[narrator] Toby is one of the oldest engines

on the island of Sodor.

He works with his faithful coach Henrietta,

taking workers to and from the Ffarquhar Quarry.

[bell dings]

Cheerful Toby may be old,

but he'’s still really useful.

[cows mooing]

[train engine chugging]

I think we should stop by the steam works, Toby.

The steam works? What on Earth for?

For your side plates. They'’re rattling again.

[rattling]

Oh, I don'’t have time to go the steam works, Henrietta.

Sorry to leave you, Henrietta,

but Sir Topham Hatt wants me

to take scrap to the scrap yard now.

[narrator] At the end of the day, Sir Topham Hatt

gathered all the engines together at Knapford Yard.

Toby, you'’re here!

Of course I am, Thomas.

I just needed some coal.

Quiet, everyone, please.

I just want to say, absolutely and categorically,

that Toby the tram engine is not being scrapped.

- [all cheering] - [whistles tooting]

Toby is still a hardworking and really useful engine.

And whoever spread the rumor

that Toby was going to be scrapped

caused a lot of confusion

and probably even some delay.

I don'’t know how that silly rumor came about.

I know! [laughs nervously]

I have no idea how that got started.

[both laugh]
