[ Quacking ]

All: whoa!

[ Laughing ]

[ Insects chirping ]

[ Hooting ]

[ Clucking ]

Whew!

[ Grunting ]

[ Grunting ]

[ Both grunting ]

[ Hawk screeching ]

Do you like my clouds?

Perfect.

Duck:hello!

We got the corn plants.

Oh...

They do look wilted.

Pitiful.

They need water.

I wish it would rain.

We all wish it would rain.

That's why we're doing the rain dance play.

Let's try the dance one more time. Everybody...

[ To tune of "twinkle, twinkle, little star" ]

♪ Little clouds up in the sky

♪ Gather 'round, don't pass us by ♪

♪ You can give us nice, cool rain ♪

♪ To make our corn plants... Huh?

♪ Grow again...

[ All grunting ]

That wasn't part of the dance.

Cat: here's the water.

Do I stand right here?

Emily: no, no, cat.

You're backstage, with the bucket on the ladder.

Backstage?

I do my line from backstage?

No one will see me.

Oh, stop complaining.

You've got the most important line

In the whole play.

Do you remember it?

How could I forget?

It's only one line.

One word.

Emily: let's practice.

Little bear, start with "dear clouds."

Okay. I say, "dear clouds

What can we do to please you?"

And we say

"What can we do?!

What can we do?!"

Good.

And what do you say, cat?

"Dance."

One word-- "dance."

Excellent.

And then we do our rain dance.

And finally, at the end of the dance...

Cat?

I finally appear at the end of the dance.

I dump the bucket.

And we pretend it's rain.

And we pretend it's rain.[ Hoots ]

[ Clanging ]

[ Chattering ]

[ Clanging continues ]

[ Chattering ]

[ Murmuring ]

Little bear: okay?

[ Clears throat ]

[ Applauding and cheering ]

[ Sighing ]

Are you sad, princess satiwah?

I am sad, brave one.

The corn plants are wilted.

The poor things need water.

They can't live without water.

Without water...

They will die, die, die!

But look at the sky.

[ Audience chuckling ]

Father bear: look at cat.

Psst. Cat, not yet.

[ Chuckling ]

Oh, great clouds in the sky

We need your rain!

Please, send the rain!

Send lightning.

Lightning!

Send thunder.

Thunder!thunder!

[ Clanging ]

Stop! Stop! Enough!

[ Laughing ]

Little bear: great clouds!

We send our arrows to the great clouds

To bring the rain.

[ Softly ]: get your arrows.

[ Whispering ]: what?

The arrows.

Oh, the arrows!

[ Audience laughing ]

[ Giggling ]: arrows for rain!

All: arrows for rain!

[ Meowing ]

Hey!

Watch it!

Sorry, great cloud.

[ Audience laughing ]

Our hopes are for princess satiwah.

She worries about the corn.

Corn is food for us all.

Corn is food for us all!

We'd be so thankful for the rain if you have some to spare.

If you have some to spare!

Little bear: dear clouds

What can we do to please you?

What can we do?!

What can we do to please you?

[ Softly ]: cat, it's you're one big line.

What can we do?

Cat: somersaults!

Hey![ Grumbling ]

Cat: backflips!

Backflips?

Stand on your heads!

Hen: oh, cat

Cut it out.

[ Softly ]: your supposed to say "dance!"

It's a rain dance play.

He's supposed to say "dance."

[ Laughing ]

Did someone say "dance"?

You want to dance?

So, dance.

Get down from there, silly.

Emily: never mind.

Let's dance.

♪ Little clouds up in the sky

[ Thunder rumbling ]♪ you can give us nice, cool rain ♪

In buckets, if you like.

[ Softly ]: hurry up, cat.

[ Thundering ]

Wow, cat!

That was a big bucket!

No, wait. It's raining.

All: ♪ the old bear is snoring

♪ He rubbed his shoulder on a great big boulder ♪

♪ And he wouldn't get up in the morning. ♪

Do you think we really made it rain?

I don't know.

Wa-hah!

[ Meowing ]

But I know I'm getting soaked.

Little bear: so, how many apples are there?

Wait. I'm the teacher. Remember?

So, how many apples are there?

Very good.

And how many lemons?

Then, how many fruits are there all together?

Mother bear: children!

We can't. We're in school.

[ Train chiming ]will lucy go to school, too?

[ Door opens ]

[ Wind blowing ]brrr!

I'd better see emily home before it starts.

[ Laughing ]

We don't want to get caught in the rain.

You know how lucy doesn't like to get wet.

Lucy's going to miss you.

Lucy, say good-bye to little bear.

[ Train chiming ]

You know, lucy doesn't really want to leave.

Can she stay with you?

[ Sadly ]: mm-hmm.
