What I was trying to say was,

"Pee-yew!
Someone needs a bath."

Ken Carson, I thought you were nice,
but you're the opposite.

You're the worst!

Wait! Harriet!

I know what you're thinking:
"Ken is nice.

So why was he being mean
to Harriet?"

Well, he wasn't. I was.

Okay, let that sink in.

Only Harriet didn't
know that,

and I wasn't doing
it on purpose.

It was a mix-up.

In fact, the whole week got mixed up,
and it was coming

between me and my best friend
and my sister.

[Ken]
Hey! Barbie, wait up!

-What's the rush?
-Student council stuff.

We're starting to decorate the gym
for the big dance.

Oh.

Is there a dance coming up?

You know there is.

We've been talking about it
for weeks.

Oh...that big dance.

[chuckles]
Okay, quick question.

So like, let's say
you were a girl.

Would it be cool if someone
asked you to go?

Well, A: I am a girl,

and B: I guess it would
depend on who was asking.

Why? Was there someone
you were thinking of asking?

Uh, maybe?

But like, um, what if she said no?

I'd be crushed.
Maybe I shouldn't.

Ken, come on.

Whoever this,
uh, mystery girl crush is,

she'd say yes for sure.

Who wouldn't?
You're so awesome and funny and kind.

Well, thanks.

In that case...

[bell rings]

[Ken] Oh, gotta bounce!

You know how Mr. Sampson
is when you're late.

Huh.

Please.

Daisy DJ-ing again.

Yeah, she's pretty good.

She's always like...

[making record mixing sounds]

Oh yeah.

And then she lays down
some fat beats like...

[b*at-boxing]

Why does she get to perform?

-'Cause she's good?
-And people like her?

And she always plays
the dances.

Well, that was before I got here.

Being up on stage
in front of everyone,

letting the masses bask
in your glory.

That's Tammy territory!

What about me?

I'm the best -looking guy
in school.

[snaps fingers]
I deserve some attention, too.

Huh.
Debatable, but whatever.

How do we take over that stage?

We could form a band.

And perform at the dance.

I got it!

We could form a band
and perform at the dance.

Yes. I love that idea.
Do you play an instrument?

-Nope.
-Me either.

I can play.

Me too.

Well, I guess the band idea's out.

No, it's not.

We have a whole week.

There's nothing
I can't accomplish

when I want something.

All we have to do is convince
the student council

to let us prove
we can do it.

Leave that part to me.

When it comes to Barbie Roberts,
I've got her number.

[cracks knuckles]

[music playing,

your attention...

Show of hands.

How many people think
it's time we opened up

our dance music choices
to other options?

[coughs] Ahem!

[laughing]

Trey, what is this about?

You know Daisy always DJs
the school dances.

People love her music.

That's because they don't know
what they're missing.

I bet there are lots of students
at this school with musical talent

who'd like to play the dance...
well, if they had the chance.

Daisy just gets to do it
because she's your friend.

It's not fair.

He's kinda right, guys.

It's not fair.

A-ha!
She even admits it!

What're you proposing?

-Auditions.
-Let the masses decide.

but they have a point.
