I guess moving here
really tired her out.

Clifford: and then
tricksie kept coming up

With these great
new games for us to play,

But she never really
did play with us.

She got tired so fast.

Well, a bouncing little
red ball of energy

Could make
anyone tired.

What? We weren't playing
with a red ball.

I meant you, clifford.

red ball of energy.

I am?

Yes. You can
play for hours,

But just because someone
is different from you,

It doesn't mean
you can't have fun
with them.

You just have to figure
out a way to play

That works
for both of you.

Me? Of course not.

I'm in tiptop shape.

Uh, well, we were just

some other kind of game,

Well, since it looks
like we're all stuck
inside today,

I tell you a true story

About the time when
I was in the circus?

Come one, come all,
and see the famous mrs. Z

And her amazing
dancing dog tricksie!

[Audience cheers]

Tricksie: oh, boys!

We traveled
from town to town

And did lots
of fun circus acts.

I rode a very nice elephant
by the name of gladys,

Did tricks on
the trapeze with mrs. Z,

Performed as a clown,

And...

I got to dive into
a tiny pool of water
from way up high.

Audience: ooh!

Whoa!

[Cheers and applause]

Oh, and the best of all,

After all those years
traveling with the circus,

Now I get to live
the quiet life with mrs. Z.

But after all
that excitement,

Isn't living here...
Boring?

Boring? Oh, ho, ho, no.

Not at all.

Well, I've got mrs. Z,

And all of our
wonderful memories

And best of all,
now I've got
two new friends.

Boy, and that's us, huh?

Oh, you got it.

Wow! You know,
I'm sorry, tricksie.

At first, I wasn't sure
how we were gonna
play with you,

But now I know we can
have lots of fun
together.

You tell great stories
and you're really nice

And you know all kinds
of neat tricks, too!

Well, I'm glad
you think so.

Now, how about
I teach you two
some circus tricks?

[Barks]

It looks like
you're having fun,
clifford.

You know, you were right,
daffodil.

Even if someone
is different from you,

You can still have
a great time playing
with them.

some pretty good tricks.

And with her help,
I'll learn them, too!

Emily: clifford?!
Where are you, boy?!

Ok, pick one out.

This looks like
a great story.

[Toy squeaks]

Emily: today's story
is "speckle gets well."

One day, speckle wasn't
feeling very well,

So he had to stay in bed.

His friend reba came by
and wanted to jump rope
with him,

But speckle couldn't.

And he couldn't play ball
with darnell.

Or bounce on
ravi's trampoline

Or even play hopscotch
with luna.

All speckle could do
was lay in bed,

And since no one wanted
to leave speckle alone

While they played,

The decided to take turns
reading him a story

And keeping him company
as he got better
and better and better,

And finally, when speckle
was well enough to go
outside and play,

He was very happy,

But he was even happier
that he could play with
the very friends

Who had cared so much
about him

And helped make him
feel better.

The end.

I love reading
stories together.

You know, clifford,

For such a small dog,

You sure are
a big reader.

Ruff!

Ok, I need pajamas,
slippers, my toothbrush...

[Whimpers]

Hey, you and daffodil
can keep each other company.

Ohh, this is going
to be so much fun!

a sleepover at
nina's before.

and work together,

Big jobs can turn out
to be really small.

That's why clifford's
