Brad: ♪ Every single boy and girl ♪

Yadina: ♪ Has what it takes ♪

Kids: ♪ To change the world! ♪

Brad: (grunting)

Hello! Welcome to the...

...sho-ooah-OOF! Xavier: Oof!

Xavier: Hi there!

Brad: Ahem. Today we're going to meet an amazing person:

Zora Neale Hurston.

Xavier: Zora was a writer

who told fantastic stories about where she lived--

Yadina: And the people she met!

Xavier: How was Zora able to tell so many amazing stories?

Brad: Let's start the show and find out!

Brad: There. It's...

Xavier/Yadina: Done?!

Brad: Woo! (sighs)

Brad: How long have you guys been there?!

Xavier: Awhile.

We're just so excited for your new comic book story.

Yadina: Dr. Zoom is practically bursting.

Will you read it to us?

Brad: I don't know...

It's, um, different than my usual stories.

Yadina: Oooo, is it about a superhero

who magically makes pudding appear?

Xavier: Or an evil villain who magically

makes pudding disappear...

Yadina: (gasps) Never!

Brad: Um, not exactly.

This story is about...

me.

Xavier: About you? I really want to hear that!

Yadina: Can we please please please please please hear it?

Brad: I'm not sure I can share this story with anyone.

Who wants to hear the story of me anyway?

Maybe I'll just get rid of it.

Yadina: What?

Xavier: No way!

Yadina: This just became a Secret Museum problem.

The world needs the story of Brad!

Brad: Um... (deep breath)

Okay... let's do it.

Yadina: Yes! Xavier: To the Secret Museum!

(upbeat adventurous music) ♪♪

♪♪

Xavier: I wonder who the Secret Museum will send us to meet?

Woohoo!

Yadina: Or how far back in time we'll goooo!

Brad: I'm going to find some stairs- Whoaaaaa!

Xavier: Woohoo Yadina: Look out below!

Xavier: Hi, Berby! Yadina: Hi, Berby!

Berby: Hello. Brad: Hi, Berby!

Berby: (brrs) Brad: Ooof!

Berby: Wooo! Xavier: (humming)

Xavier: We're getting something!

Yadina: Um. What is that?

Xavier: Ah...corn on the cob?

But, without the corn.

Brad: It almost looks like a doll.

Xavier: Look! "Zora Neale Hurston".

This must have been hers.

Berby: Hmm!

Yadina: And we're going to meet her in Florida.

That's in the United States.

Brad: In the year .

Over years ago!

Yadina: I'm not sure how an empty corn husk is going to help

Brad feel okay about sharing his story.

Berby: (bleep)

Xavier: Only one way to find out!

Ready for adventure?

Yadina: Ready!

Brad: (deep breath)

Ready.

Berby: (bleep blarp bloop)

Yadina: Here we go!

Berby: (computing noises)

Xavier: It's happening! Yadina: Hang on Dr Zoom!

Xavier: Whoohoo! Brad: Woah!

Berby: Whoohoo!

Brad: Florida in was all about the corn.

Berby: Doo doo doo doo...

Xavier: (sigh) Yadina: (sigh)

Yadina: I like it.

It feels cozy, huh Dr. Zoom?

Brad: Wuh-oh. Xavier: Woooaaah!

Yadina: (laughing)

Berby: (computing noises)

Brad: This trip mighta been a bad idea.

Maybe we should just go home and forget all about my story.

Berby: (computing noises)

Xavier: No way, Brad. Check it out!

Maybe Zora's in there.

Old Man: Well one time...

I caught a shark as big as this whole store!

Yadina: There's Zora Neale Hurston.

Young Man: I'll believe that 'ol shark story

when I believe it snows in Florida.

Old Man: Oh! It did!

Buried my grandpa up to his hat.

Young Man: You don't say? Zora: (laughing)

Young Man: Zora? Is that another bag of sugar?

Zora: Oh, ah... yeah.

Old Man: She must be making one sweet cake.

Oh! One time I had a cake so sweet...

Zora: Oh! Hello, there. Sugar?

Yadina: (laughing) We don't need it-

Xavier: Don't you?

Zora: Naw, I just needed an excuse to go back to the store.

Brad: Really? Why?

Zora: I love hearing people share stories.

(laughs)

Yadina: They were having fun.

Zora: That's because stories are best

when you share them with others.

They make everyone feel good.

I even have a few of my own...

Xavier: Can you tell us one?

Zora: I'd love to!

Zora: See that lemon tree right there?

Zora: One time, Mr. Sweet Smell and I

had to climb it to hide... from crocodiles.

Brad: Ahh!

Yadina: Crocodiles? Xavier: Crocodiles?

Yadina: What happened?

Zora: Well... while we were hiding,

a giant bird with a long, colorful tail suddenly

flew down onto the branch, right beside us.

And, since we were hungry, it shared its worms with us.

Xavier: Soo cool!

Zora: Isn't that nice?

Brad: I think you mean: isn't that ew?

Zora: (giggles)

Zora: And then the bird told us a funny story.

We laughed so hard

that Mr. Sweet Smell fell out of the tree!

Zora: He bonked right into Mr. So and So,

who went off to work and we shouted,

"Mr. So and So!

Watch out for the crocodiles!"

Yadina: Crocodiles. (laughing)

Uh, there aren't any around now...

are there?

Zora: No, don't worry.

Some parts of that story I made up.

Brad: Phew! Xavier: Ooh!

Xavier: Like Mr. Sweet Smell?

Zora: Oh no - he's very real.

He lives at my house. Want to meet him?

Yadina: Sure. Xavier: Of course.

Zora: Then follow me!

Zora: May I introduce: Mr. Sweet Smell.

Brad: A bar of soap?

Xavier: Wrapped in twine?

Yadina: I don't get it.

Zora: This is no ordinary bar of soap!

This happens to be the love of Miss Corn Chuck's life.

Xavier: Hey! That's just like the artifact

from the Secret Museum.

Zora: Miss Corn Shuck and Mr. Sweet Smell

are always trying to get married,

but one of the guests keeps on sneezing so much

they can never get through the ceremony!

Ah-Ah-Choo! Ah-Ah-Choo!

Ah-Ah-Choo! (giggling)

Yadina: Zora's stories might be as good as yours, Brad!

Zora: You tell stories?

Brad: Sort of.

I draw stories, in comic books.

Xavier: And it's totally awesome!

Zora: Great! I hope you're sharing them.

Brad: Well... Maybe not all of them?

Zora: (gasp) But there's nothing worse

than a story stuck inside you!

Stories are always best

when you share them with others.

Brad: But isn't it hard to share stories sometimes?

Especially if they're about you?

Zora: Those are the best kind of stories!

Did I tell you the one about how Miss Corn Shuck and I met?

Zora: Well! There I was, playing alone in my room,

as I do sometimes,

when I heard a little voice rustling.

Calling me over.

Zora: It was Miss Corn Shuck!

Only, she was missing some hair.

So, I took care of that.

Zora: It was the first friend I made.

And we went on lots of adventures together.

Exploring caves,

walking on water to say 'hello' to the fish...

We even came face to face with the Alligator King himself!

Yadina: The alligator King?

Brad: Really? And then what?

Yadina: We want to hear more, right Dr. Zoom?

Dr. Zoom agrees.

Brad: Yeah, it feels really good to hear stories.

Zora: Feels good to share them, too.

Brad: Because stories are best when you share them with others.

Brad: Okay. I'm ready to share my story.

Zora: Really? Yes!

Brad: There's just a few changes I want to make first.

So...

Xavier: Time to go home?

Yadina: We'll have to hear more about

Zora and Miss Corn Shuck later, Dr. Zoom.

Yadina: Bye! Xavier: Bye!

Brad: Thank you for sharing your stories!

Zora: Anytime! Thanks for coming!

Brad: Berby, let's go home.

Berby: Okay! Ding, ding, ding! Wooo!

Brad: This is the story

about how I got my cape.

Brad: One night, when I was a little baby,

I woke up cold and shivering.

Brad: I hoped that morning would come soon

and bring the warm sun.

But suddenly, there it was...

Brad: Some kind of magical cape.

It must have blown in through the window.

Brad: There was only one explanation:

it was a gift from the moon.

Yadina: Wow. Xavier: So cool.

Brad: As I grew, I learned it had powers.

But it got supercharged

the day I met my two best friends!

Brad: With them, every day is full of adventure

and anything is possible.

Xavier: Brad... it's- it's...

Yadina: We love it.

(laughing)

Brad: Meeting Zora Neale Hurston was super great.

Yadina: When she grew up, she wrote all kinds of stories.

Xavier: Sharing them with people all around the world!

Brad: Thanks for joining our awesome adventure to meet

Zora Neale Hurston.

Xavier: Who used to be a kid, just like you and me.

Yadina: So kids like you can change the world!

I am Yadina.

Xavier: I am Xavier.

Brad: I am Brad.

And I know stories are best when you share them with others.

Just like Zora Neale Hurston.

Woo hoo! Doo, doo, doo, doo!

Berby: (computing sounds)

(panting)

(ding)

Berby: (computing sounds)

Yay!

Xavier: Berby? You ready for another race around the world!?

Berby: (computing sounds) Xavier: Good!

Cause I'm about to fly in the very first airplane!

Berby: Woo woo! Xavier: Amazing fact:

This puppy was built by the Wright Brothers

way back in .

It may be over a hundred years old but,

I'm still going to fly right past you to the finish line.

Berby: (computing noise)

Xavier: Oh, I'm ready! Real ready.

(Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding ding!)

Woohoo!

I'm flying!

Eck! Pttuie!

And that's why planes today have windshields.

(gasps)

Another amazing fact I totally forgot.

That first airplane ride only lasted seconds.

(struggling)

Berby: (giggling)

(deep breathing)

(phew!)

Lets update the scoreboard.

(ding!) Huh.

Guess I'm a smidge behind.

But, I'll get you next time Berby.

Because I never give up. Berby: (beeping noises)

Xavier: Hi! And welcome to the show!

Yadina: Today we're meeting someone

with a great imagination: Charles Dickens!

Brad: Charles Dickens was an author

who wrote stories for people to read.

Kids: Wooah! Woah!

Xavier: Like those ones!

Yadina: They look like a mountain.

Brad: Or a volcano.

Xavier: Uh oh- with hot lava... Look out!

Yadina: Ah! Brad: Whoa!

(laughing) Xavier: Woaah!

(laughing)

Yadina: Isn't it fun to use your imagination?

Brad: Yes, but, I think it's time to start the shoow!

Oof!

Yadina: (sigh) There's nothing to do, Dr. Zoom.

It's been raining for three days!

Yadina: And we've played with all our stuff.

All of it!

Any ideas for something fun to do?

(sigh) Me, neither.

Xavier: (grunts) Push!

Brad: I'm pushing! It's heaaavy!

Xavier: Errg! Brad: Woaah! Oof!

Yadina: (gasps) A box! Is it full of fun stuff to do?

Toys? Games?

Toys, toys and games?

Xavier: Ah, no. It's for a museum exhibit.

Yadina: Oh. Wait, is it a toy exhibit?

Is it? Is it? Huh, is it?

Xavier: It is not.

Xavier: But it does have...bubble wrap!

Brad: Yes! I love bubble wrap!

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

Yadina: Dr. Zoom and I are bored-

we've done everything already.

We need to find something new and fun to do!

Xavier: Hmm. Sounds like a problem.

And that means...

Yadina: To the secret museum!

Brad: But, guys... bubble wrap! Guys?!

I'm coming.

(pop!) (laughing)

Xavier: I wonder who the Secret Museum will send us to meet?

Yadina: And where we'll go?

Brad: And when?

(clock ringing) Brad: (gasps)

Yadina: Look out below! Xavier: Woo hoo!

Xavier: Hi, Berby! Yadina: Hi, Berby!

Berby: Hello. Brad: Hi, Berby!

Berby: Hi, Brad. Brad: Oof!

Berby: Woo hoo! Xavier: (hums)

We're getting something!

What is it?

Yadina: Paint?

Xavier: Or maybe ink?

Brad: Painting is fun. You should do that!

Yadina: Did it. And have the splatter marks to prove it.

Xavier: Look! Charles Dickens.

That's who we're meeting.

Yadina: In England.

Brad: In the year ...

over years ago!

Yadina: I wonder if he'll have any ideas for fun stuff to do.

Xavier: Only one way to find out...

Ready for adventure?

Yadina: Ready!

Brad: Um...ready-ish.

Berby: (beeping noises)

Yadina: Here we go!

Brad: It's happening! Yadina: Hang on Dr Zoom!

Xavier: Woohoo! Brad: Whooaa!

Berby: (laughing)

Yadina: So this is England in .

Pretty!

Xavier: Smells nice, too.

Brad: And sounds nice!

Clippity-cloppity, clippity-cloppity...

Yadina: Ah, Brad?

Brad: Horses!

(neigh!) Brad: (gasps) Horses!

Do you think Charles Dickens is in there?

Brad: Is Charles Dickens a prince?

Xavier: Guess not. Berby: Uh uh.

Berby: Hm?

Brad: Hey- there he is! Charles Dickens!

Dickens: Wasn't that great?

A Prince!

Yadina: (gasps) Do you know him?

Can we go to his castle?

I bet he has lots of toys in there.

We're looking for something fun to do.

Dickens: Oh sure, I know the Prince!

Together we sailed the world in search of lost treasure...

Kids: Really?

Dickens: Well... not really.

But I imagined we did.

Your imagination makes everything more fun.

Dickens: Want to go for a walk?

Xavier: Let's Go! Brad: Sure.

Dickens: Look at the white flowers.

If you use your imagination,

it feels like you're walking through the clouds.

Dickens: Ah! Brad: Clouds?

Dickens: Use these- they'll keep you up!

Ah! Brad: Ooo!

Dickens: Ooo! Ahh!

Brad: Waaahoooo! We're flying!

(laughter)

Dickens: Oh, c'mon! We can hop across on the rocks.

Dickens: But... watch out for sharks!

Brad: (gasps) Yadina: Sharks?

Dickens: There aren't any real ones in this river-

Brad: (exhales)

Dickens- but I like to imagine there are.

Using your imagination makes everything more fun!

Over there! Watch Out!

Xavier: Oh no! River Shaaaark!

Woah!

Yadina: Woah!

Yadina: Ah, Brad? Whatcha doing?

Brad: Putting on a shark-proof suit

and shark repellent.

Yadina: Good idea!

(giggles)

Yadina: Look out, sharks - here we come!

Brad: River Shaaaarks! Yikes!

Ahh!

(laughter) Yadina: River shark!

Yadina: Okay Dr Zoom, this may be a little fun.

Where to next, Charles Dickens?

Dickens: Let's just say I hope you like octopuses.

(laughs)

Yadina: Hear that, Dr. Zoom?

Oh this will be fun!

Brad: Um, I'm not sure playing with an octopus is a good idea.

...Guys?

Dickens: Here we are!

Yadina: Um, where's the fun stuff?

The octopus?

Dickens: Oh, just you wait...

Brad: Hey, that's like the paint we saw at the Secret Museum!

Dickens: Actually, it's ink. I write with it.

Dickens: See? My two favorite letters.

Brad: I like those ones, too.

O and S are so smooth and curvy!

Yadina: I guess so...

Dickens: And when you add some imagination,

they can be so much more!

Xavier: What's that?

Dickens: I turned the letters into an octopus- named Fanny!

Yadina: Oh That's the octopus you were talking about?

Dickens: Use your imagination.

Your imagination makes everything more fun.

Yadina: Well, I guess using my imagination

did make the walk more fun.

(sniffs) So...

Hello Fanny.

Yadina: Whoa.

Xavier/Brad: Whoa.

Yadina: Wow. Dr. Zoom. This is amazing!

(laughs) Yadina: Hello, Fanny.

Nice to meet you.

Dickens: Don't forget the rest of Fanny's sea friends.

Yadina: Woah.

(gasps) Look! Sharks!

Brad: Woah!

Good thing I brought my suit.

Xavier: Charles Dickens doesn't have a whole lot of stuff

to play with, but he sure has a good imagination!

Brad: A good, fun imagination.

Here I come, sharks!

Woo hoo! Yeah! Alright!

Yadina: Weee! (giggles)

(squeek) Yeah.

So, maybe we don't need more toys to play with.

We just can use our imaginations

to make whatever we have more fun!

Xavier: Totally.

Brad: Um...

this suit is not as octopus-proof as I hoped.

(giggles)

Yadina: Okay, I'm ready, let's go home.

Yadina: Thanks for inviting us over, Charles Dickens.

This was super fun.

Dickens: You're welcome! Come back any time.

Yadina: Bye! Thank you. Xavier: Thanks Charles!

Xavier: Berby, let's go home.

Berby: (bleep blarp bloop)

Yadina: Thanks, guys.

Time to find

something fun to do!

Aha!

Hmm... We just need these...

Brad: And these! Yadina: And our imagination!

Brad: (humming)

Yadina: 'Tis I, President Yadina!

Brad: Wait.

Don't castles have Kings and Queens?

Not presidents? Yadina: Some.

This one has a president And a Vice President.

But we still need a knight and a dragon!

(fanfare) ♪

(stomp!) Brad: (gasps)

Aaaagh!

(hissing)

Xavier: I'm going to blow the castle away

with my fiery breath!

Yadina: Oh!

Brad: Not with Brave Knight Brad around!

I'll stop you with my...

my, um...

Yadina: Bubble wrap!

Brad: Yes! Bubble wrap!

Yadina: Save our kingdom, oh Brave Knight!

Brad: I will your majesty!

Um... I mean, Madam President.

Yadina: Alright!

(deep breath)

Brad: I'm popping this bubble wrap like crazy.

Xavier: (gasps) Noooooo!

Not bubble wrap!

(popping) It's so... POPPY!

Brad: Take that dragon pop pop pop!

Yadina: Bravo! Bravo!

Yadina: Dr. Zoom and I

loved meeting Charles Dickens.

And his imagination.

Xavier: When Charles grew up,

he used his imagination to write great stories.

Brad: Stories that lots of people still love today!

Yadina: Thanks for joining our awesome adventure

to meet Charles Dickens.

Xavier: Who used to be a kid, just like you and me.

Whoa. Haha! I am Brad.
