Pinkalicious (voiceover): it's the first day of summer,

And that means peter, mommy and daddy and I

Are going to mr. Swizzle's ice cream shop

For swizzle summer sundaes!

Hi, mr. And mrs. Plum!

Hi! Hi!

Hello, pinkertons-- cha-cha-cha!

Getting sundaes? Cha-cha-cha!

(Giggling): yes!

Our first swizzle summer sundaes of the year!

I can't wait!

What are you doing?

We're cha-cha-ing our way to cha-cha class.

What's cha-cha?

The cha-cha is a dance from cuba

With a special rhythm that goes like this--

Hi, pinkertons.

Oh, I'm so sorry, the shop is closed.

(Gasping): closed?

Yes, I'm afraid my blender just broke,

And I need it to make my swizzle milkshakes.

I have to go home and find my spare blender.

But it's the first day of summer, mr. Swizzle.

Everyone in pinkville will be coming in

For their swizzle summer sundaes.

And swizzle milkshakes.

Can't have an ice cream store without milkshakes.

I'm sorry to disappoint you,

But I can't leave the store unattended.

Wait, wait, wait, you mean we're not

Going to have swizzle summer sundaes?

Well, I'm the only one who knows how to make them.

What if you show us how to make them, mr. Swizzle?

Then we'll run the shop while you go get your blender!

Sure we will!

It'll be so much fun!

Here you go.

Put these on and come behind the counter.

First, we need someone

To take the orders from customers.

Oh, I can do that.

Magnificent!

Then, we need someone to scoop the ice cream.

I can do that.

Bravo!

Next-- and this is a big job--

Someone needs to put on all the sundae toppings.

(Gasps) me, me!

That's a pinkaperfect job for me.

Excellent, pinkalicious.

The toppings are the secret

To my famous swizzle summer sundae.

First, you drizzle

Swizzle syrup around the scoop like this.

Next, you add a spoonful of swizzle sprinkles.

Now, we add whipped cream.

Just a dollop.

And the last ingredient is my swizzle crunch.

Whoa.

That's a lot to remember.

You can do it, pinkalicious.

You just have to find your rhythm!

Um, what's my job, mr. Swizzle?

You, peter, have the super-swizzle job

Of putting a cherry on top of each sundae.

Ooh!

Go ahead, try it.

Mmm!

Now, I must go find my blender.

(Giggles)

Excuse me, pinkalicious? I believe you forgot the syrup.

(Gasping): oh!

I can fix that, mr. Crunk.

(Bottle spurts air)

I'm so sorry, mr. Crunk!

It's okay, pinkalicious.

No harm done.

Is everything okay, pinkalicious?

No, daddy, it's terrible.

There's so many sundaes to make, I can't keep up.

And I now I've ruined them all

And made a big mess.

I even squirted mr. Crunk.

This isn't what I ordered. This isn't the way mr. Swizzle does it.

Where's the whipped cream? Mine has no toppings.

Could you give us a minute, please, everybody?

Hey, pinkalicious.

It's okay.

Let's just take a breath.

(Inhales, exhales)

Thanks, daddy.

But there are so many customers.

I'm trying to make the sundaes so fast,

I keep making mistakes.

You're new at this, pinkalicious.

Don't worry, you'll find your rhythm.

That's just what mr. Swizzle said.

(Bell jingles)

I can use the cha-cha rhythm to help me make sundaes.

This looks just like mr. Swizzle's sundaes.

Wow, it actually does.

(Gasps) the cha-cha's working.

The rhythm makes it so much easier to make sundaes.

This is amazing. Wow, delicious.

We couldn't have done it without the cha-cha.

This is so good, I'm going to name it

After you, pinkalicious, and your dance.

May I present the cha-cha-licious sundae!

(Cheering)

Pinkalicious (voiceover): my cha-cha sundaes came out sweet

Once I used the cha-cha b*at.

Kids: that's artalicious!

My name's elena, and today me and my friends

Are going to be playing with latin musical instruments.

(Maracas shaking)

(Drumming)

Any music that comes from latin america.

(Guiro scraping)

Music has always just been there

In my family.

Latin music is like a type of music that's...

It has, like, lots of rhythm.

(All playing instruments)

What are those?

These are castanets.

This is a higher sound.

(Clicking)

This drum is called a conga.

And there's a little bit high,

And this one is very deep.

It sounds like an elephant stomping down.

(Conga drum beats)

Girl: hey everybody,

We should try to play a cha-cha.

<Span>me gusta!</Span>

My life is just music, and it's always been there

And it always will be.

All: yay!

Pinkalicious: "show and smell."

Pinkalicious (voiceover): today is show and tell at school

And I need to figure out what to bring.

Hmm...

Oh, you're right, henrietta.

I brought you last time!

I can't bring you again.

(Sniffs) mmm.

What is that wonderful smell?

(Sniffing)

Do you smell that, peter?

What is it?

I don't know. (Sniffs)

Come on, let's follow our noses.

(Bubbling)

What is that?

(Laughing): it's my new invention.

The perfume-a-matic.

The perfume-a-matic?

Yes!

It can turn just about anything into perfume.

That's amazing, mommy.

I'll say.

Uh... What's perfume?

It's something people wear that smells nice,

Like flowers...

Or the beach?

Or pizza?

(Laughing): why not?

Everyone likes different smells.

(Sighs)

I love the smell of flowers,

So I'm making a perfume out of them.

See?

I just put the flowers in here--

And out comes the perfume down here.

Pinkalicious: whoa!

That's perfume-ariffic!

(Sniffs)

Mmm, that makes me feel wonderful!

Smell.

(Sniffs)

What should we call it?

Ooh, how about gardentastic?

'Cause it smells like our flower garden.

(Sniffing): and so do you.

(Laughing): right.

That's the whole idea.

Making perfume is an art.

It's like painting a picture for your nose.

(Giggling)

Wait. Do you think I could

Make perfume that would smell like pink?

You could try.

Hmm.

I wonder what pink smells like.

Mommy, could I try putting all kinds of pink things

Into the perfume-a-matic?

Of course.

You have some time before school.

(Gasps) that reminds me--

I better go make your lunches.

Come on, peter.

Let's find some pink things.

♪ Some chewy bubble gum ♪

♪ A pinch of pink sparkles, a sweet rose in bloom ♪

(Sneezes)

Well, there's only one way to find out, peter.

And now for some stripy perfume.

♪ A little striped shrimp ♪ shrimp?

♪ Some stripy blue cheese ♪ cheese?

♪ My old striped socks ♪

♪ You wore them quite a lot ♪

(Dripping)

(Sniffs) eww!

I never knew stripes would smell so, so...

Stinky? Eww!

But I kind of like it.

It makes me feel super happy.

Well, mommy did say everybody likes different smells.

But you better put a top on that, fast.

Before it stinks up mommy's workshop.

Too late.

Maybe my pinka-perfume will help.

(Sniffs) mmm, that's better.

I'm going to bring my pinka-perfume

To school for show and tell.

You mean show and smell.

(Giggling)

I'm going to bring my stripy perfume, too.

Frida will love it.

She likes stripes.

Mom: kids, the bus is here!

I'll turn off the perfume-a-matic, peter.

You grab the perfume bottles.

I made it myself.

I mixed together all kinds of pink things

So everyone can think of pink when they smell it.

Who wants to try it?

(Sniffing)

Um, pinka-perfume smells horrible.

I don't think it smells so bad.

(Sniffs) oh, yes, it does!

So bad. Sorry, pinkalicious.

It smells like dirty socks.

I don't think it's helping at all, ms. Penny.

Okay class, let's move outside

Until the air in the classroom has a chance to clear.

Wish we had something to get rid of that smell.

You could make to get rid of the odor.

But pink is the best smell ever!

I like the smell of cinnamon buns.
