We live in a big, beautiful world.

I'm Leo.

I'm Andy.

And I'm Carmen.

Our parents work in a circus that travels

all around the world and we travel with them.

Andy: So we never know where in the world we will end up next.

(train whistling)

Carmen: But wherever we go, we know that

Luna the Moon will be there with us.

Chorus: ♪ Traveling the world as a trio ♪

Leo: Monster Park.

♪ (scary music) ♪

TV Announcer: "The Soup That Turned Cold"

Leo: These movies are scary, hey Wrinkles?

Wrinkles: (snoring)

Leo: You're a very loud snorer, Wrinkles.

Matteo: ROOOOAAAAAR!

Leo: W--what was that? Did you hear that, Wrinkles?

Uh...Wrinkles?

Leo: Wrinkles!

Matteo: Bleeeegh!

Leo: Aaaahhh! Wrinkles! Save me!

Andy: Whoa, whoa, whoa... Take it easy, Leo!

Carmen: This is just our new friend Matteo,

we were playing monsters and scaring each other for fun!

Matteo: Yeah, sorry, my friend...

I didn't mean to scare you.

Well... I kinda did. Heh-heh.

Leo: Why would you want to be scary?

Matteo: Because it's awesome! I love spooky things!

I'm talkin' monsters, ghosts,

creepy forests, ham sandwiches...

Andy: Eeehhh...

Hey, I like ham sandwiches.

Leo: Well, I hope there aren't too many of those things in...

wherever we are today.

Andy: Um... yeah. Where exactly are we?

Magic Globe: Boo! Leo: Aaah!

Andy: Woah! Surprise Magic Globe.

I did not see that coming!

Magic Globe: (giggles) I couldn't help myself,

I wanted to get in on some of that spooky action too!

And, to answer your question, today,

you just so happen to be...

...in Rome!

The capital city of the country of Italy,

where most people speak the language of Italian!

Rome is home to many cultural and historical places

that attract visitors from all over the world.

Like the Parco dei Mostri!

Built over five hundred years ago,

it's a park with stone monster sculptures of all kinds!

Leo: Uh...Parco dei...what-y?

Matteo: Parco dei Mostri!

That's Italian for monster park!

I love that place!

I even know all the statues by name!

Magic Globe: Well, it's called Monster Park,

but it has a little bit of everything, from monsters,

to dragons, to a tortoise just like you, Wrinkles...

only huge!

Wrinkles: (wheeze)

Magic Globe: It's a great, spooky place to spend the day!

Have fun, kids!

Andy: Monsters and dragons?

We should totaly go there!

Leo: Well, I do want to see the big tortoise,

and I think Wrinkles would like it too.

Carmen: Let's get going then!

All: Yay, monster park!

Matteo: One problem.

It's...kind of far away and none of us can drive.

Leo: Oh...

Luna: Bleaaarrrraaaahhhhh!

Oh, hi kids!

Carmen: ♪ Luna come and play. ♪

Leo: ♪ Luna's here, whaddo ya say? ♪

Andy: ♪ Luna bright as day! ♪

Carmen/Andy/Leo: ♪ Show us the world lead the way. ♪

Matteo: Wow! Spooky- awesome entrance, Luna!

Luna: Thanks, Matteo!

Carmen: We were just talking about going to Monster Park.

Luna: (gasp) I love that place!

We should totally go!

Andy: But how do we get there?

Luna: Easy! We'll just take...

the Coach of Doom!

(lightning crashes)

Andy: That sounds spooky-cool!

How do we catch that?

Luna: Easy! I have an app.

(beep)

Climb aboard!

To Monster Park!

♪ (spooky music) ♪

Bye, Federico!

Matteo: Luna the Moon, new friends,

my dear Wrinkles the tortoise...

Welcome...to Monster Park!

♪ (spooky music) ♪

Andy: (gasp) This is even more monster-y than I had imagined!

Carmen: Wow, you're right, Andy.

This place is creepy-cool!

Leo: Oh, it's monster-y all right.

I hope we can find the...

(gasp) that giant tortoise!

Wrinkles! It's like a big stone version of you!

Wrinkles: (wheeze)

Carmen: Come on Leo! Let's start exploring the park!

Leo: Coming! You can stay with

the big tortoise if you want, Wrinkles.

I think Wrinkles really likes that big tortoise.

Right, Wrinkles?

Uh...Wrinkles?

Wrinkles!?

Andy: Where'd he go?

Leo: He's...(sniff) goooone!

Luna: Don't worry Leo! I'm sure he's around here somewhere...

Matteo: Yeah, I'll help you look.

Nobody knows this place better than me.

Leo: Let's go! Wrinkles must be scared and confused!

Matteo: Let's see if he's over here by Drago.

Fun fact: Drago means Dragon in Italian!

Leo: Wrinkles... you over here, buddy?

Matteo: Are you hiding inside Proteo Glauco, Wrinkles?

Carmen: I still can't see him.

Matteo: Whadda you say Nettuno?

Have you seen a wrinkly tortoise around here?

Andy: He's not here either!

Leo: Oh! We'll never find him!

Matteo: Don't worry, Leo, we're only just getting started.

This place is huge.

It's easy for a little tortoise to get lost.

We'll find him...

as long as you don't mind searching through...

monsters!

(howling) Leo: M-monsters?

(howling)

Matteo: ♪ Searching high, searching low, ♪

♪ Monsters everywhere we go ♪

♪ What is lurking? ♪

♪ Who can know? ♪

♪ When you're lost in Monster Park ♪

♪ Something's rumbling underground ♪

Ahh It's dark now! Very dark!

Hey, guys... did you see where the sun went??

Andy: Uh... down?

Carmen: Umm...

yeah, it looks like the sun went down.

Leo: But if the sun went down...

shouldn't Luna be in the sky?

Andy: Yeah... Where is Luna??

Andy/Carmen/Leo: Luna!!

Leo: No Wrinkles... and now no Luna?!

Carmen: While we're lost in Monster Park?!

Carmen/Andy/Leo: (whimpering) Carmen: Hold on guys.

We've lost track of Luna before, but we always find her.

Matteo knows his way around here

and there's no way he is afraid of the dark!

Right Matteo?

Matteo?

Matteo: What's up???

Carmen: Now Luna is missing too!

We have to keep searching, Matteo!

Andy: And we need your help!

Leo: You know your way around Parco dei Mostri in the dark.

Matteo: Oh, right, sure...

the dark...

no big deal...

As your official Parco Dei Mostri guide,

I think it's probably best we uh...

Eh-hem...

Run for our lives!

(monster ROAR) All: Aahh!!

Andy: Monsters! Ahh!!

Matteo: Ahhhh!!

Carmen: Aaah!!

Carmen/Andy/Matteo: Ahhh! Leo: Everybody calm down!!

I know this is pretty scary,

but we need to find our friends!

And there's no such thing as monsters, right?

(monster ROAR)

All: Wahh?

(monster ROAR)

Matteo: Yep, like I said, time to go!

Leo: Go? What if Wrinkles is over there?

Carmen: Be careful, Leo!

♪ (suspenseful music) ♪

Leo: Wrinkles?

Luna: Aaaaaagh.... help!!

Is that you, Leo?

Leo: Aaaah, Luna's been eaten by a monster!

Luna: No, Leo, I'm not eaten, just stuck!

Leo: Oh.

(plop)

Luna: Thanks Leo!

Leo: I'm so glad we found you!

Carmen: Luna, how did you get stuck in that monster's mouth?

Luna: I was just looking for Wrinkles.

Any sign of him?

Leo: No and I'm worried!

Luna: I know, Leo. But Wrinkles is a grownup tortoise.

He's probably on his way back to the Circo!

In fact, I think we should head there too.

Your parents must be getting worried about you.

Leo: Maybe you're right, Luna.

Let's go home.

Luna: Come on, guys. I'll take you back to the Circo.

Leo: I hope you're okay Wrinkles

(sniff) wherever you are...

(monster ROAR)

Matteo: It's that monster, again!

Leo: I have to check it out!

Carmen: Don't go in there, Leo!

♪ (suspenseful music) ♪

(monster ROAR)

Leo: (Gulp)

Hello? Anybody...home?

Leo: Wahhhh!!!

Ah, ow. Auu...

Wahhhh!

(low groaning)

(strange groaning roar)

Leo: Wahhh!

Wait a second...I think I know that sound.

(strange groaning roar)

Leo: (Gasp) Wrinkles: (snoring)

Leo: Wrinkles! Wrinkles: (snoring)

I was so worried about you, buddy!

Luna: Hey, Leo!

Are you okay in there!!

Leo: Sure am! I found Wrinkles!

All: Yay!

Carmen: Wrinkles! Hey, buddy!

Andy: Did he defeat the giant monster!

Leo: There was no monster.

The sculpture's huge mouth just made Wrinkles' snores

sound loud and echoey!

Andy: Wow!

So, he's not a big scary monster after all!

Orcus: No, I'm actually quite nice once you get to know me.

Andy: I'm gonna pretend that didn't happen.

Luna: C'mon guys, let's head home.

I'm late for work!

Kids: Roarrr! Raaaarrrr!

Ham sandwiches!

Hahahaha!

Ooof!

Luna: How ya doin' down there, guys?

Leo: Oh, hey Luna!

Luna: Did you have a good time in Monster Park today Leo?

Leo: I sure did!

Monster Park was cool,

even if it was a little spooky.

Luna: Yeah, the statues might look spooky,

but you were right,

monsters aren't real.

Leo: Yeah, I know.

But, Luna, I don't want our time in Rome, Italy to end!

Luna: There's always more to see

when we visit places around the world, Leo.

But remember, there's always tomorrow.

Salami Strong: Hi, it's Salami Strong.

This is a little song I made up about my great hero,

Leonardo Da Vinci.

♪ You say that someone's smarter ♪

♪ But you never will convince me ♪

Leo: Meet the Strongs

Leo: Mathilda! Lunchtime!

Okay, little sister, get ready for some yummy...

(squishy sound) ...um... bean, thingy.

Andy: Yeah, the food really takes a dive

when your dad isn't in the kitchen.

The shrews need a lot more cooking lessons.

Carmen: Well, I think it's nice that your parents

have the day off to go sightseeing.

Leo: Yeah, too bad it means I get baby duty.

Okay, Mathilda, here comes the airplane...

(airplane sound)

There... isn't that yummy?

(splat)

(laughter)

Leo: And...messy Mathilda strikes again.

Mathilda: (baby sounds)

Carmen: (laughs) Leo, don't be so hard on your little sister.

Leo: I just need a break, ya know.

Carmen: Maybe, there's a special way to take a break here in...

Where are we today, Magic Globe?

Magic Globe: Hey, kids! Today, we're in Rome...

The historic capital city of the country of...Italy!

There are many wonderful parts of Roman life,

but nothing comes close to the importance of

food and family in Italian culture.

Mealtimes are so loved here,

there is even a very special one in the middle of the day.

It's called...

Salami: Pausa! Sorry to interrupt, Magic Globe.

Magic Globe: Oh, by all means, be my guest.

Salami: Pausa is simply my favorite part of the day.

Carmen: What else can you tell us about "pausa", Salami?

Salami: Well, it's like lunch, but so much more.

Families take a break in the middle of the day

to share a homecooked meal.

I always make time for pausa with my family

when we are in my hometown!

Andy: Whoa! Rome is your home town?

Salami: Indeed! Where my mother and two sorelle live.

Carmen: What's sorelle?

Salami: Sorella is Italian for sister.

Sorrelle means more than one.

In this case, I have two sisters.

Leo: Hold on, did you say you have two sisters?

Salami: That I do!

Leo: Huh, a pausa sounds...peaceful.

Salami: Well, yes it's relaxing and...

Leo: Eeeh! Take me with you...

Please!

Salami: Sure, Leo!

Andy: Go for it, Leo.

Carmen and I can watch Mathilda for you!

Leo: Really?

Salami: Wonderful!

Luna and I were just on our way there, right now.

Andy: Wait! Luna is here?

Salami: She's just over there getting a snack for the road.

Luna: Hey, everyone!

Carmen: ♪ Luna come and play ♪

Leo: ♪ Luna's here whadd'ya say! ♪

Andy: ♪ Luna, bright as day! ♪

Carmen/Leo/Andy: ♪ Show us the world, lead the way! ♪

Luna: Hey, Salami, you ready to go to your family's pausa?

Salami: Sure am!

Luna: Thank you for inviting me!

Are you guys coming too?

Carmen: Leo is.

Andy and I are going to stay and watch Mathilda,

so he can take a break.

Luna: Aw, that's nice of you!

Have fun today, Andy and Carmen!

Leo: All right, Mathilda, be good.

(splat) (giggle)

'kay, bye.

Mathilda: (whimpering)

Salami: Welcome, to Casa di Strong!

Step on in, make yourselves at home!

Maaammmaaaa!

Your baby boy, he is home!

Leo: Uh... baby boy?

Salami: Why, yes, Leo, child.

Have I never mentioned that I'm the youngest of three?

Leo: No.

Salami: Then allow me to introduce my two older sorelle!

Capicola!

Capicola: Baby brother!

Salami: And Pancetta!

Pancetta: Sloppy Salami!

Leo: Hey, that's like "Messy Mathilda"!

Salami: Heh-heh, yes... my sisters, always poking fun.

Heh-heh.

Mama Mortadella: Scusate, out of the way!

Let me see my little baby boy!

Salami: And this is my Mama Mortadella.

Leo: Hey, wait a minute.

Mortadella, Capicola...

Pancetta... Those are all deli meats.

You're named after deli meats?

Salami: Why of course!

My family has owned a deli here in Rome for many years.

Mamma, sisters.

Luna, and Leo are going to be joining us for pausa today.

Mama Mortadella: Good-good!

Capicola: So, Salami, are you going to show us

some of your moves?

Or are you going to break your toe like last time?

Salami: Haha, good one,

poking fun at my pain and anguish.

Pancetta: What did you call it?

The Toe of Jelly?

Salami: (sigh) No!

It is the Toe of Steel, and you would know that

if you took anything I did seriously.

Capicola: Oh, Salami, we did think it was serious...

Pancetta/Capicola: ...seriously funny!

(laughs)

Salami: You want to see the moves?

I'll show you the moves!

I shall lift this huge table with but one tiny toe!

Stand back and prepare yourselves for....

Salami: The toe of steeeel!

(deep breath)

(bang)

(wobble, wobble) (pop)

(crash)

Oooh! Ow ow ow!

Capicola: Ahh,hahahaha! The Toe of Jelly strikes again!

Pancetta/Capicola: (Laughing) Salami: Waaahh!

Luna: Oh boy.

Mama Mortadella: Pancetta! Capicola!

(grumbling)

Pancetta/Capicola: Uh-oh.

Leo: This doesn't seem like a peaceful pausa at all, Luna!

Luna: Yeah, families aren't always perfect Leo.

Leo: I sure hope Salami's okay.

Maybe I should go check on him.

Luna: Good idea, Leo.

Salami: (crying)

(loud knocking)

Leo: Salami?

Salami: Be gone with you! (crying)

Leo: But... it's just me Leo.

Salami: Ah yes...

Hello Leo.

Leo: I'm sorry your sisters were so mean to you.

I guess it's just always hard being a brother.

Salami: Yes, families are never perfect Leo.

For you see, no matter how big and strong you become,

when you're the youngest,

you can still feel so very small.

♪ (dramatic music) ♪

Salami: ♪ When I was a boy right here in Rome... ♪

♪ I had a very happy childhood home... ♪

♪ My days were filled with song... ♪

♪ Our family was strong ♪

♪ BUT! ♪

♪ My sisters both ♪

♪ <span> took great delight ♪

♪ In teasing me, ♪

♪ so we would fight! ♪

♪ They took my toy... ♪

♪ They pulled my hair... ♪

♪ I always felt it wasn't fair! ♪

♪ They're in my room... ♪

♪ They ate my snack... ♪

♪ And then they planned ♪

♪ a sneak att*ck. ♪

♪ I'm always last... ♪

♪ They're always first... ♪

♪ The situation was the worst ♪

♪ That's how things were ♪

♪ in my family ♪

♪ Old fashioned sibling ♪

♪ rivalry... ♪

(thud)

Leo: Wow, Salami, that was so sad...

I knew being a big brother is hard sometimes,

but being a little brother or sister sounds even harder!

Have you ever just tried telling them how you feel?

Salami: Ugh? Tell them how I...

feel?

Yes! You mean... confront my sisters?

Make them stop teasing me, using my

super Salami strength!

Leo: Uh...well, maybe not super Salami strength...

Salami: You're right Leo!

Today I squash my sisters' hurtful words like a meatball!

Leo: Squash?

Meatball?

No Salami!

No meatball squashing!

Salami: Capicola! Pancetta!

I will stand for your teasing no longer!

This ends today!

You know what you both are?

You are...!

YOU ARE...!!

Pancetta/Capicola: We're sorry.

Salami: You're... wha?

Pancetta: We're sorry Salami.

Salami: Sorry?

Pancetta: We realize now, that our teasing

can get out of hand sometimes, little brother.

Capicola: We never wanted to hurt your feelings!

Pancetta: And we didn't mean to ruin this lovely Pausa.

Capicola: Also Momma Mortadella gave us a time out.

Mama Mortadella: Hmmph.

Salami: (Sigh) I understand, sisters.

Not to worry, I love you too.

Luna: Awwww!

Leo: What!?! But, but...

Salami, you can forgive them just like that?

Salami: Of course, Leo! This happens all the time.

My sisters tease me too much,

and I get a little over-dramatic.

Capicola: You didn't sing opera again did you?

Salami: No!

...Uh, maybe.

I'm sorry I broke the table everybody!

Luna: What do you say we finish this pausa back at the circo?

There are plenty of unbroken tables there.

Carmen: This Italian food sure is delicious!

Luna: Salami's Mom is such a great cook!

Pancetta: We got to have our pausa after all!

Salami: And I got to spend time with my family!

Mathilda: (laughing)

Leo: Okay, Mathilda, let's try this again.

Here comes the airplane!

Prepare for impact!

(chomp)

Look! She ate it nicely!

I'm so proud of my baby...

(splat)

Aww... I love you too, messy Mathilda.

Mathilda: (giggling)

Leo: Pretty funny, eh, Luna?

...Luna?

Luna: OWT HEERM REO!

Leo: Luna! There you are.

Luna: (gulp) Did you have a good time in Rome today, Leo?

Leo: Yeah, the Italian tradition of pausa is awesome!

But Salami's family surprised me.

I thought all other brothers and sisters got along

except Mathilda and me.

Today I found out that, no matter what, it's important

to share a delicious meal with your family.

Luna: Most families get along most of the time, Leo,

but nobody's perfect.

What's important is love!

Leo: And food!

Luna: Yes, Leo! And food!

Leo: But, Luna, it seems like

there must be more to explore in Rome, Italy!

Luna: Of course there is Leo!

But I forget, what do I always say?

Leo: There's always tomorrow!

Leo/Luna: (Laughing)
