Brad: Um.hello. Welcome to the whaa.show!

Xavier: Today we're meeting Ibn Battuta,

a Muslim explorer from The Marinid Sultanate,

which is now called Morocco.

He loved to travel and visit new places.

Brad: Xavier, Yadina, can I get down now?

Yadina: In a minute, Brad.

Ahem.

Ibn Battuta was born over years ago.

Xavier: That's way before planes, trains,

or even cars were invented.

(sputtering engine) Brad: Uh oh.

Yadina: So visiting new places wasn't easy,

but that didn't stop Ibn Battuta from travelling all over!

Brad: Ibn Battuta found visiting new places

and seeing new things super inspiring.

Which means it gave him all sorts of new and creative ideas!

Xavier: Speaking of ideas, I've got one now!

Brad: And then he.

um, ah.uh!

Xavier: Brad! How excited are you?

Only one more sleep till the World Fair!

Yadina: I can't believe we've never been before, Dr. Zoom.

We're going to see SO many new things!

Xavier: From all over the world!

Uh, Brad?

Yadina: Helllllo?

We're talking exciting World Fair trip here.

Brad: Oh, ah, actually, I'm not going.

Xavier: Not going? Yadina: Why?

Brad: Because I'm writing a brand new Bikeman story!

Yadina: What's it about?

Does Bikeman battle an evil ice cream hoarding villain?

Xavier: Or save an entire circus from certain doom?

Brad: Nah, he's already done that.

I want to write something totally new.

That's why I'm not going to the World Fair.

I'm going to sit right here until inspiration strikes!

Any second now a cool idea will pop into my head.

Xavier/Yadina: To the Secret Museum!!

Brad: But, but guys--

Xavier: Sorry, Brad - but waiting for inspiration,

not working.

Yadina: We need to hurry this up

so we can all go to the World Fair. C'mon!

Xavier: I wonder who the Secret Museum will send us to meet?

Yadina: And where we'll go?

Yadina: Watch out below! Xavier: Wooohooo!

Xavier/Yadina: Hi Berby! Berby: (bleep blarp)

Xavier: Oh, right, right!

Ibn: These are wonderful. Who drew these amazing pictures?

Brad: Ooh, that's my, um, comic book.

I haven't finished this story yet.

It's like nothing I've ever seen before.

This is exactly why I love coming to this market.

It's full of new things, from all different countries.

Xavier: Really? Ibn: Here, I'll show you.

Yadina: It's the map, from the Secret Museum!

Ibn: We are here, in Morocco.

Ships from all over come here to sell and trade different things

from their own home countries.

So many new sights and smells!

It's like getting to visit many new places, all at once!

And visiting new places can be inspiring.

Yadina/Xavier: (inhaling deeply) Ahh!

Ibn: It inspires me to some day discover what else is out there.

Xavier: Amazing! Yadina: Cooool.

Xavier: Hey Brad! Maybe this market

will inspire your brand new story.

Camel: (grunting) Brad: Huh?

Uh, yeah, right behind you!

Xavier: Uh, Brad?

Brad: Just waiting for something to inspire my brand new story.

Camel: (loud grunt) Brad: Uhm, hi.

(clears throat) Just gonna go.

Camel: (loud grunt)

Xavier/Yadina: Wow! Yadina: Look at all this!

It's so colourful!

Men: Huh?

♪ (moroccan music) ♪

Xavier: Huh?

Phew!

Yadina: What's this, Ibn Battuta?

Ibn: Halva! A delicious dessert

that comes in tons of colors and flavors.

Date and Almond.

Pistachio and Honey.

And my favorite.sesame.

Xavier: How come they're all so different?

Ibn: Just like how you're visiting a new place now,

people travel all around the world and try new things.

So some people saw how halva was made in one place,

and when they got home, they tried it themselves

with their own ingredients.

Xavier: Huh, Then if someone traveled to that country,

it could inspire them to make halva in a whole new way!

Ibn: Exactly!

Like I said: visiting new places can be inspiring.

Xavier: MmmmmHmmmmm!

Yadina: And delicious!

Yummmmmmmyyy!

Hey, Brad, you gotta try this!

Brad: No time for samples, Yadina.

Inspiration is about to strike.

The fabled hero who wanders the world,

learning new things and helping people wherever she goes!

Xavier/Yadina: Cooooool!

Brad: Luckily, Wander Woman met the dragon

at an Egyptian festival just last week!

She knew he couldn't resist their almond and honey halva.

Xavier/Yadina: (giggle)

Yadina: What happens next?

Brad: Sorry, guys. You'll have to wait.

Yadina: Wait? Xavier: Until when?

Brad: Until after the World Fair!

Xavier: You mean.?

Yadina: You're coming?

Brad: Of course.

Who knows what it will inspire me to write?

Xavier: Brad! Yadina: Wait for us!

Yadina: I hope there'll be halva.

Brad: Meeting Ibn Battuta was so.

Xavier: When he grew up, he became one of the greatest

travelers of all time.

Yadina: He spent almost years

visiting different countries,

meeting new people and experiencing new cultures.

Brad: Ibn Battuta was so inspired,

that he wrote a whole book about his travels.

Xavier: I wonder how many different flavors of halva

he got to try?

Brad: Maybe a little too much Halva.

Yadina: Halva!

Brad: An inventor is someone who thinks up new ideas-

for things that never existed before.

Yadina: Like this idea I had for a walking sandwich maker!

Hit it, Judith.

Xavier: Huh? Brad: Judith?

Xavier: Eew, cheese and grape jelly?

Brad: Does Judith make anything else, by any chance?

Yadina: (crunch) Nope.

Xavier: Well, Beulah's inventions were useful

for a few more people.

Like a clock that helps kids tell time.

Brad: Or a swan you can ride in!

Yadina: Or a doll who's eyes change colour.

Blue.Brown!

Brad: Neat!

Did Beulah ever invent a button that starts the show.?

Xavier: Nope, but I have just the thing!

Yadina: (giggles) I agree, Dr. Zoom.

That is one talented turtle!

Xavier: Hey Yadina, whatcha watching?

Yadina: Xavier! Brad!

Check it out: my friend took a video of her turtle.

Brad: Is that turtle.

♪ (dancing music) ♪

Yadina: Ooooh yeah!

Dr. Zoom says it's 'cause the water feels good on her shell.

(gasps) I bet these little guys would

love their very own turtle shower.

Xavier: Totally!

But, I'm pretty sure turtle showers don't exist.

Yadina: Hmmmmm. (gasp)

Then maybe I'll INVENT one!

Now let's see.

It would be a shower like they have at the beach,

just turtle-sized.

Oh, but turtles can't turn knobs

to make the water come out.

So I guess it would have to be on all the time.

But then we're wasting water.

and it would freeze in the winter.

(sighs) It'll never work.

Too bad, the turtles would have loved it.

Huh? Dr Zoom: (squeek)

Yadina: You're right, Dr. Zoom!

I can't give up yet!

Brad: That's the spirit, Yadina!

Yadina: Someone somewhere must have already

invented a turtle shower.

I'll just get them to tell me how to make it!

Xavier: Are you saying what I think you're saying?

Yadina/Xavier: To the Secret Museum!

Brad: This is not the spirit I was hoping for.

Brad: Her name is Newspaper Holder?

I thought it was Beulah.

Beulah: Oh! Sorry. I am Beulah.

But I've got a brand new idea for a newspaper holder.

It could attach to a belt!

So your arms won't get tired when you read.

Xavier: (gasps) Could it hold pizza too?

Beulah: Um. (giggles) I don't know. Maybe!

Yadina: But.won't it be heavy?

And how does it all fit in a belt buckle?

Beulah: I don't know! Yet.

That's why it's so great to try out new ideas.

Because you never know until you try!

I'm going to write this new idea down.

Yadina: You have a whole book full of new ideas?

(gasps) Got anything for a little tiny turtle shower?

Beulah: I don't think so, but let me check.

Turtle shower, turtle shower.

Nope.

But I have an idea for a new parasol!

It's a kind of umbrella you can change to match your outfit!

Brad: Can you add that feature to my cape?

All: (giggle)

Beulah: Here's an idea I have for a 'Poodle doll'

that can stand up and sit down like a real dog.

Yadina: Awwww, he's cute!

Beulah: I love thinking up ideas for brand new inventions.

When I'm older, I'm going to make them for real.

Yadina: For real?

But, what if they don't work?

Beulah: They might not. But without new ideas

we wouldn't have inventions like newspapers or umbrellas.

Brad: Mmmm. ice cream.

Beulah: Hey, do you want to make some?

My mom showed me how!

Brad: Strawberry.

(gasp) chocolate mint.

Wait up!!

Brad: (grunting)

I think I'm hotter now. (grunting)

Beulah: And we used up all the ice.

Now there's no way for it to get cold.

Yadina: Another idea not meant to be,

huh, Dr. Zoom?

Beulah: If only there was a better way

to make the cream cold, so it could turn into ice cream.

(gasps) Wait! I remember something.

Here it is!

A container that can keep something hot or cold.

If I used something like this to make ice cream,

I bet I could get it to freeze faster and use less ice!

Put the ingredients inside.

add just enough ice to get it cold,

and a crank to churn it up!

I can't wait to try out this new idea!

Yadina: A totally new ice cream maker!

Do you think it'll work?

Berby: (bleep blarp blarp)

Xavier: Looks like we're about to find out.

Berby: (bleep blarp)

Brad: Whoaaa!

Uhh.uhh, where are we?

When are we?

Berby: (bleep blarp blarp)

Xavier: Berby says we're at an invention fair,

years later.

Yadina: What's going on over there?

Berby: (blarp blarp)

Yadina: (grunting)

Huh?

Hey, there's Beulah!

Xavier: And she's got the artifact from the Secret Museum!

Beulah: Now, we just need some taste testers.

How about you three?

Want to give it a try?

Xavier: Definitely!

Brad: Um. What exactly are we testing?

Beulah: Ice cream of course!

From my brand new, just invented,

never seen before:

Ice Cream Freezer!

Crowd: (gasps)

Yadian: Wow! Yum!

Brad: Mmmm! Xavier: Mm! Yum!!

Crowd: (applauding)

Yadina: It really worked!

You had a totally new idea for something

that didn't exist, and you made it come true!

Brad: And it's delicious.

Beulah: Pretty neat, huh?

I didn't know if it would work at first.

But that didn't stop me from trying out my new idea.

And look what happened!

Now I have a lot more new ideas I want to try.

Like a sponge with built in soap.

And a doll with eyes that open and close.

And a built in radio so you can listen to music while you play!

Xavier: Those are ah-mazing ideas!

Brad: Yeah, I hope you get to make them.

Beulah: Don't worry, I will.

I just love to try out new ideas.

Yadina: Me, too!

Actually, there's an idea I want to try out right now!

Yadina: The turtle shower will exist,

and I am going to invent it!

Yadina: .aaaaand done!

Wanna see my new and improved Turtle Shower?

Xavier: Definitely!

Yadina: It looks like a normal shower,

but there's a big red button.

And when a turtle steps on it,

the water turns on.

And when the turtle is all done,

the water turns off!

Xavier: That's an ah-mazing idea, Yadina!

Brad: I bet the turtles think so, too.

Yadina: Don't worry, turtles.

Someday, I'm going to make it for real.
