts over the wall.

Hmm, banana. Don't mind if I do.

(playful music)

Oh, I know!

Right. Stand behind the line, and knock the ball off.

But you can only use your tail.

Whoah! Well done Laurence. Now run through the poles

to the finish line.

Oh!

Oh!

(all together) Well done Laurence!

Congratulations Laurence,

you are the first ever Laurencing champion!

Are you all right Zara? Thanks for letting Laurence win.

I didn't let him win. He b*at me fair and square!

Let's play again, and this time,

I don't care if I win or not,

because it's the playing part that's the most fun.

You're right.

Last one to the starting line is a rotten mango!

(laughter)

(upbeat cheerful music)
