- Hi! I'’m Calvin.

Welcome to Mutt & Stuff.

Hey, Zippy, you want to practice your soccer goalie moves?

- [barks]

- Great. Wait till you see this.



Okay, Zippy. You ready?

- [barks]

[suspenseful music]

[triumphant music]

- Whoa! I can'’t get anything passed you.

Zippy is pumped because today we'’re playing soccer

in the Big World Pup game.

- [barks] - [chuckles]

Our class is playing

against the best team in the league.

- [barking]

- You'’re right, Zippy.

We better start class and get practicing.

You know what to do.

[playful music]

[buzzer blares]



Thanks, Zippy.

[bell ringing]

Good boy.



- Come on in and kick start the day, soccer doggies.

[chuckles] Go, go, go!

- Calling all dogs, it'’s soccer day!

Oh, hey, Stuff. You'’re ready?

- Oh, yes, I am.

I'’m gonna score a touchdown.

[stammers] Hold on.

No, I'’m gonna score a home run.

Uh...

Bingo?

It'’s not that either.

Oh, I know, I'’m gonna score a goal!

- There it is.

- Gooooal!

- Way to score, Stuff.

Hey, it'’s Pixie.

Soccer is her favorite sport.

Who is my cute little doggy soccer star?

You are. - [barks]

- She'’s never scored a goal,

but that doesn'’t keep her from having fun.

Come on, Pixie, let'’s go.

[whistle blares]

Good morning, everyone.

It'’s time for the doggy roll call.

We'’ll start with my dog Zippy.

- [barks]

- Princess Pickles, Grumbles, Cuddles.

[all barking]

[whistling] Pixie, Grandma, Cricket.

[all barking]

[crickets chirping]

[whistling] Sonny, Dude, Rocket.

[all barking]

Wait, where is Rocket?

- [barks]



- [chuckles] He'’s in the dog house.

[playful music]

- [barks] - The Barks Brothers,

Giggle and Wiggle.

- [barks]

- [barks]

- Junior Shades.

- [barks]

- Our awesome class pet, Noodles!

- I am here and full of cheer.

Go, Mutt & Stuff! [chuckles]

- And, of course, my favorite big yellow dog named Stuff...

Stuff. - Goal!

- Wow, Stuff looks ready to play soccer in the World Pup game.

What about the rest of you?

[all barking]

Awesome! Well, if we want to play

against the best team in the league,

we'’ve got to practice.

- The best team in the league?

Oh, no, there is no way we'’re gonna win.

- Stuff, don'’t worry about winning.

Soccer is all about having fun with your friends.

And it'’s great exercise.

- Oh, all right, Calvin.

Then I'’m totally gonna have fun. Watch this.

[chuckles]

[humming]

Oops. - I got it.

[playful music]

- Hey, Calvin.

- Hey! It'’s my friend, Cobi Jones.

He is really good at soccer.

He used to play on a team that traveled all around the world.

So, what brings you to Mutt & Stuff?

- I heard you guys have a big game today,

so I came by to wish you all good luck.

- Oh, thanks. We can'’t wait for the game.

- [barks]



- And Pixie is extra excited.

She loves soccer.

Hey, do you think you can show the class

some of your awesome soccer moves?

- No problem. - Oh, sweet.

Let me, uh, give you some more room.

[lively music]



- What?



- Whoa!



Wow! That was awesome.

- Well, remember, soccer is all about

using your feet, not your hands--

which I don'’t think will be a problem for you guys.

- [laughs]

- Whoa.

Gotta go.

Good luck, everybody.

Good luck in the World Pup games.

- Bye! Okay, class.

If we want to play like a team,

we gotta look like a team.

Let'’s put on our uniforms.

It'’s dress up time.

- Whoo!

- Open the Doggy Everything Closet.

[playful music]

- Hey, super doggy soccer star Stuff is really going for it.

- [groans]



[barks]



- Love your jewels, Princess Pickles.



- Hey, pew. Goal!

Whoo, and the crowd goes wild.

Oh! Oh! Oh!

- Okay, doggy soccer stars,

you look ready to play.



- [barks]



- Hey, Davenport.

Davenport! - Random utterance!

Oh, hey, Zoe.

- Why is that on your head?

- Because it'’s sock-er day.

[both laughing]

I'’m okay. - Meow too.

[upbeat music]

- Okay, guys.

Time for your first soccer practice.

Let me show you what to do.

- Yeah. - Move in between the cones,

just like this.



Okay, Stuff, you'’re up.

- Okay, here I come.

[chuckles]

[panting]

- Good.Yeah.

- Whoo, yippee!

[chuckles] Hey, how did I do?

- That was great, Stuff!

Okay, guys. Go for it.



- Hey, go, Sonny.

- Perfect.

Okay, Zippy, your turn.



- Wow, Zippy, you got some awesome paws.

- You'’re telling me.

Okay, Pixie, your turn.



Oh, close enough.

Good job, Pixie.

- Uh, Calvin, I don'’t think she did that right.

- Don'’t worry, Stuff. Pixie is having fun,

and she'’s trying her best.

- Oh. [giggles] Okay.

- [humming] Oh, hey, there Pixie.

I'’ve got a sporty joke for you.

[clearing throat]

What do dogs like playing soccer?

Because they get a kick out of it.

[laughing]

Is a--

- [groans]

- You get it? Oh, you blinked.

That as good as a laugh. I'’ll take it.

I'’ll take the blink. Good dog.

- Let'’s see how the puppies are training to play soccer.

Come on!

[upbeat music]



- ♪ Puppy playtime

- [whistles]

- Okay.

The next thing we'’re gonna do

is practice kicking the goal into goal, like this.

- Oh, good sh*t, Calvin.

- Thanks, Stuff.

Okay, you guys ready?

[all barking]

- Woof. - Go for it, team!

- Okay, you can do this, Stuff.

You can do it.

Here it goes.

I did it!

- Nice job, Stuff.

Okay, next pup, step on up.

[playful music]



[suspenseful music]



- You can do it, Pixie.



- Nice try, Pixie.

Nothing gets this dog down.

She loves soccer.

And back to one, and two, and three--

- Hey, Stuff.

- Huh? - What are you doing?

- Oh, hey, Calvin. I'’m just doing jumping jacks

to get ready for our soccer game.

- Oh, okay. - [grunts and barks]

- Yeah, that'’s right, Pixie.

We are super excited to play.

[both chuckle]

[stomach growls]

Whoa.

And we'’re also super hungry.

- [electronic voice] Attention, attention.

Calling all dogs.

- I know what that means.

[electronic beeping]

- Attention, attention.

It'’s time for kibble.

I repeat, it'’s time for kibble.

- Okay, Bowwow, we are on our way.

Come on, it'’s snack time.

- Whoo-hoo!

[giggles]

[all dogs barking]

Oh-oh-oh, snack time.

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.

- Hey, Bowwow.

The dogs are playing soccer today,

and they really need a snack before the big game.

- No problemo, Calvin.

I will make sure these doggy athletes are ready to roll.

- Great. [chuckles]

Hey, Pixie, I know you'’ve never scored a goal before,

but I know you can start a bowwow.

[tense music]



- Balloon rising.

Rapid swirl. Rapid swirl.

Rapid swirl.

Shoe coming at you.

Ball drop.

Bubbly stuff bubbling.

Gears turning.

That'’s my favorite part.

Kibble for you.

And you.

How about you?

And you.

Here comes Stuff'’s kibble.



Wow, that'’s a lot.

Kibble delivery: complete.

- Bowwow, time to chow.

[all barking]

[soft music]



- Mmm, so good.

- Okay, Pixie, let'’s practice dribbling the ball.

All you need is some paws.

[playful music]

Great. And a soccer ball.

Hmm.

Oh, just like this one.

With a string on it?

That'’s weird.



I know who did that.

Noodles!

- [laughs]

It was me.

[laughs]

[sniffing]

Hmm, I smell a doggy.

But I don'’t see a doggy.

Mm.

Oh, hi, Pixie.

It'’s Pixie.

Are you excited to play soccertoday?

Oh, wait, I got something to show you.

Um, sit.

[gasps] It worked.

[chuckles] Good girl.

Hey, Pixie. I'’m over here.

[giggles] There you are.

I'’ve been working on a cheer for your doggy soccer team.

You want to see it?

- [barks]

- Okay. Pompoms ready.

[drum roll]

Here we go.

♪ Hey, hey, hey Ho, ho, ho ♪

♪ Soccer doggies score that goal ♪

♪ Hey, hey, hey Hee, hee, hees ♪

♪ You love soccer, I love cheese ♪

[laughs]

And now for my big finish.

♪ Go, Mutt & Stuff

Whoa! Ohh!

Whoa! Oh! Oh!

[grunting]

Ooh. Yay.

Mutt & Stuff.

[sighs]

- Hey, Davenport.

Davenport! - What, what?

Oh, hey, Zoe.

- How do you hold pompoms?

- With my paw-paws!

[both laughing]

I'’m okay. - Meow too.

- It'’s gonna be so much fun. - Okay, team Mutt & Stuff.

Welcome to the World Pup soccer game!

- Whoo! Oh, I can'’t wait to play soccer.

[giggles] Who'’s the other team, Calvin?

Is it a team of bulldogs or poodles?

Or bulldogs and poodles?

- No, Stuff. Look.

[adventurous music]



- Wow. Look at them go.

- Kids.

- They'’re the best team in the league.

- [giggles]

[upbeat rock music]



Oh, they'’re good.



Really good.

- Come on, Stuff. Come on, team.

Let'’s go play!

[all whining]

Let me try that again.

[drum roll]

Come on, team. Let'’s go!

What'’s wrong, team?

- Well, we'’re scared to play.

- Scared to play?

- Yeah, look how good the kids are.

[whistle blows]

There'’s no way we'’ll win,

so, what'’s the point of playing?

- [sighs]

I think the team needs a nose to nose.

Listen, guys, it doesn'’t matter if you win or lose.

- Oh, it doesn'’t?

- No. What matters is that

you try hard and have a good attitude.

- Mm.

- See? Look at Pixie.

She'’s trying hard and having a blast.

[soft music]

- Oh, yeah, you'’re right.

Pixie never gives up.

- Yeah. So what do you guys say?

You ready to try your best?

- Yeah, let'’s play!

- Yeah! Now, that'’s having a great attitude.

Come on, paws up, tails out,

let'’s play some soccer!

- Whoo! [dogs barking]

Yeah! - [blows whistle]

- Hey, Sid--Si--Sid.[laughs]

Sid, oh. - Look out, huh?

- Look at that dog chasing after that ball.

They must like it.

- Of course they like it, Marty.

It'’s a bologna-flavored soccer ball.

- What? I think you need your branches checked.

There'’s no such thing as a bologna-flavored soccer ball.

- Yes, there is, too.

- No way.

- Okay.

I bet it'’s a chicken-flavored soccer ball.

[giggles]

- Oh, boy.

- Go, chicken ball!

- Let the game begin.

[upbeat music]



Whoa! The best kid on the team'’s got the ball.

He never misses a goal.

But he'’s never played against Zippy.



- [barks] - Great block, Zippy.

He'’s gonna kick again.



Whoa! Two for two.

Keep it up, Zippy.



Whoa! Check out Princess Pickles.

She'’s got some awesome soccer skills.



Watch out, Zippy.

They'’re about to score.



What? Go, Zippy!

Nothing gets passed you.



Princess Pickles is taking it to the goal.

Great playing, everyone.

Go, Pixie!



Yeah, go Sonny!



- [barks]



- Pixie'’s got the ball.

And she'’s never scored a goal before.

[suspenseful music]



Go for it, Pixie! - Yeah, we believe in you.



- [barks]

- She did it!

Yeah!

Pixie scored her very first goal.

- Wow, Calvin.

I just saw Pixie scored that goal.

For a little dog, she'’s sure got a lot of heart.

- Yeah, she sure does.

What a great day.

This is what playing soccer with your friends is all about.

Hey, let'’s celebrate with the soccer doggy dance party

with the other team.

Come on. Wag it like you mean it.

- ♪ Mutt & Stuff, Mutt & Stuff ♪

- ♪ Hey, Calvin, what are we learning today? ♪

- Today was soccer day at Mutt & Stuff.

It'’s my friend, Cobi Jones.

Even though Pixie had never scored a goal,

that didn'’t stop her from having a great time practicing.

Nice try, Pixie.

Then, when the dogs were worried about losing,

Pixie showed them that playing a sport

is all about having a great attitude.

And she even scored her first goal.

She did it! Yeah! - [barks]

- And then, we came here to play an awesome game of soccer.
