Little bear, time to get up.

It's cleaning day, and I need your help.

Little bear?

[ Starts to sneeze ]

[ Sneezes loudly ]

Morning, mother.

Ooh, sorry.

I'll finish dusting later.

[ Sneezes ]

Little bear, are you all right?

I think so.

Hmm, your head feels warm.

It does?

I wonder if you have the flu.

The flu?

I should take your temperature.

Temperature?

Now, hold the thermometer under your tongue.

I'm going to bring you some broth.

Hello, little bear.

Hello.

What's that in your mouth?

A thermometer.

I have the fru.

The fru?

How terrible.

What is it?

Sounds serious.

Is it catchy?

Bye, little bear.

Hmm, just as I thought, a slight fever.

Not much, but enough for me.

Is it flu?

Could be.

You'll have to stay in bed today.

All day!

[ Whining ]: oh.

Be sure and drink your broth.

It'll make you feel much better.

[ Cat purrs ] mmm...

Hello, cat.

What's the matter?

I have the flu.

Oh, that's too bad.

[ Purring ]

You should roll in some catnip.

That always makes me feel better.

I don't think so.

Mmm, looks good. [ Slurping ]

So you're sick. Awful.

I knew a cat who had the flu once.

Did he get better?

Yes, but he sneezed so much

His nose got so big and swollen, it almost fell off.

Really?!

[ Sneezes ]

Did my nose fall off?

[ Slurping ]

No, it's still there.

Duck: little bear, are you there?

There you are.

My poor dear.

Do you remember me?

Do you know who I am?

Of course I do.

You're duck.

Oh, thank goodness.

I knew a duck once who got the flu.

She forgot she was a duck

And didn't know how to fly.

Delicious looking honey.

It's for little bear.

You haven't started having rashes yet, have you?

Rashes?

That's what the duck I knew got.

And what happened?

Oh, it was terrible.

The rashes got bigger and redder

And soon she was rubbing herself

Everywhere, on everything.

She started itching

Until she was scratching and scratching.

What's the matter?

Rashes.

I must have a rash.

Oh, dear!

I'll get you something.

Mmm...

Here, you poor dear.

Now, get back into bed or you'll never get better.

[ Sighs with relief ]

[ Stomach gurgling ]

What was that?

My stomach's making noise.

Is it from not eating?

Oh, my.

Stomach ache is definitely

A sign of serious flu.

I've got a temperature, too.

I've got just the thing.

Very good medicine.

I don't want to take medicine.

Oh, you don't take a hot water bottle, you wear it.

Now I'm hot.

Better be careful.

If your fever gets too high

Your ears may swell.

Oh, no.

I think they're burning up!

Wrap his head in a towel.

That will help.

Oh, no!

I can't see.

The flu can affect your eyesight.

[ Little bear grunting ]

Whoa!

I feel so dizzy!

[ Gasps ] flu does that.

[ Gasps ]

[ Tsking ]

[ Gasps ]

My, my.

[ Purring ]

My ears!

My nose!

[ Stomach gurgling ]

Ooh, my stomach!

The rashes!

The honey!

[ Gasps, grunts ]

Oh, no!

[ Squawks loudly ]

What is going on in here?

We were just trying to help little bear get over his flu.

You can help little bear get over his flu by leaving now

And letting him get some rest.

I'll let you know when he's better.

Good-bye.

Get well soon.

Take care.

Mmm, you're so sweet.

Now let's get you cleaned up

And back to bed.

Am I better, mother?

I stayed in bed all day.

Uh-huh.

You're back to normal, little bear.

I'm not sick anymore?

No, you're all better.

How are you feeling, little bear?

Are you better?

I'm normal.

My flu has flown.

[ All cooing ]

This hasn't been such a bad day after all.

I feel pretty good.

That's good news.

Maybe tomorrow you can help me clean the house, top to bottom.

Feel my head again.

Are you sure I'm better?

[ Chuckling ]: oh, no.

You're not going to get away with that.

[ Laughing ]

[ Birds chirping ]

Duck: anyone want to go for a swim in the pond?

Little bear: we already did that this morning.

Cat: let's go find something to eat.

But we've just had lunch.

So?

Then let's go someplace new.

Yeah, someplace we've never been before.

How can we find a place like that?

We'll have to go exploring.

Exploring is one of my favorite things to do.

Mine too!

How do you explore?

So, you're going exploring?

I know a beautiful tree by the bluff in the woods.

And there's a rock stuck in its roots.

Your father and I carved our initials in that rock

Many years ago.

That sounds like a good thing to explore.

Then let's go.

How do we know if we're going the right way?

We're exploring, duck.

There is no right way.

Wow.

No right way.

Oops.

Hello, little bear.

Hello, skunk.

We're going exploring.

Want to come?

No, thank you.

I'm going to take a nap.

I'm thirsty.

Me, too.

Me three.

Good thing we explored some water.

That was fun.

[ Meows, gulps ]

Yes, quite satisfying.

We'll have to go exploring again some time.

But we're not done yet.

We're not?

No. There's a lot more exploring

To do out there.

That looks a bit too far.

Don't you think we should turn back?

No, duck, we have to find that place mother bear told us about.

We should take the explorer's oath.
