- Hey, glad you're here.

We're in a big hurry to see a really cool show.

- Yeah, a magic show!

- And look, that's where it's gonna be!

In that big tent!

- Shoo-whee! Let's go check it out!

[rock music]

- Whoa! - Wow!

- Well, bust my bumpers!

This magic show is going to be amazing!

- Ooh, I'm so excited!

I love magic and shows!

[horn honks]

- Out of my way! Coming through!

- Whoa!

- Hey, Crusher, you're here to see the magic show too?

- Oh yeah, no one loves magic more than me!

[upbeat music]

- It's starting!

- Ladies and gentle-trucks,

prepare to be amazed by the magic of...

me!

Pickle the Amazing!

- Whoa! It's Pickle!

- He's the magician!

- Thank you. Thank you.

- Pickle? You can do magic?

- You bet I can!

So long as I have my magic wand.

[audience gasps]

- Hey, Pickle, how do you do your magic?

- Ah, a magician never tells their secrets...

until today!

To make my wand do magic,

I just have to say the magic word.

Abraca-pickle!

Come on, let's say the magic word together!

Say Abraca-pickle!

Abraca-pickle!

- Whoa! Pickle's magic made a balloon!

- And spaghetti.

- And a pumpkin.

- You see, folks, magic is easy when you know the magic word.

Abraca-pickle!

- ♪ Abraca-pickle ♪

- ♪ The word itself has such a lovely ring ♪

- Abraca-what?

- ♪ Abraca-pickle, Abraca-pickle ♪

- ♪ With my wand, I can whip up anything ♪

- Anything?

- ♪ Something silly, something cute ♪

♪ Something bouncy or a boot ♪

- ♪ Something incredible or edible, okay ♪

- Yay!

- ♪ Abraca-pickle, Abraca-pickle ♪

♪ Abraca-pickle's what we say ♪

[cheers and applause]

- Thank you! Thank you!

Oh! You're too kind!

- [scoffs]

Everyone thinks Pickle is so amazing

because he can do magic tricks.

Well, I could do magic too if I had a--[gasps]

Magic wand!

[groans]

But I shouldn't use Pickle's magic wand without asking.

Ah, maybe just one little trick.

I mean, what could go wrong?

[giggles]

All I have to do now is remember the magic word.

It's, um, abra--abraca... uh, ooh!

I remember!

Abraca-purple-popcorn-pajamas!

Wait, that wasn't right.

[yells, whimpers]

- That's strange.

My one balloon became a lot of balloons.

And they're taking me with them!

[yells]

- Hopping hubcaps!

This bowl of spaghetti turned into a spaghetti tornado!

[yelling]

- Oops. That wasn't supposed to happen.

Well, at least nothing bad happened to me.

[whimpering, yelling]

- Oh, that sounds like...

- [yells] - Crusher!

- Get me off of here!

- Whoa!

- Whoa!Help!

- Gaskets! It's our friends!

- And they're in big trouble!

- Whoa! - Whoa!

- Oh, no!

Someone must have used my wand and said the wrong magic word!

- Don't worry, Pickle.

I know someone who can fix those magic spells

and save our friends.

- Really? Who?

- Pickle the Amazing!

- Pickle the Amazing?

Ha! That's me!

- Yeah, you can do it, Pickle.

You're a great magician.

- Huh, you're right.

With my magic wand, there's nothing I can't do.

- Yeah!

- Pickle the Amazing to the rescue!

- Whoo-hoo-hoo! - All right!

[calm music]

- Hang tight!

[yelling]

- Whew!

- Whoa!

[musical car horn honking]

Whoa!

- Look, there goes Darington!

- Oh, no!

Those balloons knocked him into that cement mixer!

And now it's filling the street with cement!

Watch out! - Whoa!

- Help!

- Oh, boy!

We've got to rescue Darington from those balloons!

But we can't drive through all this wet cement!

What'll we do?

- Hmm, we need something that's just the right length

to get us to the other side.

So come on, let's measure! - Yeah!

When you measure,

you figure out how long or how tall something is.

First, you line up your ruler

at the start of what you're measuring.

Then you follow the numbers

till you get to the end of what you're measuring.

- The cement ends at this number here.

What number is that?

Five! Yeah!

This pool of cement is five meters long.

- Ooh!

I could make something that'll get us that far!

Abraca-pickle!

It's a five-meter rainbow!

- Whoa! - Whoo-hoo!

- Whee!

Hooray! - We made it!

- Whoa!

- And there's Darington!

- Whoa! Whoa!

Look out below!

- Oh, boy!

- We're going to need something really tall

to get over all those big boxes.

- Come on, let's measure!

- To measure,

let's put our ruler at the bottom of the boxes.

Then we follow the numbers to the top of the boxes.

- The pile of boxes ends here.

What number is that?

Seven! Yeah!

The pile of boxes is seven meters tall!

- I know something that could get us up that high!

Abraca-pickle!

It's a giant toy giraffe!

- Wow!

- Way to go, Pickle!

- [yelling]

- Look! There goes Darington!

He's headed right for the top of that tall building!

- Whoa!

- I've got to get up to him

so I can stop the balloons with my magic wand!

- Come on! Help us measure.

Let's line up our ruler at the bottom of the building,

and follow the numbers all the way to the top.

What number is that?

! Yeah!

- Whoa, Pickle,

can you make something meters tall?

- I can try!

Abraca-pickle!

- Whoa! - Whoa!

- Whee!

- Gaskets!

- It's a -meter stack of waffles!

- Help!

Up here, fellas!

- [gasps] Now's our chance to save Darington.

Help me say the magic word.

Say "abraca-pickle"!

Abraca-pickle!

- Whoa! Whoo-hoo-hoo!

- You did it, Pickle!

Your magic changed all those balloons into one balloon!

- Phew! - Yeah!

- Hooray! - All right!

- Thanks for saving me, and for bringing waffles!

[chomp]

[laughter]

- Check it out!

Three of our friends need rescuing.

Well, we just saved Darington from the balloons!

How many friends still need our help?

Two! Yeah!

We've got to save Starla from the spaghetti tornado

and rescue Crusher from that giant pumpkin!

- Hang on, monster machines, we're going down!

[cheers]

[rock music]

- ♪ How long ♪ - ♪ Measure it ♪

- ♪ Get a ruler, it's a tool with a straight edge ♪

- Excuse me! Pardon me!

I sure am getting dizzy!

[yells]

- Hey, that sounds like Starla!

- And look, there she is in the spaghetti tornado!

- Uh-oh!

It's headed right for that cotton candy factory!

- Whoa, whoa, whoa!

- Gaskets!

The spaghetti tornado is making the cotton candy go everywhere!

- Whoa, whoa! Watch out!

- Look out! - Whoa!

- Uh-oh!

- Whoa!

Hubcaps!

We're trapped inside the cotton candy!

- Hello! - Where is everybody?

- Help!

- And it sounds like Darington, Pickle, and Starla

are trapped too!

How are we all gonna get out of here?

- Well, there's too much cotton candy

to eat our way out.

So we'll have to dig our way out.

- Yeah!

We can build a continuous miner machine.

Continuous miner machines are powerful machines

that can dig a tunnel through anything,

even solid rock!

- Come on! Let's get building!

First, we need a crawler track

to move the miner machine forward.

To make the crawler track, say "crawler track."

Crawler track!

Next, we need rotating cutters.

The cutters do all the digging to make a big tunnel.

To make the rotating cutters, say "rotating cutters"!

Rotating cutters!

Last, we need a conveyer.

It takes all the pieces the miner machine digs up

and moves them out of our way.

To make the conveyer, say "conveyer"!

Conveyer!

[chuckles] Yeah!

I'm a continuous miner monster machine!

- All right!

Let's get digging!

- Whoo-hoo!

- Yeah!

It's working, Blaze!

We're making the tunnel through the cotton candy.

- Oh, help me!

[gasps] That sounds like Darington!

- We've got to find him, but we can't see where he is!

- Darington, how far away are you?

- Hmm, I think that I'm exactly six meters away!

- Six meters away.

Let's measure to figure out how far we have to dig.

- Count to six with us.

both: One, two, three,

four, five, six.

- Whoo-hoo!

- Oh, wow! Darington!

- [laughs] You found me!

Ooh, nice rotating cutters!

- Thanks!

- Yoo-hoo! It's me, Pickles!

Can you dig me out next?

- You got it, Pickle! How far away are you?

- I'm eight meters away!

- Come on! Let's measure!

- Count to eight with us!

both: One, two, three,

four, five, six,

seven, eight.

- Oh, yeah! - Whoo-hoo!

- Yeah! - Hooray!

You saved me!

And now there's just one friend left to find.

- Help!

all: Starla!

- Starla, how far away are you?

- I think I'm seven meters away from--

ohhhh!

- Seven meters away. Let's measure.

- Count to seven with us.

both: One, two, three,

four, five, six, seven.

- Yeah! - We made it!

- Whoa! - And there's Starla!

And she's still spinning in that spaghetti tornado.

- I'm so dizzy!

- Don't worry, Starla!

Pickle the Amazing to the rescue!

Help me say the magic words to stop that spaghetti.

Say "abraca-pickle"!

Abraca-pickle!

- Whoa!

[grunts]

- Starla! - Hooray!

- We're so glad you're safe!

- Ooh-whee! Thanks, fellers.

All that spinning was making me dizzy,

and kinda hungry.

[slurp]

Mm-mmm! Tasty!

[laughter]

- Check it out.

We saved Darington and Starla.

That means there's only one monster machine

left to rescue.

Who is it?

Crusher! Yeah!

He's still roaming around on that giant pumpkin!

- Don't worry, Crusher, we're coming!

[cheers]

[laughter]

- Pickle the Amazing to the rescue!

- Come on down to the Fall Festival, folks!

Where you can ride rides,

win prizes, see Crusher on a giant pumpkin!

Crusher on a giant pumpkin?

Gotta go!

[yelling]

- It's out of control!

- Somebody stop this pumpkin!

Whoa!

[groans]

- Hopping hubcaps!

That giant pumpkin rolled right onto a rollercoaster!

- Oh, man!

We've got to stop that thing and save Crusher!

But how?

- This sounds like a job for Pickle the Amazing!

And also Blaze and A.J.!

- Yeah! - It's roller coaster time!

Oh yeah! - Yay!

[cheers]

- Yeah!

[rock music]

[yelling]

- Look, there's Crusher! - Hang on, big fella!

- [grunts]

- Whoa! - Uh-oh!

That big heavy pumpkin broke the roller coaster track.

- Lug nuts!

We've got to fix the track so we can stop that pumpkin!

- Quick, let's measure.

Let's put our ruler at the start of the empty space.

Now, follow the numbers to the end of the space here

at the number four.

- That means we need a piece that's four meters long

to fix the roller coaster.

- Leave that to me and my magic wand!

Abraca-pickle!

Whoa! I made a lot of pieces.

- Now let's measure

to see which one is exactly four meters long.

Which piece goes exactly to the number four?

The purple piece! Yeah!

It goes exactly this far to the number four!

♪ ♪

- [grunts]

- Hooray! - Yeah!

And look! There's Crusher!

- [yelling, whimpering]

- Oh, no! More broken track!

- Come on! It's time to measure!

- To fix this part of the track,

we need a piece that fits in the empty space.

A piece that's six meters long!

- Ooh! I can help!

Abraca-pickle!

- Let's use our ruler!

Which piece is six meters long?

The red piece! Yeah!

- [grunts]

Yeah! - Good stick!

- Now follow that pumpkin!

- [yells]

- Yeah! - All right!

- [whimpering]

- Uh-oh.

To fix this last part,

we're gonna need the biggest roller coaster piece yet.

We need a piece that's seven meters long!

- Here goes nothing!

Abraca-pickle!

- Which piece is seven meters long?

The blue one! Yeah!

♪ ♪

- Yay! - We fixed it!

- Now I can finally save my best pal, Crusher!

- [yells]

- Before he rolls off the end of that roller coaster!

- [yells] I can't look!

- To rescue Crusher,

we're going to have to go super fast

and use blazing speed!

[whirring]

- Whoa!

- To give us blazing speed, say, "Let's Blaze!"

both: Let's Blaze!

♪ ♪

- Somebody help!

- There he is!

- Quick! Let's say the magic word!

Shout "abraca-pickle"!

Abraca-pickle!

- [yells]

[moans]

- Crusher! - You're safe!

- Boy, are we happy to see you!

- Are you okay, big fella? - Yeah.

I'm just sorry I used your magic wand without asking.

- Aww, that's okay, Crusher.

Next time, just remember to ask!

Then we can say the magic word to do something really fun.
