MAYA, VOICE-OVER:
You might not know it, but
we make lots of decisions

every day.

Most of them are small,
like picking out what we're

going to wear.

¡Decisiones!
¡Decisiones!

Ay-yi-yi.

What to have
for breakfast.

Mmmm...eggs!

Eggs would be good.

No, wait, pancakes!

OK, pan--

No, I had pancakes
yesterday. Eggs!

Oh, but I really like
pancakes...

[Sighs]

Maya, make
a decision!

Apurate
y decide.

Tails for eggs,
heads for pancakes.

Eggs it is!

¡Huevos! ¡Me gustan
los huevos!

MAYA, VOICE-OVER:
Most of these decisions
don't take much thought,

but every once in a while,
along comes a doozy.

MAN ON RADIO: We're gonna have
some beautiful weather
this weekend.

I know you all want
to get outside and do
some fun activities.

And speaking of that, folks,

it's time
to give away some tickets
to the extreme sports fest

which is totally
sold out.

The listener who can answer
this question will win

four tickets.

Who is the reigning
extreme biking champion,

three years running?

Eddie Wolf!

Eddie Wolf!

Boo-yeah!

Maybe you should try
calling in with the answer.

The phone!

The phone!

¡¿Dónde está
el teléfono?!

We're still looking
for caller 29.

Nope. Sorry.
You're caller number 6.

Where is
that telephone?

PACO: ¡El teléfono!

DJ: Nope. Caller number 12.

PACO: ¿Dónde está
el teléfono?

DJ: Thanks,
but you're caller 18.

No telephone here.

DJ: Keep trying,
sports fans.

We're still looking
for caller 29...

Yes. I'll need
two extra orders...

The telephone!
The telephone!

Papi!

Papi!

Hmm?

Sorry, papi!

Sorry, papi!

[Busy tone]

It's busy!

Redial!
Redial!

[Ringing]

DJ: Those tickets
are still available.

Here we go. Yeah.

OK, we have caller 29
on the line.

What's your name--

Eddie Wolf!

Oh, I mean, my name's Maya
and the answer

to the trivia question
is Eddie Wolf.

We have our winner!

Yeah!

Yeah!

I hope you take some friends.

And now back to extreme
sports mania right here
on KSPTS, K-Sports radio.

Yeah!

Yeah!

We're winners!

¡Ganaste!
You're winners!

Eddie Wolf,
Eddie Wolf!

Who is Eddie Wolf?

Sheesh!

It's going to be awesome!

MAYA: I can't wait
to see Eddie Wolf go off
the super-ramp!

Eddie Wolf's
the greatest!

Maybe you'll
get to meet him!

MAYA: Maybe we'll all
get to meet him!

Maya...we only have two
extra tickets, not four.

Euggh!

We're going to have to pick
one friend each to come.

Uh...
[Laughs nervously]

We'll decide
later.

Gracias, mijos.

You were a great help
cleaning up today.

De nada, Abuelita.

What are we
going to do?

How do we decide
who to bring to the
extreme sports fest?

Pick me!
Pick me!

Um, I don't know yet.

We have a week.
We'll figure it out.

Hey. Abuela,
what's this?

Que sorpresa.

I haven't seen this
in ages.

You were an athlete?

Oh, it was a long time ago,
but I used to love to run.

I was pretty good, too.

MIGUEL: It looks like
you were a winner!

I remember
that race.

The city
championships.

MIGUEL: Wow! You
used to be a runner.

Sí. I was something
else back then.

I used to win
everything!

I felt so free and
happy when I ran.

You know, I could still
cover those 100 yards

pretty fast.

I bet you could.

Wow, you really were
a winner, Abuelita.

¡Abuela es una ganadora!

¡Las medallas de Abuela!

How long ago was this?

A long time ago.

Hace mucho tiempo.

But remember,
you're only as old
as you feel.

And I don't feel
old.

¡Las medallas de Paco!

[Laughing]

Hi, señora Elena.

Would you like some
help across the street?

No, thank you.
I'll be fine.

I already have
an escort.

[Squawk]

Buenas
tardes, señora.

You'll be happy to hear that
because we're celebrating

our 25th year in business,
you'll receive our

super-ultra-senior
discount today.

Super-ultra-senior discount?
I don't think so.

Who's he calling a senior?

How was school today?

Excelente.

News about
our tickets is all
over the school.

Yeah, we're like
celebrities.

Who are you going
to take with you?

We don't know yet.

We still have
a few days.

Do you think that maybe
your friends are trying

to influence your decision?

No creo.

Pick me! Pick me!

Make sure you
decide carefully.

Somebody's feelings
could get hurt.

We'll figure
this out, right?

Sure, we will.

PACO: Sure we will!
Yum! Awk!

Hey!

¡Abuelita!
¡Abuelita!

No soy vieja.

Remember, Paco, you're only
as old as you feel.

And I don't feel it!

WOMAN ON TV: Sunny this
afternoon with a high of 85.

SECOND WOMAN:
Add all your ingredients
to a large mixing bowl--

Calling all
grandmas and grandpas.

Here's a chance to show off
your athletic talents.

Come on out
and compete next weekend
in the community center's

Silver Games.

So have you
and Maya decided who
you're going to take

to the extreme
sports fest?

Um, no, not yet.

How about some pudding
for my best friend?

Oh...no, thanks.

I already have some.

OK. I just know how
much you like pudding.

Remember
when we were walking

and you slipped
on that banana peel...

Whoa!

THEO: Boy, that pudding
went flying...

Remember that
I made sure that you had

replacement pudding.

Theo was the man!

[Both laugh]

Just in case
you're still hungry.

Anything
for my buddy.

[Laughs nervously]

I'm sure you'll come up
with a fair way

to pick who goes with you.

Oh, yeah, right.
I'm sure.

Remember this sweater?

We were packing up
to go home,

and your books nearly exploded
out of your locker.

And when you bent down to
pick them up...

[Rip]

Well, you know
what happened.

[Gasp]
My pants!
They ripped!

Chrissy to the rescue!

Gracias.

Phew!

Anything for my friend.

I know you'd do
the same for me.

See you tomorrow...
amiga!

See you.

Hey, ¿qué pasa?

Everyone's been acting
sort of strange.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

Chrissy just reminded me
of the time she saved me

with her sweater.

Andy just did
the same thing.

Out of nowhere
he started talking
about the time

we were playing
dodgeball...

and he blocked
a ball coming
straight at my head.

And Maggie reminded me
of the really windy day

when I lost my homework...
and she helped me catch it.

Why do they feel like
they have to remind us

that they're
our good friends?

Ah! The tickets!

Mamá was right. And
it's not just them.

Kids I don't even know
have been doing

really nice things
for me.

Yeah, me, too!

Hi, guys.
Remember me?

We were in class together
a few years ago.

Sorry. Don't
remember you.

That's OK. I'm
not so memorable.

You need some help
carrying your books?

Ugh!

Ugh!

Ugh!

No, thanks.
We're fine.

It's no problem.

Really.
No, thank you.

Run!

Excuse me.

Sorry.

Hi, guys.

Aah!

[Breathing hard]

Aah!

Aah!

Do you have any idea
who that kid was?

Yes. Someone who
wanted our tickets.

We have to decide who's
going with us...quickly!

But we should only choose
from our very best friends--

Theo, Andy, Maggie,
and Chrissy.

¡Eso es!

We'll have a contest
so each of our friends

has the same chance
to win a ticket.

¡Paco quiere
ganar el concurso!

¡Un concurso!
¡Bueno!

With a contest,
we really don't
have to decide.

Hola, mijos. I have
some exciting news.

I'm going to compete in
the community center's

Silver Games.

The 100-yard dash!

Running used to make me
so happy, and I always say,

you should do what
makes you happy.

But I need some help
to get into shape.

Wow, Abuela.
That's great.

You're gonna be
awesome!

¡Nosotros te ayudamos!

Yeah, we'll
help you!

Muchas gracias,
mijitos.

[Snoring]

[Doorbell ringing]

MAYA AND MIGUEL:
Abuela, wake up!
Wake up!

Abuela! Wake up!

[Yawns]

You ready to sweat,
Abuelita?

"The Abuelanator!"

The Abuelanator! Awk!

[Giggles]

MAYA: Come on!
Hup, hup, hup, hup!

Let's go, let's go!

MIGUEL:
Let's go, Abuela!

[Breathing hard]

Oh, no.

[Coughing]

PACO: She's tiring
me out. Awk!

Too fast! Too fast!

Oh, no!

Aha!

Awesome!

Cool!

MAYA: Abuela, wait up!
You're way too fast!

¿Un concurso?

What kind
of contest?

The two winners will
get our extra tickets.

What are we going to do?

We need a couple days
to figure that out.

Ciento seis,
ciento siete,

ciento ocho,
ciento nueve,

ciento diez,
ciento once--

Buenas tardes,
angelitos.

Uh...to Abuela and
the Silver Games.

To Abuela,
our winner.

Salud.

[Gulp]

Ehhh.

Ahhh!

I have the best trainers
an athlete could ask for.

I can't wait until Saturday.

Uh...

Uh...

¿El sábado?
That's the day of...

The extreme
sports fest.

What are we
going to do, Maya?

[Both sigh]

PACO: Decisiones,
decisiones.

Ugh!

Ugh!

PACO: Oh, no.
Decisiones, decisiones.

Extreme sports fest
or Silver Games!

¡Qué lástima!

Uh-oh! Rawk!

They're both on Saturday.

And we really
want to go to

the extreme
sports fest.

But we don't want to hurt
Abuelita's feelings.

¿Qué hacemos?

Making tough decisions
is not easy,

but it's part
of growing up.

The decision should
come from your heart.

If you really think about it,
the right choice

will be clear.

Remember, it should
come from your heart!

Let's flip a coin.

Good idea.

Heads, the
extreme sports fest;
tails, the Silver Games.

Uh...maybe we should
try two out of three.

[Snoring]

Oops. Sorry, papi.

Enough, Miguel.

We have to figure
out something else.

Rock, paper,
scissors?

No! We have to
make the decision
ourselves.

But how?

You know, Abuelita
said, "You should do

what makes you
happy."

And going to
the extreme sports fest

would make us
really happy.

Great, so we've made
our decision.

So, um...you're gonna
tell Abuelita, right?

Me? Forget it, Maya.
It's "we."

we are going to tell her.

OK. We'll tell her.

Right after we find
out who the winners
of our contest are

for the two
extra tickets.

It's contest time.

Today, the four of you will
be tested to your limits.

Miguel and I have created
an obstacle course.

The two contestants
with the fastest time
will win

the tickets to the
extreme sports fest.

Some parts of this contest
are a little...

Unusual.

Huh?

Huh?

Huh?

And the contestant
who ends up the...messiest

gets five seconds
off their time.

Are you ready?

Good luck.

PACO: ¡Buena suerte!

Yeah, that's it!
Go, go, go!

Rawk! Sheesh!

Ick!

THEO: Oh, man!

OK. After a final tally
of the scores,

we would like
to announce the winners

of the tickets to the
extreme sports fest.

The winners are...

um...

um, ah, un...

uh...

Spit it out!

[In unison]
Andy and Chrissy!

Oh, yeah,
I'm the man!

[Sigh]

[Sigh]

Hola, mijitos.
The big day is tomorrow.

Hasta mañana.

ABUELA: You're not going
to come and see me at
the Silver Games?

Lo siento, Abuelita.

Yeah. We're sorry.

We wish we could
go to both.

Está bien.
Yo entiendo.

I know that
you'll be with me
in spirit.

You should do what
makes you happy.

I'm so grateful to both
of you for all of your help

with my training.

I couldn't have done
it without you.

You're going to win,
I just know it.

I feel like I could
outrun a cheetah.

[Cheetah growl]

You think Eddie Wolf
will win again
this year?

Por supuesto, es lo máximo.

Mamá and I will be
back to pick you up

after we watch
Abuela's race.

Ah.

Ah.

Remember the first day
we trained Abuela?

When she jogged down this
street, she had to stop

every couple of minutes.

Yeah, but now we can
barely keep up with her.

Even on our bikes.

P.A. ANNOUNCER: Welcome, ladies
and gentlemen, boys and girls,

to the most exciting
sporting event in the country!

I can't believe
we're here!

P.A. ANNOUNCER: And now,
a round of applause

for our athletes!

Yeah!

Yeah!

[Crowd cheering]

Look, Miguel! It's...

Abuelita!

Abuelita!

¡Hello, niños!

That's
my abuelita!

Ahem!

Our abuelita.

I'm really glad
we decided to
come see her.

And I bet Theo
and Maggie are happy
to have our tickets

to the extreme
sports fest.

P.A. ANNOUNCER: And now
a special surprise guest

to light the opening torch.

Radical!

¡Es él! It's him!

Who is it?

That's
Eddie Wolf!

Go, Eddie Wolf!

Yeah!

Yeah!
Woo!

Go, Eddie Wolf!

[Cheering]

On your mark,
get set, go!

Go, Abuelita!

You can do it!

Go, go, go!

Go, Abuelita!

Abuelita, you
were amazing!

¡Qué rápida eres!

You ran like
a cheetah!

Gracias, gracias.

It was such fun.

Hey, great race,
señora Elena.

Thank you, Eddie.

Your stunt was
pretty good, too.

I'd like you to meet
my grandchildren.

This is Maya and Miguel.

Mijitos, this is...

Eddie Wolf!

Eddie Wolf!

Eddie is here to watch
his grandfather compete.

Yeah, I wouldn't miss
this for the world.

Neither
would we.

I got to get going over to
the extreme sports fest.

Hey, why don't you all join
me and watch from my box?

We'd love to join you.

MAYA, VOICE-OVER: As it turned
out, everybody was a winner:

Andy, Theo, Maggie, and Chrissy
loved the extreme sports fest.

And Paco really took it
to the extreme.

PACO: Don't worry.
I'm OK. Radical.

Mamá was right.

It's easy to make
the right decision

when it comes
from the heart.
