YOO HOO? Hello?

Carmen: Hi, Carmen here, with a story from Brazil.

Once there was a boy who lived alone with his berimbau,

a musical instrument.

He played the sweetest music in the world,

But he was so lonely,

he went searching for other people to live with.

The boy went to a Rancher to offer help with his cattle.

But the cattle-men said, "Forget it!"

The Rancher was so grumpy,

he never said yes to anything.

He had never smiled in his whole life.

The boy walked along, playing sweet, sad music.

To his surprise, the cattle began to dance.

Some sleeping monkeys woke up and danced along too!

A herd of deer could not resist.

The anteater, wild cat, and jaguar too.

The group danced on until they came to the Rancher's home.

Suddenly, the grumpy rancher

stormed outside to put a stop to all this racket right now!

But the Rancher stopped and stared.

He began to giggle, and pretty soon

he was laughing so hard,

he fell down on the ground.

He told the boy, "I promised long, long ago,

that if anyone ever made me laugh,

I would share all I have with him."

From then on, the boy lived happily at the ranch

and shared his joyful music with all the land.

The End.
