- A video game? I love video games!

Well, you're gonna love this game.

It's called "Dragon Rescue"!

- [yells]

- In the game, there's a really friendly dragon,

and the dragon loves to fly.

- Whoa, look at him go!

- [laughs]

- One day, he sees a big castle tower.

And when he lands to get a closer look,

the dragon gets locked inside!

- [groans and sighs]

- [gasps] Aww, poor dragon!

- How do we save him?

- The door to the tower has three locks,

and the only way to open it is to get the three keys.

The first key is a Speedy Key.

- [chitters]

- It's really fast and hard to catch.

- [yells]

- The second key is a Hiding Key.

[cheerful game music]

- [chuckles]

- It's tough to find

because it can change color to hide anywhere.

- [laughs]

- Oh, boy! - But what about the third key?

- The third key is the hardest one to get of them all.

That's because it's a Magic Key!

- [laughs]

- And the magic key can do magic spells.

- Brr-hoo! [shouts spell]

- Whoa! - That's some game!

- So who wants to go first?

- Oh, me first, me first![laughs]

This is gonna be so much fun!

- Uh, Crusher, be careful.

- You're headed for that puddle.

- [yelps]

[upbeat music]

- No! Crusher dropped it!

- And it looks like something funny

is happening to the video game!

- Whoo! - Whoo-hoo!

- Gaskets!

The three keys just came out of the game!

- Whoo-hoo!

- The Speedy Key is running away!

And it's going really fast!

- The Hiding Key's getting away too!

- [chuckles]

- Well, at least the Magic Key's still here.

- [laughs]

- Oh, no, this is terrible!

[magical chime]

- Uh-oh. Without those keys,

we can't rescue the dragon from that tower.

- [groans]

- Hey, don't worry, dragon.

We're still gonna get you out of that tower, I promise.

- Hooray! Wait, but how?

- Yeah, those keys could be anywhere.

- A.J. and I can find them. Right, A.J.?

- Yeah, it'll be just like in the video game,

only we'll be playing it here, in Axle City.

- Come on, then. We've got a video game to win.

- Remember, to rescue the friendly dragon

from our video game, we need to get three keys.

That sounds like one of the keys now!

It's the Speedy Key!

- [chittering]

- Hubcaps! - That is one fast key!

- But I know how we can catch it.

Look! Wherever the key goes,

it leaves behind shapes with special powers.

And if we find the right shapes,

they'll give us speed power

so we can go just as fast as the key!

- Yeah, and I know how to find the shapes we need.

We'll use geometry!

[screen beeps]

Geometry is the part of math that teaches us about shapes.

- And to get speed power,

we need to find this shape with three sides.

One, two, three. What shape is this?

A triangle! Yeah!

Come on, help me look for triangle power shapes!

The triangle gave us speed power.

- Hang tight, dragon. We're gonna find those keys.

- Okay, then. I guess I'll give it a try.

[laughs] Wow!

This rectangle gave me bouncy power!

[laughs] Whoa-oh!

Ooh, let's see what the circle one does.

- Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

[laughs]

Now I got spinning power! [chuckles]

Gee, I can't wait to see what power this octagon has.

- Oh, no, Pickle. This octagon is mine.

And I bet it's gonna have a way better power

than those other shapes.

I got... mustache power?

- Oh, I wanna try that!

[laughs]

Yay! Now we both have mustaches.

[musical car horn honking]

- Keep a look out, A.J.

We still got two more keys to find.

- [chuckling] - Do you hear that?

- Look!

The key just turned green to hide by that green dumpster.

- [chuckles] Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Ooh!

- And now, it's turning blue

to hide by those blue oil drums.

- [laughs] Whoo!

[chuckles]

- Whoa, and now it's turning lavender!

- [snickers]

- Hurry, Blaze! It's getting away!

[engine roars]

[tires squeal]

- Hubcaps! I don't see the key anywhere.

It must be hiding.

- Yeah, but we know how to find it.

Remember, the key just turned lavender,

so it's gonna be hiding someplace

that's the same color.

- Where do you see the color lavender?

That blanket! Right!

- [laughs] Whoo!

- And there's the Hiding Key!

- [laughs]

- Uh-oh, it's changing color again.

And this time, it's turning turquoise.

- [laughs]

- Follow that key!

[engine roars and tires squeal]

Hmm, that key's gotta be hiding around here somewhere.

- Remember, the Hiding Key's turquoise now.

So let's look!

- Where do you see the color turquoise?

That door is turquoise! Yeah!

- [chuckles] Ooh.

- And there's the key! - Whoo-hoo!

[laughs] Whoo-hoo!

- Oh, man, this time it's turning maroon!

- Whoo-hoo-hoo!

- You're not getting away this time, Hiding Key!

[tires squealing]

[upbeat music]

- [chuckles] - Listen.

The Hiding Key must be somewhere nearby.

- To find the key this time, we just need to look for

something that's the color maroon.

- Where do you see the color maroon?

That box! Yeah!

- [laughs] - Not so fast, Hiding Key.

- We got you!

[key chimes]

Look, Blaze, the Hiding Key's going back into the video game!

- And it's opening up the second lock on the tower!

- [laughs]

- To free the dragon,

we just need one more key, the Magic Key.

- [groans]

- Don't worry, dragon.

A.J. and I can find that Magic Key.

- Yeah, 'cause we're... both: Video game heroes!

[engine roars and tires squeal]

[playful music]

- [gasps] Crusher, Crusher!

Look what I found. More power shapes!

Here, you wanna see what power this oval has?

- Nah, those power shapes never do anything cool.

- Okay, then, I'll try.

This sparkle power feels pretty cool!

- [groans]

To rescue the dragon from our video game,

we only need to find one more key.

- Yeah, it sounds like the Magic Key!

Help us look for it.

- [mutters spell and laughs]

- It looks like the key's doing a magic spell,

a spell to make a cannon!

- Oh, man. If we're gonna get that key,

we've gotta find some way to get past this cannon.

- Hey, I've got an idea.

Let's use a shield to knock those cannonballs away.

- Yeah! We can build one out of shapes!

We'll use geometry!

- To make a shield,

first we'll need a pentagon like this.

- Now we'll need four triangles.

But it's about to do more magic!

- And this time, it's a spell to make...

a giant wall!

Whoa, this wall is really big!

- Then we'll have to use geometry

to build something strong enough to knock it down.

We'll make a sledgehammer!

- To make a sledgehammer,

first we'll need two rectangles.

- Now we need six trapezoids.

It's the Magic Key! We've almost got it!

we're gonna have to get past one last magic spell,

a spell that makes giant bubbles!

We're gonna need something that can pop those bubbles.

- Hey, I know!

Let's use geometry to make a sword!

- First, we'll need three triangles.

- Last, we need four parallelograms, like this.

- All right! - Let's go pop some bubbles!

Now there's only one bubble left.

But it's floating away with the Magic Key inside!

- [shouts mockingly]

- That key's not getting away this time,

'cause we've got blazing speed.

To give me blazing speed, say, "let's blaze!"

[driving rock music]

[musical car horn honking]

- [gasps]

- Whoo-hoo! - We got the key!

- Look, it's going back into the video game!

- And it's heading toward the last lock!

[game chimes]

- [cheers]

- It worked! - The dragon's free!

- [shouts happily]

- Whoo-hoo! - We did it, A.J.

We rescued the dragon and won the game!

- Whoa, I wonder what's happening now.

- He's here in Axle City!

- [laughs and cheers]

I think the dragon wants to take us for a ride.
