02x12 - Game On

Post by bunniefuu »

Goodnight, goodnight. Parting is such sweet sorrow.

That I should say goodnight till it be morrow.

Thank you, Ms. Roberts.

You were amazing!

You think so?

Alright everyone, please quiet down.

I sincerely hope my tutelage during this...

As I was saying,

I hope my expert tutelage

during this academic year has not been entirely in vain.

I am expecting great things from a few of you, hmm?

You final grades will be posted by Friday.

Class dismissed and have a dramatic summer!

Nothing like the first ice cream cone

of summer break.

Hey, are you OK?

You're dripping. You never drip.

It was my final performance.

I just feel like I could have done better.

How? You not only honored the very essence of Juliet,

you made her your own.

I mean, I'm an OK actress, but you?

You're the best in the class, Brooklyn.

Why are you being so hard on yourself?

Studying with Bertram Livesy was a dream for me.

I really wanted to impress him, but I'm not sure I did.

Well, I am.

And I'm double sure your grade will prove it.

But, now that we're finally finished with finals,

how bout we focus on finally finishing our demo?

Sorry I'm late. Gato and I had a mishap with some taffeta

while prepping for my costume final.

You OK?

You look kind of, uh...

Frazzled? Exhausted? Pooped?

I'm fine. I've just got so much to do.

Finals, the demo, highlights. I mean, look at my roots!

Let's see here.

Oops!

Aw.

Sorry.

Don't worry about it. I'm more worried about you.

I'm fine. I... I'm fine.

Yeah, you said that.

Listen, finishing the demo before you ladies leave

for the summer is coming down to the wire.

And we're still short on funds,

so I've been looking for some new gigs.

Now, keep an open mind...

Elevator inspectors!

Whoa! Whoa!

Next!

Gum scrapers?

Ugh.

Next!

Haunted house tour guides?

Next!

That's all I've got.

Maybe they're just aren't any good side gigs left?

Or at least ones without gum or ghosts.

Maybe what we really need is a night of self care

to relax and reset.

Mi abuelita just sent me a jar of her famous mud mask recipe.

Oh! And there's this new yoga series I've been wanting to stream.

Flying pigeon pose and facials?

That sounds... perfect.

Looking great, guys.

Ahhhh! Ugh!

Check this out.

Hey there, folks.

How would you like the chance to strike it rich

on America's newest game show, Who's Farm is it Anyway?

We're looking for teams to compete for our big grand prize.

So, grab your partner and come on down

to see if you've got what it takes to win major moola.

Auditions start tomorrow, so good luck, y'all.

This could be it.

The answer to all our problems.

Win the grand prize

and we'll have no problem paying for the rest of your demo.

I know we're a little early for auditions,

but I figured if we b*at the crowd,

we'll stand a better chance of getting picked.

Totally.

Being first will show the producers how much we want this.

Guess we aren't the only ones who want this.

Hello, hello.

Contestant hopefuls, thank you for coming.

And so early.

Now, we already have one team selected for today's show,

but we need to find a second team.

Pick us! Pick us! Over here!

This is Who's Farm is it Anyway?

Let's hear some noise!

Barking? Really?

Don't think that qualifies as barnyard.

My chicken cluck isn't as strong.

You two sure are...

- -Quirky.

I like your out-of-the-barn thinking.

And so will the camera. Come with me.

Yes!

Allow me to introduce you to a woman who needs no introduction.

Our host, Phoebe Fentsworth.

- So nice to meet-- -Yeah, yeah, yeah, you two.

Walk and talk, girls. Walk and talk.

I have a show to prepare for.

What noise does a horse make in the winter?

You have 10 seconds.

Starting... now!

I thought horses made the same sound all year round.

Same. I have no idea what...

Girls! What's your answer?

Nayyy!

SIn the famous rhyme, "The Cow Jumped Over the Moon",

where is this moon-jumping cow going?

That's not in the rhyme!

Then we have to make something up.

Girls! Your answer?

To get milked!

Last question.

Answer correctly and you'll be contestants on this very stage.

If not, back to the barnyard you go.

Now, how many eggs do you need

for a full-course breakfast for four?

Well, I can eat two.

Yeah, but Jacks can eat like ten.

And Rafa doesn't even like eggs.

So three, carry the one. Maybe add another dozen?

Beep!

What do you say, girls?

Seventeen!

You are... correct!

Congratulations, you will be today's team two.

Yes! I can't believe it!

Did they really answer all of those questions correctly?

Are you kidding? There are no correct answers.

It's a personality test, Mateo.

I mean, honestly, how long have you worked here?

Alright, follow me.

My parents, Rafa, Jacks and Jayla just got here.

They're finding seats in the audience.

And my mom will have your parents on a video call

so they can watch too.

Perfect. It's gonna be so epic when we win that grand prize.

OK, Barbies. Let's go over a few things.

Starting with how the show works.

You'll take part in three different challenges

against your competitors.

Which ever team wins two out of three

qualifies for the chance to win our big grand prize.

Exciting, am I right?

But before we get the fun under way,

we need to get the paperwork out of the way.

Sign here, here and here.

Perfect.

Off we go, it's show time!

Welcome to...

Who's Farm is it Anyway?!

I love game shows! Woo-hoo!

On today's show we have,

and yes folks, you're hearing this right,

best friends Barbie Roberts and Barbie Roberts.

Isn't that adorable?

Versus the Burke brothers, Roger and Wilhelm.

And the first challenge will be the pen of wiggly pigglies!

Each team has 30 seconds to grab as many of these

muddy little piggies as fast as they can

and put them in their bins.

But, plot twist,

both teams are attached to each other by a rope.

Are you ready, teams?

We've so got this, bro.

Yeah, they should just save everyone the trouble

and give us the grand prize now.

They seem nice.

Whoa!

Ugh!

Ugh!

Ugh!

Whoa! Ahhh!

So far, the Barbies have four pigs and the Burkes have three.

Who's gonna wiggle out the win?

Bro, operation take down.

- -Ahhhhh!

Ha! Yes.

Oh, they want to play? We can play.

Ten seconds left before one of these teams

is one step closer to the piggy bank.

-Behind the back distract? -I thought you'd never ask.

So... Stunning...

The Burkes plucked four pigs from the pen

but the Barbies wrangled a total of five!

Nice work, girls.

You've scored your first victory and taken the early lead.

-Yes! -One down.

Alright! Let's go.

I know them. I'm their manager.

Bro! You seriously need to work on your upper body strength!

I carried us the whole game!

Well, sorry I don't go to the gym everyday!

I have a life!

It's now time for our second challenge,

the corn claw!

Folks, prepare to be amazed, because in this next match,

our contestants must collect as many giant ears of corn

as they can and stack them into a pyramid.

But we're not gonna make it easy on them, folks,

because one team member will work the controls

while the other grabs and stacks the cobs upside down!

So they'll need to "corn-centrate"!

Mateo! We talked about these puns!

Teams! Are you ready?

Burkes, you're up first.

Come on, come on.

They are shockingly good at this.

Come on.

Time's up!

Let's see how many ears of corn the Burkes successfully stacked.

Thirty ears! Wow!

Now, it's the Barbies turn. Can they b*at that number?

Not a chance!

'Cause we cornered the market!

Oh no, you didn't!

Don't make me come up there and...

Sorry. Got a little carried away.

Looking good, Brooklyn!

Think we can speed things up.

Whoa!

Uh-oh. Too much.

Ahh!

Whoa!

Whoa!

Whoa!

Whoaaaa!

Ugh!

Oof! Ouch!

You know what? That's OK, girls.

You'll get 'em next time.

Sorry! So sorry!

It's OK.

Kernel went down the wrong way.

Aw, shucks, girls! The Burkes took that round.

Which means we've got a tie game

as we head into the final challenge.

Yeah!

And today, it's everyone's favorite,

a hard egg to cr*ck!

The teams will have two minutes to fill their cartons

with as many eggs as they can from the conveyor belts.

But did I mention they'll be blindfolded?

-We've still got this. -Totally!

Who ever takes this round will get the chance

to win our big, grand prize.

OK, everybody, you're last challenge begins...

- -Now!

Uh, uh...

Whoa!

Eww!

Uh-oh, things are "egg-celerating!"

So you better get cracking, contestants!

These eggs are so slippery.

It's like they covered them with butter!

Whoa! Oh, oh, oh! Ugh!

And did I mention that we covered the eggs in butter?

Ugh!

Agh!

Malibu, we're forgetting what we do best.

I don't think we have time for a song.

Work as a team. When we do that...

Nothing can stop us!

Ten seconds left!

Whoa! Nice moves, Barbies!

Ugh!

- -That is the end of our final round.

It looks like the Burkes filled 11 cartons.

Nice work, gentlemen.

But the Barbies filled 12!

We did it!

I'm telling Mother it was your fault!

Girls! You're moving on to our grand prize round.

Alright, Barbies, it all comes down to this.

Our big grand prize is behind one of these three barn doors.

Make your selection.

What do you think?

Well, we always say, it takes two.

Barn door number two!

Oh, ho, ho! Congratulations!

You won $1,000 worth of potatoes!

Potatoes?

And that's today's show!

A big thank you to both teams and to our delightful audience.

See ya next time on...

Who's Farm is it Anyway?!

When you said grand prize we thought we'd get money.

Not root vegetables.

Your contract clearly states

our grand prizes are not in cash.

It's in the fine print.

The fine print? Again?

We have got to start reading that.

Think Lyla would take a lifetime supply of potatoes

as payment for studio time?

-Congratulations! -You did so good!

Thanks, but we don't really... Uh, Mom?

Oh, no. Jacks, Jayla, put down the eggs!

It's her! I have so many questions.

Uh, Phoebe!

Hello?

Hello, Ms. Barbie Roberts? Bertram Livesy here.

Magnificent performance yesterday,

your Juliet reminded me of... me!

When I played the lead in The Penguins Dance at Dawn.

Did you see it?

Anyway, I'm calling to offer you a slot

at the highly prestigious acting academy

I'll be opening in the fall.

Seriously? What an amazing honor.

Wait, what about the other Barbie Roberts?

She's right here with me.

No, no. I'm sorry. This offer is just for you.

In fact, you're the only student

from the class receiving an invitation.

Please give it some thought and let me know?

Soon though, yes?

Of course, and thank... you.

No, no, you gotta believe me. It's the truth.

I've been following your career ever since "Wacky Wickets".

Oh, that was my first job out of hosting school.

Mateo! We have a real super fan here!

Bring me an autographed photo, will you?

Great job today, girls.

Ah! And chin up about the potatoes.

You don't even want to know

what's behind the other two doors.

Well, I could see

if the haunted house tour guide job is still open?

Thanks, Rafa, but I think it's time for a new plan.

Definitely. We just don't know what it is yet.

Girls, we've come up with a plan.

We're gonna buy all the potatoes from you!

Are you serious?

We want to reward you girls for all of your hard work.

Both in school and on your music.

We're so proud of how you've made this demo all on your own.

But now it's our turn to help you finish what you started.

So, we've decided to split the cost.

Aww!

Ah! Thank you so much!

And thank you, Mom and Dad.

We couldn't do this without all of you.

Ladies! You're going to actually finish your demo!

And then who knows what's next for us?

Yeah... us!

Jacks, Jayla? Time to go.

This is my chance. Now or never.

Maybe you shouldn't touch...

Phew! Ugh!
