Hello, Brontosaurus!

Roar, roar, roar, roar!

RUBY: Excuse me, Dino Max.

Valerie and Louise are coming over soon.

I need to set up.

We're going to make a beautiful card

for our new teacher.

Ooh, I can't wait to meet her.

[Roaring]

Pterodactyl! Caw, caw!

[Squawking]

[Knocking on door]

Hi, Valerie and Louise.

Hi, Ruby! Hello!

[Squawking]

Pterodactyl!

Come in.

Caw, caw!

Max loves his dinosaurs.

[Giggling]He sure does.

Hi, Max.

Roar!

Hello, girls.

I bet you're excited to meet

your new teacher tomorrow.

Yes! We are.

Have fun.

I think we should make a really beautiful card

for our teacher, don't you?

Yes.Good idea, Ruby.

Roar!

What beautiful paper!

What will we draw on it?

Hmm. How about a big bright sun?

Chomp, chomp! Chomp, chomp, roar!

We could draw a forest

like the one we camp in at Bunny Scouts.

Dinosaurs!

[Giggling]Sorry, Max.

Our teacher won't want a card with dinosaurs on it.

I know, we could draw our school!

Hmm, I think it should be something

really pretty and flowery.

That's it!

ALL: Flowers!

Stegosaurus! Roar!

And the flowers can have sparkly petals.

What kind of paper should we use?

What about pink?

Pink is pretty.

Stegosaurus!

Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp!

I don't know how to draw a daffodil. Do you?

No, and my tulip

doesn't look very tulip-y.

I have a book of flowers upstairs.

We can copy the pictures in it.

Come on.

Great!

Chomp!

[Girls giggling]

Stomp, stomp, stomp!

Stomp, stomp!

Oops.

Hmm...

Over here, Albertosaurus!

Stegosaurus, this is Albertosaurus.

RUBY: Yes, it's perfect.

I'm sure we'll find some nice--

Dinosaurs?

[Giggling]Max.

What?

Our teacher isn't going to want

a card with dinosaurs on it.

But dinosaurs are fun. Aren't they?

Roar!

Ooh, that's a nice rose, Ruby.

Thanks, and I like your tulip.

Next we need a daffodil.

Spinosaurus!

Swish, swish! Swish, swish, swish, swish!

Swish, swish, swish, swish!

Uh-oh.

Careful, Max. Our card.

What do you think?

No dinosaurs.

[Giggling]

Not everyone loves dinosaurs as much as you do, Max.

Oh, oh!

We should use markers to colour in the flowers.

Markers are much brighter than pencil crayons.

Yes, we have lot of markers.

Come on.

Spinosaurus!

Swish, swish, swish!

Roar!

[Winding]

Chomp, chomp! Roar!

Chomp!

[Toy roaring]

Dad, have you seen the markers?

We can't find them.

You bet, they're right here.

Hang on.

Okay, I'm done.

You girls can take this wherever you like.

Thanks, Dad.

Yes, thanks.Bye!

[Gasping]

Max.

Roar!

We're making a flowery card,

not one with dinosaurs.

Okay, Max?

But I like dinosaurs.

Roar!

I know, but our teacher will like flowers much more.

So we're making a flowery card.

You can put your stickers on this if you like.

No thanks.

[Squawking]

Blue, green. Hmm.

I need a purple marker for my tulip.

I love purple!

Me, too. But I don't see one.

Maybe it's in my room.

I'll go see.

This is going to look so beautiful when we're done.

[Roaring]

[Girls gasping]

[Giggling]

Roar! Chomp!

[Roaring]

[Giggling]

Ruby said she had lots of markers

but I don't see a red one, do you?

Hmm, let me look.

Roar!

I found a pink one. Will that do?

Max, take your dinosaur sticker, please.

It's a stegosaurus.

Tyrannosaurus Rex!

Max, this is supposed to be a flower card.

We don't want any dinosaur stickers on it.

RUBY: Louise, Valerie!

Come and see this!

No more dinosaur stickers. Okay, Max?

Okay.

Look what my dad found.

Pipe cleaners?

Maybe we can use them on our card

for the flower stems.

We have green ones.

Ooh, that's a great idea!

Our teacher will love it!

Max, you didn't put more dinosaur stickers on our card,

did you, Max?

Nope.

[Gasping]

RUBY: Max!

Trucks are great!

Vroom!

[Giggling]

Vroom, vroom! Vroom!

She's going to love our flowers.

I hope so.

[Twinkling]

[Imitating a siren]

Do you think it needs a few more sparkles?

Vroom, vroom!

They're all gone.

We might have more. Let's ask my mom.

This needs to be extra special.

Okay. Sure.

Extra special?

Vroom! Truck.

Two trucks.

Three trucks.

And a... dinosaur!

Everybody loves trucks and dinosaurs!

RUBY: No more sparkles.

Ah, too bad.

Well, I still think it's a beautiful card

and our teacher is going to love it.

Yes, I'm sure she will.

There, all done.

I can't wait to give this to our teacher tomorrow.

BOTH: Me, too!

[Giggling]

[Toy roaring]

Shh!

[School bell ringing]

See you later, Max.

Bye!

I can't wait to give our new teacher

this beautiful card.

I just know she's going to love it.

Ooh, this must be our new teacher!

Hello!

I'm Mr. Estevez.

Huh?

Uh, hi.

Oh, is this for me?

Yes.

You might not like it.

It's very... flowery.

It just so happens I love flowers.

Almost as much as I love trucks and dinosaurs.

Thank you.

ALL: Max!

Uh, who's Max?

My little brother.

[Giggling]

He added the trucks and dinosaurs.

Well, it's nice to receive such a warm

and colourful welcome from all of you,

even your little brother.

What's his name again?

Max.

[Both roaring]

[Laughing]

[Birds tweeting]

DAD: All done with your breakfast?

All done!

Whoa!

What is it, Max?

A rainbow!

Thanks for the pancakes, Dad.

They were delicious.

Why, thank you, Ruby.

So, is anything special going on at school today?

It's my turn to be a classroom helper in Max's class.

Ms. Bunty is planning a special art project.

Art time!

That's right, Max.

You're going to paint a picture of yourself today.

A picture of just me?

That's right, Max.

Oh, a self-portrait. That'll be fun.

I want to paint a rainbow.

Well, right now you need to finish

getting ready for school.

I am ready!

Do you have your books?

In my backpack.

Do you have your lunch?

In my backpack.

Do you have your school clothes?

In my...

Oh, I'll get dressed.

Good thinking, Max.

[Giggling]

[Giggling]

[Giggling]

I like your new pants, Max.

Red, just like my pants.

Max, we need to hurry.

Red!

I really like red!

Come on, Max.

Class, do you remember our helper Ruby?

Everyone say hello.

ALL: Hello, Ruby!

Hi, Max's sister!

Hi, everyone.

Ruby's going to help us today

with a very special project.

We're going to paint pictures

of ourselves during art time.

Are you going to paint one too, Ms. Bunty?

Of course! We all are.

I like art time.

I like colours!

Me, too!

Me, three!

Me, um... four!

Okay, could I please have two volunteers

to help Ruby set up our easels and paint?

Me!

Me, too!

Thank you, Morris. Thank you, Max.

Why don't you show Ruby where we keep the art supplies.

Okay!

Lost one there is a rotten apple!

[Giggling]

Slow down, please.

Now, let's see.

We need five easels

and every colour of paint that you have.

Even pink?

Yes, definitely pink.

And brown?

Yes, brown, too. All of the colours.

Okay!

RUBY: Oh, careful.

Oops!

Don't worry, we'll clean it up, Morris.

I'll be right back.

[Giggling]

You have blue feet!

[Twinkling]

I like blue.

Nearly as much as red.

I'll tidy this up while you and Max finish

putting out the easels and the paint.

Then you should go and wash your feet, Max.

[Twinkling]

But I like blue.

Blue!

Just like my feet!

Blue.

I really like blue.

It's lunchtime, children.

Oh, I should help.

Are you looking forward to art time, Max?

Mm-hm!

Dad sure packs a good lunch, doesn't he?

My mom does, too.

Oh! Sorry, Max.

I like yellow.

Nearly as much as red and blue.

Max, you need to go into the bathroom

to clean your messy shirt.

If everyone is done eating,

you can all go and play until the bell rings.

Let's go!

Yay!

Oh my.

Yellow!

More yellow! Just like my shirt.

Come on, Max.

[Laughing]

[Laughing]

Better run fast, Max! I'm it!

[Laughing]

Whoa!

[Grunting]

Max!

Are you okay?

[Kids laughing]

[Giggling]

What's so funny?

You're green, Max!

Huh?

On your face.

And your ears.

Oh, I like green.

Almost as much as I like blue, red, and yellow.

Green, green, green.

[Giggling]

And more green!

Why don't you ask Ms. Bunty

if you can wash up before art time?

[School bell ringing]

Let's go inside, class.

It's time to begin our special art project.

Hurray! Art!

[Giggling]

Today we're going to paint pictures of ourselves.

Yay! Great!

Yes!

Rainbow.

Before we begin, let's see how many colours we can name.

Who wants to go first?

Purple!

Very good, Lily.

Any others?

Pink!

That's a lovely colour, Priya.

Orange!

Brown!

Very good.

Are there any other colours you can think of?

Red.

Blue.

Yellow.

And green.

[All laughing]

Ta-da!

[Laughing]

Well, Max, aren't you colorful today!

You're wearing so many colours you look like a--

Rainbow!

Oh, you made a rainbow after all.

[Giggling]

You're a walking rainbow, Max.

You're right, Ruby.

Before you get all washed up,

may I take a photo of you with all your colours?

Okay.

Say rainbow.

Rainbow!

MAX: Green.

Yellow.

Red.

And blue.

Yes!

Oh, I like it, Max! Well done.
