Every time I see it,

- Tomás, Lorelei,
load the cargo.

both: Aye, aye, capitán!

- Whoo-hoo!

- [gasps]

Okay, mateys, let's find the
perfect place to hang it up.

- Shimmering seashells!
It's perfect!

- Now it really
feels like home.

- I still can't believe

this whole place grew out
of a teeny, tiny magic seed.

- I still can't believe
it's got so much cool stuff.

This swing,
the world's longest slide.

- A view of the whole island.

- Coquí!
[squeaks]

- And this super cute statue
of a San Pedrito bird.

- I agree!
I'm super cute!

- [gasps]
- Caracoles!

Did that super cute statue
just talk?

- Sí!It is I, devoted friend
of the Pirate Protector,

El Guardián.

all: Whoa.

- I have always been around
to help every Pirate Protector,

all the way back
to the very first,

Nikita la Chiquita,
mi mejor amiguita.

So I see you are enjoying
your headquarters.

- We are!

I've gone down the slide
a million times.

- [chuckles] And it has so many
secrets yet to discover,

including a hidden treasure.

all: Treasure?

- Yes, a special treasure

for whoever can solve the four
Pirate Protector puzzles

before time runs out.

But you should know many
Pirate Protectors before you

have tried to find it,
but failed.

- If they couldn't do it,
how can I?

- Because you're Santiago.

- Yeah, capitán,
let's find that treasure.

- All right, Guardián,
we're in.

- Estupendo!

You will find the first puzzle
below the bottom.

Go!

[bell rings]

- Below the bottom
of the headquarters?

What would that be?

- Hmm. The sea's below
the bottom of the headquarters.

- Bien hecho, Lorelei.

The first puzzle
must be underwater.

Vamos!

A la aventura!

Whoa!

Whoo-hoo!
[laughter]

- Bracelet of pearl...

to mermaid from girl.

Bubbles of air
for Tomás and Santiago to wear.

- Mira!
- Whoa!

A giant slide puzzle.

We're supposed
to move those squares

until they form a picture.

♪ ♪

[grunts]

- [grunts]

♪ ♪

- How are we supposed
to make a picture

if we don't know what
the picture is supposed to be?

[grunts]

♪ ♪

- Huh, those crabs
look particularly peculiar.

- Are they
covering something up?

- I'll ask.

Excuse me, little mateys,
can you please move aside?

Sparkling seashells!

That's the picture
we need to make.

- Great work, Lorelei.

Can you tell me which ones
to move?

Espada fuerza!

♪ ♪

- That one.

Now that one.

Up.

Down.

Over.

Over there.

all: Wepa!
We did it!

[chime]
- Bien hecho.

Now to find puzzle number two.
[clears throat]

When you're up, you're up,

and when you're down,
you're down.

But when you're
only halfway up,

you're neither up nor down.

- Hmm, the only thing that's

halfway up the headquarters
is...Sea Dog Deck.

- Rápido!

[upbeat music]

- I don't see anything.

- Hold your seahorses.

♪ La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la! ♪

[piano playing]
- Coquí!

♪ ♪

- Caracoles!
It's a giant piano!

[laughs]

- What's the puzzle?

[tune plays]

♪ ♪

- Melodious manatees!

I think we are meant
to play back the same tune.

- I think you're right.
Here goes.

[tune playing]
Whoa, whoa!

Oof!
[sour notes play]

Rayos!
There's so many notes.

You're the musician,
primo.Any ideas?

- ♪ [humming tune] ♪

I got this!
Come on, follow me!

♪ ♪

- ♪ Step right here,
then jump over there ♪

♪ One, two, three, it's easy,
you'll see ♪

♪ Three notes here,
then just three more there ♪

♪ And we're done ♪

- Música maravillosa!

You did it!

- Great work, primo!

- Two puzzles down,
two more to go

till you get that treasure.

To get to the finish,
come where you started.

all: The school room!

Vamos!

♪ ♪

- Bienvenidos, piratas!
Time for the third puzzle.

Listos?
[bell rings]

- Oh, no, Santi!
Look at our time!

- Don't worry, primo.
We got this.

We're ready, Guardián.

- I told you your headquarters
has many hidden secrets,

including here
in the Skull Room,

hidden calaveras.

To solve the third puzzle,
count all the calaverashere.

Dale!

- Found one!

- Aquí!

- Another one.

- Coquí!

- Here!
- Got one!

- Me too!

[bell rings]

- Okay, Tomás found two,
I found three,

Kiko found one,
and Lorelei found?

- Two.

- So that's nine
total calaveras.

Great work, team.
Guardián, we have our answer.

Nine calaveras.

- Lo siento,Santiago.
That is wrong.

- But we found them all.
I'm sure of it.

- Ay no.We were so close
to getting the treasure.

- Coquí!

[soft dramatic music]

[upbeat music]

- There's still time, mateys.
Good pirates never give up.

- Coquí! Ooh!

Good idea, Kiko!
Let's count again.

♪ ♪

Uno, dos, tres, cuatro,

cinco, seis,

siete, ocho,

nueve...

diez!

[upbeat music]

Ten!
The answer is ten calaveras!

- Excelente!

Ay,you're almost out of time.

Here is the final puzzle.

- Capitán,you're special
because you're a great leader.

if any of those are right.

[bell rings]
Oh, no, time's running out.

What could it be?

[gasps]

What's special about me
is not me, but us.

I would never have been able
to solve all the puzzles today

without my mateys.

We are a team.

[upbeat music]

- Exactamente!

That's what makes you special.

You did it, Pirate Protectors!
I never had any doubts.

Are you ready
for your treasure?

[wondrous music]

- A medallion!

- I knew you could do it.

- Whoa, our headquarters
just got even cooler!

- And cuter.
[giggles]

[laughter]

[upbeat music]

- I wonder what other secrets
we'll find in our hideout.

- Me too.

You know, I think our
headquarters could use a name,

and you just gave me
a great idea, primo.

El Escondite,The Hideout.

- Cackling clams, I love it.

[guitar chord rings out]

- ♪ El Escondite,
El Escondite ♪

- Another awesome
pirate adventure, me hearties!

All: Piratasahoy!
- Coquí!

Fuera del mapa.

[upbeat suspenseful music]

♪ ♪

- Oh!
Coquí, coquí!

- Good thinking, Kiko.

We're playing Marco Polo
and Tomás is looking for us.

♪ ♪

- Marco?

both: Polo.

[both giggling]

- Hey, I heard that.

[grunts]

I can't see, but it
sounds like I made a mess.

- Estás bien,Tomás?

- There you are!
Got ya! I win!

[laughter]

- Bien hecho, primo.

♪ ♪

Hmm, this floorboard's loose.

- Whoa.
A secret hiding spot.

Gasping guppies!
What's that?

- It's a map of the islands.

Mira!
There's Isla Encanto!

- And there's Carico Cove.

- And there's a sea monster!

- I've never seen anything
like that on a map before.

- No te preocupes.
It's not real.

Mapmakers used to draw pictures
of sea monsters on their maps.

- Why would they do that?

- To mark places that
haven't been explored yet.

It's not even in
Capitán Calaveras' journal.

We should go explore it.
- Fantastic idea!

- Coquí!Ooh!

- Explore it?
But--but the sea monster!

- It's just a drawing, primo.

And besides,
we're brave Pirate Protectors.

[chuckles]
Exploring is what we do.

- [groans fretfully]

- I promise we'll be safe
and stick together.

- Okay.
If you say so.

- Let's go to where no pirate
has gone before.

both: Piratasahoy!
- Piratasahoy.

[dramatic music]

♪ ♪

- Coquí!
[giggles]

- I wonder what
we'll find out there.

- I bet there's
a magic waterfall.

- Or a treasure
of gold doubloons.

- What do you think, Tomás?

- I'm scared.

Not knowing what's out there
makes my tummy tumble.

- Maybe you should
play your guitar.

That always
makes you feel better.

- ♪ The gentle ocean breeze ♪

♪ Calms me down ♪

♪ And the clouds ♪

♪ Follow me around ♪

[energetic upbeat music]

♪ But what if there's a monster
lurking deep under the sea? ♪

♪ And what if a tidal wave
comes crashing over me? ♪

we save a whale? ♪

♪ Or make a brand new friend? ♪

- ♪ You'll never
know the treasures ♪

♪ That await you in the end ♪

- I never thought of it

all: ♪ We're setting sail ♪
- Yeah!

the rising sun ♪

♪ Where treasures undiscovered
wait for everyone ♪

♪ Don't be afraid of reaching

- Wow!
I can't wait to explore.

Let's see what's out there.

- Sparkling seashells!
That's the spirit.

- Coquí, coquí, coquí!

- Look!
We're here!

Which means the unexplored area
must be on the other side.

- Then let's get exploring.

A la aventura!

♪ ♪

[loud crash]
- Bumping barnacles!

We've hit land!

Or at least rocks.
[giggles]

- Well, shall we go ashore,
mateys?

- Last one there
is a salty sea dog!

[suspenseful music]

♪ ♪

- Hm. Those bubbles seem
particularly peculiar.

- Probably a whale
blowing off steam.

Vamos!

♪ ♪

- Qué interesante!

Must be some kind
of special rock.

- Coquí, coquí!

[rumbling]
Coquí, coquí?

- Did the ground just move?

- It sure felt like it did.
- That's new.

- Let's keep moving.

- Blimey, I can't see
anything through this fog.

- Espada brilla!

[wind whooshes]

- Allí!
Could that be?

- [gasps]
Giant rubies?

- Let's check it out!
Watch your step, mateys.

- They're beautiful.
And shiny.

- Let me get a closer look.

[tense music]
- Oh! a giant eyeball.

- This isn't land.
- Everyone, hang on tight!

all: Whoa!

[sea monster roars]

♪ ♪

- [chuckles]

[sea monster roars]

I told you there
was a sea monster!

He's going to eat us!

[energetic music]

- He doesn't want to eat us!
I bet we just surprised him.

I mean, we were
walking on his head.

- Lorelei, tell him
we're friendly pirates!

- [mermaid call]

[sea monster roars]

- He doesn't understand me!

- [gasps]
I have an idea.

We need to let go.

- Let go?
You're joking, right?

- We need to let go
and slide down the back

of the sea monster so I can
swing us to "El Bravo."

- What?
Think of another idea!

- We can do this, Tomás.

- Ready?
- Ready, Capitán.

- Set?
- I guess so!

- Go!
[sea monster roaring]

[all screaming]

♪ ♪

- I can't fly!

♪ ♪

- Hang on, mateys!

♪ ♪

[sea monster roars]

- I told you there would
be a sea monster here!

- You were right, Tomás.
Disculpa.

- I think I've had enough
exploring for one day.

Can we go home?
- Claro,Tomás. Let's go.

Bravo, adelante!

Huh?

- I think "El Bravo" is stuck
on something underwater.

I'll take a look.

[mermaid call]

Bursting bubbles!
A volcano!

Santiago, there's an
underwater volcano

and it's about to erupt.

- Caracoles!
An underwater volcano?

Let's get out of here!

- But the sea monster
is down there.

- We can't leave.

Tomás, you and Kiko
stay with the ship.

Lorelei and I will go
save that sea monster.

- Bubble of air
for Santiago to wear.

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

- Come on, Mr. Sea Monster.

We need to get you somewhere
safe away from the volcano.

Let's go.
[sea monster roars]

- Come on, let's go.

You can do it.

- We're going to
have to push him.

[soft upbeat music]

[both straining]

- He won't budge.

[both straining]

both: Whoa!

- The volcano is
about to erupt.

We're running out of time.

[rumbling]

- Go exploring, they said.
It'll be fun, they said.

- Coquí, coquí!
- Great idea!

Playing my guitarra
always makes me feel better.

[playing guitar]

[peaceful music playing]

both: Whoa!

[sea monster roars]

- Oh, no, the sea monster.

Stay calm, strum on.

[sea monster snorting]

[chuckles weakly]

We'll lead him away
from the volcano.

[gasps]

[water gurgling]

- It's going to blow.

- Wow. That's the
coolest thing I've ever seen.

- And you got to
see it because you

didn't let fear keep you away.

- Look at the lava.

It turns to rock
when it hits the water.

[sea monster purrs]

♪ ♪

all: Whoa!

- Did we just see
a new island being made?

- We've got to update
our map, mateys.

♪ ♪

Now that we've
explored the unknown,

we can share our findings
with everyone.

- Happy you joined us, Tomás?

- Well, we met
a real sea monster,

watched a volcano erupt, and
discovered a brand new island.

I guess you never know what
amazing things you'll find

unless you go out and explore.
