- I'm peppa pig.

[Snorts]

This is my little brother, george.

- [Snorts twice]

- This is mummy pig.

- [Snorts loudly]

- And this is daddy pig.

- [Snorts very loudly]

[Laughter]

- [Snorts]

Male narrator: mummy pig and daddy pig

Have just made breakfast for peppa and george.

- [Snorts]

Breakfast is ready!

[Both giggling]

- [Snorts]

- [Snorts]

Narrator: peppa has red spots on her face.

- Mummy, I don't feel very well. [Snorts]

- Oh, dear, peppa. You don't look very well.

- [Snorts] don't worry. I'll ring dr. Brown bear.

[Dialing]

[Phone ringing]

- Dr. Brown bear speaking.

- [Snorts] peppa is not very well.

Her face is covered in red spots.

- Mmm. Put peppa to bed, and I'll come straight around.

Narrator: dr. Brown bear has come to make peppa better.

- Hello, peppa.

How are you today?

- I'm not very well.

- Stick your tongue out, please.

- Mmm, it's not anything serious.

Peppa has just got a rash.

- [Snorts] do I need medicine?

- The rash will clear up quickly.

But if you like, I can give you just a little medicine.

- Yes, please.

- I'm afraid it doesn't taste very nice.

Open wide, please.

- Yuck! Disgusting!

- You are a brave little one for taking it so well.

Peppa must stay in bed.

I'll call back later to check that she's better.

- [Snorts] can peppa have visitors?

- Oh, yes, she can have visitors.

The rash isn't catching.

Good-bye.

- [Snorts] good-bye, dr. Brown bear.

- Mummy, can I get up now?

- Dr. Brown bear says that you must stay in bed

For a little bit, peppa.

- Oh. But it's so boring.

- Dr. Brown bear did say you could have visitors.

- [Snorts] can suzy sheep visit me?

Narrator: suzy sheep is peppa's best friend.

- I'll ring suzy sheep's mummy.

[Dialing]

[Phone ringing]

- [Bleats] hello, mrs. Pig.

- [Snorts] may peppa talk with suzy, please?

- [Snorts] hello, suzy.

- [Bleats] hello, peppa.

- I'm not very well. I have red spots on my face.

- Has the doctor been?

- Yes, dr. Brown bear was here.

He said I wasn't very well,

And that I was very brave.

- So are you really ill?

- Yes, yes. It's not pretend.

I have to stay in bed.

[Snorts] dr. Brown bear gave me medicine

That tasted really horrible.

- I'm coming to see you. [Bleats]

I'm gonna wear my nurse's outfit.

Narrator: suzy sheep has come to see peppa.

Suzy is wearing her nurse's costume.

Danny dog and rebecca rabbit have come along too.

- [Bleats] all: hello, peppa.

- [Snorts] hello. [Laughter]

- [Bleats] how do you feel?

- I'm not very well, suzy. I have to stay in bed.

- What can we do to make you better?

- [Snorts] you can get me some orange juice.

- Okay.

[Laughing]

Narrator: peppa seems to be quite enjoying herself.

- [Laughing] - thank you, suzy.

- [Slurping] - do you feel any better?

- A little bit. [Snorts] danny.

- [Barks]

- Ask my mummy if I can have some ice cream.

And, rebecca,

Could you bring me some flowers from the garden?

Narrator: dr. Brown bear is here to see if peppa is better.

- Ah, good, the nurse is already here.

How is the patient?

- Uh, I'm not a real nurse. It's just pretend.

- I see. Would you like me to take a look myself?

- Yes, please.

- I say, no more red spots.

You're completely better.

Aren't I still a bit ill?

- How do you feel?

- I think I should stay in bed a little bit more.

- Mmm.

[Snorts] I fancy a game with this ball in the garden.

Who wants to join me?

- Me, me, me!

- Me too! [Snorts twice]

- [Laughs] well, I never.

A complete recovery.

[All laughing]

- I'm peppa pig.

[Snorts]

This is my little brother, george.

- [Snorts twice]

- This is mummy pig.

- [Snorts loudly]

- And this is daddy pig.

- [Snorts very loudly]

[Laughter]

- [Snorts]

[Honking]

Narrator: peppa and george

Have come to granny pig and grandpa pig's house for lunch.

- [Laughs] granny pig.

- [Snorts] ganky ig! [Laughs]

- Hello, my little ones.

[Snorts] would you like to pick some vegetables

From the garden for lunch?

- Yes, please. - [Snorts]

[Both laughing]

- Grandpa pig! - Papa ig!

- [Snorts] hello, peppa, george.

Narrator: this is grandpa pig's vegetable garden.

He has grown all these vegetables himself.

- Grr!

- What's this?

- Dine-saw.

- A dinosaur. [Laughs]

[Snorts] let's choose some vegetables for lunch.

[Peppa laughs]

- Peppa, do you like tomatoes?

- [Snorts] yes, grandpa pig.

- George, do you like tomatoes?

- No.

- George does not like tomatoes.

- Oh, dear.

Do you both like lettuce?

- [Snorts] yes, grandpa pig.

- No.

- [Snorts] george does not like lettuce.

- Oh, dear.

I must have something that george likes.

Do you like cucumber?

- Yuck!

Narrator: george does not like cucumbers,

And he does not like lettuce.

And he does not like tomatoes.

- Well, george, what vegetable do you like?

- Chocolate cake.

- [Laughs] silly, george.

Chocolate cake isn't a vegetable.

- [Snorts] maybe george will like the vegetables

When they are made into a lovely salad.

- [Giggling]

- Oh.

Lovely fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumber.

[Snorts] first, we have to wash them.

Narrator: peppa and george

Help granny pig wash the vegetables.

[Laughing and splashing]

- [Snorts] maybe that's enough washing.

Narrator: granny pig has made the tomatoes, lettuce,

And cucumber into a salad.

- Grandpa pig, can you call everyone to lunch?

- Lunch! [Ringing bell]

- [Giggling]

Narrator: granny pig has made pizza for lunch.

- And here is some salad,

Made with grandpa's tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumber.

- Tuck in, everyone!

[All chewing loudly]

Narrator: george has eaten his pizza.

But george does not like the tomatoes, or the lettuce,

Or the cucumber.

- Oh, dear, george.

Don't you like the salad?

- No.

- George, just try a little bit of this lovely tomato.

- Yuck!

- George.

This is cucumber.

Grandpa pig grew it in his garden.

- Agh!

- Try a piece of lettuce, george.

It's yummy.

- [Crying and yelling]

- Oh, now, now, george.

- [Continues crying]

- Look what I'm doing.

Now it's a dinosaur.

- [Snorts] dine-saw. [Giggling] grr!

Narrator: george loves dinosaurs.

George is eating the tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumber.

- Well done, george.

Would you like some more, george?

- Full!

- George,

Are you too full to eat any more tomatoes,

Lettuce, or cucumber?

- [Snorts]

Narrator: george is too full to eat any more.

- George, are you too full to eat anything more?

- [Snorts twice]

Narrator: george is too full to eat anything more.

- Oh, well.

Then you won't want any of this chocolate cake.

- Chocolate cake. [Snorts]

[Giggling]

- My word.

George seems to have got his appetite back.

[All laughing]

Narrator: sometimes george likes to scare peppa

With mr. Dinosaur.

- Grr! - [Shrieking] too scary!

[Both giggling]

- I'm peppa pig.

[Snorts]

This is my little brother, george.

- [Snorts twice]

- This is mummy pig.

- [Snorts loudly]

- And this is daddy pig.

- [Snorts very loudly]

[Laughter]

- [Snorts]

[Typing]

Narrator: mummy pig is working on her computer.

[Continues typing]

Daddy pig is making soup for lunch.

- [Snorts] daddy, can we go and watch mummy on her computer?

- [Snorts] yes, as long as you don't disturb her.

She has a lot of important work to do today.

- [Snorts] thank you, daddy.

- [Snorts twice]

Narrator: mummy pig has a lot of important work to do.

- [Snorts] mummy.

Can george and I sit on your lap

And watch you work?

- [Snorts] yes, if you both sit quietly.

[Both laughing]

Narrator: peppa and george love to watch mummy work

On the computer.

- Mummy, can we play that computer game,

[Span]happy mrs. Chicken?[/Span]

- [Snorts twice]

- We can play [span] happy mrs. Chicken[/span]later.

But now I have to work.

- Mummy, can we help you work?

[Tapping keyboard]

- No, peppa. You mustn't touch the computer!

[Snorts] and george, you mustn't touch the computer either.

- Yes, george, you mustn't do this.

- Peppa, stop!

- [Snorts] sorry, mummy.

I was just showing george what not to do.

[Computer making wacky noises]

Narrator: oh, dear.

The computer is not meant to do that.

- Daddy pig!

Daddy pig!

- What is it, mummy pig?

[Continues making wacky noises]

- Daddy pig, can you mend the computer?

- Um...

- I'll finish the lunch while you mend the computer.

- Um, right you are, mummy pig.

But I'm not very good with these things.

- Oh, thank you, daddy pig.

Narrator: daddy pig is going to mend the computer.

- Mmm.

[Computer beeping]

Mmm.

Um, maybe if I just switch it off...

And then switch it on again.

Narrator: daddy pig has mended the computer.

- Hooray, daddy!

- [Snorts twice]

[Both giggling]

- Yes, I am a bit of an expert at these things. [Snorts]

- Daddy, can we play that computer game,

[Span]happy mrs. Chicken?[/Span]

- Maybe you should ask mummy pig.

- Mummy said that we can play it later.

- Well, that's okay then. [Snorts]

But I don't know where the disk is.

- [Snorts]

[Snorts twice]

[Robotic clucking]

- Yippee! [Snorts]

- [Snorts twice]

[All giggling]

- Now it's my turn.

[All giggling]

- Now it's my turn.

[All giggling]

- [Snorts] what on earth is going on?

[All laughing noisily]

- Well, I see the computer is working again.

[Laughing] [snorts]

[All laughing]

[Laughing continues]

- [Snorting]

[Giggling]

[Snorts]

- I'm peppa pig.

[Snorts]

This is my little brother, george.

- [Snorts twice]

- This is mummy pig.

- [Snorts loudly]

- And this is daddy pig.

- [Snorts very loudly]

[Laughter]

- [Snorts]

[Honking]

Narrator: peppa and george are playing

At granny pig and grandpa pig's house.

[Both giggling]

- Grandpa, catch.

- [Laughing] [snorts] catch.

- [Giggles] - [snorts]

- What's this?

- Dine-saw. Grr!

- A dinosaur.

- Grandpa, what are you doing?

- I'm planting

These seeds.

- Seeds? What do seeds do?

- Seeds grow into plants.

I just make a little hole and put the seed in.

Then I cover it with earth

And water it.

[Snorts] everything in my garden

Grows from tiny seeds like these.

- Even the big apple tree?

- Oh, yes.

[Snorts] this tiny seed will grow into

A little apple tree,

Like this. [Snorts]

Both: ooh.

- And that little apple tree

Will grow into a big apple tree.

Like this.

Ouch!

[Snorts] mmm.

- [Giggling]

- [Laughing]

[Snorts] and inside this apple are more seeds.

- [Snorts] to make more apple trees.

- Exactly.

- Grandpa, grandpa!

[Snorts] I want to plant a seed.

- Would you like to plant a strawberry seed?

- Yes, please!

- This seed will grow into a lovely strawberry plant.

First, make a little hole.

- Then I put the seed in.

And cover it with earth.

- Shall I water it for you?

- No, no. [Snorts] I want to water it.

- Good.

[Snorts] now we wait for it to grow.

Narrator: peppa and george are waiting for the seed to grow.

- [Snorts] it's not doing anything.

- [Laughing]

You'll have to be patient, peppa.

[Snorts] it will take a long time to grow.

- Peppa, george, it's time to go home.

- But we're waiting

For my strawberry plant to grow.

I wanted strawberries for tea.

- Don't worry, peppa.

[Snorts] next time you come, the seed will have grown

Into a plant.

- [Snorts] and I'll have strawberries.

- Yes.

- Come on, peppa.

- Bye-bye, grandpa.

Bye-bye, strawberry. [Blowing kiss]

[Engine turns over]

[Honking]

Narrator: grandpa pig looks after peppa's strawberry plant.

After many days, grandpa pig finds

A tiny plant growing.

Day by day, the plant grows bigger and bigger.

Then one day, grandpa pig finds something very special.

- Strawberries!

- Grandpa, we are back!

- [Snorts twice]

Narrator: peppa and george have come to play gain.

- Grandpa, grandpa, did my plant grow?

- Yes. [Snorts] look.

Both: ooh! - Strawberries!

[Both giggling]

- [Snorts] thank you, grandpa.

- [Snorts]

- Grandpa, can we plant something else?

- Yes. [Snorts]

Now it's george's turn to choose.

- [Snorts]

- Yes. You choose, george.

Choose a carrot.

[Snorts] grandpa, I think george wants to grow a carrot.

- George, would you like to grow a carrot?

- [Snorts] no.

- What would you like to grow?

- [Snorts]

Narrator: george has thought of something he wants to grow.

- [Snorts] dine-saw.

Narrator: george wants to grow a dinosaur tree.

- [Laughs] silly george.

Dinosaurs don't grow on trees.

[All laughing]

- Dine-saw.

Grr!

- I'm peppa pig.

[Snorts]

This is my little brother, george.

- [Snorts twice]

- This is mummy pig.

- [Snorts loudly]

- And this is daddy pig.

- [Snorts very loudly]

[Laughter]

- [Snorts]

Narrator: peppa's play group

Are going to put on a play.

- [Span]the little red riding hood.[/Span]

- Hooray!

Narrator: all the children have parts in the play.

They have to practice at home.

Peppa is going to be little red riding hood.

- [Snorts]

Narrator: mummy pig has made her costume.

Daddy pig is helping peppa practice.

- [Snorts] okay, peppa. What do you say?

- I'm little red riding hood. - Very good.

Then what?

- Um--

- I'm going to visit my grandma.

- I'm going to visit my grandma.

- Bravo, peppa!

[Applauses]

Narrator: danny dog is going to play the big bad wolf.

- [Barks]

Narrator: granddad dog and mummy dog

Are helping him practice.

- I'm the big bad wolf. [Laughs]

- Try not to laugh, danny.

- You should be a bit scarier.

Try it like this, danny. [Clears throat]

I'm the big bad wolf!

I'm going to eat you all up! Argh!

- Aah!

- [Laughing] you see?

- Yes, that was really scary.

[Laughing]

Narrator: pedro pony is going to play the hunter.

[Blowing horn]

Narrator: he will rescue peppa from the the big bad wolf.

- Um, I'm a hunter, and--

Narrator: pedro is a bit shy.

- [Neighs] you say, "I'm going to chase you away,

You big bad wolf."

- Um, go away, naughty wolf.

[Blowing horn] [laughing]

- Very good, pedro.

Narrator: rebecca rabbit is going to be the grandma.

- What do I say, mummy?

- Let's see, at the start of the play,

You get locked in a cupboard by the big bad wolf.

Then right at the end of the play,

You are rescued by the hunter, and you say,

"Thank you."

- [Clears throat] thank you.

- Very good, rebecca. - [Laughing]

Narrator: everyone has come to see the school play.

- Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our play:

[Span]the little red riding hood.[/Span]

[Audience applauding]

First, let us meet the actors.

- [Snorts] - [barks]

- [Laughing] - [neighs]

- [Meows] - [bleats]

[Camera sh*ts flashing]

- Please, please, for the sake of the actors,

No photography, please.

And now, our play begins.

[Fanfare music]

Grandma is at home.

[Bell ringing]

But who is this visitor?

- [Barks] I'm the big bad wolf.

- Well done, danny!

- Um...

Narrator: oh, dear, danny has forgotten

What he says next.

- Grandma, you must go in the cupboard.

- [Barks] go in the cupboard.

- The big bad wolf is pretending to be grandma.

Audience: oh!

- [Snorts] I'm little red riding hood.

I'm going to visit my grandma.

- Bravo, peppa!

- Daddy, you must not take photos.

- Oops. Sorry, peppa. Carry on.

- [Clears throat] I'm going to visit my grandma.

- [Laughs] oh, you don't look like my grandma.

- [Laughs]

- What big eyes you have.

- [Laughs]

- What big teeth you have.

- Grr!

- [Gasps] you are not grandma.

You are the big bad wolf.

Audience: oh!

- Help, oh, help. [Snorts]

- But look who is here. Just in time, pedro the hunter.

- Help, oh, help.

- Just in time, pedro the hunter.

Narrator: pedro is a bit shy.

- Pedro, would you like me to come on with you?

- Yes, please.

[Blows horn]

You are a very naughty wolf.

- [Laughing]

- I saved you, grandma.

All: hooray!

- [Clears throat] thank you.

All: bravo! Bravo!

- Well done.

[Applauses]

- Pedro, you were very good.

- [Laughing]

- You were almost as good as me.

- [Laughing]

[All laughing]

- [Giggling and snorting]
