Ah!

We miss you, Sadie! We miss you, Sadie!

Hi! It's me, Hal!

We hope you've enjoyed this video postcard we made you!

(Static crackling)

Boy, I miss those guys.

I wonder what they're up to right now.

(Beeping)

Sadie! Hey!

Hi, Daisy!

I wanted to say thanks

for making me that awesome video of my last visit.

Hey, where's everybody else?

Hello!

Hi, Sadie!

Tah-dee!

Whoa! You guys are climbing a tree?

Yep! We were suddenly in a tree climbing mood. So--

We climb! We climb!

Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah! We climb!

You guys are so lucky.

You can just go out in nature

and play with whatever pops into your head.

Like, climbing a tree would be so fun now!

But don't you have a place to play outside?

Oh, yeah, my friends and I love to play

here on this playground whenever we can.

Whoa! Look at all those dogs!

Hello, fellow doggies! It's me, Hal!

Yeah, but it isn't the same as playing in the woods.

I mean, so much to do there, so many surprises!

MAN: Oh, Sadie!

Oh, got to get back inside.

I'll call you later when I'm back at the playground.

Farewell!

Bye, Sadie. Bye Sadie!

Bye, doggies that are behind you!

Sadie sure misses playing in the woods.

She sure does, Daisy.

I wish she could have some woods to play in like us.

What he said!

But what can we do?

Sadie's playground doesn't look like it's near the woods.

It's too bad we can't just bring all this to her.

That's it!

Hal, you are a genius!

Yep, I'm a genius, been there, done that.

Hear ye! Hear ye!

If Sadie's playground doesn't have woods to play in,

then we shall bring the woods to her playground!

Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah!

Yes, great idea, genius idea! Who thought of that one?

Count the mouse in!

So if we want to go to the Big City,

it's fastest to take the canal, which means we'll need a boat!

Water, why'd it have to be water?

Tally-ho, fellow seafarers!

So, Nature Cat, what's the plan, man?

How are we going to bring the woods to Sadie's playground?

Haven't a clue, Squeeks!

But what an adventure we're on, huh?

Onward and yonward!

Hmm. So, this is Sadie's playground.

Let's play!

Ah!

Whoops! Sorry, Nature Cat!

That's okay, Hal.

Lots of space.

Oh, hey, this might be the place to make look like our woods!

Yes, yes! It sure is!

So, what do we do now?

(Chuckling)

I know!

We are going to just put in this--

if we all could maybe find-- with a touch of--

Okay, I don't know what to do.

Aye-aye, captain! Neither do I!

I think we should make a plan.

Yes, great idea, Daisy!

A plan is exactly what we need.

So, how should we make this plan?

We could use this to get ideas.

Oh, look.

We'll need sticks,

lots of different sticks so they can build something!

SQUEEKS: And we'll need rocks and tree stumps and logs!

Oh, Sadie's going to have a blast

making up games with these bad boys,

like she did in the woods!

And dirt, lots of wonderful, glorious, dirty dirt!

And don't forget, a tree for climbing.

Everybody loves climbing!

Okay, so, rocks, stumps, logs, sticks, tree.

Something like this, mayhaps?

Sweet! Love it!

But how are we going to get all the sticks and rocks and stumps?

SQUEEKS: Whoa, good point, Daisy. We are in the middle of a city.

Well, we could, umm--

I was thinking, you know-- there's always--

if we just--

(Phone ringing)

You'd better answer that.

Oh, no! It's Sadie!

If she sees us, she'll know we're here!

And the surprise'll be ruined!

(Gasping) I've got it.

Umm, hello?

Whoa! You guys are still climbing trees?

Oh, you know--

You guys just have so much fun playing!

So, Sadie, are you planning on coming--

I mean, going to your playground anytime soon?

(Yawning)

I'm going to take a quick nap.

But I'll be out again in an hour.

Talk to you later!

Okay, guys, we have an hour!

When this bone is gone, the hour is up!

We got to find all the nature supplies we need now.

But how? How?

Nature Cat, look!

Hey! It's our old friend Hawk!

And there's Possum, Rat, Pigeon and Skunk!

Hi, Possum, Rat, Pigeon and Skunk!

It's me, Hal!

Oh, yeah, awesome!

What are you guys doing here?

A little birdie told us that you were in town.

Guilty as charged!

We're so glad to see you!

We want to surprise our friend Sadie

with this idea we have for her playground.

But we need all kinds of nature supplies.

We can get all kinds of nature things. We got connections.

That we do, Rat. That we do.

Let's ride!

Tally-ho!

(Gasping)

(Grunting)

Ah!

This is outstanding! Great work, everyone.

Now let's follow the plan with all this stuff

so Sadie and her friends can decide

how they want to play with it!

We can do this.

Let's go! Tally-ho!

Ooh, this is coming along nicely. Allow me to help!

Huh?

Umm, a little help. Help.

(Sawing)

(Coughing)

Sorry. I have wood in my mouth.

We're making a log tunnel, just like in the Woods!

Amazing work, you two!

Whoa!

Help! Little help here!

This really is just like in the Woods!

Let's get him out of there.

Fetch, Hal!

Fetch!

Quite the system you have, friends.

Fetch!

Huh?

(Grunting)

Great catch. Ow.

This is amazing!

Yes, yes, yes, I love it!

(Cheering)

Now we just wait for Sadie to come and see her surprise.

(Giggling)

We did it!

Oh no, wait! We forgot one thing!

Oh, no, we did: a big tree to climb on!

How can everybody climb if there's no tree?

Okay, no need to panic, we still have plenty of time.

Yipes!

We don't have plenty of time!

Okay, panic! Panic! Panic! Panic!

(Screaming)

Time is running out!

(Grunting)

Sadie's on her way here!

Where are we going to find a big climbing tree in a minute?

"A climbing tree"? I'm on it!

(Sniffing)

(Horns honking)

Tah-dee! Found one!

Yes, yes, this should work perfectly, Hal! Come on!

(Grunting)

(Yelling)

(Barking)

Oh, no! Sadie's coming right now!

I don't know how to stop this!

Ah!

Whoa! What are you guys doing here?

And what's all this?

You said you missed the woods. So, we brought the woods to you!

Surprise!

This is the best surprise ever! I got to tell my friends!

(Whistling)

Yo! Let's play!

You even put in a climbing tree!

Oh, so happy! This is the best!

'Twas no problem whatsoever,

anything for a fellow nature lover!

Thank you, Nature Cat!

And thanks to all of you! Now, what do you say we play?

We play! We play!

Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah! We play! Oh, yeah!

A frolicking we go!

(Laughing)

Guys, guys, guys, today's the big day!

It's the "Small But Big" Art Fair opening!

And I'm going to show at it! I'm so excited!

Well, if you're so, so, so excited, Squeeks,

then I'm so, so, so excited.

Oh, me too, too, too, too also.

Tell us more, Squeeks!

I'd love to!

Well, the art fair's all about celebrating

the little things in nature:

the world of tiny plants and animals

that live beneath our very own feet!

Fascinating!

Under my feet? Yikes!

Oh, my dearest Nature Cat, there's beauty everywhere,

no matter how big or small.

You just have to look a little harder for the small.

Now. what do you see?

Umm, I see a rock.

Yep, just a plain old rock.

Well, take a look at this! Now what do you see?

DAISY: Man, oh, man, teeny, tiny, shiny crystals.

What?

Oh, hello, teeny, tiny, shiny crystals.

It's me, Hal.

Who knew those crystals were there,

just waiting to be explored?

Yep, with a magnifying glass, we can see so much more,

little details you never knew existed. Cool, right?

Yes, yes, yes! I can't wait for the art show!

What art are you making?

A sculpture.

Ooh! Of what?

You'll see. I got to go finish it.

Oh! I almost forgot! Here's the directions.

I'll meet you guys there! I'm so excited!

It's so small. I can barely read it.

Oh, no!

How are we going to follow the directions if we can't read 'em?

Looky here.

I've got my own magnifying glass,

my Magnificent Magnifying Glass to the rescue!

Whoa! The little words are so much bigger now!

Okay, to get to the art exhibit, take the Li'l Mouse Trail

near the yellow boulder in Sunset Park,

to the far side of the woods.

Let's go! Onward and yonward!

Yeah!

(Laughing)

We have reached Sunset Park.

Now to find the Yellow Boulder!

Yellow Boulder? Yellow Boulder?

Umm, Nature Cat?

Yeah, you're standing on the yellow boulder.

Oh, so I am!

Okay, anyway, now what?

Next we need to find the Li'l Mouse Trail.

"Li'l Mouse Trail"? Should be easy enough.

(Laughing)

Anyone find Li'l Mouse Trail?

Not me: I haven't even seen a li'l mouse.

Wait a minute!

If the trail's for little mice,

the trail's probably really small and hard for us to find.

Oh, no wonder we can't find it!

Now we'll never get to the art show!

Don't worry, Hal!

My Magnificent Magnifying Glass should do the trick!

Looking, looking, looking.

Hello. What do have we here?

Now you see it. Now you don't!

Now you do!

Excuse me, tiny bug. Have you seen Li'l Mouse Trail?

(Chuckling)

Found it!

Thank you, bug!

(Shutter clicking)

Huh, who knew those little cuties

were crawling around out here?

And who knew they could be so, so helpful?

To the art show!

Following the Lil' Mouse trail!

Onward and-- Yipes-ward!

What's wrong, Nature Cat?

I don't want to frighten you.

But there's a giant, terrifying monster down there!

A monster?

That's not a monster, Nature Cat.

It's just a daddy longlegs.

Oh, hi, li'l guy.

But of course!

I was just looking at it through my Magnificent Magnifying Glass,

honest mistake, very sorry about the whole monster thing.

Hi, daddy longlegs. It's me, doggy longlegs.

(Laughing)

Actually, no, my legs aren't long like yours.

I was just kidding.

NATURE CAT: Long legs and two eyes.

And he looks hungry.

NATURE CAT: Make that very hungry! Whoa, oh, oh!

Oh, sweet!

(Shutter clicking)

DAISY: Whoa, look at this snail's shell, so perfectly spiraled!

(Shutter clicking)

HAL: How about this dandelion?

So curly and flowery and all at the same time!

(Shutter clicking)

My magnificent magnifier is truly magnificent.

I'm seeing things I never knew were there!

Almost there: just got to run over this huge log,

so easy!

Not a huge log, but a skinny branch?

Mother!

(Screaming)

Help!

(Panting)

Wait. How did you get over here so fast?

We just went around the ditch instead.

Hmm.

That would've helped.

(Laughing)

We'll be at the art show at any moment!

Nothing can stop us now!

Uh-oh.

I've got to stop saying that!

Oh no, a fork in the road!

Oh! Which path do we follow?

If we don't follow the right one,

then we'll never get to Squeeks' art show!

Let's see what the directions say.

"At the fork, follow the trail with the rock."

Huh, but all the paths have rocks on them.

(Clearing throat)

"The rock that looks like a bunch of rocks stuck together."

It's that one!

Yes, yes, Hal, you're right!

It looks like a bunch of pebbles all mushed together.

Whoa! It's certainly beautiful!

(Shutter clicking)

Come on, this way! Tally-ho!

Oh, man, what a disaster!

Hey, Squeeks, we made it!

Hi, guys.

Oh. Nice sculpture?

Yeah, oh, I love it! What is it?

Umm, I call it

the Uncommon Common Housefly.

Oh, okay. I mean, I get the "Uncommon" part.

But I don't see the housefly part.

Umm, what Hal means is it only kind of looks like a fly.

But it will really look like a fly

when you're finished with it. Right, Squeeks?

No, Hal nailed it. It doesn't look like a real fly at all.

The show is going to start soon. And I've got nothing to show!

Too bad we don't have a real fly to look at

so we can see what parts are missing.

Hey, yeah, that's it, Hal! You're a genius!

"A genius"? Like I haven't heard that one before.

Wait. Have I heard that one before?

Where am I? I don't even know where I am right now.

(Buzzing)

A-ha: a fly!

Come here, you fly!

Whoa!

I'll catch it and save the day!

Then again, maybe I won't.

Allow me.

Hello, fly. It's me, Hal.

Can you step in here for a second

so that we can see you close up?

Thank you, milady!

How does he do that?

DAISY: Come on, Squeeks, let's see what your fly is missing.

HAL: Whoa, look at those lines on the wings!

Yeah, they help keep her wings firm when she flies.

And what do you know:

two little wings under the main big wings.

I never saw those before.

NATURE CAT: And would you look at the size of those eyes!

Each eye is actually thousands of tiny little eyes

so she can look in every direction.

How cool is that?

No way, she's got hair on her legs like mine,

but you know, not so hairy, like mine,

but a little bit.

Okay, guys, let's make a fly!

DAISY: Now that's a fly!

A small but big work of art!

Oh, you guys are the best! Thank you for your help.

And thanks to you, fly.

We couldn't have done it without you.

Fly safe, my friend! Keep in touch!

Send me a postcard or something!

The Small But Big Nature Art Fair is officially open!

Have a wonderful time looking at beautiful art.

(All muttering)

Oh, would you look at this. This is swell!

That's fantastic.

Oh, wow! Look at the detail!

That's fabulous.

Small but important!

Ooh! Ooh!

Ah! Ah!

(All muttering)

FEMALE VOICE: Oh, I love it.

Fantastic.
