[Everett] Lemonade Champs!

Nice!

Whatcha doin'?

Oh, don't forget the straw.

Liana?

Okay, okay. I see ya, Sis.

Louisa?

[trills]

Alright! Mmhmm, this looksgood.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

[giggle] Come look!

We're playing Lemonade Champ!

Yeah, it's a game Mom let us download,

Where you run a pretend lemonade stand and TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

Or more like you try to become the best lemonade seller in the world.

Wanna play?

Uhhh...do tables have legs? Do chickens lay eggs?

I guess that's a yes.

[gasp] Ev, Ev! Wanna play Lemonade-

[sigh]

Hey, whatcha thinking about?

Meow-Town.

The animal shelter where you got Kibbles?

Yeah. It's having a big fundraiser next week,

To raise money so they can take care of even more kittens!

That's awesome!

Or should I say paw-some!

[giggle]

I really want to help, but... I don't have any money!

[trills]

I need to think of a way to get more money,

So I can help Meow-town help more kittens!

Hmmm...Ooooh, I know how to make money!

We can become the best lemonade sellers in the world,.

Like Liana and Louisa's game - but for real!

Everett, we can make a lemonade stand to get money for Meow-Town!

[gasp] That's an amazing idea!

I think you mean a-meow-zing?

[Lyla wiggles her eyebrows]

Hey uh, Dad?

Can Everett and Stu and I put up a lemonade stand

outside the diner to get money for the kittens at Meow-Town?

Sounds good, Lil' Loops.

Tell you what,

We'll donate the lemons to help raise money for the little kitty-cats!

Thanks, Dad!

Sweet! Thanks Mr. L!

[Lyla] Yes! Woohoo! [Everett] [laughs]

[Lyla] Okay..

We have lemons,

[trills]

[Lyla] Ice,

sugar,

and two pitchers.

Time to make some Meow-town, money-makin', lemonade!

[trills excitedly]

[Stu eats a lemon]

[Stu] [trills]

[Stu rides in on a lemon] [trills]

[Stu] [trills] [Lyla] Woo! [Everett] Alright!

[Stu stares at the lemonade] [trills]

[Everett puts ice cubes into the lemonade]

[Stu stirs vigorously, sloshing lemonade everywhere]

[trills]

[Lyla pours the lemonade and slides a cup over to Everett]

[Everett takes a sip of the lemonade]

[strained groan]

Too sour!

[Lyla dumps too much sugar into the pitcher and stirs]

[Stu pours the new lemonade into a glass]

[Everett takes a sip]

[Everett wide-eyed]

[groan]

Too sweet?

[Stu squeezes a lemon into a pitcher and eats it]

[trills]

[Lyla stirs the pitcher]

[Stu pours the Lemonade into a glass]

[Everett takes a sip of the lemonade]

Deeelicious!

[Lyla] Yes! [trills]

It's lemonade-selling time!

When this jug is filled, we can donate all the money to Meow-Town.

To help take care of the kittens.

Hey, Lyla! Hey, Ev! You sellin' lemonade?

Yeah!

You're our first customer!

One cup, please.

[Lyla pours a cup of lemonade]

Donate what you can, for Meow-Town!

[trills]

[Miss Emmaline] Hi, kids.

[giggle]

Come one, come all, for our COLD AND FRESH lemonade!

[Lyla pours a cup]

[Money is added to the fundraiser jar]

[Lyla pours another cup]

[More money is added to the fundraiser jar]

[Everett empties a pitcher]

[Zakiya] Got some more for me, Lyla?

Oh, sorry, Zakiya, we're sold out!

Come back tomorrow, we'll have more.

Okay, thanks. Bye!

[Lyla] Bye! [Stu] [[trills]

Wow, I guess we should make WAY more lemonade to sell tomorrow!

Yeah! We'll fill this jug with money for Meow-Town in no time!

Ready to sell a lot of lemonade, Lyla?

Let's do it!

Come one, come all for our COLD AND FRESH,

[Lyla] Lemonade! [Stu] [[trills]

[Rain starts to pour]

[Lyla with little enthusiasm] Come one, come all... for our COLD AND FRESH... lemonade...

This is definitely not the bestlemonade sale we've had.

There were so many customers yesterday. Where is everyone?

[gasp]

Two lemonades coming right up!

[Lyla pours two cups of lemonade]

At least we got two customers.

[Everett] [sigh] [Lyla] [sigh]

[gasp]

Miss Emmaline! Want some ice cold lemonade?

Bless your heart.

But ice cold lemonade on a cold, rainy day?

No, thank you, dear.

[Everett's tummy audibly rumbles]

Hey Lyla, I'm getting hungry. I think we should stop and try again tomorrow.

[sigh]

Alright.

I don't get it! Yesterday, we ran out of lemonade.

And today barely anybody wants lemonade at all?

Hard day for selling lemonade, huh?

Yeah..

Wait... how'd you know it was hard to sell lemonade today?

Do you like cold lemonade when it's cold and rainy, or when you're all hot and sweaty?

Of course...

Yesterday, it was so hot out, people wanted cold lemonade to cool off.

And today, it's cold and rainy, so barely anybody wanted lemonade.

So we need to make more lemonade when it's hot out,

And less when it's cold out.

But how can we figure out exactly how many pitchers to make?

Why don't you do it like in Lemonade Champ?

See? In Lemonade Champ, every day they tell us what the weather's gonna be.

That way, we can decide how much lemonade to make,

So we don't make too much or too little.

And this chart helps us keep track of how much we sell when it's sunny or rainy,

So we can predict how much to make!

Wow!

Liana, Louisa, you're geniuses!

[in unison] Or just lemonade champs!

[Lyla] Dun-dun-dunn-dunahhh!

This is our Lemonade and Weather Tracker Chart!

Here, we draw what the weather was each day,

And over here we draw how many pitchers of lemonade we sold.

Check!

And here's where we draw the pitchers we made but didn't sell.

X!

On the first day, it was sunny.

We made two pitchers and sold them both!

[Stu watches intently]

The second day it was rainy. We made four pitchers -

--- - but only sold one!

[Kibbles purrs]

So if it's raining tomorrow, let's try only making one pitcher.

That's how many we sold last time it rained.

And if it's sunny, we should make...

How about three?

Good idea. And if we sell them all AGAIN, we can make four pitchers!

And then if we sell all those, we can make five!

Then six, and then seven, all the way up to a trillion million pitchers!

[Everett] Lyla?

Right okay, let's start with three.

[trills]

[More money is added to the fundraiser jar]

[Lyla adds to the lemonade chart]

[Lyla pours a cup of lemonade]

[More money is added to the fundraiser jar]

Everett adds to the lemonade chart]

[Lyla and Everett sell two more cups]

[trills]

[A customer wants a refill]

[Stu shrugs] [trills]

[Lyla adds to the lemonade chart]

[Stu sells two more cups]

[Lyla sells another cup]

[Even more money is added to the fundraiser jar]

YES! A sunny day the best weather for selling lemonade.

[trills]

Today's the day of the Meow-Town fundraiser... and we're SO close!

We can do it!

We've been selling lemonade for six days.

And whenever it's sunny, we sell all the lemonade we make.

[Everett] Except yesterday, we made five pitchers and only sold four!

[Lyla] And the day before we also sold four!

I think four pitchers must be the magic sunny day lemonade number!

Come one, come all! Fresh, cold, lemonade ready to go!

Now this is what I'm talkin' about.

We sold almost exactly four pitchers.

The chart really worked!

And the money jug is almost full!

[Zakiya] Whew! Got a cup of lemonade left for me?

Coming right up!

[trills]

[Stu pours a cup of lemonade]

[sigh] Perfect. Thanks!

[Money is added to the jar, making it full]

[trills goodbye]

[Lyla] [gasp] [Everett] [gasp]

[Lyla] Yes! [Everett] We did it!

We filled the money jug for Meow-Town!

[chanting in unison] Lemonade Champs!

[trills]

[stretching effort]

[stretching effort]

Okay, ready?

Let's go!

Aaaannnd, ACTION!

I LOVE basketball.

And I LOVE ballet!

But we REALLY love finding ways to do the things we love - together.

So why not collaborate--

--and work together to do a mash-up.

That's what I call flexible thinking, Lili!

And you've got to be flexible to do ballet!

Right! So, here's how you play Basket-ballet.

In basketball, you HAVE to dribble down the court.

But in Basket-ballet, you have a choice.

You can dribble.

[Louisa dribbles]

OR you can do ballet moves.

You can leap--

You can do Chaine turns.

You can also pirouette,

Or move down the court on your toes.

Let's show '‘em how it's done, Sis!

Yeah!

[Liana dribbles down the court]

[Liana throws the ball]

[The ball bounces around the basket]

Wooo!

[Everett] Alright! [laughs]

Before you know it, basket-ballet will be the hottest trend ever!

[in unison] Basket-ballet all day!

Aaaaannnd cut!

Ha ha! Yeah!

[gasp] Hey!

[Louisa] Double Dutch Dilemma

[Lyla warms up for a jump rope session]

[deep breath]

Ready Lyla?

[Everett] ACTION!

[Lyla jumps rope]

CUT!

Watch this...

[Lyla] Oh yeah!

Just wait until you see what else this tablet can do!

Hey, Stu!

[trills]

When I call, 'Action!' jump rope like Lyla as fast as you can.

[Everett] Action!

[Stu jumps rope]

[trills]

[Lyla] [coughing]

[Stu] [trills]

Hey Stu, [cough] STOP!

[coughing]

Now, watch me change it to slow motion.

[Stu slowly jumps rope]

[Stu winks at the camera]

[Stu yawns sleepily]

[Stu does a mid-air trick]

[Stu flips upside down]

[in unison] [giggling]

[Stu twirls the rope in one hand]

Y'all coming to watch Double Dutch Crew practice?

Yeah, I'm gonna take videos!

[trills]

[Stu trips on the jump rope]

[trills]

Double Dutch Crew, let's go!

We got some new routines to practice.

[Liana and Louisa practice with Zakiya]

[Zakiya] Woo!

[Liana and Louisa practice with Zakiya]

[Zakiya] Alright!

[Liana and Louisa practice with Zakiya]

[Lyla] Woohoo! Yeah! That was awesome!

[trills]

[Zakiya] Okay! Okay! C'mon!

[Liana and Louisa practice with Zakiya]

[Liana watches the two ropes as they turn, and jumps in]

[Liana] Alright!

That's a wrap! Great practice!

Wow! I wish we could learn to jump like that!

Yeah,

they're IN-credible!

[Zakiya] Hold up!

Don't forget about tryouts next week. Tell your friends!

Did she mean tryouts to join the Double Dutch Crew?

Yep. Oh, you want to join?

Uh, do ropes turn? Does fire burn? Do students learn?

I'll take that as a yes.

As long as you can jump in and out of the ropes, you're in.

Sign me up.

Me too!

[Louisa] Might not be as easy as it looks.

We already know how to jump with one rope.

How much harder could two ropes be?

And we have a whole week to practice!

[trills]

Okay...

You two turn and I'll jump in.

[Lyla] Ready? Go!

[Stu and Everett turn the ropes]

[trills]

[Stu and Everett turn the ropes]

Hmm?

[Lyla] Whoaa!

[Everett] Ahh! [Stu] [trills]

[Everett] [groan]

[trills]

Ooookay, this is not working.

Yeah, [sigh]

I don't remember exactly how they were doing it.

Me neither.

[gasp]

Wait... Didn't you film the practice?

Yes! We can watch the video!

[trills]

[Lyla] There's so much going on...

[Lyla] There's jumping in the rope--

[Everett] --and turning the rope...

[Lyla] And look at how her feet move from one foot to the other.

We have to hop from foot to foot. Like this--

[Everett hops] Right, left, right, left, right, left, right.

Hmm...

Right... left, right, left, right, left.

[trills]

[Stu joins in]

This is easy.

It just keeps repeating.

Over and over again, like a--

-- a loop! Right, left, right, left! We got this!

Now we just need turners so we can practice in the ropes.

[Lyla] Hey!

We figured out our footwork!

Right, left, right, left - see!

[trills]

Can you turn for us to practice?

Not right now. Mom's taking us to our music lesson.

Why don't you go ask Dad?

He knows how to turn double dutch?

Yeah! How do think we learned?

[Lyla] Hey Dad! [Stu] [trills]

Can you turn double dutch?

Of course!

Back in the day, they called ya daddy, the Duke of Double Dutch!

Can you teach us, so we can try out for the Double Dutch Crew?

Your Highness?

[trills]

The Duke is at your service.

Aight, let's get at it.

[trills]

Hey Stu, please turn the ropes with both hands.

[trills]

[Stu turns the ropes too fast]

Stu, STOP.

[trills]

Turn it like this, Stu:

Bring the right hand over, then the left hand over,

then the right hand over, then the left hand over.

One after the other, over and over again.

[trills]

Yeah, like that!

[trills]

Keep going, Stu! You got it!

[trills]

Hey! Turning the rope is another loop!

So there are two loops in double dutch?

Uh huh. There's a loop with our feet:

Right, left, right, left.

And there's anotherloop turning the rope.

Right hand over, left hand over.

We got this! C'mon Ev!

[Lyla] Oh! Whoa! Oof! [Everett] Oh! Ah! Bla!

[groan]

Okay, kids... Come stand in the ropes first.

That way, you can focus on your footwork.

Aight, Stu, turn nice and slow.

[trills]

[Stu turns the rope]

[in unison] Right, left, right, left, right.

Hey hey hey! Y'all are doing great! Okay, hold up.

Stu, stop.

Now, let's work on jumping in.

Hey Stu, let's turn same as before.

So far everything has been a loop, right?

Right!

So, what you need to do is find the right timing to jump IN the loop.

How do you do that?

Pick one of the ropes and watch it closely.

You'll notice a pattern.

[Lyla] Hmm... [Everett] Hmm...

I'll watch the red rope.

Me, too.

Okay... red rope goes up, then down, then up again.

Hey... it's a loop! It's a... it's a loop!

I see it too but, when do we jump in?

Go stand by Stu.

When the rope you're watching goes up, then jump!

[effort]

I did it!

Up... down... up... down...

[jumping effort]

[giggle]

Hey, hey, hey! Excellent! Now, jump out!

Jump out!?

Here goes!

[jumping effort]

Yes!

Come on, you can do it!

When the rope goes up, jump out.

[jumping effort]

[Lyla trips and falls on the rope]

Jumping out's harder!

[trills]

We got this!

We just have to remember the three loops.

First, the loop for our feet.

[trills]

Right, left, right, left.

And the loop to turn the ropes:

Right over, left over, right over, left over.

And the loop to jump in and outof the ropes:

Up, down, up, down.

Exactly! Just focus on your loops!

You'll be in the Double Dutch Crew before you know it.

[Stu] [trills] [Lyla] [laughs]

[in unison] Right, left, right, left, right, left.

[jumping effort]

[Lyla] Right over, left over, right over, left over, right over, left over...

Up, down, up, down, up, down, JUMP!

Yeah! Awesome, Ev!

Up, down, up, down, up, JUMP OUT!

Whoops, sorry Stu!

[trills]

Hmm...

Ahh..

Today's the big Double Dutch Crew tryouts, huh?

Yup.

And we're ready to do our best- no matter what!

Think it'll help if I come along and turn for you?

[gasp]

Yes, please, Dad!

[Liana] Alright Ev!

[Louis] Yeah Ev! [chuckle] That's how you do that, son!

[Louisa] Fantastic!

Yes!

[Zakiya] All right, who's trying out next?

Uhhh...

I'm next!

You got this!

Remember: up, down to jump in the rope and then right, left to keep jumping.

C'mon Lil' Loops, you show 'em what you got!

[Everett] C'mon, you can do it! [Louisa] Go, go, go!

Okay, I can do this.

Right, left, right, left...

[jumping effort] [Lyla's foot gets caught]

Ohhh...

It's okay, Lyla. Do it again!

I can do this. I can do this!

Watch the rope, up, down, up, down.

Jump!

Whooaaa!

[cheeringwalla]

[Everett] You did it, Lyla!

[trills]

[in unison] We did it! We did it!

[laugh] Welcome to the Double Dutch Crew!

[Lyla] Yes! [Everett] [laughs]

We couldn't have done it without the Duke of Double Dutch!

The Duke of WHA--?

Double Dutch! Show 'em, Dad!

Aiight!

Y'all turn and let the Duke show the doubters how he became nobility!

Come on, Stu!

[trills]

Go Duke! Go Stu! Go Duke! Go Stu! Go, go, GO!

Woo!

[laughing]
