AllZigby!

(cheery music)

Hey, look everybody!

Look what I discovered.

Wow, a calendar!

You are so lucky, Zigby!

(Zigby laughs)

No, not the calender, McMeer,

look what I found on the calendar, on today's date.

Do you know what this means?

It means today is Bertie's birthday!

AllOh!

Wow, it's Birthday's birthday, I mean, Birthday's Bertie,

I mean--

AllBertie's birthday!

Yeah! >> Yeah!

Yes!

Wouldn't it be fun to throw him a birthday party?

A surprise birthday party?

AllYeah!

Uh, how would it be a surprise if we all know about it?

(Zigby laughs)

It'll be a surprise for Bertie.

We'll prepare the party in secret

and when we're ready, we'll jump out

and say, "Surprise, Bertie!"

Oh, I don't know, Zigby.

Organizing a party without Bertie knowing

is gonna be very tricky.

Yeah, you could be trotting into trouble.

Or we could be trotting

into a tremendous surprise party for Bertie.

Okay, let's do it.

AllYeah!

I'll make the party hats.

I can make some fruit salad.

ZigbyUh-huh.

We can blow up balloons.

ZigbyUh-huh.

We can make decorations.

Oh bananas!

And I can count up to , almost.

Uh, how does that help the birthday party, McMeer?

Oh I thought we were just talking about things we can do.

Well, you can keep watch for Bertie

while I make his birthday cake.

(giggles) Yay!

(light cheery music)

Any sign of Bertie? >> Not yet.

Good because I nearly finished the cake.

There.

Wow, that's the best birthday cake I've ever seen!

Or smelled!

(laughs) Thank you, McMeer.

But I'm just not sure

if it's the best birthday cake I've ever tasted.

Maybe if I...

Not yet, McMeer.

This is for Bertie's surprise party.

And you're supposed to be looking out for him.

BertieLooking out for who?

BothHuh?

(both screaming)

Looking out for you.

Me, why?

Because of this, Zigby's just made this fantastic--

Hat!

Yes, this fantastic hat.

And we wanted to ask you how you think it looks.

Mm, walk around a bit.

Walk?

(Zigby groaning)

It's a wonderful hat, it really suits you.

Oh good.

That's just what I was hoping you'd say, bye.

Yeah, bye.

(light cheery music)

That was close.

But I think we got away with it.

Mm, strange.

I wonder where they're off to in such a hurry.

(cheery music)

We can't hold Bertie's surprise party at my house

'cause Bertie's already there.

Well, you can hold it here.

We've almost finished the balloons.

Don't they look fabulous?

I like the pink ones best.

Hi there!

(all shrieking)

CeleenOh, Bertie!

What are the balloons for?

BothWhat balloons?

(balloon deflating)

Those balloons.

Oh, those balloons.

They're for...

Playing hide and seek.

You know when you're still hiding

and no one can find you and you wanna give a clue,

you let a balloon go like that.

Whoa what a great idea!

Let's play hide and seek.

Uh, sorry, can't do it now, bye.

(cheery music)

Bye.

BothBye.

Strange, I wonder if they're up to something.

Change of plan, we can't hold

Bertie's surprise party at my house.

Or in my garden.

Bertie's surprised as why we were preparing his surprise!

AllZigby!

But it's okay.

He still doesn't know about the party.

Then, let's hold it here.

Hold what where?

(all screaming)

We were talking about holding the...

Holding the test run of these special new vines

that Wink, Tink and Stink have made to swing on.

Vines?

Ow!

Oh, yeah, the vines.

AllWee!

(all screaming)

Oh dear, the special vine didn't work.

We'd better go and make a new one, bye.

(monkeys hooting)

We'll help them, bye.

Yeah, bye. >> Bye.

They've got to be up to something.

Hi, Zigby, I've made the fruit salad.

And I have made the party hats.

Hats?

I can only see one.

Ta-da (giggles).

We were on our way to your house to set up the party.

We can't hold it there now.

We can't hold it at any of our places

because Birtie keeps turning up

and he might discover the surprise.

Then we'll have to go somewhere

that Bertie will never find.

I've got the perfect place,

it's somewhere we've never been before!

Where is it?

I don't know, we've never been there before,

but we'll know it when we get there.

(all giggling)

Clem, El?

Huh, that's funny, they've gone too.

How about this place?

I definitely remember not being here before.

Brilliant, McMeer, this is perfect.

Birtie will never surprise us here.

Now, let's get his party ready.

(all cheering)

Wow, Birtie's gonna be so surprised when he sees all this.

Yes.

But I can't help feeling we've forgotten something.

Something that Birtie's surprise party really needs.

What can it be?

(all gasping)

AllBirtie!

Zigby, McMeer?

And where has everybody gone?

And why have they gone without me?

Crazy coconuts,

I really have trotted into trouble this time.

We've got the perfect party

but Bertie doesn't know where we are.

And we don't know where he is.

Well, we'd better find him soon

because this fruit salad won't stay fresh forever.

And these balloons won't stay blown up forever.

Cool bananas!

That's it!

I know how to get Birtie here.

AllYou do?

As sure as I'm stripy.

(sighs) Everybody's disappeared, even Zigby.

Hey, a hide and seek balloon!

I was right, they were up to something.

Oh they were playing hide and seek (giggles)

and I know where to find them.

Another hide and seek balloon, they must be just up ahead.

Huh?

There's no one here, just a--

AllSurprise!

(all giggling)

A surprise party, for me?

Well, it is your birthday.

It is? >> Yes, look at the calendar.

Oh, you're right, I completely forgotten.

Then that makes it an even bigger surprise.

The best surprise party ever!

AllHurray!

(upbeat music)

Hi, Vicky.

Oh, hi Zigby.

Where are you off to?

I'm just popping around to see Celeen.

Oh, in that case, could you deliver this card for me?

Is this the new hat wearing and whistle blowing game?

Uh, no, I've asked you all here

to tell you about Zigby's Mail Service.

If you want to send someone a letter or even a parcel,

Zigby's Mail Service will deliver it.

How does it work, I hear you ask?

I didn't ask anything.

Just drop your letters and parcels

into this special mailbox and I'll deliver them.

It's that simple.

Are you sure, Zigby?

(laughter)

As sure as I'm stripy.

Hm, well, I'm in!

Let's go and write some letters!

Fabulous.

I can't wait to start.

(upbeat music)

Time to check out the old mailbox.

Let's see if someone's written a letter.

Ah, don't be disappointed if they haven't, Zigby.

Your mail service might take awhile to catch on.

(exclaims)

Whoa!

That's a lot of letters and a pack of parcels!

I think you might be trotting into trouble.

How will you deliver all those?

No problem, Bertie!

That's what mailmen do.

(monkeys hollering)

Who's your letter from?

You!

Who's your letter from?

You!

Who's your letter from? >> Who's your letter from?

Me!

(laughter)

Oh, it's such a good letter.

I'll have to write and thank myself!

(laughter)

(upbeat music)

(whistle blowing)

Letter for Celeen!

Oh!

A letter!

How special.

Here it is.

(exclaims)

Sorry about that Zigby, I've just been digging there.

That's all right, Celeen.

Zigby's Mail Service always delivers!

(upbeat music)

The last letter.

And it's for Clem Chameleon.

But Clem is so good at blending in,

he could be anywhere.

I know.

(whistle blowing)

Ah!

What was that?

Oh, uh, sorry to startle you, Clem,

but Zigby's Mail Service always delivers!

A letter!

Oh, I can't wait to write back.

(upbeat music)

(exclaims loudly)

Bertie was wrong, delivering letters

wasn't trouble, it was fun.

And I can't wait to do it again tomorrow!

(slow music)

Wow!

It looks like everybody has written to everybody!

Twice!

I think you're really trotting into trouble now, Zigby.

Trying to deliver all that?

No problem, Bertie!

Zigby's Mail Service always delivers!

Help me fill the mail sack.

(upbeat music)

(exclaiming)

Thanks, I can take it from here.

(exclaims)

Still no problem.

Zigby's Mail Service will deliver!

With the help of his new mailmen.

New mailmen?

Where?

Right here.

Let's go, mailmen!

(whistle blows)

(exclaims)

Parcel for El!

Oh, it's from Vicky!

I must write her a thank you letter!

Thank you, McMeer, these are all thank you letters

from the friends I've sent parcels to.

I must write some thank you letters

for all their thank you letters.

Without delay.

(laughs softly)

(exclaims tiredly)

All that mail.

We did it!

Of course we did, Zigby's Mail Service always delivers!

(cheering)

Way to go!

(slow music)

Oh, rain!

Oh, we have to deliver the mail in the rain?

Hooray, the rain stopped!

But it's wet all the mail!

And it's washed off all the names.

How do we know who it's supposed to go to?

We can't possibly deliver the mail now.

(gasps)

But Zigby's Mail Service always delivers!

Everyone is going to miss their mail.

Oh, crazy coconuts.

I've really trotted into trouble this time.

If only we knew who sent the mail.

(gasps)

That's it!

Let's take this mail back to our friends

and ask them to put the names back on.

I'll take the parcels!

I'll take the letters!

And I'll take both!

Did you send these parcels?

No, I sent letters and I hope my friends get them

because I've been so busy writing,

I haven't seen them in days.

Did you send these letters?

No, I sent parcels.

And I hope they get delivered because that's how

I stay in touch with my friends these days.

(upbeat music)

Did you send any of these letters?

Or the parcel?

Are you sure?

I can't read or write, so I didn't send anything.

But what if they're from Zara?

I haven't seen her since Zigby's Mail Service started.

I'll go and ask her next.

Well, tell Zara I like getting her letters

but I'd much rather see her.

I miss her.

Cool bananas.

That's how the mail can get delivered!

But first, I'm gonna write everyone a letter.

(upbeat music)

(exclaims)

(exclaims)

(gasping)

We didn't find a single sender.

It looks like Zigby's Mail Service

is not going to deliver after all.

Not only that, but it's kept everyone apart.

Not anymore!

(murmuring excitedly)

What are they doing here?

We got a letter from Zigby saying he needed our help.

[Crowd] Yeah!

And here we are.

So where's all this mail that needs sorting?

Here!

Ah, Celeen, here's my thank you letter

for your thank you letter, for my thank you letter.

And here's the parcel I sent you

to thank you for your parcel.

And here's some letters I wrote to you yesterday.

Oh, it's good to see you again.

You too.

I haven't seen you in ages.

How have you been?

It's all in the letters,

but it's much nicer to tell you in person.

So why don't you come to my place?

I'm sorry Laurence, I forgot you can't read.

How about I read them for you?

Let's do it now.

Yay!

Double yay!

(laughter)

And this is a drawing of me in front of a pineapple.

And this is a drawing of me in front of a palm tree.

Hey, did we tell you our new joke?

Look, Zigby's Mail Service did deliver all the mail!

Yes, but I think I'll give being a mailman

a rest for awhile.

And let everybody talk to each other again.

And we can use Zigby's Mail Service on special days.

How will we know when that will be?

(laughs)

I'll send you all a letter.
