WOMAN: Ruby and her little brother Max.

♪ Max and Ruby

What's this?

[Squeaking]

Oh.

He must be Max's gorilla.

RUBY: Come on, Max.

We promised Mom we'd water the garden.

Ahh![Squeaking]

Whoa!

Oof.

[Squeaking]

It's squeaky.

It's very squeaky.

[Squeaking]

[Giggling]

I wonder how it ended up on our doorstep.

Maybe you walked here.

Someone must have lost it.

I bet they miss it.

I like your big, funny squeak.

[Squeaking]

We have to find out who owns it.

Just like Bunny Drew, Detective Ruby is on the case.

Here's what we know so far.

It's a toy gorilla, it was found on our doorstep, and it's--

[Squeaking]

--very squeaky.

[Sighing]

That's all I've got.

[Squeaking]

Max, take a closer look at the gorilla.

Do you see any clues?

Hmm. Let's see.

Nope. No clues.

Okay, but pretty soon Detective Ruby

is going to find the owner.

[Squeaking]

Be careful. There won't be any squeak left

if you keep squeezing it like that.

Okay, Ruby.

Oh, wait!

I think I know how to find the owner.

[Squeaking]

But I can't think with all this squeaking.

There's got to be somewhere quieter to work.

There! Finished.

I hope these posters help us find the toy gorilla's owner.

Green Gorilla, this is Squeaky Gorilla.

You two should be friends.

[Mechanical whirring]

Yeaaaagh!

I think he likes you.

Max, can you help me put these posters up?

Sure. And Squeaky Gorilla can help too, right?

[Squeaking]

Thank you.

Don't worry. We won't stop looking

until we find your owner, Mr. Squeaky Gorilla.

[Squeaking]

That means thank you.

[Squeaking]

Ugh, I really hope we find the gorilla's owner soon.

There.

Now everyone leaving Mr. Piazza's store

will see our sign.

Looks good, Ruby!

Thanks, Mr. Piazza.

Could you use some help making a pyramid with those oranges?

Come on, Mr. Gorilla.

I'll show you around the store.

[Squeaking]

This is where Mr. Piazza keeps the dish soap and stuff.

[Squeaking]

Okay. Let's see what else Mr. Piazza sells.

And this is where he keeps the milk and eggs.

Yeah, almost finished. Last one--

Do you like eggs too?

[Loud squeaking]

D'oh! Whoa-oh!

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

RUBY: Max!

Oops.

Sorry.

[Squeaking]

We'll help you, Mr. Piazza.

We picked up a lot of oranges.

Yes, we did.

Be careful with the squeaky gorilla this time, Max.

Hi!

Hi, Max, Ruby. How are you two today?

Great, thank you.

Would you mind if we put a poster on your door, Candi?

[Squeaking]We're trying to find the owner of this gorilla.

Sure, go ahead!

I'm just finishing up my candy tower.

[Gasping]

Wow!Whoa!

A giant blue slime dribbler!

Pretty impressive, huh?

Only two more candies and I'll be finished.

It looks amazing, Candi.

And yummy!

[Chuckling] Thanks, Max and Ruby.

I love the candy store. Do you like it, Squeaky Gorilla?

[Squeaking]

Just have to reach a little higher.

[Grunting]

There we go.

Whew!

There. Perfect.

Whaddya think, Max?

[Squeaking loudly]Ooh!

Whoa, whoaaa--

[Gasping]

Oh, no!

Oh!

Oops.

Oh, dear.

Sorry.

Can we help you rebuild the tower, Candi?

Sure. That would be nice.

Thank you, Ruby, Max.

You're welcome.You're welcome.

[Chirping]

Hmm.

[Squeaking]

Eh, not as cool as you, Squeaky Gorilla.

Super Bunny's the best! Don't you think?

[Squeaking]

Yes. Super Bunny wears a cape so he can fly.

Zoom, zoom, zoom!

There.

I love watching bubbles go round and round.

Do you?

[Squeaking]

Whoa!

Oops.

[Laundry thudding on floor]

Oh, no! Again?

This spot is perfect.

Are you hungry, Gorilla?

Have a slice of yummy apple pie while you're here.

Mmm. Thanks, Katie!

My favourite.

[Squeaking]Ooh!

[Gasping]

Gotcha!

Good catch, Ruby.

Phew!

That was lucky.

Sorry, Katie.

Oh, that's okay.

Just keep that gorilla toy where I can see him.

Okay!

[Squeaking]

[Chuckling]

Finished.

I'm sure the gorilla's owner will see one of our posters.

I hope I can keep you a bit longer.

[Squeaking]

He's fun.

Exactly, Max.

He's fun, and that's why his owner will miss him.

I know.

Hey, Max.

Hi, Ruby.

Hi, Roger.Hi, Roger.

Oh, I see you found the gorilla.

Yes!

[Squeaking]

I found it on the sidewalk.

It's yours, right?

No. I wish it was mine, but it's not.

Oh.

We've been trying to find the owner

but we haven't had any luck yet.

That's okay.

I'm having fun with it.

[Squeaking]

Well, someone must have dropped it on the sidewalk

when they walked by.

Yes, you're right!

Thanks, Roger.

You're welcome.

Wait. Thanks for what?

For the clue.

If you found it on the sidewalk in front of our house,

maybe it belongs to someone who lives on our street.

And I'm going to find out who.

Right.

Well, good luck! See you later!

Bye, Roger.

Let's go, Max.

Hmm. I don't see anything yet.

There must be a clue to help us figure out who owns the gorilla.

But I can't find anything.

I wish the gorilla could talk.

Then we could ask where it lives.

He can talk!

Listen.

[Squeaking]

Maaax!

[Squeaking continues]

I know that funny squeak!

Oh, thank goodness.

Huh?Huh?

You found Baby Huffington's toy gorilla.

We've been searching all over for it.

That squeaky toy

is one of Baby Huffington's favourites.

He's really been missing it.

I'm so glad we finally found the owner.

We've been looking all day.

Roger found it on the sidewalk and put it on our doorstep,

but we didn't know who it belonged to.

Ruby put up posters!

Wow!

You two worked really hard to find the owner.

That's very kind of you.

I've been having lots of fun playing with him.

Well, I'm thrilled you found him.

And I'm glad you had fun with him too, Max.

Because if you weren't playing with him,

we wouldn't have heard the gorilla's--

[Squeaking]

--big, funny squeak.

[Squeaking]

There you go, Baby Huffington.

[Giggling]

RUBY: Plastic water bottle?

LOUISE: Check.

RUBY: Paper cups and straws?

Check and check.

A pencil, map, and a compass?

I think we have everything, we need Ruby.

We even have our easel, so we can pin up our map.

It doesn't hurt to check.

Check!

And of course, we have the most important thing:

our book on monarch butterflies.

Great! I can't wait to start this project.

Me too.

Look, Louise!

Remember what Mr. Esteves told us?

Monarch butterflies migrate each year.

Yes.

When it starts to get cold,

they need to find a warmer place.

It says here, they fly as far south as Mexico.

Wow, that's a really long way!

And when the monarch butterflies arrive,

they sleep huddled together in fir trees to stay warm.

Look how beautiful they are!

Winter is coming,

so the butterflies should pass though East Bunnyhop very soon.

We need to figure out which way they'll come.

This wind metre will tell us which way the wind is blowing.

And the butterflies use the wind to help them fly.

Right.

And then we'll know which way they will come.

Let's get everything set up!

Okay!

I really want to get a picture of them for our project.

I hope Mr. Esteves will be impressed with all of our work.

Me too.

Vroooom!

[Giggling]

Mighty Bunny Explorer One to Mighty Bunny Explorer Two:

Where should we land?

Right here, on this strange island!

Okay, Mighty Bunnies ready to explore!

Look at this place!

It's so... strange.

[Giggling] And funny!

Coming through!

Excuse us.

Strange creatures live here too.

Oh, whoops.

[Gasping]

Aha!

Mighty Bunny Explorers to the rescue!

Why, thank you, Mighty Bunny Explorer.

You're welcome.

Whirrr-whoosh!

LOUISE: Thank you.

Can't make our wind metre without those.

Come on, Mighty Bunny Explorer,

let's go to the big cave!

Yes!

MOM: Not so fast, my little explorers.

Before you two go on your adventure,

I thought you might like to pack a snack for the road.

This will give you lots of energy for the journey!

Oranges! Mmm!

Thanks, Mom.

Thank you.

Have fun!

Look, the entrance to the cave!

Let's go!

Look out for the ball--

I mean, look out for the big rock, Lily!

Ahh! Run!

LOUISE: So, this butterfly trail

shows us the monarch butterfly's journey all the way to Mexico.

Yes, and if we check the calendar,

we should know exactly when

they'll be flying through East Bunnyhop.

MAX: Look out for the rock!

Nooo!

[Gasping]

RUBY: Max!

Oh.Sorry!

We were escaping from a big rock.

It was rolling after us.

Well, I'm glad you two escaped,

but I think you need to escape to another part of the yard.

Please?

Louise and I are working on our school project.

Okay, Ruby.

Have fun!

Stay out of trouble, you two.

Okay!

We will.

Okay, where were we?

The migration calendar.

Right! The migration calendar.

Hmm. Let's see.

Aha!

Just like Mr. Esteves told us,

the calendar says the monarch butterflies

should be passing through East Bunnyhop any time now.

I really hope we get some good pictures.

But I don't see any butterflies yet.

Do you?

[Sighing] No. Not yet.

[Gasping] Look Louise!

Our wind meter is working.

Now we know which way the wind is coming from.

That way!

I hope the wind will give their little wings

an extra push- all the way to Mexico.

If you're quick, you might get some great pictures.

Mighty Bunny Explorer ,

I need to make it over the hot lava

and get to the other side of the volcano,

Okay, Mighty Bunny Explorer Two!

Go, go, go!

Whoo-hoo!

Oh!

Wha-- oof.

Oh!

Oh, no.

Max!

Oops. It was an accident.

Max was trying to push me over the lava

to the other side of the volcano.

It's okay.

We can set up our wind meter again.

But, even Mighty Bunny Explorers

need to try and be more careful, okay?

Okay.Okay.

I know!

Let's go to the desert.

I bet it's warmer there and--

Full of adventure!

Adventure! Let's go!

What a cute little fir tree, Ruby.

Thanks. Dad helped me pick it out.

How about right here?

Perfect.

I hope so.

The monarch butterflies will be tired from their long journey.

They'll probably want to rest in this fir tree for a bit.

They do fly very far.

And when they stop to rest, I'll have my camera ready!

I have the treasure, Mighty Bunny Explorer Max!

What kind of treasure?

Seeds!

That, uh... will grow into a giant beanstalk!

Wow!

Let's pretend to plant them in the garden, okay?

Okay!

Oof!

Huh?

Whoa!

Oh!

Max!Max!

Sorry, Ruby. We're on an adventure.

To plant a giant beanstalk!

[Sighing] A giant beanstalk?

I see.

But this will need to be put back into the pot

before a butterfly can land here.

We'll help you.

Yeah! Mighty Bunny Explorers to the rescue!

Okay.

There. What do you think, Louise?

They did a great job.

Mighty Bunny Explorers to the rescue!

Whoo-hoo!

What's our next adventure?

[Giggling]

All it needs is water.

Looks as good as new.

I'm sure the butterflies will like it.

When they show up, that is!

[Sighing]

Eyes to the skies, Louise!

We can't give up yet.

I'm sure the butterflies are coming.

Watch out for the snake, Lily!

Ahh!

Ah!

[Gasping]

Max, Lily, please be careful.

We've already repotted this plant once today.

You must be tired after so much adventuring.

Didn't Mom make you a snack?

Uh-huh! It's in my backpack.

Mine too.

Maybe the Mighty Bunny Explorers should take a little break.

I am hungry.

Me too. Come on!

You don't think we made a mistake, do you?

About when the butterflies are supposed to migrate

past East Bunnyhop?

I hope not, but I guess it's possible.

Let's see.

MAX: Wow!

MAX AND LILY: Amazing!

I wonder what the Bunny Explorers' big adventure is now.

They're probably climbing a mountain

or being visited by space--

--aliens?!

Hey, little guys.

Ooh, I like their wings!

[Gasping]

The butterflies are here!

In East Bunnyhop!

In your backyard, Ruby! Look!

Quick, Louise, we need to take a picture!

Now we're sure to do well on our project, Ruby.

Mr. Esteves is going to love these photos!

And our chart and wind metre.

I think they like our snack.

I think so too.

They need lots of energy for their big adventure

as they migrate south.

Big adventure?

Hey! That's just like us!

Mighty Butterfly Explorers!Mighty Butterfly Explorers!

Nice to meet you, little adventurers.
