Maybe even as a play?

Put on a play?

Of "The Frogand the Fly"?

I'd love to!

I mean...

can I help?

[giggling]Of course!

We need a frog

and a fly.

Perhaps you two couldpractice together,

and perform itnext week.

[together]:We'd love to!

Wonderful.

I'll letyour teacher know.

My class willbe thrilled.

A real play!

I'll write the script.

I can make the props!

R-Ribbit!R-Ribbit!

R-Ribbit! R-Ribbit!

[giggles]And here's my "fly".

Perfect!

I mean... delicious!

Oh... right!

Becausefrogs eat flies.

Got it.

Hee-hee-hee.

We havea lot to do,

so we'd better"hop" to it.

Right! Let's getbuz-z-z-zzy.

[both giggling]

So the play startswith the frog,

just jumping alongthrough the forest...

[♪♪♪]

I have a blue buttonwith four holes,

and a yellow onewith two holes,

and I call this one"Stripey".

[whack-whack]

[clang-cla-clang]

That's it!

That sounds good.

Thanks!

What do youwant to play?

Buttons!

[rattle-clatter]

Okay, I guess.

Or something else?

I know!

[♪♪♪]

I am a very tasty fly.

Bzz!

Too bad you can't hophigh enough to catch me.

That's what you think.

Ribbit! R-Ribbit!

Louise, is my hopping'froggy' enough?

Oh, yes, I think so.

Because I want to bea very believable frog.

Hmm...

Maybe I should hopmore like this...

[whump-twung-twung]

Cool!

It's a guitar.

[laughs] Well,it was our prop box...

but okay.

You can use it, Max,

but we're tryingto rehearse our play.

Can you pleaseplay it upstairs?

We want to doa really good job,

for your class.

Okay.

Now, where were we?

My frog-hopping.

Maybe I shouldsay "hop" when I hop.

Okay, and I cansay "buzz-buzz."

[both laughing]

[swish-click-swish]

[whump-twung]

Ready!

[clang-clang-clang]

Max's Band!

[♪♪♪]

We sound good!

Yeah! And I'm playingtwo things at once!

[twung-ch-ch-twung]

Do you wanttwo things?

Yes!

[♪♪♪]

Buzz.

Is that the best you can do?

You'll never catch me!

Oh, yes, I will.

Hop!

Whoa-oh!

Splat!

Oh, no!I fell in a muddy hole.

The sidesare so slippery.

I can't get out.

[Louise]:Frog is trapped?

Oh, I nevershould have teased her.

This is all my fault!

-[crashing]-Ah!

Max...we're rehearsing.

What do youneed now?

My kazoo!

[bzz-zz-zzt]

Well, I'm gladyou found it,

but we're justgetting

to the most dramaticpart of the play.

And we reallyneed some quiet,

so we canconcentrate. Okay?

Okay.

Do you think thishappens to famous actors

when they rehearse?

Only if they havelittle brothers.

[both giggling]

[♪♪♪]

Thank you,East Bunnyhop!

We need an audience.

I'm sorryI teased you, Frog.

I'll neverdo it again.

And I'll nevereat you, Fly.

I promise.

Let's be friends.

Friends for--

-[Bzzt-ch-ch-clang-clang]-...Ever?

Max's band!

[twung-ch-ch-clang-clang-bzzt]

[♪♪♪]

Wow...That was something.

Reallysomething.

But it's time

for us to go homenow, Morris.

Aw!

Don't worry,you can have

another bandpractice soon.

Okay.

I'll keepthe instruments here.

Here. I foundanother box.

I'll keep our props

and bring themto school tomorrow.

[♪♪♪]

I had no idea you weresuch a good actor, Ruby.

Thanks. You are, too.

Ms. Bunty is goingto be so proud of us.

Farewell, Louise!

Until we meetagain, Ruby.

[♪♪♪]

[Ms. Bunty]:My class is so excited.

We can't waitto see your play.

We can't waitto perform it!

You go aheadand get ready.

I'll round upthe audience.

One, two, three...eyes on me!

It's timefor our special guests,

so please put awayyour activities

and find a placeon the carpet.

Uh... Ruby?

Oh, no!

I brought Max and Morris'box by mistake.

We'd bettertell Ms. Bunty

we can'tperform today.

I know. Without props,they won't even know

who's the Frog...

[twung-twung]

...and whois the Fly.

[bzzt-bzzt]

[twung-twung]

Louise...

[bzzt-bzzt]

What does that soundremind you of?

[bzzt!]

Uh... [gasping]

A fly!

[twung]

And the "boing" sound

reminds meof a frog hopping!

Yes!

So maybewe don't need props

to be our Frogand Fly.

Maybe we justneed some...

[together]:...Sound effects!

[girls giggling]

[Ruby, whispering]:Max...

Morris...

[♪♪♪]

Ribbit!You really think so?

I know you can!

[twung! twung!]

-That's it, Frog!-[bzzt-bzzt-bzzt!]

-You're doing it!-[bzz-zzt-bzzt-bzz-zzt!]

Go, Frog!You can do it!

[others laughing]

[twung!]

[twung!]

I did it...

I got outof the hole!

I knewyou could! Yay!

Thank youfor cheering me on.

It really helped.

I'm sorryI teased you, Frog.

I'll neverdo it again.

And I'll nevereat you, Fly.

I promise!

Let's be friends.

[Ruby and Louise]:Friends forever!

[bzzt-twung-bzz-zzt, twu-u-ung]

That was wonderful!

So creative.

Thanks, Ms. Bunty.

But we couldn't havedone it without...

...Max's band!

...With Morrisand his button jar!

[girls laughing]

[♪♪♪]

You won't catch me, Lobster!

[Lobster's feet clattering]

Bye-bye, Lobster.

Lobster?

♪ Lobster?

[♪♪♪]

-[clattering]-Ah!

Lobster!

[Ruby]: Magnets area force of nature!

[both]:And that's why we love

the wonderful worldof magnets!

Don't forget

the big trickat the end.

[quiet gasp]

Oh, yes.

[clack!]

Hee, hee, hee-hee.

Great job, Louise!

That was a truly"magnetic" performance.

Tee-hee! Thanks, Ruby.

Doesn't our dioramalook great?

This really shows howthings stick to magnets.

But our best idea

has got to be

our super stand-outshowstopper--

our magnetic popper!

[pop!]

[clank]

It's sure to attractthe judges' attention

and win us a ribbonat the Science Fair.

We just need to findthe perfect something

for our magnetic popperto grab on to.

Let's gotry it out.

Look out!

Oh!

No, no, Lobster!

[clunk]

[clank]

[pinchers snapping]

Bye-bye, Lobster!

[thud]

[snapping]

Bye-bye!

[♪♪♪]

[clattering and snapping]

[gasps]

[pinchers snapping]

Ahh!

[sputters and falls silent]

Lobster?

No more Lobster!

No more fun.

I can wind him upand make him go again!

Hey, Lobster.

Where's your wind-up key?

Aw, it didn't stick, Ruby.

Remember whatwe learned, Louise?

Magnets only stickto certain metals.

Oh, yeah!

A magnet is a piece of metal

that can pull some other metals, like iron and nickel,

toward itself.

"And don't forgetthe big trick at the end."

Hee-hee-hee! You got it.

Hmm... I guess this planter

isn't made of somethingthat's magnetic.

Perhaps that'sa good thing,

since it's my favoritecopper planter.

Don't worry, Mom.

We promiseto be careful.

It's all inthe name of science.

In that case,

science is lucky to havea couple of girls like you.

It's really too badthis vase is not magnetic.

These pretty flowers

would take the judges'breath away.

Oh, you knowwhat else is pretty?

Jewelry!

It's verysparkly, Ruby...

...but nothing sticks.

That's play stuff.

The good stuffis under here.

[Louise]: Wow...

Grandmagave it to me.

It's made of nickel,

so it holds onwith a magnet

instead of a pin.

[clank!]

[Louise]: Neat!

But will you be ableto grab it with the popper?

Let's try.

[♪♪♪]

My pin!

It's stuck behind the dresser!

Time to ask your momto help move it.

Unless...

Saved by the magnet!

I don't think we should usethe pin Grandma gave me.

I wouldn't wantanything to happen to it,

even if it isin the name of science.

Hmm.

Where elsewill we find

thingsmade of metal?

Pots and pans!

The kitchen!

Where's your wind-up key,Lobster?

It made you go fast.

My fire truck is fast.

And it doesn't needa wind-up key!

[click]

Fire truck!

[siren whining]

[whump]

[whump-whump]

[whump-whump]

Ugh.

Fire trucksare not like lobsters.

[♪♪♪]

[clink!]

Yay!

That's the best oneso far, Ruby!

It really stuck.

[pop!]

[crashing]

Everythingokay in here?

Uh-huh.

Let me guess...

it's all in the name of science?

Yes.

Cooking pots might notbe the best things

to wow the judges,Louise.

Hmm...

maybe we'll findsomething else

in the cupboardunder the stairs.

Okay...who's the best chaser?

[boing... boing]

[boing, boing]

[sighs]

[robot]: [span]Red alert! Red alert![/span]

[span]Danger! Danger![/span]

[span]Red alert. [span]Red alert.[/span][/span]

[span]Danger. Danger.[/span]

[siren wailing]

[thump]

[engine whirring,siren wailing]

[whump-whump]

Lobsters are the best chasers.

Where are you, key?

Ah-hah.

Not in here.

Not under here.

[girls giggling]

Did you go in there?

Hi, Max.

We founda lucky horseshoe,

and it's magnetic!

Have you seenthe wind-up key for Lobster?

I need it.

No. Sorry, Max.

We can help youlook for it

in a little while.

Okay.

But that toygives me an idea.

Thanks forlending us some toys

for our scienceproject, Max.

Now let's seeif our magnetic popper

will grab any of them.

[click]

[span]Red alert! Red alert![/span]

[pop!]

[span]Danger! Danger![/span]

Yay! Max's robot's

lookingpretty good, Ruby.

But will it reallywow the judges?

How aboutMax's fire truck?

[click]

[siren whining]

[pop]

[clank]

Great sh*t, Ruby!

A fire truck is sureto wow the judges.

Maybe.

What doyou think, Max?

Fire trucksare not like lobsters.

You got that right, Max.

Your fire truck is magnetic, but your lobster is not.

[bonk]

[laughing]

Imagine grabbinga funny lobster

with ourmagnetic popper.

Now, that would bea real showstopper!

It would certainlywow the judges.

Too bad it doesn'tgo without its key.

Yeah, too bad.

Bye-bye, Lobster.

How aboutthe spinning top, Ruby?

[swish-swish-swish]

[pop!]

[clink]

Whoa!

[whirring]

The popper!

I hope the popperhasn't lost its pop!

Better test it.

[pop!]

[thunk]

Phew!

Thanks foryour toys, Max,

but I don't thinkany of them

are quite right forour science experiment.

[gasps]

Look at whatthe popper found!

[fanfare plays]

My wind-up Lobster key!

[key-winder creaking]

[clattering and snapping]

You won't catch me, Lobster!

[clattering and snapping]

[clink!]

Lobsters are not magnetic,

but their metalwind-up keys are...

which is why you can catch onewith a popper-stopper magnet!

Magnetism isa force of nature...

[both]: And that's why we lovethe wonderful world of magnets!

[hushed]:Magnet trick.
