[Birds singing]

[Owl hooting...]

[Hen squawks]

Cat: boo!

[Squawking]

All: whoa!

[All laughing]

We're not having much luck

Fishing today, little bear.

I guess the fish don't know it's your birthday.

No, probably not.

Well, maybe we'll leave it for another time.

It's still a good day to be outside, though.

Nice and sunny and cold.

[Grandfather bear laughing]

[Laughing]

I don't have a present for you yet.

Oh, thank you, little bear--

I have everything I want.

Isn't there something?

Well, when I was a little bear

All I ever wanted was to go sailing on my birthday

But you can't do that in the middle of winter.

Not with the lake covered in ice.

Whoa...

[Grunts]

[Gasps]

What if we had a boat

That could slide across the ice?

Hmm...

I remember seeing a boat like that once.

We could make one.

An ice boat.

Yes.

That's true.

Maybe we could.

Now...

Let's see.

What do we have down here?

You have lots of stuff.

Well, I love to tinker.

And you do collect a few things over the years.

Let's see... An ice boat.

What are we going to need?

I think the first thing we need is a boat.

[Laughs]

Right you are, little bear.

That's a good idea.

What about the canoe?

Yes.

That might work.

What else do we need?

Well, let's see, we'll need a mast...

And a boom...

And a sail...

And... Now be careful

Little bear.

Oh!

Ice skates.

Perfect.

Those were your mother's skates

When she was a little cub.

Hmm...

Interesting.

What about this?

I don't think we'll need that.

Not unless we're going to sail at night.

[Both laugh]

Can we make a sail

Out of this?

Sure.

And we can use this old paddle for a mast.

Hello, down there.

Hello, grandmother bear.

We're tinkering.

Tinkering?

Little bear is helping me build an ice boat.

For grandfather bear's birthday.

Well, I think that's a lovely idea.

And don't forget, I'm baking a nice cake for later.

Both: mmm...

Mother bear will be surprised

To see that we've done with her old skates.

She certainly will.

Can I paint something on the sail, grandfather bear?

Of course.

How do you write "happy birthday"?

Well...

You have to start with an "h," like this.

Then what?

Next is an "a."

Then what?

"P."

There's one more thing we need.

[Laughing]

It's for good luck.

That will be our mascot.

Are ice boats fast, grandfather bear?

Oh, they can be.

It all depends on the wind.

I hope we have lots of wind.

I hope so, too.

It looks quite calm just now.

It's beautiful.

It certainly is.

All we need is the wind.

Come on, lucky mascot.

Bring us some wind.

[Birds chirping]

It's working, little bear.

It's working.

Let's give it a try.

All right, sailor, hoist the sail!

Hoist the sail!

"Happy birthday."

Thank you, little bear.

Cast off!

Aye aye, grandfather bear.

Whoa, we're moving.

Hold on tight.

Coming about.

Watch your head, little bear.

Aye aye, captain.

Little bear: whee!

Look over there.

Mother bear: there they are.

Grandmother bear: my goodness.

Isn't that beautiful?

Look at that ice boat go!

Ahoy there!

Ahoy there, mateys.

Let's show them what we got, little bear.

Little bear: whee!

All: happy birthday, grandfather bear.

Thank you, everyone.

Thank you.

[Begins to blow]

Aren't you going to make a wish?

Oh, I already had my wish come true today.

You went sailing on your birthday.

That's right, little bear

And it's the best birthday I've ever had.

[Blowing]

Hmm... You need a face.

There.

Now, should I make you happy?

Or sad?

Oops!

Ooh!

Hey!

Interesting.

Oh!

Huh?

[Grunts]

Oof!

Ow!

Who's doing that?

Where did you come from?

Oh, what happened to your leg?

[Whimpers]

I won't hurt you.

There.

That's better.

It's getting late.

I have to go home now.

Bye, baby deer.

[Whimpers]

You should go home now, too.

What's the matter?

Are you lost?

[Wind blowing...]

You'd better come home with me.

There.

That'll heal up in no time.

I wonder how long she's been lost.

Her mother and father

Must be very worried about her.

[Yawns]

I think someone needs to go to bed.

Good night, baby deer.

It's your bedtime, too, little bear.

All right.

Good morning, little bear.

Good morning to you, too.

You look much better today.

Mmm...

Pancakes.

Yes. And I've got a bottle

For your baby deer over here.

[Sniffing]

[Slurps]

[Crashing]

Oh, no!

You'd better feed her

In your room, little bear.

Come on, baby deer.

Milk.come on.

[Sighs]

See?

This is the big monster...

And this is the little monster.

[Crunch]

Hey!

Hmm, maybe reading's

Not a good idea.

I know!

Want to pull me?

[Little bear laughing]

Faster!

Look out!

Whoa!

Oof!

Oof!

[Laughs]

Hey!

Do you think you two

Could find a quieter game to play?

Oh. Sorry, father bear.

[Laughs]

Okay, just a short ride.

We have to be quieter.

Shh! Quieter!

Where did you go?

Hmm...

[Giggles]

I guess you want to play hide-and-seek.

Okay, it's my turn to hide.

[Licks]

[Little bear giggles]

Your turn to hide.

I'll count to ten.

One, two, three...

Four, five...

Six, seven...

Eight, nine, ten.

Ready or not, here I come!

Maybe the kitchen.

[Father bear laughs]

There you are!

That was a good hiding place.

Yes, she's a smart baby deer.

[Whimpers]

Hey!

My watch!

Don't worry, I'll get it.

Calm down now.

Easy now.

Just give me the watch.

[Glass breaks]

Uh-oh.

Oh, my.

What happened here?

The baby deer got a little excited.

She thought we were playing a game.

[Whimpers]

Well, her leg is certainly better.

Little bear, don't you think

It's time we took the baby deer home?

But this is her home now.

What about her mother and father?

Don't you think the baby deer misses them?

Well... I would miss you.

Want to go home?

This is where I found the baby deer.

I was making this snow bear when she bumped me.

Then I bet her parents

Aren't too far away.

Let's hide and wait for them.

[Sniffing]

[Whimpers]

I guess I won't see my baby deer again.

Oh, I don't know, little bear.

You both live in the same woods.

Mm-hmm.

Oof... Ooh!

Hey!

[Licks]

[Laughs]

Maybe she won't forget me after all.

Come on.

Let's go home.

Hocus-pocus.

[Laughs]

[Humming]

[Clears throat]

Hello, little bear.

You can't see me, mother bear.

Oh?

I'm wearing my magic cape.

When I turn around and say the magic words...

Hocus-pocus...

Then I become invisible.

[Laughs]

Oh, dear.

I wonder where little bear went.

I'm right here.

Where?

I can't see you.

[Little bear laughs]

Now where did that bowl go?

[Gasps]

How did it get over here?

[Laughing]

Now I turn around the other way...

Hocus-pocus...

And you can see me again.

That's a very good magic cape, little bear.

I'm going outside to play now.

Lunch will be ready soon.

All right, mother bear.

Hello, little bear.

We're going to play hide-and-seek.

You can't see me, duck.

I can't?

No, because when I wear my magic cape and turn around

And say the magic words hocus-pocus...

Ooh!

...then I'm invisible.

Hello, duck.

Hello, duck.

Hello, little bear.

Hello, little bear.

You can't see little bear.

We can't?

Why not?

Because I'm wearing a magic cape.

A magic cape?!

How does it work?

Watch. I'll show you.

Hocus-pocus.

Oh.

Now you see me...

Hocus-pocus...

Okay.

Now you don't.

Oh.

It's magic.

Hello, everyone.

Hello, owl.

Are we going to play hide-and-seek?

Little bear isn't here.

Hmm...

Then who's that?

I'm the invisible little bear.

Okay.

Let's play hide-and-seek.

I'll be "it."

One...

Two...

Three...

[Snickering]

Five...

Six, seven...

Little bear, you better hide.

Owl can't see me.

Oh.

That's right.

Ten.

Ready or not, here I come.

I found you, little bear.

Duck:owl...

Can't you see little bear is invisible?

Oh, yes, so he is.

I didn't see little bear

But I found you, duck.

Aw!

Thank you, duck.

You're welcome.

Now I have to find hen and cat.

[Squawks]

I found you, hen.

That's not fair.

Now where could cat be?

[Little bear laughing]

Hmm...

Coochie-coochie-coo.

[Cat laughs]

Hey, hey, cut it out.

[Yowls]

I found you, cat.

Somebody tickled me.

Little bear...

That's cheating.

Well, I found everybody.

Except little bear.

No one knows where I am or where I've been.

♪ La la la la la...

Should we play another game of hide-and-seek?

I don't think it's much fun playing hide-and-seek

With someone who's invisible.

What if we were all invisible?

You can't be.

You need a magic cape.

No, we don't.

A magic cape is merely an accessory.

All you have to do...

Is turn around.

And say the magic word.

Hokey... Poker.

Cat: duck! Duck!

Where are you?

Am I invisible?

Yes, duck, you are.

Huh! Owl is right.

We don't need a cape.

[Laughs]

I like being invisible.

[Quacking loudly]

Hocus-pocus... And no one can see me.

[Meows]

Hocus-pocus!

Can't see me!

[Laughing]

[Duck quacks]

Hocus-pocus...

Or me.

[Hoots]

Okay, little bear, we're all invisible.

Now we'll play

Hide-and-seek again

And you're it.

All right.

One, two, three, four, five

[Quickly]: six, seven, eight...

Nine, ten!

Ready or not, here I come!

Here I come?

Ready or not?

[Groans]

You can't see us, little bear.

We're invisible.

We're not even here.

Nowhere in sight.

But...

Oh.

I think I'll go home for lunch now.

[Groans]

Now where is my little bear?

His lunch is going to get cold.

Here I am.

Oh, my!

Who said that?

It's me, mother bear.

Little bear?

Is that you?

Hocus-pocus.

Oh, there you are.

I don't want to be invisible anymore.

Oh?

[Meow]shh!

Little bear: I miss seeing all my friends.

Mother bear: well, little bear

I'm sure they miss seeing you, too.

[Knocking]

I wonder who

That could be.

Hello, duck.

Is that really you, little bear?

Yes, duck.

I'm not invisible anymore.

That's good!

[Giggles]

I found him!

I found little bear!

And I found you, too, duck.

I found all of you.

[All laughing]

Duck: can I be "it" this time?

It's my turn.

Little bear: okay.
