[Orla] My name is Agent Orla.

These are my partners, Oswald, Omar and Osmerelda.

[ratcheting]

This is an optical illusion.

[ratcheting]

We travel the world investigating

anything strange, weird,

and especially odd.

Our job is to put things right again.

[heroic music and zapping]

[fist thudding]

[zapping]

Huh?

[rumbling reverse zap]

Woo!

[crackling]

-[screaming] -[bicycle bells ringing]

[Orla]Who do we work for? We work for Odd Squad.

[Osmerelda] Set Lasers to Profit.

Hello?

Hello? Little O?

Where are you?

Oswald, are you certain Little O told us to come here?

Absolutely.

I have a message for you from the Little O.

[tune of Row Row Your Boat]

♪Take, take, take yourself♪

the invitation did seem a little fishy.

But, if Little O didn't call us here,

It was me!

And me!

[all] Tommy Twosie?

-And me! -[all] High Five?

Is anyone else behind there?

-No one else. -That's it.

Just us.

We were the ones that sent you the singing telegram.

It was a fish, that was neat.

And now that you're all here,

we're going to defeat you with our odd powers.

How? You're number villains

without any actual powers.

Well, that all changes today.

Like, right now.

Now?

[evil laughter]

Hello, Odd Squad!

My name's Bonnie Blaster,

inventor of the odd gadget-tron .

The what, now?

The this, now.

[epic music]

[gasping]

Gotcha!

This gadget was designed to create any odd power

in order to help villains who have zero talent.

Ha! In your face.

No, no, just...

Let me demonstrate,

with a little bit of ice.

[machine whooshing]

Uh-oh!

[villains cheering]

Now we'll finally get the respect we deserve

from the entire villain community,

since we stopped the Odd Squad Mobile Unit forever!

This isn't gonna last forever.

What?

It's ice. It's gonna melt.

Why didn't you tell us that?

You don't know that ice melts?

Yes, we know ice melts...

now that you told us.

Bonnie Blaster, can we have a word with you, in private?

Certainly.

The point of this entire thing

was to stop the mobile unit forever.

You specifically asked me to use the ice ray.

Well, I specifically wish you would've corrected me.

But like in a nice way

that wouldn't have been embarrassing!

Bonnie, can you blast them with something stronger?

Of course, how about turning them into stone statues?

-[all] Yes! -Great, that'll be $.

[all] What?

Our contract clearly states that the first blast is free,

and the rest cost extra.

OK, but $?

What do we look like? Dentists?

-I don't follow. -Well, you see,

dentists earn quite a bit of money,

and seeing as how we're not dentists,

we don't have $.

How about I give you my two handheld mirrors instead?

Now, if you position them right,

you can see yourself forever and ever,

and ever, and ever--

OK, if you don't have $, I'm leaving.

No! Please excuse us a moment.

OK, we need $.

This should help us keep track.

[computer bleeps]

[High Five & Timmy Twosie] Whoa!

I have $ on me.

[computer bleeps]

Bonnie, we'll be right back.

Great, I'll be waiting.

Alright team, it's time to do the thing we do!

What is that, like a catchphrase or something?

I'll keep working on it.

We have to get out of this ice before they come back.

I shall try using my might.

[tense music]

[discordant music]

We sound good.

Thank you!

Uh, we have to go.

What's the rush? We haven't even had a chance to count

how much money we made.

This spot actually belongs

to a wizard band, and they're back.

Run!

[tense music]

Hey, what's going on in here?

Oh, they're trying to escape but it's not going so well.

Fun to look at, though. So, did you get the money?

[Tommy Twosie] Hold on, let us check.

OK.

[computer bleeps]

Here's the $ we started with.

High Five, how much money did we make

playing music?

One, two, three, four, five,

six, seven, eight, nine, ten dollars.

Woo-hoo! We have $!

Blast them, Bonnie.

Actually, you owe me more money.

What?

You were gone for quite a long time,

so I had to order myself lunch.

Why?

Because you asked me to stay here,

and paying for my lunch is clearly stated

on page of our contract.

OK, that's not-- well, it is actually

kind of fair when you think about it.

The food was $, and my drink was $.

But we don't have any more money.

Oh, no problem.

I got a call from Simon Sixer,

and he's very interested in using

the odd gadget-tron .

Wait, we'll figure this out!

-OK. -[computer bleeps]

So, $ for the food, plus $ for the drink,

means we need five more dollars.

Uh, actually, I also bought this beach chair for $.

Why would you do that?

Who eats spaghetti standing up?

She's got us there.

Fair point.

[Threesie Louisie] So, that's $ for lunch,

plus $ for the chair. Which is five, six,

seven, eight. We need eight more dollars.

I knew I should've gone to dental school.

There's no time for that now!

Or is there?

No!

OK, well, we need to earn the money quickly

before the ice melts.

Let's split up, we'll be faster.

Agreed.

The countdown to villainy is now!

Any better?

It's getting there.

If I could just find the heat function.

-Aha! -[dinging]

This might be obvious but I didn't find it.

[all cheering]

Now, please, blast Odd Squad into marble statues.

Ah! Here's the thing.

I just promised the marble to Simon Sixer.

But you're in luck! I still have

I'd like a diamond the size of my fist.

Aha! Nothing happened.

That's because my request wasn't within reason.

I'd like an apple the size of my fist.

[computer bleeps]

Mm, tastes like diamonds.

The machine costs one dollar to use.

But what happens when you don't have one dollar bill?

No problem! You can add different coins together

to equal cents, or one dollar.

A quarter, the biggest coin, equals cents.

So, you need four of them to make one dollar.

A dime, the smallest coin, is worth cents,

so, you need ten of them to make one dollar.

Nickels are worth five cents,

so, you need of them to make one dollar.

Pennies are worth one cent, so, it takes

of them to make cents, or one dollar.

But what happens when you're down to your last dollar?

Watch this.

[machine grinding]

One dollar.

[computer bleeps]

Another dollar! Which you could then use

to make another dollar.

One dollar.

[computer bleeps]

cool special effects like this--

And this! Whoa, whoa!

And this!

Whoo!

We will also give you five tips

-on how to stop Odd Squad... -Yuck.

...From stopping you.

I know what you're thinking.

Why should you listen to us?

[laughter]

Stop.

Because, between Marty and me,

we have been caught by Odd Squad one--

-Two! -It's one.

One.

One million times!

[laughter]

So, yeah. We know what we're talking about.

[inspirational music]

Let's start with this.

Tip number one.

Uh-- eh? OK.

Do not talk to Odd Squad.

Listen, I get how fun it is to brag

about how much smarter you are than Odd Squad,

and how they'll never catch you,

I've even done it myself. Take a look.

The town museum has been covered in jam.

Jamie Jam is back in town.

That's right, I'm running up and down Oak street

jamming things up. And you're not smart enough to catch me!

[maniacal laughter]

Great speech right? Wrong.

I told Odd Squad what I was going to do

and where I was going to do it

which made it so much easier for them to catch me!

But my biggest mistake was that I followed a pattern.

-Hey, Jamie. -Oh! Hi, Marty.

What's a pattern?

A pattern is something that repeats.

It could be colors, or shapes, or even numbers.

Let's see if you can figure out this pattern.

Oh.

First, I jammed house two,

then I jammed house four,

and then house six.

Hm. Two plus two is four.

And four plus two is six.

It's a plus two pattern!

I thought you'd like this one!

Can you figure out which house I jammed next?

Six is the last number, so if we add two,

it's seven, eight, so house eight!

Exactly!

Which is exactly the problem!

If you follow a pattern, Odd Squad can predict

where you're going to go next,

making it easier for them to catch you.

That's why a villain should be as random as possible

when causing oddness.

One idea is to throw a pair of dice.

Or you could flip a coin!

Or you could talk to a llama with your mind.

Hey, llama, if you were to be random,

which house should we jam next?

[llama] I think you should cause oddness

on house number three million.

[both] Thanks, llama!

It seems that Odd Squad is around every corner.

Even the corners in the sky.

Do skies have corners?

Anyway, look what happened the last time

I tried to marmalade something.

Drop the marmalade Marty Marmalade!

Odd Squad?

That's right, we can fly now.

And as soon as we get down, you're busted!

How exactly do we do that?

Don't know. Maybe we say, land?

[both screaming]

Try and look cool.

Uh. Busted.

Why did I get busted?

I already marmaladed two houses that day.

I was exhausted!

And that brings us to villain tip number two.

Do not cause oddness everyday.

I know, I know, you want to cause oddness all the time.

But, trust me, take some days off,

and you'll be able to cause more oddness better.

For example, easel!

Oh!

There are seven days in a week.

Do some oddness on Monday,

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

but take the weekend days off.

That's Saturday and Sunday.

-Hey, Marty! -Hey, Jamie.

Sometimes I like to take the whole month off,

you know, just to recharge the ol' jam hands.

Pew! Pew! Pew!

Sure. You can do that.

But watch out, because not all months

have the same number of days.

Um, could we tell the villains which months

have which number of days?

I think that would be really helpful.

Yes, we can.

There are months in a year.

January, March, May, July, August,

October, and December have days.

And April, June, September, and November

only have days.

[both] And February only has !

Unless it's a leap year.

Thanks, llama!

Every four years, February gets an extra day,

so instead of days, there's .

An extra day for oddness?

I love leap years!

But what should a villain do

when they're not causing oddness?

I'm glad you asked.

Hit it!

[rock music]

[jam and marmalade squishing]

Villain tip number three.

Come on!

Careful what you name yourself.

There's lots of fun villains with lots of fun names:

Noisemaker, Fladam, Lady Chair.

[woman] Sit down.

But sometimes, your name can make it easier

for Odd Squad to catch you.

Take a look.

[tense music]

Looks like the work of Symmetric Al!

Al's the most symmetrical person in the world.

One side of his body looks just like the other side.

He takes half of anything that's symmetrical?

Symmetric Al wants to be

the only symmetrical thing in the universe!

If his name wasn't Symmetric Al,

maybe Odd Squad would've never figured out that he did it!

-Hey, Jamie. -[Jamie screaming]

Oh, hi, Marty. Hi.

I just realized that our names

are also our things.

-Jamie Jam. -Me.

-Marty Marmalade. -You.

So, maybe we should change them.

But what would we change our names to be?

Oh.

Llama.

Oh, yeah.

Villain tip number four.

Keep track of your oddness.

That's right, Llama.

When I jam somebody,

I like to write it down.

I know. Because we took all that information,

or data, and put it into this bar graph.

The bottom axis, or the horizontal line,

shows which type of jam I used.

And the axis on the other side, or the vertical line,

shows how many times I used it.

Putting data into this graph makes it easier to understand.

The higher the bar, the bigger the number.

Exactly! So, this month, using my fave, grape jam,

I jammed ten people.

And using apricot jam, you jammed five people!

And using strawberry jam, I only jammed two people.

Two! What's the matter?

You couldn't find any more people to jam?

[maniacal laughter]

I can always make the number go higher.

Uh! Two is great.

Here with the final villain tip to stop Odd Squad,

yuck, from stopping you, it's Marty Marmalade.

First of all, my name is Llama now.

And second, I thought you were going to do the last tip.

No, I'm eating jam now 'cause you said you were.

-No, I did not. -Yes you did too!

No, I did not.

Yes!

No!

-Yes! -No!

This is embarrassing,

we're supposed to have five villain tips

and we only have four.

If Odd Squad were making a video,

this never would've happened.

You're right, we need to be more like Odd Squad.

-What? -Just hear me out, Llama.

I like Odd Squad even less than you.

Not possible.

But, there's some things that

they do very well like teamwork.

How they're always helping and supporting each other.

How they never give up.

Even when they fail, they use that failure

to become stronger and better.

In order to defeat Odd Squad,

we need to think like Odd Squad!

Yes!

This seems especially evil, let's do it.

[maniacal laughter]

[both] Villain tip number five!

Be like Odd Squad!

[maniacal laughter]

So, there you have it, villains.

We'll make a copy of this video

so you can stop Odd Squad from stopping you.

[maniacal laughter]

I have to admit, any villain watching that video

would be a lot harder to catch.

Good thing they only made one copy.

What do you think, agent?

Can you destroy this for me?

[llama] Not a problem.
