- All I want is somepeace and quiet.

I mean,I love my brothers,

with no noiseand no brothers.

Hey, hey, I know the perfectquiet spot.

In the Kelp Forest.

- Kelp Forest?- Yeah!

- Splash,that is a great idea!

Oh, I just lovehow beautiful it is there.

- Oh, me too.

And Tidy the Garibaldi Fishlives there.

He's the Kelp Forest Keeper.

- Oh, and he'll be finewith me

having my own speciallittle place there?

- Of course!

Come on, let's gohop a current and go there.

- Okay.- Come on, whoo-hoo!

[laughs]

- Well, in that case, uh,you're welcome.

[all laughing]

- So what can I do for you?

- Oh, well, you see,Ripple here--

- Hi, Mr. Tidy.

I'm looking for a quiet spotof my very own.

Some place where I cantake a nap

or create somethingbeautiful.

Or just be all by myself.

It doesn't have to beanything fancy.

Just--just quiet.

- Well, then, you aredefinitely in the right place.

The Kelp Forest has endlessquiet and special spots.

As long as you stay awayfrom Chipper's place.

- I heard that! - Oh.

- Chipper!- [giggles]

- You see what I mean?- [laughs]

Well, listen, Tidy,I think I know

the perfect placefor Ripple,

so is it okayif we head that way?

- Of course.

Just remember, we all share thismagnificent place together,

so it's very importantthat you respect the forest

and leave onlyyour finprints behind!

- Come on, Ripple, let's go.- Okay.

- So many pebbles to stack,

so little time.

[giggles]

- Oh.

- So, uh, whatdo you think, huh?

Do you like it?- Nope.

- Oh, okay, well, we can find--- I love it!

- Oh![laughs]

- It's absolutely perfect.

Oh, thank you, Splash.- Aw.

[both giggles]

- Listen.Do you hear that?

- Uh, I don'thear anything.

- Exactly!

It's quiet.

No hundreds of loud brothers

who break my favorite things.

Just my own littlequiet spot.

- Oh, great.Well, I'll tell ya what,

you enjoy your quiet spotand, uh,

I'll see ya later.

- Okay.- Bye, pal.

- Bye, Splash!

I'll just be here, relaxing.

[giggles]

Oh, I love it.

It just needsa little pizzazz.

Hmm...

oh!

[gasps]

Orange sea stars.

Oh, I've never seenthese around here before.

They'll make a perfect additionto my quiet spot.

Right here.

Oh, perfect!

[giggles]

- Ripple.

Good morning. Ha.

Are you going toyour quiet spot today?

- Oh, hi!

- Race you tothe take-off point!

- Oh, whoa!

- I can go fasterthan you both!

- Whoa![sighs]

I can't wait to get back tomy quiet spot.

- Oh, I can see why.Let's go!

- Wait till you see what I did.- Yeah?

- I really decoratedit nicely.

It's really something.

- Uh, well,it's something, all right.

- Oh, no!

I--I don't understand.

There were onlytwo of them before.

What happened?

- I thought I heardyou two back here.

So, Ripple,how's it go--oh!

What're they doing here?

- Well, I just broughta couple in here

to be part of my quiet spot.

- But orange sea starsare an invasive species

to the Kelp Forest.

- So that sounds likea bad thing.

- You better believe it.

They do not belongin the Kelp Forest.

They like to eat kelp!

- And this is a kelp forest.- Exactly!

Here in the Kelp Forest,

there's nothing to stop themfrom eating all the kelp...

and multiplying!

- Oh, no!

- That's why I always say,

"Leave only your finprintsbehind."

- Oh!

And I left more thanmy finprints.

What am I going to do now?

- [gasps]I know!

We'll help you move them.

[laughs]- Oh!

But this will takeforever.

- No, it won't.

We'll work together.

- We sure will!- Yeah!

- Huh.

You know,I have a feeling

this just might work.

- Oh, I'm sorry, Tidy,

Ripple didn't knowshe wasn't supposed to bring

the orange sea starsinto the Kelp Forest.

- Which is why I always say,

"A place for everythingand everything in its place."

[sighs]

I'm not just called "Tidy"for my health, you know.

- Oh, I see.

I--I do, it makesso much more sense now.

- Oh, no!

Oh, it didn't work.

- Well, we moved a lot of 'em.

- Yeah, but now there are more than when we started.

- We all worked really hard,

but I'm afraid it's justtoo big of a job.

We're running out of time.

- What do we do?I mean, this'll take forever.

There are--there are hundreds of them.

- [gasps]There<span> are hundreds of them.

I have an idea.

Oh, I hope it works.I'll be right back!

- Where are you going?- Uh, bye, Ripple.

- Huh?Oh.

[sighs] Well, I supposeit's all too late.

Soon, there won't be any moreKelp Forest to clean.

[wails]

- [laughing] - Huh?

- Yeah!- Whoa!

- Whoo-hoo!- Let's go!

- Hey, yeah, Ripple!- Oh!

- Here she comes.

And here come her brothers.

- We won't let you down, Ripple.- Yeah!

- She was right,there are hundreds of them.

- Whoo-hoo-hoo!- Let's do it!

- [laughs]- This one's for Ripple!

- All right, brothers!

Grab a sea star and go!

Ha ha!

- Yeah!- Whoa!

- I got one.- Yes!

- Yeah.- Let's help Ripple!

- Yeah!- Okay, let's do it.

- Wow, that is great, .

- Oh, yeah!- So much fun!

- We got it, Ripple.

- Nice tail move, .

[lively music]

Wow! Look at Dad go!

Wow, two at once!

Impressive, Papa.

- Thank you,<span> mija. - [giggles]

- This will definitelyclear the sea stars

and save the forest.

Ha ha.Well done!

[laughs]- Oh, Ripple, you are a genius.

- No, like I always say,

I'm just luckyI have a big family.

- Uh, yeah.

Ripple, you never actuallysaid that.

- Oh, well, uh,

starting now,it's what I always say.

There's nothing betterthan a big family to be there--

[all laughing]Whoa!

Hey, watch it, bub!

[both laughing]- Yeah!

- Coming through.- Thank you!

- Thank you, Ripple.- Mm-mm.

[both laugh]

Ripple, you did it.

- Oh, we all did it.- Aw, yeah.

- Ripple,<span> mija, we're so proud of you.

- Aw, thank you, Papa.

Hey, do you guys all likemy quiet spot?

- No.- Oh.

all: We love it!

- Oh![laughs]

- Ripple, sorry we brokeyour shell the other day.

We got you a new one.

You can keep it herein your quiet spot.

- Yeah, we know you wanted toget away from all our noise.

- Oh, well, thank you.

Having a quiet spot on my own

is pretty great now and then.

But having all of you herewith me is even better.

- Oh, I'll catch it!- I'll catch it!

[all speaking at once]

- [giggles]

- They're amazing!- Nice.

- Oh, I love a cleanKelp Forest.

- Careful! - And now it's time to...

all: Get your feet wet!

- What is a kelp forest?

- We turned our classroominto a kelp forest.

[upbeat music]

- Kelp is an underwater plantcalled algae.

♪ ♪

Lots of animalslive in the kelp forest.

♪ ♪

- Seals!

♪ ♪

Wolf eels.

♪ ♪

Sea urchins.

♪ ♪

Garibaldi.

♪ ♪

- I'm a garibaldi fishand I'm keeping my garden clean.

No sea urchinsor sea stars allowed.

If I keep my nest clean, femaleswill lay their eggs here.

Yay!

- I hope I cansee a kelp forest someday.

- This has been "Get Your Feet Wet"!

- [chuckles]Oh, boy.

Well, looks like we haveeverything we need

for the perfectKelp Forest campout.

- Where's Dunk?

- You know, I'm not sure. Ha.

He might be a bit confused

about what a campout is.

- Huh? What did you tell himit was?

- Just thatit's the best night ever.

Yeah--you get tostay up late,

hang out with friends,

tell spooky stories,

sleep away from home.

- Let me guess,you lost him at

"sleep away from home."

- [laughs]How did you know?

- Yeah, Dunk likes to havehis stuff with him.

- Well, I'm sure he'll enjoyroughing it for one ni--

- [muffled] Oh hey, guys,sorry I'm late.

- Dunk, what--what is all that?

- You don't expect meto go the whole night

without my rock collection,do you?

- But you're not gonna need allthat tonight, Dunk.

The whole point of campingis to get away from home

and all your stuff.

- Why would I want toget away from my stuff?

I mean, why have stuff if I'mjust gonna leave it behind?

Oh, which reminds me...

♪ ♪

[muffled] I almost forgotmy other rocks.

And my trustyclusterwink night light

to keep the dark away.

- Okay, What's the strangestthing you've ever seen

in the whole ocean?

- Oh, I heard about thisdamsel fish--

- Uh-huh.- Who swam into a dark cave--

- Uh-huh.- And came face to face

with a huge-legged octopus!

- Yeah!- Yeah.

- But, Dunk, um,"octo" means "eight."

Because octopuses haveeight tentacles.

So a -legged octopus

wouldn't even be an octopus.

It would be a--uh,a -opus,

and, uh, that's nota real thing.

- Oh, okay then,Mr. Weird Story,

let's hear your strangest.

- Oh, um...[clears throat]

Oh!Okay.

Have you guys ever heard

about a mountainhere in the water

that is filled...with...fire?

- What?That's amazing!

- Uh, okay.

There's no way that's real.- It's real!

In fact, they're way downin the deep, dark waters below.

My explorer friend, Lu,told me all about them.

- Could Lu take us to one?

- What, you mean like tonight?

But I have all these fun campingactivities planned for us.

- More fun than seeinga mountain of fire?

- Oh, uh, well, when youput it that way...

let's go!

- Okay!- Yay, mountain of fire!

- Come on!- Dunk?

What're you doing?

- Oh well, I really want to findout about this fire mountain,

but I hate to leavemy rocks alone.

- Aw, they'll haveeach other.

- I know, but...

hey, should I takemy clusterwink?

- Oh, come on!- Come on, Dunk.

It'll be fun.- All right.

I'm coming, I'm coming.

- Lu's got to be around heresomewhere.

It's just so hard to see downhere in the deep.

- Sure could use my clusterwinknight light right about now.

- [gasps]Hey!

What's that shadow?Is it Lu?

- What if it'sthe -legged octopus?

Oh, he's probably mad you guysdidn't think he existed.

- Hi, guys!

all: Lu!

- Boy, are we glad to see you.

- Boy, are<span> we glad to see you.

Right, Bob?

- Hiya, kids,what brings you down here?

- Well, I was telling Bubblesand Dunk and Ripple

about underwater mountainsof fire,

and they don't believethey're real.

- Well, you better believe it.

They're called"submarine volcanoes."

- Hah! There you go,thank you, settled.

Okay, let's go back to camp.

- Hey, Lu, uh,they came all this way.

Why don't we show 'ema volcano?

- Great idea, Bobby.- Really?

- I don't like to brag,

but Bob and I are quitethe mountain climbers.

- Yeah, in fact,we've been to the bottom

of every mountainin this area.

- Don't you mean the topof every mountain?

- Oh, it's the oppositedown here.

In the deep, we start at the topand climb down.

All the yucky, weird stuff'sat the bottom.

- Yucky weird stuff?

Yes, please!

- ♪ The deep deep ocean's ♪

♪ Such a remarkable place ♪

♪ But it's hard to seeyour fin ♪

♪ When it's right in front ofyour face ♪

- Yeah!- Whoa!

- All right, kiddos.

Next stop:a submarine volcano!

all: Oh!- Come on, here we go.

- Wow!- [laughs]

- So, uh, what happens if itgets so dark, uh,

that we can't see?

- I'll just turn up my light.

[all oohing and ahing]

♪ ♪

Here we are.

- A real lifesubmarine volcano.

- Uh, this is prettyinteresting, Lu,

but, uh, where's the fire?

- Well,it's not exactly fire.

There's a molten substance--- Yes, called "magma."

- Magma, thank you, Bobby,

that comes out ofthe top of the volcano.

And you want to stay awayfrom that magma because, boy,

it's very, very hot.

Hot enough to even melt rocks!

- Oh.- Wow!

- Not my rock collection!

- Your rock collectionis safe, Dunk.

As long as they don't getdropped into the volcano,

that is.

Okay, who's readyto climb a volcano?

all: We are!

- Oh, this is gonna beso much fun.

- Oh, I know.- Cannot wait.

- Everything we're swimming overright now, this whole mountain,

was made from magmacooling in the water.

After each eruption,

magma pours out, then cools,

making the "mountain"a little taller each time.

Isn't that something?

- Yeah--hey,let's go right to the top.

- Oh, first,we just need to make sure

this volcano isn't gonna erupt

before we get too close.

- Uh, yeah,that sounds like a good rule.

- Is there a way to tell ifa volcano's about to erupt?

- One signan eruption's coming

is there'd be shaking.

- Hmm.

- Whoa!- Hey, Bubbles.

Did you feel that vibrationin the water?

- Yeah, did you feel it?- Yeah, I sure did.

- Just out of curiosity,

what are one ofthe other signs

that an eruptionis about to take place?

- Oh, well, there'd be bigplumes of ash

coming out of the volcano.

- [gasps] You mean like that?

- Oh, yeah, that's the one.

- The final sign would bered hot magma

oozing out of the top ofthe volcano.

If that happens,we want to be safe

and get far away from it.

- Hey, uh, Lu?

Hey, Lu?Lu?

- Well, if you kids arelooking for excitement,

you're about to get some.

Because I think this baby'sabout to erupt.

- Uh, yeah, I don't thinkI'm looking for

that much excitement.[all gasping]

- Once we'rea safe distance away,

you kids are infor quite a show.

[excited murmuring]

Stay close to me, now.

♪ ♪

- You were right.

The volcano is so beautiful.

- Right?Can you see, Bob?

- Oh, yeah.

♪ ♪

- Wow!That was amazing!

- Yeah!- That was great!

- Yeah!

- Oh, I can't believewe actually saw

a submarine volcano erupt.- [chuckling]

- I'm sorry I everdoubted you guys.

- Me, too.

- Plus, check out all thesereally great rocks.

Oh, I didn't notice they werehere before the eruption.

- That's becausethey weren't there before.

- Wha--they weren't?

- Those are no normal rocks.

They're pieces of magmathat have cooled

and solidifiedin the water.

- Wow.

I can't believe that all thatsuper hot magma

could cool so fast.

- I guess the water down herein the deep

is just that cold.

- Oh, now you're talkingmy language.

- Aw, thanks so much, Lu.

This has been amazing, but,uh...

[yawns]

I think it's, uh, time wehead back to our campsite.

- I guess you're right, but...

these rocks are justso interesting.

- Dunk, if you want to take onefor your collection, it's okay.

- [gasps]Really?

I don't have anything like it.

♪ ♪

[muffled] Thanks!

I love it.

[all laughing]

- Well, thanks, Lu.- Thank you, Lu!

- Buh-bye, kids.- Thanks, Bob!

- Come back anytime. - I'm right here!

[all laughing]

- It was amazing to seea volcano and everything,

but, well, I wish we didn'thave to miss out on camping

and all those fun thingsI wanted to do.

- What did you want to do,exactly?

- Well, you know,

stay up lateand hang out with friends

and tell weirdand strange stories.

- We did all those things.

We're up late right now,

and we've been hanging outall night.

- Yeah, and we have a new weird,strange story

about the time we visitedthe mountain of fire.

- Yeah,I guess you're right.

[chuckles]

It really has beena great night.

- Let's camp out more often!

- Definitely.- Absolutely.

- Great, I'll bring my rocks.

Uh, or maybe I'll just, uh,leave them next time.

[all laughing]

- Oh, Dunk.

Oh, well, good night,bestest buddies.

- And now it's time to... all: Get your feet wet!

♪ ♪

- Were there animals inthe ocean before dinosaurs?

- Yes, look at this animal.

Hard, round shell, long, pointy tail.

This half a soccer ball with legs

is a horseshoe crab.

If you ever have the good fortune

to touch a horseshoe crab,

you are touching an animal that lived in the ocean

before there were dinosaurs.

Horseshoe crabs have looked nearly the same

for over million years.

That means a stegosaurus could have

met this thing on the beach.

Just like you could meet this thing on the beach!

And don't worry.

Their long tails don't sting,

but help them steer and swim underwater.

Holding a horseshoe crab is like holding a living fossil,

an animal that has been around since before dinosaurs,

before trees, and even before your grandparents.

So, hey, horseshoe crabs, don't go changing,

'cause we like you just the way you are.

- Wow, horseshoe crabsare older than dinosaurs.

- This has been "Get Your Feet Wet"!

[upbeat music]
