Dragon Drama! [meowing]

[giggling]

[grunts] Twenty-two...

[sighs] How many times was I gonna jump?

- Twenty-five! - i¡Qué padre!

[excited meowing] [Tía]: i¡Hola!

Guess what, niños?

My friend called to ask if I'd watch her pet

for a few days while she's out of town.

A pet?

What did you say?

I said...

Yes!

- i¡OÓrale! - Cool!

What kind of pet is it, Tía?

It is a...

bearded dragon!

[both]: A bearded dragon?

[confused meow]

[phone ringing]

[gasps] That's my friend!

I'll be back soon with the dragon!

Hello? Sí, I'm on my way!

Wowmazing, Javi.

There's gonna be a dragon living in your house!

Rosie's Rule:

If your primo won't do the hooray dance,

something is very wrong.

- What's the matter? - It's just that...

having a pet dragon at our house

is a little... scary.

I guess it could be scary.

But it could also be supertastical!

Don't you wonder what it would be like

to have a dragon as a pet?

I've gotta know!

♪ And I just can't let it go

What would a pet dragon be like? Maybe...

♪ We'll take a dragon ride to Jupiter and back ♪

♪ Then feed it veggie meatballs for an energy snack ♪

♪ Play fetch in the park, go to dragon school ♪

♪ And give it a bubble bath in a slime pool ♪

[giggling]

Dragon bubble bath...

See, Javi? Totally not scary.

But Rosie...

What if the dragon has long pointy teeth,

and breathes fire... [nervous meow]

And has giant feet to stomp on my house!

[startled meow]

Okay that's a little scary.

Vamos, Javi. You can stay at my house

until the stompy dragon is gone.

[scared meow]

¿Ya ves? We'll be nice and safe here.

I guess you're right.

[gasps] Unless the dragon

stomps on my house too!

Nowhere is safe from that dragon!

Espera, Javi.

We'll just think like a stompy dragon

and figure out how to protect both of our houses!

[Rosie]: Stomp, stomp! Hmm...

- Oh! - Stomp, stomp!

[both]: Hmm...

Whatcha doing, kids?

We're stomping and thinking.

And thinking and stomping.

Well, stomp and think away!

I'm just reading this book about castles.

I'm learning so much information!

[chuckles] Like what?

See this? That's a lookout tower.

It's where villagers would look out for danger.

I'm Knight Mom,

looking out for danger from my tall tower!

Do you see anything, Knight Mom?!

Hmm... Nope. No danger.

[giggling]

Wait a secamadoodle!

Maybe we can build a tower

and look out for the stompy dragon!

Then we'll know when it's coming!

I'll get the blocks.

[Rosie]: Aquí. And another one there.

i¡OÓrale! Now we have a tower to look out

for the stompy dragon!

Pero...

[grunting] I can't see anything!

It's too tall.

Right...

Rosie's Rule:

If you make a lookout tower,

make sure you can look out of it!

[gasps] Espera.

Windows!

Perfecto.

[meowing]

[both]: Ahh!

We're gonna need another way to keep away the stompy dragon.

- i¡Hola! - Hi, Knight Mom!

Oh, hello!

What brings back my royal subjects?

Does your book say anything else about castles?

Maybe something about keeping away dragons?

With beards?

Dragons with beards?

I don't think so...

Ah! But it does say that many castles had moats

that went all around the castle to protect it.

[gasps] We can build a moat

to keep out the dragon!

- Thanks, Knight Mom! - Bye!

Your Royal Knight bids thee farewell!

[grunting]

Building a moat... is a lot of work!

Ah... Well, good news, Javi!

Our moat is done!

I thought a moat goes all around the castle?

I mean, house.

This is just the first part.

Once we're done, it's gonna be the best moat ever!

Yeah! The dragon will never get across! Ever!

[meowing]

Unless the dragon can jump.

How are we gonna keep the stompy jumpy dragon away now?

Hmm...

[both]: We need to call Abuela.

[chiming]

[Rosie and Javi]: i¡Hola, Abuela!

i¡Hola, mis niños!

I'm making some jamoncillo for my special guest...

Da-da-da-da! Vero!

i¡Hola niños!

i¡Hola Vero!

[Abuela]: ¿Qué pasa?

Tía's bringing home a guest too.

It's a pet.

With a beard!

A beard?!

[Javi]: Sí. And we're kind of scared it's gonna

stomp on our houses.

Oh, how unusual.

Miren, niños, maybe you can welcome your guest

with a treat too.

Then it won't stomp on your houses.

No stomping!

i¡Adiós, granitos de arroz!

[both]: i¡Ciao, bacalao!

Let's make a treat for the dragon!

A dee-yummy dragon treat!

[Javi]: I hope the dragon likes it.

Oh, he'll love it.

And then he will be so nice and won't stomp on our house!

Uh, not yet.

Because look!

Iggy! Did you eat our treat?!

Ugh! But that was for the dragon!

[horn honking]

Oh! Sounds like Tía's home.

[gasps] Mamá's home.

That means the dragon is here!

But we're not ready! Ugh!

We tried to build a tower, and a moat,

and make a treat, but Iggy ate it--

And now the dragon is here and...

I need to flop.

Me too!

Breathe in... [inhaling]

Breathe out... [exhaling]

Wiggle about.

Now I'm ready to figure this out.

Vamos a ver!

Javi? There's only one thing left to do.

We'll be safe from the dragon under here!

I can only hide until dinnertime.

What will we do about the bearded dragon then?

I don't know.

Wait a dragon-madoodle!

We learned all about castles from Mom's castle book.

Maybe she has a book about bearded dragons too!

[meowing]

[giggling]

And now Knight Mom is going to check... her email!

- Hi, Mom. - Oh! Hi again.

Can you help us find a book?

Of course! What kind of book are you looking for?

A book about bearded dragons!

Well, a bearded dragon is a pet, so let's start there.

[Rosie]: Book about rocks...

[Javi]: Here's a book about pets!

There you go! Now we can look through the book

for the bearded dragon section.

- Hmm... - Cats, dogs...

Ah-ha. Presenting...

That's a bearded dragon?!

[Mom]: Uh-huh. It's a type of lizard.

[Javi]: But, but... it's so cute!

And so little!

I bet it could fit in my hand!

[gasps] It's eating a sweet potato!

So that's what they like to eat!

[Tía]: Javi, Rosie! I'm back!

[gasps] Let's go meet that cutie-wootie

- Hi, Talulah! -Aww!

We know lots about you already,

'cause we learned about bearded dragons in a book.

And we found out you're not scary at all.

Now our hooray dance?

You can learn about lots of things from books.

Like bearded dragons aren't dragons at all!

They're lizards!

[Javi gasps] It does have a beard!

[laughing]

Rosie's Lucky Charm.

Ah...

[Rosie]: Okay Gatita.

¿Lápiz gigante? [meowing]

Hair clip? [meowing]

Rubber hippo bath toy? [excited meowing]

[meowing]

[sighs] What am I going to do, Gatita?

I need something for show-and-tell

at the children's museum today.

But I can't find anything to bring.

[excited meowing]

Aw, I wish I could bring you, Gatita.

But you can't bring cats to the museum.

[meowing]

Sígueme. Let's keep looking!

Maybe there's something for show-and-tell... aquí!

- Hey! - Ah!

Rosie's Rule:

Sometimes when you're looking for something

for show-and-tell, you find your Papá instead!

[Papá]: ¿Qué pasa, calabaza?

Nada empanada.

Hmm... What are you doing?

I'm trying to fix this lawn mower. But so far...

[meowing] ...no luck.

I'm still looking for something for show-and-tell.

No luck for me either.

Maybe we'll both find some luck soon , campeona.

[meowing]

[gasps]

[Rosie]: Wow!

Interesante!

It's so different. And colorful.

And coolamadoodle! But what is it?

[lawn mower starts]

i¡Eso! It's finally working!

Mija, I think you brought me good luck!

[laughing]

[gasps] More good luck!

Gatita! I've been looking for my stripey sock everywhere!

See? [meowing]

I guess I brought me luck too!

Wait a secamadoodle!

Gatita. Right after we found this,

lucky things started happening.

[gasps]

I think this is a lucky charm! [meowing]

I have the best thing for show-and-tell ever!

Oh yeah! It's a charm!

And it's lucky! Oh yeah!

[tuba blaring] Uh-oh!

Sounds like Crystal's having tuba trouble.

i¡Ven Gatita!

[off-key melody]

Ugh!

Sorry, Rosie. Sorry, Gatita.

I've been practicing my tuba all morning,

but I just can't get this part right!

Well, guess what?!

Today is your lucky day! 'Cause I have...

a lucky charm!

A lucky charm, huh? How does it work?

It's easy!

First you close your eyes.

Uh-huh.

Then you spin around.

Okay...

Then you do ten jumping jacks.

Touch your toes, clap in a circle...

[clapping]

Touch your toes again, quack like a duck...

- Quack! Quack! - Rosie.

Or I guess I can just hold it up and see what happens.

I guess I can give it a try.

[playing flatly]

[bright melody]

Whoa! I got it!

Maybe that is a lucky charm.

Iggy wanna try!

Veamos, Iggy. What lucky thing do you want to happen?

Uh... Iggy want wata-melon!

Watermelon? Uh-oh.

I don't think we have any watermelon.

[Mom]: Guess who found this watermelon on sale

at the market today! I did!

Rosie's Rule:

Sometimes, a lucky charm can make a watermelon appear!

I've gotta show this to Abuela!

[chiming]

I'm outside el Museo de Arte Popular,

but there are so many people,

I'm worried I won't get a ticket!

Maybe my lucky charm can help you!

Welcome to the children's museum!

I'm the museum director, Mrs. Liu.

Otherwise known as Jun and Quinn's mom.

[giggling]

- Hi, Mom! - Hi, Mom!

- Hi, Mrs. Liu! - Hi, Mrs. Liu!

Who would like to share their show-and-tell first?

Ooh! Me! I would!

Go ahead, Javi.

I brought... a shark tooth!

[all]: Whoa!

And it's from a real shark's mouth!

[Mrs. Liu]: That's wonderful!

You can learn all about sharks and shark teeth

if you follow me into...

our ocean exhibit!

[gasps] Whoa!

Look at that!

[gasps] Is that a real life shark?

It sure is!

Baby sharks are born with a full set of teeth!

[Javi]: i¡OÓrale!

I brought a planet from outer space!

It's in my pocket.

Well, that's new information!

How did you fit a planet in your pocket?!

'Cause it's a toy planet.

Saturn! See all of its rings?

- Yeah! - I see them!

And I brought Mars!

Look, it's red!

in our space exhibit!

- Yay! - Wow!

Saturn, the planet with rings made of ice!

Rings of ice? So cold!

[giggling]

Alright, Rosie. It's your turn.

Yay!

For show-and-tell, I brought...

a lucky charm!

- Whoa! - A lucky charm?

How does it work?

You just hold it, and something lucky will happen.

[gasps] i¡Qué padre!

[gasps] My shark tooth!

That wasn't very lucky.

Ooh, let me try. [giggling]

Oof! [gasps]

That's not lucky at all!

Here, you take the charm.

- No, you take it! - You take it!

[Quinn]: No, you take it! [Jun]: You take it!

[Quinn]: No, you take it!

I'll take it.

Rosie? I don't think that's a lucky charm,

'cause we all had bad luck.

I'm sorry, everyone.

I thought I had a wowmazing lucky charm,

and now it's not being lucky at all and...

I need to flop.

Wiggle about.

Now I'm ready to figure this out!

Too bad there isn't a lucky charm section at the museum.

Oh. But there is a section I think might help you

[Mrs. Liu]: Welcome to our newest exhibit:

The land of old toys!

- Cool! - Old toys?

That's right.

These toys are from many years ago,

when your grandparents were kids!

- Try them out! - Yay!

[mimics car engine]

[gasps]

Mom, look!

That looks just like my lucky charm!

Hey, you're right, it does.

But what is it?

[chuckles] [Mrs. Liu]: It's a kaleidoscope.

That's a toy you look through and see colorful patterns.

And I think that's what you have too.

[Mom]: Rosie, you found an old toy in our backyard!

Mama macaroni! I found a supertastical kaleidoscope!

And I learned about it at the museum!

We learned about lots of stuff at the museum!

[Javi]: I wish I could be brave like the Purple Knight.
