[Humming]

Hi, Mom.

Oh, you're going this way to school today.

Do you have everything you need?

Yes, I think so.

My lunch, my books and my gift.

And you, Max?

Yep.

I can't believe it's the last day of school before vacation!

That's right. It is. I hope you have lots of fun today.

Thanks, Mom. We will.

Bye!

Bye, Max.

Bye, Ruby.

[Humming]

Whoa, nice rock.

[Gasping]

I like this one.

Oh, that shiny one!

[Humming]

Come on, Max.

I'd really like to get to school early

to give Mr. Esteves his gift before class.

Okay. What is it?

It's a pencil holder.

I made it as a thank-you gift

because he's such a great teacher!

So, I really want to get there quickly.

Whoa!

Max, it's time to go now.

Look, Ruby. I'm collecting things.

They're nice, Max.

But now isn't the time to be collecting things, okay?

We need to get to school.

Okay.

Hi, Ruby!.

Hey, Max.

Hi, Louise. Can you believe it's the last day before vacation?

I know. It went by so fast.

I'm really excited to give Mr. Esteves his gift.

I made it myself!

Same here!

Huh? You're giving him two presents?

No. This one's for Mr. Esteves.

And this one I made for Ms. Bunty

since we sometimes help out in her classroom.

Oh, no! I completely forgot about Ms. Bunty!

[Laughing]

Good morning, everyone!

Good morning, Ms. Bunty!

Hi, Ms. Bunty.

Oh, no, what am I going to do?

I don't have time to go home and make another gift!

This is a nice stick.

I like these leaves too.

[Bell ringing]

Time for school!

Morris, Lily.

I'm so excited!

Bye, Ruby!

Bye, Max. Have a good morning in class.

What do I do now, Louise?

Don't worry. We'll figure something out.

Hello, Mr. Esteves. This is for you.

Why, thank you, Louise.

That was very thoughtful of you.

[Laughing]

You're welcome!

Good morning, Mr. Esteves. I made this gift for you.

It's to say thank you for being a great teacher.

How nice of you, Ruby.

My goodness, you made this yourself?

Yes.

It's exactly what I needed. Thank you.

I'm glad you like it, Mr. Esteves.

It's very thoughtful and very creative!

Thank you.

That was creative. He really liked it!

Thanks. I am pretty crafty.

Maybe I have time to make a card for Ms. Bunty.

All right, class,

to make sure there's no homework over the school vacation,

we're going to have a pop quiz instead.

Or maybe not.

[Sighing]

"And that is why the stars shine bright."

ALL: And that is why the stars shine bright.

"To help small bunnies sleep through the night."

To help small bunnies sleep through the night.

Very good sleeping, class. Time to wake up now!.

Ms. Bunty, can we give you our gifts now?

Not yet, Lily.

We have one more story to read, then recess.

Okay, Ms. Bunty. I just can't wait!

I'm excited too, Lily.

Are you ready for our last story of the day?

Yeah!

Hurray!

I am.

"In a tiny house..."

In a tiny house...In a tiny house...

"There lived a tiny mouse."

There lived a tiny mouse. There lived a tiny mouse.

Well, that wasn't so bad.

I've still got plenty of time to make something after recess.

Ruby, Louise, don't forget you're helping Ms. Bunty

in her classroom after recess.

Oh, of course.

We'll be there, Mr. Esteves.

Here, quick, just write her a card or something.

Good idea!

Class, I have a little surprise for you.

How about we start recess a little early

with a fun game of soccer?

Sorry, Ruby.

[Sighing]

Hmm.

Paper circles.

And a cup, just what I need!

What are you doing, Max?

I'm collecting things.

[Bell ringing]

Recess!

Come on, let's go!

[Laughing]

Do you want to play, Max?

Nope. I'm collecting things!

Okay. Have fun.

[Gasping]

Sorry, Max!

Perfect!

Max, what are you doing?

LOUISE: Ruby!

Coming!

Got to get back to the game. See you later.

Bye!

What's all this for?

You'll see.

Thank you again, Winston. It's lovely.

I'm glad you like it, Ms. Bunty.

If you like, you can give Ms. Bunty your gift now, Morris.

Oh, my.

It was very sweet of you to make this special card for me.

Do you like the buttons, Ms. Bunty?

Yes, I do. I love buttons.

Thank you, Morris.

All right, now who's left?

Me, me, me!

Okay, Lily, your turn.

This was very nice of you.

[Sniffing]

Lavender, my favourite.

Thank you very much, Lily.

You're welcome, Ms. Bunty.

It's your turn now, Priya.

It's a butterfly. I know you like butterflies.

You're right, Priya. I do. Thank you.

You're welcome.

Thank you, everyone, for your wonderful gifts.

You're welcome, Ms. Bunty!

Now, children, for a special treat,

you can choose whatever classroom activity you wish.

Have fun!

Awesome!

Let's go!

Yay!

Excuse me, Ms. Bunty. I have a gift for you as well.

Oh my goodness, thank you!

In fact,

you've done such a wonderful job as classroom helpers

I have a little gift for you and Ruby.

Wow. You do?

For us?

It's to say thank you for all your help.

Thank you, Ms. Bunty!

You didn't have to do that.

You deserve them.

But Ms. Bunty--

Yes? What's wrong?

This is very thoughtful. But I didn't get you a---

Gift!

This is for you.

Oh, my.

It's from me and Ruby.

Goodness, it's beautiful!

Thank you, both of you!

You're welcome.

You're welcome?

Max, how did you-- when did you--

Easy: I collected things!

That was sweet of you, Max. Thank you.

You're welcome.

[Birds chirping]

[Knocking]

Morris is here!

Firefighter Max to the rescue!

Hi, Louise.

Hi, Morris.

Hello, Max.

Hi.

Ruby is in the dining room.

Thanks, Max.

Want to play fire fighters with me?

We can rescue people and play with my fire truck!

[Imitating siren]

Yeah! A firefighter once rescued my uncle's kite from a tree.

Wow!

Well, we can rescue

my robot!

Okay.

Firefighters Max and Morris to the rescue!

[Imitating siren]

Our birdhouse is going to be

the prettiest one in the whole class.

I agree, Ruby.

It's going to be a lot of work.

But we'll love it when it's done.

Hmm.

That fits better.

I bet it'll be the busiest birdhouse

in all of East Bunnyhop!

Yes.

Robins and warblers and sparrows will all come for a visit.

If we're lucky, we'll even see a cardinal.

They're my favourite. You have the birdseed, right?

Yes, a big bag of it.

Birds need to keep up their energy.

It takes a lot of work to fly.

Hmm. This part is tricky.

It says here that those two pieces go together.

Maybe we need to--

Wait a minute. I think-- A-ha!

You did it, Louise!

The birdhouse looks great.

TRUCK: Emergency! Fire!

[Siren wailing]

[Creaking]

Oh.

Oh, dear. Here, I'll help you.

Max, your fire truck bumped into the table.

Louise and I are trying to finish our birdhouse.

Oops.

Okay.

Can you please play outside?

Come on.

Red alert! Red alert! Danger! Danger!

It's a red alert, Morris.

Hurry. We have to rescue Robot!

Firefighters Max and Morris to the rescue!

Quick, put up the ladder, Max!

Okay.

Hold on, Robot! We're coming!

Red alert! Red alert! Danger! Danger!

Oh, Louise, it's just like the picture!

I bet birds who see this will definitely tell their friends.

I can't wait to get it outside.

I know, me too.

Maybe we can dry it a little faster.

[Blowing]

Red alert! Red alert!

Great rescue, Morris!

Onto the next emergency.

Okay, Chief! Fire truck to the rescue!

[Imitating siren]

Look. Dad put the pole up for us!

Let's set everything down on the table, Louise.

Then we can put the birdhouse up together.

Okay.

This birdseed is a lot heavier than it looks!

[Siren wailing]

Uh-oh.

Runaway fire truck!

[Siren wailing]

Whoa!

Whoa!

Oh, no!Oh, no!

Oops.

Sorry.

I'm glad you want to help people, Max.

But maybe you and Morris

can play at the other end of the yard.

Okay.

Sure.

How's that?

Just a little more to the left.

No, more to the right.

Now?

Back to the left.

Here?

Perfect!

Oh, Louise, it's beautiful! The birds are going to love it.

They'll love it even more with birdseed in it.

Of course!

Perfect.

Woo-hoo, birdies, come and get it!

Maybe the birds won't come to the feeder

if we're standing so close to it.

I wonder how long it will take.

Not too long, I hope.

These leaves are tickling my nose.

Do you see anything?

[Birds chirping]

I think I see a--

Cardinal!

[Siren wailing]

Oh, no!

Fire truck.

[Siren wailing]

Max.

[Sighing]

Ready, firefighters Max and Morris?

Ready!Yep!

There you go!

Thanks, Mom.

You're welcome.

You know, the grass is pretty dry.

So, feel free to give it a good spray with your fire hose.

Okay!

Morris, watch this!

Firefighters Max and Morris to the rescue!

Max, can you please keep an eye on your fire truck?

Okay.

We're rescuing people.

Well, maybe you can rescue a little quieter.

Your fire truck is going to scare away the birds.

We'll try, Ruby.

Thank you, Max.

I don't get it. Where are all the birds?

I don't know.

But I'm sure leaving a trail of birdseed will help.

Birds love birdseed.

Oh!

[Grunting]

Max!

Yes, Ruby?

Max, you need to watch your garden hose, uhh, fire hose.

I tripped over it.

Ruby needs help!

Max to the rescue!

Morris will save the day!

Ruby, are you okay?

I'm fine. But I dropped a lot of birdseed.

Please watch your fire hose.

Okay.

We'll take it back to the station.

Good idea, Morris. Thank you.

Whoa!

[Sighing]

Let me help you, Ruby.

[Giggling]

I can't believe it, Louise.

We haven't had a single bird visit our birdhouse.

I don't understand. It's so pretty.

What if we made bird calls?

Maybe that will attract some birds.

It's worth a try.

[Squawking]

What kind of bird is that, Louise?

Uhh, a seagull, I think.

Maybe more like this.

Chirp, chirp, tweet, tweet.

[Chirping]

I don't think it's working.

Louise, look!

[Chirping]

This is so exciting, our very first visitor!

[Siren wailing]

Oh, no.

Firefighter Max and Morris to the rescue!

[Imitating siren]

Gotcha!

Morris will save you!

More water!

Here comes help!

Woo-hoo!

RUBY: Max!

You're spraying water all over the place.

On our birdhouse, and all over our birdseed.

We're rescuers!

Yeah, we like helping.

I know you do.

But you scared away the only cardinal

to come to our birdhouse.

That one?That one?

Huh?What?

[Chirping]

Do you hear that?

It sounds like--

Come on, Louise!

[Chirping]

Oh, look! Birds are playing in the puddles!

They sure like water.

Did it rain?

Oh, wait, it came from--

Our fire hose!

[Birds chirping]

Oh, this is amazing!

[Chirping]

You can say that again.

Look! There's our cardinal! He's back!

[Chirping]

And mister robin.

Why, hello, there.

Look over there, a warbler!

[Chirping]

Max, you and Morris really saved the day.

Thank you for helping us.

You're welcome.

No problem.

Red alert! Red alert! Danger! Danger!

Uh-oh. We need to rescue Robot.

Don't worry. We'll save you, buddy.

Max to the rescue!

And Morris too!
