♪ Looking for mischief

- [Piggley] Jakers!

- Hold on there boys.

(intense music)

- Hi, Grandpa.

- Come in here and give your old

Grandpa a great big hug, huh?

(soft music)

Come on, come on...

Ahh, that's me boy Sean.

Seamus, well, now, you wouldn't be

hiding something there

from your old Grandpa, would ya, Seamus, eh?

- Hiding something?

- Uh-uh.

- (laughing) Ah, Seanie, I believe you,

but there's many that wouldn't.

Now, let's see what you've got.

(soft music)

(chirping)

- [Sean] He's our new pet!

- I see, well now, you know,

some animals make great pets, and others don't.

- But we found him!

- He's ours!

- Well, just because you found him, doesn't make him yours.

Why, I recall the time

me friends and I found something

we thought was the greatest treasure in the whole world.

We were dragon hunting at the old castle ruins one day.

♪ We brave knights be hunting for dragons

♪ With fiery breath and spiny backs

♪ We'll trounce them all and fix their wagons

♪ Or they will have us all for snacks (echoing)

(all laughing)

(whimsical music)

- Knights of Raloo, beware!

This castle be-ith full of dragons!

We've got to take it back!

(both cheering)

- Come on, boys, let's go! - Dragons beware!

- [Dannan] Here, dragons!

(whimsical music)

(whooshing)

(whimsical music)

(thudding)

(adventurous music)

(majestic fanfare)

- Look out for our mighty sword, ye terrible dragon!

(whooshing)

(sad trombone music)

- My sword!

(intense music swelling)

I gotta get it back!

(whooshing)

(adventurous music)

(footsteps pattering)

- Where is it?

- I don't know, Piggley t'rew it!

- Oh, it's over there.

(birds twittering)

I'll get it!

(footsteps pattering)

(gasping) (dramatic music)

Dannan, Ferny, quickly!

(footsteps pattering)

(skidding)

Would you look at that egg!

- Oh, Janey Mac!

- It's so big!

- I know, big as a dragon's egg!

- Do you think it's a dragon's egg?

- Well, of course it is, there's a baby dragon in there.

(shrill honking)

(skidding)

(foreboding music)

(whimsical music)

(whooshing)

(whimsical music)

- If that's a baby dragon, then where's the mother dragon?

(birds twittering)

(intense music)

- She must be in there.

- Well Piggley, you better find her

and give this back to her, before she gets mad!

- Er, grand... I will.

(quiet music)

Uh, okay then,

(soft foreboding music)

here I go.

(wind whistling spookily) (echoing cackle)

- Well, go on, go on, move yourself.

- Right.

(intense music)

(birds twittering)

(footsteps pattering) (piano trilling)

(whooshing)

(distant squeaking)

(footsteps pattering)

(chiming)

(distant squeaking)

(intense music) (clattering)

(intense music) (distant squawking)

(chiming)

(water dripping)

(chiming)

(intense music) (distant squawking)

(water dripping)

(harp glissing)

(ethereal music)

Jakers, aah!

(footsteps pattering)

There's no mother in there!

(intense whimsical music)

(children's screams echoing)

- [Piggley Voiceover] We tried for most of the morning

to find a mother for that egg,

but there was none to be found that day.

So, we decided to go straight

to the egg experts, the chickens.

(hens clucking)

- Er, excuse me, uh, chickens,

(hens clucking)

(chiming)

(hens clucking)

(chiming)

(hens clucking)

- Uh, who wants to hatch our egg?

(hens clucking)

(hens squawking)

(hens clucking)

(hens squawking indignantly)

- So that's how it is, is it?

Well 'en, I'll just have to

pick one of ya for da job.

(honking) (squawking)

(hens clucking)

(squawking)

(thudding)

- Whoa! Ugh! (thudding)

(footsteps pattering) (whimsical music)

(hens clucking)

- Oh, here Ferny - let me try.

♪ Hmm hmm

♪ I don't have an egg

♪ Hmm hmm hmm hmm

(hens clucking)

(crayon scratching) (hens clucking)

(cheery music)

(chuckling) Hey, I'm just a little chick

who's cold and all alone.

Would you keep me warm Miss Hen, and make your nest my home?

(feathers rustling) (chiming)

(footsteps pattering)

- You fooled that Chicken into thinking

that dragon egg was a baby chick!

- Ferny, quiet! (squawking)

(squawking)

- Oh, Janey Mac!

(honking) (thudding)

(squawking)

- What, what, what, what, what!

(hens clucking)

- Did you hear that?

- Yeah, I think he said I want to eat your bones.

- (gasping) He did not, did it?

- Well, maybe we should find someone else to sit on our egg.

(sheep snoring) (sheep bleating)

(intense music)

(sheep snoring) (sheep bleating)

(intense music) (sheep snoring)

(creaking)

(sheep snoring) (intense music)

(popping)

(swishing)

(whimsical music)

(whooshing)

(sheep bleating)

(footsteps pattering) (sheep bleating)

(swishing)

- Hopping hairballs, I've laid an egg!

(upbeat music)

(swishing)

I can lay eggs, who knew?

(egg honking)

(chiming)

(tender violin music)

Aw, (sniffling) it said mama!

(upbeat jazz music)

Hey everybody, I'm a mother!

Hey, who wants to throw me a baby shower?

C'mon, we gotta get my kid a crib,

or a dresser drawer, or an egg cup!

(intense music)

(egg squawking)

(soft music) (egg rattling)

[Piggley] That's it, then.

The sheep will keep the egg warm,

and when it hatches,

we'll have our very own drag... (egg honking)

(dramatic music)

(egg honking)

(whimsical music)

- Oh, he followed us!

- He t'inks we're his mother!

- Great, what should we do?

- Er, uh, I don't know.

- First thing we have to do is hatch him out of that egg.

We can take turns sittin' on him

to keep the little fella warm.

Who wants to go first?

(adventurous music)

(music intensifying)

Fine then, I'll go first.

But I'll tell ya now,

I'm not sitting up here all afternoon!

- Aw, don't worry, Dannan.

Piggley and I will take our turns.

- He's going to be mighty hungry when he hatches, Ferny.

We should go find something for him to eat.

- Okay, Piggley.

- What, you can't leave me here all by meself!

- (grunting) Ah, you'll be okay, Dannan.

Here's some water for ya, if you get thirsty.

(water splashing) (intense music)

- What if he hatches and eats me?

Dragons do that, you know!

(gasping)

- Uh, well, um, I guess we better hurry up

and find some food for him before he does hatch!

Come on, Ferny, let's go.

- Right!

(bright adventurous music)

(water sloshing)

(slurping loudly)

(bright adventurous music)

- Uh, Piggley, do you t'ink

the baby dragon might really eat Dannan?

- No, they only eat Princesses.

- Oh.

(bright adventurous music)

(creaking)

Piggley, where are we going to find a Princess?

- I'm a princess.

Someday I'll be the Queen!

- You're a goner.

(scuttling)

- Sorry, Molly, I can't let the dragon

eat me own bloomin' sister!

- (gasping) You have a dragon?

Where is it, can I see it?

Oh, I want to see it!

- No, you can't see it, Molly.

It's too dangerous!

- Oh, let me see it!

I'm not a real princess.

It won't hurt me, please!

- Ah, Jakers.

- Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!

(intense music)

I never should've had that last sip of water!

Ooh, I certainly hope those boys get back soon!

(intense music)

(whooshing)

(water dripping) (music intensifying)

Ooh, I can't wait, I've gotta go!

(thudding)

(footsteps pattering)

(mystical music)

(honking)

(egg cracking)

(footsteps pattering)

(whooshing)

- (gasping) Piggley, Ferny, it hatched!

- Jakers, it did hatch!

- But where is it, Piggley?

Where's the dragon?

(intense music)

- Where's Dannan?

(intense music)

Dannan!

- Oh no!

- [Piggley] Dannan, Dannan!

(intense music)

(foreboding music)

(thudding)

- (panting) Is he ready to eat the coal now?

- Uh, Ferny, I think he already ate.

(sad music)

- (gasping) You mean, Dannan was dinner?

(sad music)

Ah, poor Dannan.

- [Piggley and Molly] Poor, poor Dannan.

♪ Poor old Dannan is no more

(inhaling deeply)

♪ The dragon gave a mighty roar

(inhaling deeply)

♪ He swallowed Dannan whole today

♪ Our friend Dannan's gone

(inhaling deeply)

♪ Away

(tender music)

- [Piggley Voiceover] Ah, to be sure,

Ferny had the gift of song,

but there was still a dragon on the loose!

(loud honking)

(both gasping)

- The dragon!

- Oh, (gasping)

(intense music)

it's over there.

- Do you see it?

- No, I don't.

(intense whimsical music)

(shrill honking)

(children screaming) (scuttling)

- [Piggley] Oh no, he's out!

(children yell over one another)

- Huh?

(footsteps pattering) (dramatic music)

Oh! (thudding)

(mysterious music)

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!

What's going on here, then?

- (gasping) Dannan?

- It is Dannan!

- Well of course it's me, who else would I be?

- Well we thought the dragon ate you!

- Swallowed you whole!

- The dragon, you mean the egg hatched without me?

- Uh-huh, he's in the barn.

But we can't find him.

- Well, we can't leave him alone in there!

He's just a baby.

(whimsical music)

(footsteps pattering)

- Eh, I tell you

I gave that egg the best minute of my life.

(sad violin music)

(sobbing) Oh, where's my little honker,

where's my little oval?

(blowing nose loudly)

Where are you now Eggy?

(shrill honking)

Wait, that's him!

I'd recognize that honk anywhere!

That's the honk of a mother's angel,

or maybe a ' Buick.

(whimsical music)

- [Ferny] Oh no, he's out!

(children shout over one another)

- [Dannan] Gotta catch him, quick!

- He's playing hide and seek with the other kids.

He must be hide.

(children shouting indistinctly)

(thudding)

Whadda ya think, whadda ya think, whadda ya think?

(shuddering)

Was I a good mother?

(whimsical music) (footsteps pattering)

(whimsical music) (scuttling)

(spiders squeaking)

(screaming)

(thudding)

(squishy shaking)

(soft intense music)

(dramatic music)

(squeaking)

(footsteps pattering) (dramatic music)

(whooshing)

(footsteps pattering)

(whimsical music)

- [Molly] Gotcha! (thudding)

(honking)

- Good work, Molly!

Ah, the poor little thing must be scared and hungry.

(squawking) Ow, hey!

- I think he's more hungry than he is scared.

Let me give him some grasshoppers!

- He won't like grasshoppers.

Try some of your coal, Ferny!

- [Piggley Voiceover] We figured that

since a dragon breathes fire,

he might fancy some nice coal for lunch.

(twanging)

(sad music)

(sneezing)

(whimsical horn music)

(bucket rattling)

(sneezing)

(whimsical music)

- Well, I guess he doesn't like coal after all!

(footsteps pattering)

- Now can we try my grasshoppers?

- Ah go on, Molly.

A dragon won't eat a grasshopper.

(clinking)

Dragons are big and fiery and ferocious, and...

(boinging) (clattering)

(whooshing)

(sh*t f*ring)

(glass clattering)

and, they love grasshoppers.

(soft music)

(honking)

- Mammy says it's real important

to keep a new baby warm, so they can get plenty of sleep.

- Too bad there's no volcano close by.

Dragons love to sleep in volcanoes!

- It's nice and warm here in the kitchen, Piggley.

I hope Mammy won't mind! (distant door thudding)

- Won't mind what?

What are you up to today, little man?

- Uh, we were, uh, just, um, you know, we--

- Never mind, I'll see for meself.

(shrill honking)

- (gasping) Oh my!

(rattling) (whimsical music)

(children screaming)

(whooshing)

- What's all the commotion, then?

- Piggley has let a turkey loose in the kitchen!

- He's not a turkey!

I'd never bring a turkey into the house!

- I'd like to see that for myself!

- He's under the table!

(shrill honking)

- (sighing) You're right, Piggley, it's not a turkey.

- Well, then, what is it?

- It's a dragon!

(lighthearted music)

- It's a cygnet.

(chiming)

A cygnet is a baby swan.

(bass drum thudding)

- A baby swan?

- That's right.

- Are you sure it's not a dragon?

(plucking) Ow!

- No, but it is a wild animal, Piggley.

He doesn't belong in the house.

He belongs in the wild with his mother.

- I know, we tried to find her.

- Oh, then you'll need to look for her again tomorrow.

But tonight, you're going to have to be his mother.

- I can do that, Dad!

(shrill honking)

Hello, little baby.

(plucking) Ow!

(gentle music)

(honking) (soft music)

Well lads, this is where we found him.

There has to be a mother swan around here somewhere.

- Ahh, It was fun having a dragon, wasn't it?

- [Dannan] Even if he was a swan.

(soft intense music)

(distant honking)

- That's her, that's his mother, come on!

(footsteps pattering)

(intense whimsical music)

There she is!

(loud honking)

(baby swan honking)

It was a pleasure knowin' you, Dragon.

I'm gonna miss ya.

Off with ya, now!

(sad music)

(loud honking)

(honking)

- Aww, look at him, he looks so happy to be with his mother.

- Well Piggley, we'd better be getting home.

(intense music) (scuttling)

(tender music)

(footsteps pattering)

(quiet honking)

(footsteps pattering)

(gentle music)

- Goodbye, my little dragon!

Well now, I have to say,

I was sad to see the little fella go!

- So was the little swan happy to go back with his mother?

- I think so, it's where he belonged.

- I guess we should put this guy

back where he belongs too, huh?

Come on, Seamus, let's take him outside!

(cheery music)

(bird chirping)

- Now there go a couple of wild animals

that do belong in the house, huh? (chuckling)

(adventurous music)

(clicking)
