♪ Round Tidmouth Sheds

[whistle toots]

[steam hisses]

[peppy music]

male narrator:

"Hasty Hannah."

♪ ♪

[bird chirping]

narrator: It was

a special day

for Henrietta.

Toby was taking her

to the steam works.

[bell rings]

- Ah, Henrietta.

I think you will be very happy

with your new upholstery.

Your seats will be

both comfortable and stylish.

- [giggling]

How marvelous.

[quirky music]

[crash, metal clanking]

- Sorry, boss!

- Maybe just comfortable.

- But what am I going to do

while you're here, Henrietta?

- Don't worry, Toby.

I'm sure Sir Topham Hat

will find something

to keep you busy.

- [sadly] Mm.

[gentle music]

♪ ♪

[whistle toots]

- What's up with you, Toby?

- It's Henrietta.

She's at the steam works,

and I'm missing her so much.

- Oh!

How long has she been there?

- About minutes.

♪ ♪

[whistle blows]

- Ah, there you are, Toby.

Now, while Henrietta is away,

I've found you a new coach.

Say hello to Hannah!

[guitar riff]

- Hello, Toby!

- Uh, hello, Hannah.

- I'm really excited

to be working with you!

- Oh, very good, very good.

[chuckles]

I'm sure you two

will work splendidly together.

[tense music]

[plodding music]

- What a slow coach

you are, Toby!

Surely you can go

faster than this.

- Hmmph!

[whistle blows]

- Whoo-hoo!

Here comes James!

[train engine chugging]

- Look how fast

that engine's going.

[gasps]

Wow!

- I'm not built to go that fast,

and neither are you.

I always like to stay

steady and safe.

- Really?

Well, maybe today's the day

to blow away the cobwebs

and feel the wind

beneath your wheels!

- I'm quite happy as I am,

thank you, Hannah.

- [sighs]

[gate bells ringing]

♪ ♪

- Toby!

If you went a little faster,

you could get all

your jobs done quickly.

Go on, get a move on!

- But...the gates are shutting!

- You can get through

before they close.

[fiercely]

Speed up!

- Whoa-oh-oh!

[peppy rock music]

♪ ♪

[shouting]

- [honking horn]

Toby!

What are you playing at?

- [laughing]

Faster!

[laughs]

♪ ♪

Ooh, ooh, faster!

Faster!

- But Percy's coming!

- You can get through

ahead of him.

- [shouting]

- [gasps, blows whistle, shouts]

- Whoo-hoo!

- Toby!

You're not an express.

Slow down.

- That was very dangerous,

Hannah!

We should have stopped.

- [laughing]

[pleasant music]

♪ ♪

[peppy rock music]

Whoo!

- Oh!

- [laughing]

Whoo-whee!

[brakes screeching]

- Oh!

- Oh.

Now what's happening?

- We're stopping

to pick up passengers, Hannah.

That's our job.

- Pesky passengers.

I really don't like

hanging around.

[whistle blows]

Come on, Toby!

Let's go, go, go!

[passengers shout]

Whoo-hoo-whee!

♪ ♪

Oh, what a steep hill!

[gasps] Hooray!

Now we'll have some fun.

♪ ♪

- Whoa!

[engine chugging]

Put your brakes on, Hannah!

- Who needs brakes?

- But you're my brake coach.

We're going too fast!

[Hannah laughing]

[metal clanks]

- Faster! Faster! Faster!

- [laughing]

- Whoa-oh-oh!

[shouting]

♪ ♪

[groaning]

- That was brilliant!

[gasps] Let's do it again.

Yay!

narrator: But Toby had

had quite enough speed

for one day.

[slow, pleasant music]

And quite enough of Hannah.

- Toby?

What's happening?

You can't leave me here.

[stammers]

Toby?

Toby?

- Toby?

- Oh, Henrietta.

It was horrible!

Sir Topham Hat made me work

with another coach,

and she wanted me to go fast,

and she called me a slow coach,

and we went through

a red signal!

- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,

slow down.

So what happened

to this other coach?

- I...I left her

on a siding.

- Toby.

You shouldn't have done that.

You need to go back

and collect your coach,

or you'll be in trouble

with Sir Topham Hat.

[engine chugging slowly]

- I expect Henrietta was right.

I shouldn't have left Hannah

on that siding.

What?

But...where has she gone?

[whistle tooting]

- Hi, Toby!

- Hannah?

- Bye, Toby!

Whee!

- Come back!

A carriage like you

isn't built to go so fast!

- Whoo-hoo-whee!

[laughing]

Whoo-hoo, faster!

Whoo-ee!

♪ ♪

Faster, faster, faster!

Whoo!

[laughing]

[metal clanks]

Ooh!

Oh, dear!

My wheels are wobbling!

And my couplings

are rattling!

[metal clanks, Hannah shouts]

[shouting]

- Whoo-hoo,

full speed ahead!

- [whimpering]

Oh!

[whimpers]

[yelping]

[shouting]

[whimpering]

Oh, slow down, James!

[shouting dizzily]

[bell ringing]

- This is all my fault.

I should never have left you

on that siding.

- Oh, Toby.

I'm the one who's to blame.

Going fast can be fun,

even though it can also

be dangerous.

narrator:

Back at the steam works,

Henrietta had finished

having her new seats fitted.

She was waiting for Toby

to collect her.

[bell ringing]

- Henrietta!

- Toby.

- Henrietta!

- Toby!

- Henrietta!

- To--

Hannah?

- Hello, Henrietta.

[chuckles nervously]

- Oh.

Do you two know each other?

- Hannah's my sister.

Hasty Hannah,

we used to call her.

She was always too fast

for her wheels.

- Well, we'll soon

have her fixed up

and looking good as new--

better than new.

- [chuckling] Oh...

thank you.

[pleasant music]

♪ ♪

- I'm glad to have you back,

Henrietta.

- [laughing]

Me too, Toby.

- I'm sure Hannah's learned

her lesson today,

and next time, she'll want

to go a little slower.

- Not if you know my sister.

- [laughs]

Oh!

- Come on! Come on!

You can work faster than that!

[both laughing]

- Faster! Faster! Faster!

- [laughing]

♪ ♪

[steam hisses]

[gentle woodwind music]

[children singing]

[whistle blasts]
