♪ Yeah, let's blaze ♪

- Yeah! Whoo-hoo!

[laughs]

- Ha.

- Whoa!

- [giggles]

- Whoo-hoo!

Oh, yeah!

Nice driving, A.J.!

- Oh, hey, check it out.

Blaze and I are in the jungle.

- Yep. Just two best friends racing through trees...

- And headed for one big jump.

- Whoa! We're gonna need a lot of speed

to make a jump that big.

- Get ready, Blaze, 'cause I'm about to give us blazing speed.

- Oh, yeah!

[upbeat music]

- To give Blaze blazing speed, say, "Let's blaze!"

both: Let's blaze!

[both cheering]

[both laughing]

- Here, Blaze, leaf the clean-up to me.

- Thanks, A.J.

I'm pretty lucky to have a friend like you.

- Hey, look, someone's flying a kite.

- [laughs]

- Aww. It's a little monkey.

- Whoo-hoo!

- But he sure is having fun flying that kite.

- [grumbles]

- Uh-oh. The wind's getting really strong.

- [grunting]

- Gaskets! The monkey's kite's blowing away.

- [gibbers softly]

- Poor little monkey.

- Don't worry, buddy.

I'll get your kite for you.

- [cheers]

- Whoo-hoo!

[upbeat rock music]

♪ ♪

Whoo-hoo!

[horn honks]

Yeah!

- Way to go, Blaze.

You've saved the little monkey's kite.

- [cheers]

- Glad to help, little fella.

Now I just have to--

[ground cracking]

Whoa. Hang on a second.

Hubcaps! The ground is breaking apart.

Whoa!

[grunts]

Looks like I landed

in some kind of sticky mud.

[groans]

Really sticky.

[grunts]

Lugnuts. I can't pull myself out.

- Uh-oh. Blaze needs my help.

I've gotta save him.

- [chattering]

- Little monkey, you want to help, too?

- [chatters excitedly]

- That's great!

We can rescue him together.

Hang on, Blaze.

Monkey and I are on our way.

- Thanks, friends. And good luck.

- This way, monkey.

Friends to the rescue!

- [chatters excitedly]

[upbeat music]

- ♪ Here we go ♪

♪ We're on our way ♪

♪ Ready, set ♪

all: ♪ Let's blaze! ♪

- ♪ Through the turns ♪

♪ And the straightaways ♪

♪ Hit the jump ♪

all: ♪ Let's blaze! ♪

♪ We're on our way ♪

- [vocalizing]

- ♪ Ready for action ♪

♪ Whatever it takes ♪

♪ Come save the day ♪

- [vocalizing]

- ♪ We get you faster ♪

♪ And blaze a new trail ♪

♪ No time to waste ♪

- ♪ Come on ♪

- ♪ Accelerate ♪

- ♪ Come on ♪

- ♪ We're on our way ♪

[upbeat music]

- [cheers]

- Whoa.

Yuck.

A bubbling swamp.

How are we gonna get across this, little monkey?

- [chattering excitedly]

[cheers]

- Whoa. I think the monkey is saying he can swing us

over the swamp with his special tail.

It's an adaptive trait.

All animals have adaptive traits--

special parts and abilities that help them

survive in the places they live.

Some monkeys live high up in the trees,

and over time, their tales have changed

and gotten really good at grabbing onto things.

That helps them pick up food and swing through the branches.

- [laughs]

- All right, little monkey,

let's use that tail and get swinging.

- [laughs]

- Let's count how many branches we have to swing on

to get to that rock over there.

Count with me.

One...

two...

three...

four. Yeah!

Now let's tell our monkey friend

to do four swings with his tail.

Say, "Four swings, monkey!"

Four swings, monkey!

- [gibbers]

[upbeat rock music]

- One...

two...

three...

Four! Yeah!

- Whoo-hoo! [chatters]

- Great going, monkey.

Now let's swing over to this next part of the swamp.

Help count the branches we need to swing on this time.

Count with me.

One...

two...

three!

Now let's tell the monkey to do three swings.

Say, "Three swings, monkey!"

Three swings, monkey!

- [gibbers]

[upbeat music]

- One...

two...

three!

Yeah!

We're almost at the end of the swamp.

Let's count the branches on these last trees.

Count with me.

One...

two...

three...

four...

five!

Now let's tell the little monkey.

Say, "Five swings, monkey!"

Five swings, monkey!

- [gibbers happily]

[upbeat music]

- One...

two...

three...

four...

five!

Yeah!

We made it, thanks to you, monkey, and your amazing tail.

- Uh-huh.

- Now, come on.

Let's keep going so we can save our pal Blaze.

Friends to the rescue!

- [chattering excitedly]

- [groans]

Why did I even come to the jungle?

There's nothing here but leaves and trees

and Pickle telling jokes to animals.

Pickle telling jokes to animals?

[laughter]

- Oh, Oh! Here's a funny one.

What did the cow say when he went to school?

♪ A, B, C, D, E, F, moo! ♪

[laughter]

- Oh, hey, Crusher.

Isn't it great?

These animals think my jokes are so funny.

Watch, watch.

What did the duck say to the other duck?

Quack, quack!

[laughter]

- Come on.

I could make up a way funnier joke than that.

Watch this.

[clears throat]

Knock, knock.

- Ooh, ooh! Who's there?

- Hot dogs.

- Hot dogs who?

- Hot dogs who...um...

- Hot dogs who dance on your head?

- Yeah! Hot dogs who dance on my head.

Wait, what?

Hot dogs?

[stammers]

[laughter]

- You were right, Crusher. That's so funny.

[laughter]

- [grunting]

- [chatters]

- Thanks, monkey.

- [chatters]

- Now let's give Blaze a call and see how he's doing.

- [grunts]

- Hey, Blaze. How's it going?

- Oh, hi, A.J.

I keep trying to pull myself

out of this mud, but...

[grunts]

It's too sticky.

- Well, don't worry.

Monkey and I are getting closer.

We just need to get past the mountains up ahead.

- Ooh!

- Hm. Well, keep a lookout.

If you find a cave, it could be a shortcut.

- Good idea.

Thanks, Blaze.

Come on, monkey.

Let's look for a cave to get through those mountains.

- [cheers]

- Look carefully.

When you see a cave, say, "Cave!"

Cave! There it is.

This way, monkey!

[upbeat music]

- [chatters inquisitively]

- That sure is a dark cave.

We're gonna need a light to get through there.

- [chatters excitedly]

- Oh, yeah! There's a light.

And it's coming from...

a firefly!

- [chirps]

- This firefly can make light for us.

Their bioluminescent bodies shine in the dark.

It's an adaptive trait.

Remember, adaptive traits

help animals survive in their environment.

Fireflies come out when it's dark.

So to send messages to each other,

they develop special bodies that can light up.

Hey, little firefly.

- [chirps]

- Can you use your light to help me and monkey

see in this dark cave?

- [chirps]

- All right!

Light the way, firefly!

[upbeat rock music]

- Whoo-hoo!

[chattering]

- Ha. Whoa.

Yeah.

Whoa!

- [chattering]

[upbeat rock music]

both: Whoa.

- [chirping]

- Check out all those crystals.

And look, there's a way out of the cave.

We just have to climb to the top.

- [gibbering]

- Hm? - Uh-oh.

Watch out, little monkey.

- Uh-oh. Ooh!

- Gotcha!

- Whew.

- We'd better be careful.

Looks like some of the crystals break

if we try and climb on them.

- [chirping]

- But look, firefly found a sign.

It says the crystals shaped like triangles

are safe and won't break.

- Come on. Let's look for some.

- [chirping]

- Do you see any triangles here?

No. Let's look somewhere else.

- [chirping]

- Are there triangles here?

Yeah!

That's a triangle,

that's a triangle,

and that's a triangle.

All right!

Let's get climbing.

[all grunting]

- Now let's look for more triangles

so we can climb higher.

[chirping]

- Are there triangles over here?

Nope. Let's keep looking.

- [chirping]

- Are there triangles here?

-Uh-uh. No triangles there.

- [chirps]

- Are there triangles over here?

Yeah! Those are triangles.

[all grunting]

- [cheers]

- Yeah!

We're almost at the top.

We just need a few more triangles.

- [chirps]

- Do your thing, firefly.

- [chirps]

- Are there triangles here?

Nope. Try again, firefly.

- [chirping]

- Are there triangles here?

No. Better keep looking.

- [chirping]

- Are there triangles here?

- Yeah! We found the triangles.

[all grunting]

Yeah!

We made it out of the cave.

[laughter]

Thanks for your help, firefly.

- [chirping]

- Hey, do you want to come with us

to save our friend Blaze?

- [chirping]

- Great! Then follow me, animals!

[all cheering]

♪ Falcons have sharp claws ♪

Okay, how about this?

What kind of sandwich does a skunk like to eat?

Peanut butter and smelly!

[laughter]

- Am I right?

You know it's true.

- [grumbles] Give me that microphone.

I'm gonna tell a way funnier joke than that.

Ooh! I can't wait to hear it.

- Hey, animals, knock, knock.

- Who's there?

- Toothbrushes.

- Toothbrushes who?

Toothbrushes who...um...

- Dance on your head?

- Exactly.

Toothbrushes who dance on my head.

Oh, no.

[laughs]

[laughter]

- Crusher, you are the funniest.

[laughs]

[all cheering]

[upbeat music]

[watch chimes]

- Hang on, animals. We're getting a call.

- Hey, A.J.

- It's Blaze.

How are you doing, Blaze?

- Uh, I'm okay.

I just wish I could pull myself

out of this sticky mud.

- Don't worry, Blaze.

Nothing's gonna stop us from rescuing you.

I promise.

- Thanks, buddy. I'll see you soon.

- Come on, animals. This way!

[cheering]

[upbeat music]

- [cheers]

- Hm. I wonder what that strange sound is.

- [chirps fearfully]

[dramatic music]

- Oh, no. Giant mud balls!

Look out!

[suspenseful music]

♪ ♪

- [exhales]

- If we're gonna rescue Blaze,

we need some way to get past those mud balls.

But now?

[elephant trumpets]

Whoa. An elephant.

And he's got the perfect adaptive trait to help us.

His trunk.

Elephants live where it's hot out,

so they need to keep cool.

Over time, their trunks have gotten really good

at slurping up water and spraying it out again.

They spray it onto their bodies

and into their mouths to drink.

Hey there, elephant, can you spray water from your trunk

to help us blast away some mud balls?

- [trumpets]

- [laughs]

Great! Then let's get some water and get blasting.

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

[cheering]

[upbeat music]

Let's tell the elephant when it's time to blast out water.

When you see mud balls coming, say, "Mud balls!"

Mud balls!

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

[all cheering]

- Yeah! Nice blasting, elephant.

- [trumpets]

[upbeat music]

- Keep looking.

When you see more giant mud balls, say, "Mud balls."

Mud balls!

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

- Yeah!

[upbeat music]

Just a little farther.

When you see more mud balls, say, "Mud balls."

Mud balls!

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

Yeah!

[cheering]

All right!

We made it past the mud balls.

Thanks, elephant.

- [trumpets]

[laughter]

- [chatters]

- You're right, little monkey.

There's the mud pit.

Hang on, Blaze.

Friends to the rescue!

[all cheering]

- [grunts]

- Blaze, up here.

- A.J., you made it!

- That's right.

And I brought some friends

to help you get out of there.

[hollering]

- Whoa. Hey, animals.

- Okay, friends, let's get to work.

Firefly, can you use your light to find a long vine?

- [chirping]

- Perfect.

Now, elephant,

I need you to hold on to that vine

with your strong trunk

so we can climb down.

- [trumpets]

[upbeat music]

- All right!

- [cheers]

- Okay, monkey, can you use your tail

to swing me to Blaze?

- [gibbering]

- Whoo-hoo!

- Whoa!

Way to go, A.J.!

Good to have you back in the driver's seat.

- Thanks, Blaze.

Now, let's get you out of here.

- [grunts] It's not gonna be easy.

This mud is super sticky.

- You can do it, Blaze.

I just need to give you some extra power.

The power of...

blazing speed!

- Ready when you are, A.J.

- To give Blaze blazing speed,

say, "Let's blaze!"

Both: Let's blaze!

[upbeat music]

[both cheering]

[upbeat music]

- All right!

- We did it.

[all cheering]

- [trumpets]

- [chatters excitedly]

- Thanks, everyone.

I never would've gotten out of there

if it weren't for all of your help.

- [chirps]

- [trumpets]

- You're welcome, Blaze.

And hey, now that you're safe,

what should we all do?

- [grunts excitedly]

[gibbering]

- Great idea, little monkey.

Let's all fly a kite.

[all cheering]

- [chattering excitedly]

- [chirping]

- [chatters]

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

[all laughing]

♪ ♪

[all cheering]

- All right, all right, animals,

I'll tell one last joke,

and it is the funniest joke ever.

What did the sheep do when he got dirty?

He took a baaath.

[laughter]

- Whoa--whoa--whoa--whoa.

There is no way that's the funniest joke ever.

I'll tell you funniest joke ever.

[clears throat]

Knock, knock.

- Who's there?

- Bananas.

- Bananas who?

- Bananas who...um...

- Dance on your head?

- Bananas who dance on my head!

Wait, no. Not that.

[laughs]

- You were right, Crusher.

That is the funniest joke ever.

[laughs]
